Review: On 9/16/15 I was in need of some help looking for a home. I saw an advertising of Anchor House Financial. I decided to call the number, the guy told me that they would give me a full refund back after my 90 days no problem if I did not like their service. I read through their term and everything and accepted. The guy on another date informs me that I will have to send the owners of the home I am interested in letters stating that I would like to buy their home. I did not understand why I would have to do that but they said they would send me the information for that too, but did not. I waited until today 12/16/15 and a lady answered the phone I told her my information and stated that I needed my refund she told me to follow the prompt under terms of service. When I looked at terms to service it read differently than the first time I read it. I informed her that it made no sense and that I never received the information or letters and that I should not have to go through all of that just to get my money back I paid $199. I still have the receipt they sent to my email.Desired Settlement: I could have let that money go to something else. I do not have money to play over. I work hard for my money everyday.

Review: The representative did not fully disclose the program and the level of participation their company was involved. He further told me the company was accredited with the Revdex.com and that I had a full money back guarantee of I was dissatisfied for any reason. After purchasing the product I discovered that I had to do contact letters to the owners and everything myself. .not this company. Not what I was described in the sales pitch. I had to purchase the product to find out this information as it was not evident on the website literature and was vague until you purchase and gain access to the program. I was told it was government subsidised and was a safe investment. No told me that I had to wait 90 days before a refund could be given until I complained and asked for a refund per their money back guarantee. I want my money back. I have called several times and gotten rude people who refuse to help and tell me they can't do anythingDesired Settlement: I want a full refund now, nothing was disclosed until after I purchased and is a shady way of doing business

Review: They are a scam.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund for $199.

Review: Anchor homes advertised house for sale on Craigslist in fountain city indiana when I called them to check on it they sold me access to there Web site for 199 dollars upon logging in house was not even listed onthere site furthermore the homes are being sold at rates 20000 to 30000dollars more than there market value they are total scam. The person on the phone Carl Johnson said 199 was refundable if house was not found to purchase after paying for access to there website you find out you have to get them 5 letters were you were denied to purchase a house from there service and wait 90 days for a refund which was not disclosed to me. Something needs done about this business before they scam more peopleDesired Settlement: Desire immediate refund of $199

Review: I signed up with there services to find myself a home. After going to the website the listing that I saw on Craigslist wasn't there and there were only one listing in my area. On the phone call with them the representative said I could cancel the services anytime and get a refund within a year. I called there customer services and was told that I can't get a refund for 90 days. After I spoke to a very rude manager he told me to call back in 48 hours after he checks his recording of our phone call which he assures me that his representative didn't state that I could get a refund except for after the 90 days.Desired Settlement: I just want my money back and to be done with this company.

Review: I was online looking for rent to own companies. I found one called Anchor House Financial and later found out it was called Your American Standard by doing a phone # search on the BB site. I am disabled and have limited found but need a place to live. I asked every question known to man because it sounded too good to be true. They said I can get a refund with no problem after 90 days by just requesting one. I was not able to read their terms and conditions until after I had to pay the $199.00. Their refund policy was totally different then what I was told on the phone by K[redacted] @ ###-###-#### Option 2307. I found the listings to be old and every time I called back to get the name it would be debited under, no one would give me a straight answer. It was only when I typed the # here of customer service ###-###-#### did I get Revdex.com info. When I searched before I gave my payment of my credit card information under Anchor House Financial, ###-###-#### nothing came up under the Revdex.com.The refund policy does not allow you to just request it as stated by K[redacted] on 5/26/15, you need 5 turn down or return letters, there is a 10% fee for the processing of the refund, none was told to me when I called the first time and asked or the several times after that to advise that was not told to me. I even tried to call K[redacted] at the above # and no return call. I was duped into a major scam and once you join no one will help you and they say you should have read the terms and conditions, and I advised you can not until you have to pay. I was told too bad and hung up on several times. I must have called 5 times on 5/28/15 and I was very polite and just wanted to know why the refund policy was different then what I was told on the phone, again I was hung up on. When I called customer service again and asked why is the debit under a different company name I was transferred several times and when I finally spoke to someone who could answer it all they would tell me is if it is $199.00. No further information was given to me.Desired Settlement: I am requesting a full and immediate refund of my $199.00 due to the fact I was lied to over the phone when signing up about the refund, was not able to read the terms and conditions until I paid and that I could not find anything on the Revdex.com site until after I paid and gave me the customer service # ###-###-#### which popped up under a different company with an "F" rating. Please help I am disabled and need all the money I can get.Thank You

Review: Saw a listing on Craigslist for rent own a home and I called and was transferred to these folks who makes all these promise then after they get your credit card information you don't get anything they promise and they refuse to issue a refund..everything is not explained until after they charged your card. So after I look them up online and saw all the other complaints something need to be done about this company.Desired Settlement: I want my money back!!...They are scamming folks at difficult times in life and its not right.

Review: Refund of 199.00Desired Settlement: Refund of 199.00.

Review: I was looking for a home to buy before I paid the 200 dollars I was told it would be no problem finding what I wanted it has been two months now and I have been looking threw what they have and found nothing I have asked for numerous custom searches and only received two all of which have been the exact opposite of what I want and all they keep telling me is that they will do a custom search and then I never receive it they said to get my money back I have to write five letters to owners and get denial letter but there is nothing that I want and I don't want to write a letter to a home that I don't want and have them say that they like those terms and then be stuck with a property that I don't want I am on disabling and so is my son and I have requested to be refunded my money and they refuse to do soDesired Settlement: I would like them to refund the 200 dollars because I was deceived when told that it would be no problem to find the property I wanted

Review: I signed up for their service and paid the $199 fee hoping to find an affordable answer to my housing search. When I received the listing and selected a few houses that I was interested in I checked those houses against other websites like Zillow and Google. I found very disparate information between their site and what Zillow or Google had. One house they listed as a 3br 2ba house and the other sites I checked show it as a vacant lot with no house at all. Another house listing indicated that the monthly payment would only be around $750 based on what they had as a transfer value, but Zillow and Google showed it to be valued at over $1 million. When I questioned them about the obvious discrepancies, they pretty much just blew me off saying "well, the other sites must have the wrong information on the properties in question."Afterward, I found many negative reviews about the company being a scam. I wish I had seen those before I signed up.In order to get a refund, I have to wait 90 days, send them a certified letter requesting the refund and include at least 5 denial letters from properties that I have inquired about. If I don't get a response from one that I have inquired about, how am I supposed to provide a denial letter.Desired Settlement: I believe the refund requirements are unreasonable and unrealistic. I would like an immediate and full refund of the $199 fee.

Review: The information online doesn't match the addres or homes. I want my money back and now they say I have to wait 90 days when I called they said if you cannot find a home at any time you can get your money back.Desired Settlement: Look I just want my money back I need it for a deposit for a house I am mother of six and no place to live I trusted this people but they lied to me.

Review: When I contacted Anchor House Financial to inquire on the services they were offering I asked very specific questions about the process. I spoke with the representative twice(due to him accidently disconnecting me)and he told my husband and I that if we didn't find anything within 90 days that we would receive a refund. Unfortunately we proceeded and signed up for the services. We mailed letters to every home that was available in the area we were interested in. After 6 weeks without a single response or follow up to the letters that were sent I called Anchor House Financial to cancel and was told by a representative and a manager that I would have to send in 5 denial letters (at least) from the addresses that the letters were sent to after 90 days had passed and then request a refund. This is the problem with the service they are offering which was never explained to us. If a home owner is not interested in the offer there is no reason for them ever to send you a denial letter. This is obviously the case since we have never heard back from any of our inquiries. It is our own error for not reading the fine print however with the information given to us by the sales representatives we were confident that the 90 day trial period was worth trying it. I wish I had checked the Revdex.com site first rather than taking their word on their processes and policies.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund for the $199 we paid for this service because we were told that there was a 90 day trial period. With all of the questions that were asked there was never a mention that we would have to mail in 5 denial letters with our cancellation/refund request AFTER the 90 days had passed.

Review: On 11-19-15, I was looking for a house to rent and found one that was listed on Craigslist that I was interested in. I called the phone number listed (it was a WI telephone number so I was under the impression that I was contacting the homeowner) and was connected with this company. I had to ask multiple times what the company's name was, as the representative was not forthcoming with it. The representative told me that the home that I was looking at was a lease to own option and that for $199, I would be able to have a title search completed and that the title would be transferred into my name. I was leery, but asked several more questions about how the deed, the actual mortgage, whether the homeowner could change their mind and what the cancellation policy was. I was told there was a 90 day cancellation policy, that the title would be transferred into my name and that I would pay the mortgage company directly. The representative continued to reference their website, but would not provide me the web address until I gave payment in full. I eventually did pay the $199 and after reviewing the site, I discovered that this process was not at all how the representative presented it. What she had told me over the phone was not what I was seeing online. The first house I saw was listed through a local real estate agent and upon contacting her, she advised that lease to own was not an option on this property-either I bought it or I didn't and that this was likely a scam. I contacted the company again the next day (11-20) and requested to cancel. I was then told that I had to wait 90 days to cancel and I asked the rep more detailed questions to confirm that indeed, the customer is responsible for finding the properties, sending letters to homeowners and completing all of the legwork. And the house still would not be "mine". In the fine print on the website, I did find a cancellation policy-in order to get my money back, I would need 5 turndown letters from homeowners after 90 days.Desired Settlement: I simply want to cancel and get my $199 back.In the fine print on the website,it states that in order to get a refund the consumer will need to provide 5 turndown letters from homeowners stating that they are not interested in a lease to own option(which I was told by the rep that they chose this option)and that the refund will be less 10%.I was told the $199 was for a title search. No services were performed&none of the cancellation policy disclosures were made over the phone upon my purchase.

Review: False adverising..Desired Settlement: I expect my refund as advertise in the contract.

Review: this company is misleading and dishonest. Took money out off my credit card $199.00 without my permission and won't give it back.Desired Settlement: I want my refund

Review: My fiance and I on September 7th 2015, started an account with Anchor House Financial and paid them $199.00 for listings of houses in pre forecloser status. We were told that once we found a home we were interested in that all we had to do was contact them homeowner with one of Anchor House Financial pre formated letter, with only their information on the letter. Everything seemed to be on the up and up until I drove by a propety that they had listed as a 3 bedroom and 2 bath house and there wasn't even a house there just grass! Not to mention they charged my account twice, which they did refund. I have since contacted them to let them know we wanted my money back and they told me I have to wait 90 days! We have contacted a lawyer and I am going to sue them to get my money back and possibly more! We don't have $199.00 to throw down the toilet for scam artists. We read all the negative feed back on the Revdex.com site. We just don't understand how these people at the least are still in business or let alone in jail! THIS IS FRAUD PERIOD AND THEY NEED TO BE STOPPED!! Times are hard enough without getting ripped off by scam artists! We could of put that money toward our current rent!!!Desired Settlement: We would like to get our money back that we gave them, the whole $199.00 of it.

I called anchor house financial and they were nice, they took my money out with out me saying it was okay, when I decided I didn't want to go threw them they said okay, we already took the money out though. They will not refund the money now.

Review: They lie to you like they can get you in a house but come to find out its all lies plus you have a hard time trying to get your money back..Desired Settlement: Please give me my money back or do what you claim you can do?!!

Review: I signed up to use their rent to own service listings to find a house rent to own, but the info on the listings is out dated. Some house are either no longer on the market our have been sold. The cost to use this service (which I paid) was 199.00, and I want my money back.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund. I have not been able to use a service that I have paid for up front!

Review: Approximately 3 months ago I paid Anchor House Financial $199 (in a desperate attempt to help a needy family) in return for access to homes that were said to be in preforeclosure status. We mailed out well over 50 letters to alleged foreclosed homes and we never got anything back. Whenever we would call customer service there was always an excuse as to why none of the homeowners had contacted us. Anytime we requested to contact corporate or speak with the supervisor that information was never available. This situation has been very draining for me and the family of 5 as they are now living in a hotel. It really broke mom's heart to tell her children that mommy wasn't going to get them a house. Due to my vulnerability and shortage of time, I overlooked a lot of things and trusted that this company would help me get their lives back on track. Boy was I wrong. Now I'm finding so many people who have also been duped by this company. I feel horrible for trusting that anchor House Financial could help her as well encouraging her to sign up.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of my $199 as well as some type of legit housing assistance for this family.
