I would like to thank American Veterans Aid for their help in getting financial assistance for my fathter from the Veterans OrganizationA few years ago I tried to apply for help and with the assistance of an individual didI didn't fill out the right information and received paperwork backThe exprience resulted in a year and a half trying to getting helpWe did financially recieve a small pensionIt wasn't until I worked with American's Veterans that I was able to receive the help to be able pay a part time caregiver and with family help keep my fathter from going to a nursing homeAmerican Veterans were there when I had questions and helped me fill out the right paperworkWhether I called or emailed, they contacted me and told me what to doThey even helped getting documents I needed to apply for helpIt only took a few months, quicker than expected and we received the finacial help we neededThe fee I paid was well worth the help we receivedThank you Americans Veterans

Wonderful organization very professional, communication is exceptional every step of the way done in a very efficient mannerIn my case my parent kept all records which expedited the process they will guide you as to which documents you need to obtainweekly scheduled calls at your selected time and emailsFinding this company was a Godsend as assisted living is expensive every little bit helps

As a WW II Vet, my father applied to the American Veterans Aid for assistance in getting financial supportThe AVA walked my Father and with me through the lengthy and at times complicated application process, guided us through the numerous sections, and assisted us with all our questions The AVA was efficient, helpful, and wonderful to work with

Hi my name is [redacted] ***My father is [redacted] and I am his daughter and P.O.A I have been taking care of my father now for two yearsHe is years old and has profound dementiaI was working two jobs and quit both jobs and moved him in with my husband and I to take care ofWe were having to take pay from his earnings of retirement in order for me to take care of himWe looked for help from Medicaid and some other places so that I could receive pay for caring for him instead of having to take from his retirementThey all said that he made to much money for them to assist us but did suggest checking into the veterans being that my father was a WWveteranI found American Veterans Aid online and contacted themThey talked to me and said that they thought they could helpThey were very helpful and there was a fee for their services but was well worth itThey kept me informed of all the steps they were taking and made sure all paperwork that needed to be done for the Veterans was done and that I had copies of itThey were wonderful to work with and like I said very helpfulI would highly recommend them for anyone that needs assistance in regards to dealing with the veteransI know that if I had contacted the veterans on my own I would not have a clue what to do and it would have taken forever for me to get things done where with their assistance it still takes awhile but everything is done correctly and efficientlyMy dad now recieves a VA benefit that pays for me to take care of him at home

I am extremely grateful for the guidance, support and follow through of the AVA and their involvement in helping to obtain approval of benefits for my father They were extremely professional, efficiently explained every step and requirement and did exactly what they said they'd do They answered emails and phone call timely and provided answers to all questions Yes, their service does cost, but I'm confident that the guidance received streamlined the process prevented any concern on our part

I found the AVA to be very helpful in applying for VA benefits for my father We worked very closely for months on the application and they advised me as to when would be the most opportune time for submitting application Most everyone was very professional to work with however, I did have one representative I had difficulty reaching at times Overall I would recommend this service

We used American Veterans Aid to get help for my mother Although the process took a while, the AVA made sure everything was done properly I would absolutely recommend them For anyone who has had any dealings with government paperwork, you will appreciate the help

When faced with completing the application process for the Aid in Attendance Benefit for my dad I was overwhelmed and totally confused by paperwork needing to be collected and forms completion I contacted American Veterans Aid and was assigned a case worker who explained which documents needed to be obtained and how to complete the forms for each stepWith the personal attention, counselling, and assistance provided I was able to correctly complete and submit the VA packet in a few weeks I began the process at the end of February and my dad received his first check in mid May Thank you AVA!

We reached out to AVA and were met with enthusiasm and genuine support They were very thorough and sent me lists of things to check off so I could easily gather all the tedious items together in one place It was worth the time it took to use them as my father is and in need of the assistance I would have grown discouraged if I had tried to do this on my own- and I would have most likely done something wrong and been rejected I am most satisfied

These people are fantastic they helped my father receive his well derived benefits

My family was assisted by the AVA in acquiring needed funds from the Veterans Dept for my mother, a widow of a WWsoldier They are very professional, courteous and caring people They took care of all the hurdles and did so in a very timely manner Great job, thanks!

American Veteran's Aid was instrumental in helping me obtain Veteran's benefits to pay for my mother's long-term care facility They carefully walked me through the process, answered my many questions accurately and promptly, and were always patient, willing and professional in their work with me They are well worth the fee I honestly don't think I would have gotten through it on my own I can recommend them without reservation

My sister and I were so happy that my year mother and widow of a WWII soldier was accepted to receive money to help us provide her with an a home for assisted living This money has made it possible The American Veterans Aid Company assisted us in getting all the paperwork ready to be submitted to the VA and it was approved in about months

I would like to thank American Veterans Aid for their help with my mom's claim with the Aid and AttendanceWe received her award letter in two months after we filed the claimI do believe if it was not for American Veterans Aid we would not have been approved so quicklyThank you so much Ardee for your helpI have begun to tell others about you

I highly recommend using American Veterans Aid if you wish to obtain aid and attendance financing for your veteran or his/her spouse My sister obtained the many forms to submit but the forms sat around in our computers for months, with us not knowing where to begin or how to complete them effectively
Starting over, AVA walked us through step by step, sent everything needed in doable amounts, kept up gentle pressure to complete the process, and sent us the preliminary and then the final documents to submit I did need to review the items along the way and found some typos and small errors and had a few questions, which were corrected and answered, respectively We made a last minute change which was also honored They were quick in getting answers from their expert, who also signs off at the end
The money we spent on the service was repaid in months from the aid received Since I was doing the process from miles away from my parent and not as speedy at obtaining signatures as hoped for, AVA filed a form to fix the date of eligibility for our parent, so she got a back payment for the period from then until when the the final papers were submitted Our submission was accepted on the first try, which is not at all common, I believe, if doing the process alone Thank you, AVA

Service is mediocre at best My experience was a sales pitch followed up by time delays and misdirection Ultimately we were able to file and receive benefits Perhaps useful if claimant does not wish to ask for assistance from the VA, which is provided
Specific exceptions:
We were told initially all communications were to be thru email to a specific address After several attempts we found out the "person" to route all email was off for personal reasons and none of the communications had been routed A better organization would address this flaw in maintaining quality communications
We were not informed that we could file an initial request to initiate (with the VA) the process This initiation of the process is to set the starting point and the vet/family has up to a year to file the actual claim This delayed the starting point for benefits by two months
The contract allows for a day window to receive full reimbursement of the up front fee After signing the contract it was two complete weeks before we were able to see any progress There were two "meetings" covering the exact same questions/potential issues as the very first contact
We were told AVA had a person on site in StLouis to obtain the necessary DD-information Some time after filing the proper forms we were informed by the VA the DD-(equivalent for prior years in out case) was not provided Subsequently we found this service was not provided at all
We were told AVA would be able to coordinate all necessary medical information on the appropriate forms After all authorizations for access to personal medical information was granted, we found that AVA did little except "pass the buck" between the claimant (family), Hospice and the medical doctor

Trying to access services when a loved one is sick is very stressful I could not have obtained the needed help without the assistance of these wonderful people I had contact with approximately a half-dozen people, and without exception they were all efficient, kind, and sympathetic to my situation They were helpful and reassuring, which allowed me to channel my energy to taking care of my family, not dealing with paperwork The assistance of this organization is worth every penny you pay them Thank you American Veteran's Aid!

When looking for funds to help with my Mother's costs for in-home care and future nursing home care, I had heard of and found online website for American Veterans Aid and researched details of how their plan workedI called and got more information and discussed the details with the rest of our familyWith our busy schedules and to expedite the process, we decided it would be worth the cost to use the expertise of American Veterans Aid to obtain this Aid fund for my motherThe process went quickly and everyone we spoke with was very informative, helpful and patient with usFrom the start of the process to deposit of first check into mom's account was five(5) monthsWe could not have done this on our own

Incredible benefit, this allows my mother to live comfortably in her declining years with the best of care

I had often heard that it is very difficult to navigate through the Department of Veterans AffairHowever when it came to the American Veterans Aid office, I had step by step guidance and I actually recommended it to others who may have family members who qualified The level of respect and understanding that was displayed towards me was awesome, they were there to answer questions and help me through all the red tape I am a very satisfied customer and so is my father, who served as a Sergeant in the United States Army
