Order *** arrived on 2/**, it was initially placed on 2/* through Peter via live chat, he agreed to honor a lower price of the item A Rado mens watch was ordered, however, the Rado box arrived to me empty and I believe the same Peter was the one I chatted with again on 2/** He was told the box arrived empty and stated a *** claim would be filed, however, this is not *** fault The box did not appear to be tampered with in any way, my guess is whomever Ashford.com buys from sent them an empty box by mistakeI was told they buy in bulk and are able to offer items at such low prices because of this I've bought from this company many times before and from past experience, I know they normally do not check or inspect items before they leave as I have had two watches arrive to me defective or not working at allHowever, both times the matter was resolved, a replacement was sent to me right awayI do not know what to say about this order but again, my guess is the company A

Ashford is an amazing resource for watch collectorsYou can get exceptional deals on many high-end watches such as Breguet, Glashutte, Blancpain, Zenith, and Girard PerregauxEvery watch that I have ordered was new in box with papersThese were higher end pieces in gold and/or platinum with perpetual calendars, annual calendars, chronographs and tourbillon complicationsI have paid both with credit card and bank wire as the cost of these watches often well exceeded 30K and each was shipped promptlyDo not hesitate to order from themIt is important to note that many of the watches are new old stock--they never sold in traditional retail channels or never left the main watch brand distributorFor a mechanical watch, this generally isn't a problem, but it does mean you may need to pay for a service a bit earlier than usualIf you are buying a quartz or battery operated watch, you need to factor that the it may die quickly because the battery may be oldMost of the negative reviews seem to center around this issueThis is not a scam or deliberate sabotage--it only means the watch needs a new batteryA local watch marker can fix this simply for a few dollars

Did you get my mail already? I got a Zenith from Ashley for about $and it worked well for three weeks, then the outer circle fell off of the watch It's in blue and goes from Zero to minutes I sent the watch to Ashford.com and they refused to repair it because it didn't break the watch...it does still work If they couldn't repair it, they could have sent it to Zenith at Switzerland and they would replace it They didn't do this at all I'm going to send a law suit by Harris County, the county of Houston to get then here to Houston to complain in a legal session He'll loose and I'll get Three Hundred Percent for not helping me It's his money.....not mine

Again, no watchI went down to my local Post Office and was told that the sender, Ashford, had to make a claimI called Ashford and spoke to a very helpful man who told me he was referring me to the person who deals with ***Meanwhile, *** told me the they would have to make a thorough investigation before anything could be doneThis, I was told, could take at least to weeksI then received a call from a young lady at Ashford who told me she was looking into the matter with *** and to give her or DAYS to rectify thingsSure enough, days later, she informed me that Ashford was sending me a duplicate watchThe Next day, I received my new JeanRichard in perfect conditionI cannot say enough wonderful things about how I was treated by Ashford.com

I have purchased two watches from Ashford, an automatic Hamilton and an automatic EDOXBoth watches arrived quickly, in pristine condition with papers and to date have functioned as describedBatteries are not an issue as these are mechanical watches but perhaps all the battery complaints are due to the following; If the watch is sealed as new many distributors are reluctant to open the watch (unless it is a used item) and therefore you may get a watch with a poor or non-working batteryHence if the watch is quartz and inoperable you go to a reputable jewellery store, save yourself a lot of hassle, pay about $and get the battery tested and replacedThere are usually only reasons a quartz watch does not work or operates intermittently - a dead or low batteryCheck the battery before declaring the watch a dud or going to the hassle of returning the watch for a refund or dead batteryA quartz watch may fail to mishandling or purely because it is a dud in which case you need to deal with Ashford directlyI have not had to deal with their customer service for warranty or repair so I cannot comment on this portion of their service

I ordered a watch, and the day I opened it to wear, it did not work The customer service associate stated that it is the battery I'm not sure how a battery in such a high quality watch dies between the time it's shipped to the time it's received, but my theory is they're knowingly selling defective watches as a battery last two years or more From the reviews I've read this is common practice with Ashford They are to send a return number so I can return the item for a refund but they also conveniently ask that tags be attached Why would tags be attached if one is putting on the item to wear?

Following placing my order and payment being authorised by my bank, I was told a week later that my order was placed on hold and wouldnt be delivered unless I provided a full copy of my ID (Govt.Issue) & BOTH SIDES of the oayment card used in the purchase When I queries this - I was told it was standard verification procedure to prevent fraud However it is NOT cited in the Terms & Conditions of purchase at all, I have NEVER been asked to provide such sensitive personal data before particularly for an item costing less than $and frankly this exposes me to fraud as Ashford would have my payment details AND my ID I have not recieved a satisfactory explanation as to why this is necessary from Ashford This has caused me a great deal of inconvenience as it was an item purchased as a gift for my sister (who lives in Canada) & will now cost me a great deal more to buy and ship from elsewhere
Please advise if this is standard purchasing procedure and how I can orote

First, I am very sorry that you received the watch in unsatisfactory condition...this is not what we strive for, and are very displeased that your watch was anything less than
perfect!
Second, I'm also very sorry for how the situation was handled...I hope to rectify it here. Please understand that the reason you were asked to have the item repaired locally, was because we were out of stock for the replacement
I'm more than happy to have you return this item, however; since you are now in Brazil, I cannot provide you with a prepaid shipping label...do you happen to have somewhere in the US you can ship the watch to...then I can provide a prepaid shipping label from that US location back to our facilities
Would you like for us to repair this watch...or just process a return for refund? If a refund, and due to the time that has elapsed, we will only be able to refund you back via Bank Wire...unless you have a *** account?
