Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:Clarification:According to American Mint, I only contacted them twice. In actuality I spoke with there service deptbetween and times. They did promise ( on three of those conversations ) to send a form for reporting a returned or possibly lost item. I have yet to received the described form. I was also told that my acct would be but on hold. Neither of which occurred. I continue to receive letters threatening collection. In fact the latest one was received this morning on 10/20/15. I spoke with there representative this morning requesting something in writing that my account was paid in full and that I have no further financial responsibility to American Mint. The dollars have no significance to me, but the aggravation is a headache. I wonder if they make this type treatment of their customers a common practice, hoping persons will just pay the acct (as I ultimately did) and leave it at that. I suppose that makes it profitable for American Mint

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me We never ordered or received the merchandise and this was confirmed by American Mint customer service during the phone callsIn addition customer support three times (twice to mail, once to email) failed to send the document for us to sign indicating that we never receivedIf they had followed through this complaint would have never been filedI told them the third time if I did not receive the email or document in US mail and got another bill I would file a complaintIt is sad that it took the complaint to get American Mint to honor what they had stated three times to me on the phoneHowever, I will accept that they have cleared the account but I never want them to ever mail me anything else in the future - that includes solicitations to order or mail me something that I have to return to not be billed.

This company sends you an offer on a desirable item and if you buy it, you are agreeing to have future items sent to you but this is in print so small you can't read itThen in a few weeks you get the item that you really wanted along with the junk that they are really in the business of sellingIt appears that another small print message giving you days to request a return labelI didn't see this message and didn't send a request for return label but instead sent the invoice in supplied envelope with a message that I did not want the item and not to send any future junk but they sent another package and won't refund the item I was charged forThis also means that they keep your credit card number on file so they can charge you without authorizationI thought this was illegal or a least unethical

I am rejecting the response that was sent to the Revdex.com from American Mint
American Mint has been in contact with me since I have filed the complaints with the Revdex.com, New York State Attorney General and Consumer AffairsThey have now provided Return Shipping Labels so the coins that were included in my order for “PREVIEW” can be returned and credited to my accountThe coins that were sent for “preview” have been mailed to American Mint with USPS Tracking Number *** on January 30, 9:amCurrent status is showing “Still in Transit”, no estimated delivery date is shown(***)
My reason for rejecting the response from American Mint is the deceptive sales method they are using and the response by Customer Service when I first contacted them about the additional chargesI did not see anywhere on the order form that I would be receiving additional coins for “PREVIEW” along with the coin that I requested to purchaseWhen I received my package in the mail, I thought that is what I ordered, not that my order also included additional coins that I need to returnOnly the paragraph on the Order Form below my signature has verbiage that unless I put an X through the paragraph I will be eligible for a free preview of additional coins in the collectionNowhere it was stated or identified in the mailed package that these coins were for preview and needed to be returned in days otherwise I would be billedMy first notification that I got that I was sent coins for “PREVIEW” was the statement I received from American Mint for additional charges dueMy point is this is very deceptive advertisingAfter reading the response to the Revdex.com from American Mint and the fine print on the Order Form, I now see how they are deliberately trying to take advantage and deceive the purchaser with tricky wordingTheir methods may be legal but they are unethicalAfter researching American Mint’s business practices, I have found multiple unscrupulous sales tactics that they have deployed for quite some time nowIn the Pennsylvania Attorney General took action against them
I would like to keep my complaint active until the return package is delivered and I have received credit to my account
