Anchor House Financial Reviews (107)

I have received letters in the mail from this company informing me my home is in pre-foreclosure and they want to "help." First of all my home is NOT in pre-foreclosure and I am receiving this mail unsolicited. Having done some research online, it is entirely possible that Anchor House Financial has listed my home on their subscription-based website as distressed and approaching foreclosure. I can't know for sure, because they charge $199.00 to have a look at their "listings." Not only are they scamming legitimate homeowners, they are scamming real estate investors. I hope they get shut down and quit sending me mail.

Review: They said 1 hundred% refund and will not return any of your money without 5 denile letters.Desired Settlement: Return my 199 dollars.

Review: service issues. I sent out 20 letters and never got responds so I want my money back.Desired Settlement: I want my $199 dollars back

Review: I found a home on craigslist advertising 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom for 550 a month. I called the contact number and was immediately told that the house was gone. The representative proceeded to tell me that his company had many properties in Davenport and gave me several street names. He then said all I would have to do was set up an account to view the homes on their website AnchorHouse Financial. He asked for my first and last name and e-mail. He told me I would receive an e-mail with my account name and password. He then asked me for my credit card information explaining that the service was quote one-ninety-nine. He then told me his name, Joseph W., and explained to me, you will receive a refund after 90 days if we (Anchor House Financial) cannot find you a home or you are not satisfied with our service. He explained this after taking my credit card information, but did not proceed to tell me the Terms of Service. I went on their website and viewed some properties and was unsatisfied with what I found. The 199 dollars was taken from my account the following day. I called the company the following day and explained that I would not be needing their serviced for finding a home and would like a refund of my money. I was told I had to wait 90 days to receive the refund by following the directions on the Terms of Service link on the companys website. I read the directions to find that in order to receive a refund I would have to mail in 5 denial letters from homeowners. I spoke to a representative on the phone and explained that I was not interested in contacting any of the homeowners on their website, therefore I would not be able to obtain denial letters. I was told repeatedly that this was the policy and in order to receive a refund I would need 5 denial letters.Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded the 199 dollars the company charged me and for the employees to be held accountable for giving false information.

Review: I signed up to receive a listing of rentals in the SE Kansas area. I was told on the phone by several different people there were several different listings in area we were looking in. Based on the findings, I paid the $199 fee. Once I paid the fee, the fact they had any listings in the area I was looking in was a lie. When I called back, they kept telling me they were downloading the in the information. There were never any listings like they said. When I called back as well as my wife, they either hung up on both of us, or cussed me out. Because of the fact that we didn't have the extra money for them to take without any services rendered and how they treated us, both of us had our blood pressure raise to a dangerous level. We were had and now suffering from the cost and raise in blood pressure.Desired Settlement: We desperately need our money back. The company is a total ripoff. I'm trying to move my family back to Kansas as my wife has health problems already. Please help me get my money back. Only a check from them will do as I cancelled my card they have on file.

Review: I signed up for a house im aug 2015 I couldn't see nothing on website I called to get a refund they said write a letter I wrote letter and never heard anything so I called they said I cant get my money back until I get 5 denial letters from people everyone is telling me diff things they keep hanging up on me telling me I cant get money back find out how to get denial letters from houses when I signed up for it they said it will b so easy to get my money back if im not satisfy its sad this place is ripping people off and nobody is doing anything I just want my money back lock everyone up in this scamDesired Settlement: I just want my money back I am a single mother of 3 boys I dont have money to go to waste please help me

This by far has to be the WORST company I have ever dealt with. They feed you lies and make it sound all good when you first sign up. You pay a WHOOPING $199 to have access to certain "listings" they have of houses and they GUARENTEEDED that you'll be put in a house within 2 weeks, and you have to MAIL OUT LETTERS TO HOMEOWNERS to contact them. I MAILED OUT OVER 20 LETTERS and got NO RESPONSE FROM NO ONE not even Anchor house themselves. THEN YOU HAVE TO WAIT EXACTLY 3 MOTNHS FOR A REFUND! Refund Process: MAIL IN A CERTIFIED LETTER STATED YOU WANT A REFUND, and it could take up to 30 DAYS for you o receive it. smh THEY AARE A SCAM. I looked at the listings online 3 months from when I purchased and it still had the same house that where ALREADY OFF THE MARKET!! ALL I HAVE TO SAY IS DON'T DO IT!
