Even though the heat and pesticide treatment was expensive, it saved me from having to throw out my furnitureI only ever saw two bed bugs and Mr*** checked everything very thoroughly without finding evidence of an infestationI've been bite free for two months nowThe combined heat and pesticide treatment does workThe best thing about it is the peace of mind it has brought me and the long warranty periodThey really do know what they are dealing with

On April 12th after receiving the complaint through the Revdex.com, Arizona Heat Pest Services immediately sent out a technician (***) to re-inspect the home, provide the refund check in person, and treat the home again (despite the fact that we have refunded the $from the original treatment.)
Refund check was issued on the same dayUpon re-inspection of the customers home, no bed bugs were foundRefund check was provided due to the customer dissatisfaction with our serviceRetreatment was scheduled for the next day due to the fact that all people and pets must be out of the home at the time of treatment and for hours afterward to allow pesticides to dryAdditional bed bug treatment was provided by Arizona Heat Pest Services on 4/13/even though no live bed bugs or evidence of live bed bugs was found at the timeWe have done everything in our power to remedy discontent with our service. I have reviewed the message from consumer regarding complaint ID [redacted] after we already have responded to this complaint. The message from the consumer to the Revdex.com on (4/3/14) is misleading and conflated. I am unsure why this complaint was re-opened after the Revdex.com had determined that this complaint was beyond the purview of the Revdex.com.

I believe that this consumer’s complaint should be permanently dismissed due to lack of merit. In addition we are offering no compensation to the consumer due to the fact that no services were rendered, and no money has exchanged hands. Please refer to our initial response to the Revdex.com in order to describe the timeline and circumstances of this situation.

The Following is a response to the latest message sent (4/3/14) by the consumer to the Revdex.com regarding the complaint [redacted].

The consumer is making erroneous claims regarding Arizona Heat. It is not standard practice of Arizona Heat to double book and miss scheduled appointments. Arizona Heat treats all customers equally, fairly, and with respect, whether they are scheduled for a free inspection or a bed bug treatment. This issue has been caused by a one-time glitch with our electronic scheduling system, this is not an issue that occurs on any kind of regular basis. If this were a standard practice of Arizona Heat, then we would have additional complaints from consumers.

In the latest message from the consumer to the Revdex.com on 4/3/14, the consumer attests that AZ Heat’s representative stated “I thought it was just a free inspection”. Regarding the use of the word “JUST” in the sentence “I thought it was JUST a free inspection”: It is company policy to always inspect prior to giving a price over the phone because we cannot accurately and thoroughly assess the situation. The only service that was offered at the scheduled time in question was a free inspection. Her interpretation of the use of the word ‘just’ is reaching. Nothing is implied about the services we offer or the way that we treat our customers.

This consumer may have misunderstood our procedures when it comes to free inspections versus bed bug treatment. She was scheduled for a free inspection, not a treatment for bed bugs. We cannot schedule a treatment for bed bugs without first confirming that there are bed bugs present by way of an inspection, observing the condition of the home, discussing the options for treatment if bed bugs are found, and having the home prepared for treatment by the consumer prior to treatment. No such inspection has occurred. The consumer asked at the time of her scheduling a free inspection, “If it is bed bugs, can treatment be performed immediately?” Our standard response to this question is: “it may be possible for us to treat after the inspection, the technician will have the supplies needed to complete a chemical treatment for bed bugs. If a chemical treatment is performed, then the unit must be vacated for six hours to allow the pesticide to dry.” After hearing this, the consumer appears to have made a unilateral decision that she would purchase bed bug treatment from AZ Heat and that treatment would be performed immediately following the free inspection. She did not inform Arizona Heat of this unilateral decision, therefore any preparations she had made for boarding her animals or making plans to be out of the home were her decisions alone. Immediate treatment is not always possible due to the fact that bed bugs may not be present and that the home may not be adequately prepared for treatment.

The consumer further complains of our distinction between free inspections versus bed bug treatments. The reason that this distinction must be made is due to the fact that if there are no bed bugs found upon inspection, then treatment is not necessary. The distinction must be made in order to clarify this situation so that all parties understand that the appointment made by this consumer was an appointment for a free inspection in order to determine if bed bug activity is present. At the time of the consumer’s call to schedule the inspection for bed bugs, she was unsure if she was dealing with bed bugs or not. At this point it is still not clear whether this consumer is dealing with a bed bug infestation. Further it is important to distinguish between a free inspection and a bed bug treatment in order to clarify that Arizona Heat does not charge to inspect for bed bugs. There is no charge for the inspection if the customer does not decide to use our services. There is no charge for the inspection if no bed bugs are found.  We can provide references of between 20-40 clients per week for the past 12 months who we have provided free inspections for, who subsequently may or may not have purchased services from us. This demonstrates that the legitimacy of our offer for a free inspection is not in question.

Arizona Heat will continue to treat all of our customers fairly, and will continue to meet all of our appointments at the time that is scheduled.

Owner

Last week we had a condo treated for a severe infestation of bed bugs. Uriel and his partner did an amazing job of explaining step by step what would occur. My brother, who has special needs, lives in the condo and they worked with him and did not try to take advantage of him. I was really impressed with the professionalism that Uriel had during each interaction I had with him. He provided a list of everything that needed to be done prior and made sure my brother understood them all. Although the price was higher than we had hoped to pay, Arizona Heat Pest Services is definitely worth it. Their warranty is worth every penny spent. Hopefully we will not have a bed bug problem again but if we do, we will be using this company.

Although I cannot yet comment on how successful the bed bug treatment in my home was because the service representative just left my home less than an hour ago, I can speak to the prompt response and the professionalism demonstrated. I asked for and got a service representative at my home within hours. The service representative worked until almost 10 p.m., after starting his work day at 6 a.m. because I was so desperate for immediate help. At this point, I am totally satisfied and believe that my problem has been solved. If it isn't, I'm certain that I will get an equally prompt response in the future. I believe I paid a fair price for the work that was done and have a one year warranty should future problems arise.

Paul was great and I appreciate AZ Heat Pest Services for their experience and help.

FANTASTIC SERVICE!!!!! EVERYONE IS VERY PROFESSIONAL, KIND AND UNDERSTANDING OF SUCH A HORRIBLE ORDEAL. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY!! THANK YOU AZ HEAT!

One treatment did the trick. No more bed bugs! These guys are honest and affordable.

Arizona Heat Pest Service was helpful, did a good job. Employees were courteous. It has been one month, and no pests found. Would recommend them in view of this outcome and their guarentee of help if any trouble occurs.

Arizona Heat more than met my expectations. Austin P[redacted], our technician was awesome. Answered all my questions with direct and informed answers. He did not make be feel uncomfortable with this bug situation at all. I was very pleased and have already recommended Arizona Heat to a friend of mine.

The Technician was on time, very helpful and very honest about the services we needed. He didn't try to have us pay for something we didn't need. It's been over thirty days now and we haven't seen any sign of live bugs.

We were extremely pleased with Arizona Heat Pest Services. They came right out, did a thorough examination of house, and explained we did not have bed bugs. They could easily have said there were, charged an arm and a leg, and we would have never known the difference. But Uriel took the time to explain how he knew that the problem wasn't bed bugs. This was done at our elderly mother's home and he even made her feel more comfortable and secure by the time he left. He was extremely professional, knowledgeable, efficient, and pleasant. We would recommend your company to anyone!

First I would like to commend Chris for his dedication and as important his positive reassurance that this nightmare problem would be rectified as promised. Chris returned my calls promptly and acted timely. This kind of issue can be devastating and Chris knew exactly how to put our minds at ease. He has my complete confidence.

I am satisfied with American Heat Pest Services. Heat treatment resolved my bed bugs problems. Thank you so very much.
