The company never pressured me at all to use themThey did however, spend countless hours with me on numerous phone calls answering every little question I hadThey were patient, friendly and completely upfront about everything I should expectThey clearly explained to me that I could certainly do all of this myself, if I wanted to Their fee is simply for filling out pages and pages of paperwork that I did not want to doThey know exactly which documents are needed so your application gets done correctly the first timeMy father now receives the benefit he so greatly needs, with thanks to this helpful organization

I began working with Americans Veterans Aid in August, My mother was then and her health was failing They were so helpful and supportive from the very beginning They took care of all the paperwork to apply for the veterans benefit The application for benefits was submitted to the VA on 9/28/On 10/16/I received a letter from the VA stating that the benefit would start on 11/1/ Of course they pay for the previous month so she received the first checked deposited to her account on 12/1/ I highly recommend Americans Veterans Aid to anyone Our experience was wonderful

I used American Veterans Aid to help me secure VA spousal benefits for my year old mother, to assist us with expenses for home care I started my process with AVA in June, and received approval from the VA in early September The help with all the required forms was wonderful, the assistance to make sure everything was in order before filing with the Veteran's Administration made everything go very smoothly and resulted in a quick approval of OUR benefits Every staff member at AVA was kind, patient, and professional I would recommend them to anyone trying to go through the process of applying for VA benefits, money well spent

I had occasion to use AVA services this past springAfter moving my elderly parents into an assisted living closer to my home, I had contacted the local Veterans Association office regarding their Aid and Assistance ProgramI was flat-out told to "forget it" because my parents had too much in assets ($plus a paid up condo)At the urging of the Assisted Living facility, I contacted the AVAThey were instrumental in assisting me in setting up a trust and making the arrangements to file the claim accuratelyThey even assisted in locating an attorney who specialized in intra-state trustsIn the mean time, my Father, who was the veteran passed awayThe AVA staff handled the new situation compassionately and stood by be in assisting to secure surviving spouse benefits for my year old MotherThe entire AVA staff operated very professionallyI could not be happier with their services

Great service to use I used this service for my mother back in 2014, with approval in a much quicker time-frame than I expected especially with payment from the government (try getting Social Security Disability and you will know what I mean) Timing was key since my mother died early Granted you do need to provide information, and there is a fee involved, but the expense was worth the lack of direction and time that I would have needed to provide trying to do this benefit from the government myself The $'s my mother got did allow us to have assistance my mother needed and she also thought was well worth the effort, and gave us piece of mind

AVA really helped my WWII vet Dad sort out the paperwork he needed to get together to file his claimThey gave us clear instructions, answered questions almost immediately, and took us step by step all the wayOur application was approved within a month of submittalThough you can probably make it through the process yourself, the small payment you pay out for AVA's assistance will be well worth it because they will catch any possible errors you could make on your own

American Veterans Aid took us through the entire application process for our uncle He was in the Army during the Korean War so he is eligible for Aid and Attendance benefit from the VA They told us exactly the proper documents to collect for the application and we sent them copies They checked everything over before we sent them to the VA We were approved within a month after applying American Veterans Aid charged a good size fee for their help in the process but without it the application could have been rejected for any reason Whenever I see a veteran with a VFW cap, I tell them about the Aid and Attendance program from the VA and the help the American Veterans Aid people gave us

We found this great place that helped us receive much needed benefits for our mother Dads service in the Navy during World War ll made her eligible for this monthly monetary, non taxable, benefit We were skeptical at first but we needed help to get through this lengthy process with all of the paperwork required by the VA We could never have done it without this groups help They were professional, very patient with us and our lack of knowledge and we are thrilled that now with this benefit mom can stay where she wants to with no financial burdens for her care We are grateful to this wonderful group of dedicated people who really do care! God bless all of you and thank you!

My father (a retired WWII veteran) passed in and shortly thereafter, my mother (who will be years old next month, suffered a stroke and later dementiaWe, her, children decided to take care of her It is a part of my mother’s Caribbean cultureI attended a session at work about caretakers and American Veterans Aid from a co-worker The team of representatives walked me through every step without showing any signs of frustration Each time I made contact, they were friendly and eager to assist Yes, you paid for the service, but they were very quick in assisting with the paperwork and filing, but the long waiting period came from the VA which has a large number of filings each day, now that the WWII generation is quickly disappearing Yes, it took a few months for the VA to complete the processing nd waited, and it finally come through and now we can provide the care my mother needs I am encouraging anyone out there to use the assistance of the American Veterans Aid The representatives were always patience and willing to assist me no matter how tedious or silly my questions were They caught mistakes and immediately alerted me Most of the paperwork was completed within hours of receipt of or notification of American Veterans Aid, THANK YOU!

I used American Veterans Aid to help my father in law receive his "Aid and Assistance" benefit through the VA this past year He was a Korean war veteran and is years old American Veterans Aid employees were extremely helpful and helped me wade through all of the paperwork and submissions that would have been impossible to figure out without them After months we finally received aid for my dad and it's been wonderful to be able to see his living expenses augmented with $a month from the VA This has been a huge blessing to us as my dad was just living on his social security and we were having to supplement his income I highly recommend American Veterans Aid to anybody in a similar position as my father in law

This organization was very helpful in submitting and getting approval for aidBe prepared, they are very detail oriented, which is necessary to qualify for benefits

Used them times 1st time they had us approved after only months 2nd time the VA lost the paper work and veterans aid worked it out in about months I'am very happy with there results and could have not done this on my own very difficult paperwork and process

I have been my Dad's primary caregiver for the past yearsLast year I reached out to my siblings expressing that it was time for me to get help with his careI work full time and having my own health issues it was time I raised the white flag and surrenderI went online and started to lookI was overwhelmed with emotionI felt guilty, I felt like no one could do this better then me, how will my father feel about this and mostly felt like I had failed him as well as my familyOne day I received an email from one of my brothers with a series of links online he had foundThat evening when I was scrolling I came across American Veterans AidI could not believe what I was reading, can this be trueAid for my dads care as well as my mom when neededToo good to be trueYou see my father worked shift work for Exxon, raised six children with my mom who also worked at home tirelesslyWe live comfortably but by no means rich and or have great savingsWhat we have is a good education provided by my parents, and great family values also taught to us by our parents by exampleBeing an avid Minutes watcher along with my Pop I wondered how did we miss this piece on tvI cannot tell you how awesome the people are at the American Veterans AidFrom day one obtaining all the information about their service and this aid available to veterans since the '1960's to the final submission of our parents application each and every person was was a pro in the task their job performedI cannot express how fortunate I was to come across this service as well as the aid receivedMy Dad will be in October and now has a wonderful caretakerHis life has changed for the better having companionship as well as the home care he requires on a daily basisMy life has changedI go to work knowing he is in good handsI'm his friend againThe latter may sound odd but if I did not read so much on caregivers I would never have known how much we all have in commonIt's ok to ask for helpAnd the best part ( because ultimately it comes down to what we can afford) there is aid out there for our hard working parents who defended our country selflessly during wartime American Veterans Aid is the best option in getting the education and help going through the process of obtaining this VA benefit
