Revdex.com of WisconsinSeptember 2015RE: Aurora Health Care complaint ***Revdex.com,We have spoken with *** regarding this complaint and have verified the disputed $balance is correct and as such, it will remain. As stated in his complaint, *** and his wife both came to Aurora for preventative
visits; a benefit he says is offered by his insurance at no cost to himselfWe fully acknowledge that were errors made on the initial claims to ***'s insurance but multiple reviews of both he and his wife's visit have since been completed, the necessary corrections were made and new claims were sent but the balance remains.*** disagreed with our findings and also disputed some documented information regarding his wife's visitHe was given the option of getting a copy of both he and his wife's medical records to see exactly what information was documented but he declined saying he's spent enough time on this matterHe was also given the option of paying the balance off over time in interest-free installments but refused that option also.Having presented this reply to ***'s complaint we now respectfully ask the Revdex.com to close this complaintYet another review of the visits was just completed earlier today and it also confirmed the previous findings that the visits were coded and billed correctly*** still has the opportunity to request the records for the visits and dispute the recorded information if he feels necessary but there is no other action that would take on this matter

As I began looking into billing practices from aurora, what I originally had complained about (billing not matching what I expected insurance to pay) was correct from my accountThe reason the amount I expected to pay did not match was because aurora had associated an account that I’m not responsible for paying on with my accountPlease see attached The bill that was sent to collections was NOT my bill I have a life outside of trying to figure out aurora billing My account has NOT been charged correctly I set up payment plans to avoid their incorrect billing practices from further effecting my near perfect credit scoreVery disappointed in their responseI would like a member of aurora leadership to contact me.

As Aurora continued to say the same thing over and over again apparently expecting different results with no new information, I said we are done The Aurora statement shows charges of and which has been paid by insurance and copay A balance of shows with no corresponding charge so it appears to be fabricated to enhance their revenue The Anthem EOB shows the 299, 30, and with the EOB form completed on 7/14/2014, about a year ago.Aurora first billed this extra amount to us on 4/28/ If there was a problem why was I not properly billed in August of last year or why did they not contact the insurance company to resolve what they see as an error? Since the complaint is about billing and not insurance, I contacted Revdex.com Is there some other agency to contact that oversees Wisconsin heath care providers?Aurora has spent more than the balance and wasted my time on a year old charge

This complaint has been received and an acknowledgement letter and release consent has been sent to DanielHis mother Holly filed the complaint but he is a legal adult so our contact will be to him directly

Revdex.com of Wisconsin March RE: Aurora Health Care complaint *** Revdex.com, We are happy to inform you that we believe this matter has been
successfully addressedAs stated in the original complaint, Donald came to Aurora in June of for a visit he expected to billed as workman's compHis medical insurance was also provided at that time with the understanding it would not be billed unless the claim was denied by workman's compUltimately Donald was billed $but Donald and his wife Jennifer say they are only responsible for $Initially, there was no record of Donald's medical insurance and his coverage will only accept a claim for up to days after a visitHis coverage was eventually billed in January for the visit and due to it being after the day threshold it was deniedDonald was then billed $345; the entire cost of the visit but that has since been correctedAdditional review of this account confirmed his medical coverage was provided in The error of not billing Donald's coverage until January of this year was our error and as such, we have written off the entire $balanceAn itemized bill has been mailed indicating the write off and remaining $due and we also attempted to contact Jennifer by phone but were unable to reach herIt is our hope that this communication, the itemized bill and a sincere apology to Donald and Jennifer will serve as proof of a successful resolution

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. Aurora called me yesterday, I expressed the reason I did not fill out the release was because the incorrect information it containedThey said the information would be corrected and they would send it out right awayI believe his name was JamalA direct phone conversation constitutes contact in my opinion so their response is unfounded (in my opinion)

RE: Aurora
Health Care complaint ***
Revdex.com
personnel,
We see
that *** has rejected our initial reply to her complaint but based on her
response it appears she may still have some confusion regarding how her visit
was billed.*** is
correct that there is no signage present at the clinics regarding walk in
patients being charged more because walk in patients aren't charged more; the
cost for a walk in patient is the same as a patient with a scheduled
appointmentAs previously explained, the cost of a visit is determined by the
level of service provided and that has no bearing on if a visit was scheduled
or notAn internal review of the visit confirmed it was billed at the appropriate
level and though *** says a previous similar visit resulted in a lower
balance, we have no record of it to make a comparison. At this
time, ***'s account is in good standing and she also has no other charges
pendingShe has the option of setting up a payment plan and paying the balance
off over time, interest freeAurora will bill a patient for a period of four
to six months before the possibility of being sent to collectionsThus far
only one statement has been sent so *** has time on her side in deciding how
to meet this responsibility

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. I just wanted to add that I clearly told her on the phone that I wasn't sure how I can get the recording to herBecause it was on my phoneI use an app that records all my incoming and outgoing phone callsShe told me that if I figure it out to what word the record it cost to her voicemailI went to the app and that option was impossible to do on the app that I useI just wanted to clear that up because in her response she made it seem like I was lying about the recorded phone call or implying that I never bothered to forward it to herThat wasn't the case at all so I wanted that to be clearI still don't think I have a have a genuine interest in addressing the customers complaintsThey just tell you what you want to hear and asked you if you are satisfied with that so that they can close the case as resolve on their endThe next time I have an issue I will address in person

Revdex.com of WisconsinSeptember 2015RE: Aurora Health Care complaint ***Revdex.com,Since receiving this complaint from *** we have completed a review of his visit and reach out to him with our findings. Our review confirmed the visit was coded and billed to his insurance correctly and the $billed to
him was also correctThat amount was assessed by ***'s insurance as his deductible owed and he was informed of thisUnfortunately, *** was not receptive to this information however and insisted the bill was still incorrect and he will never return to any Aurora facility again.Having explained the information above, as a one-time courtesy to *** since he was unaware the facility he went to bills each visit as a hospital visit, an adjustment was made on his account and *** will eventually receive a bill for the $amount he expected to payIt must be repeated that there was no error in the initial billing and this courtesy will only be extended to *** on this one occasionIt is our hope that he will accept this gesture as a show of goodwill so this matter can be brought to an end. Please accept this response as our respectful request to close this complaint

RE: Aurora Health Care complaint ***
Revdex.com,
As she stated in her complaint, *** had a bone density scan in December 2014. She expected the scan to be billed as a preventative service to her insurance which they
would cover at no expense to her but, based on the findings of the scan and a previous diagnosis made two years prior to ***'s visit to Aurora, the scan was billed a diagnostic procedure which left her with a balance to pay
***'s insurance was contacted and they confirmed the claim was processed correctly according to her benefitsWe also attempted to explain to her that a visit can't be coded in a manner just to secure insurance payment; it must be coded to accurately reflect the services and diagnosis for the visit itself* insists however that the scan was part of her preventative visit and should be coded as such; she also insists she never received any feedback from the physician's office regarding the outcome of the scan
***'s chart is noted that she called the physician's office on December 29th to get results of the scan and a nurse called back that same day and relayed that informationIf she disputes that contact she is welcome to contact the physician's office again and they will provide the testing outcome verbally or send results to her home address
Please accept this response to her complaint and our attempt at resolving this matterAt This time we respectfully ask for this complaint to be closed

This complaint was received in our officeThe acknowledgement form and release consent will be mailed to Tyler

We have received the complaint from Angela *** and have sent her an authorization to release information to the Revdex.com. As soon as I receive the signed release I will respondBarb *** *** *** ***Aurora Health Care***###-###-####

Aurora Health Care has provided an explanation of the issue
presented, but it does not resolve the problem associated with the
submissionThe payment made was not correctly applied to the account
based upon the charges associated with the bills received, which
resulted in collection activityAurora has not made the effort to close
the collection effort and clear the record applied to all credit
reporting agencies.Based upon discussions with Aurora Health Care,
there is an understanding of issues associated with the account but still struggle to understand why it has taken 3-years and engaging the Revdex.com for these issues to be brought to lightPayments should be applied to amounts provided on submitted billing at the time of the charges and not applied to charges that have not been communicated to the customerAny other outstanding charges, should be provided to the customer to allow for investigation of where payments were showing as missed to allow for validation or identification of payment

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]I do not understand the response that I was provided by Aurora that they received the complaint and something was mailed to me. This does not address what they are going to do or if they will be reprocessing the claim through my insurance. Please advise
