Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:my decision to file a class action suit has to do with the fact that Unique Insurance Company consistently denies complaintsMy Revdex.com complaint has to do with the way that this company chooses to handle their businessThem attempting to place the blame on me for them as a company being a terrible company with terrible business practices is not my fault it's theirsAnd the Revdex.com and the public should know about ithence the purpose of the Revdex.com complaint and the pending class action suitAs to my actual claim- that is how my car was damaged and it was clearly seen what happened to my carMy complaint had more to do with the fact that I had to contact this company numerous times and it was only AFTER I did a Revdex.com complaint, posted on facebook, posted on yelp and gave a call to the company MARKETING department did I receive a call back which was incidentally a denial of my claimOn the same day that I made all of these complaintsAs to my tie rod and the other subsequent damageMy car was literally undriveable after my car was towed by the tow companyThe tie rod was bent due to the method of towing used by this tow truck companyThere was a scrape on my bumper that wasn't there before my car was towed on the same side as the damaged tie rod and this company who insured the tow company still attempted to avoid paying for their company's mistake.I have no problem at all informing them that a class action suit is coming because a company that consistently denies claims for no reason yet charges premiums and refuses to pay out for damages should not exist and the greater public should know about it [redacted]

Again, this paperwork was not received by Unique InsurancePer the adjuster's notes..."We never received the requested theft paperwork that was requested to send into our office; notarized affidavit of vehicle theft, police report, verification of employment, bill of sale, finance company information or copy of title if not making payments, proof of prior insurance, any keys that may be available and an appointment to do a recorded statementAlso the vehicle was given to a family member to drive which may result in a denial due to the vehicle was not taken with forced entry and there was no carjackingWe also mailed out status letters to the insured advising what was needed to proceedI have spoke with the insured and the claim will not be reopened she gave the car to her family member to drive to another state."At this time, Unique is standing by the decision to not re-open this claim.Thank you, [redacted]

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to this claim.After speaking with the adjuster, the insured is not responding to our calls and often times their phone is busy. The adjuster has sent a final Accident Report to complete and return to us as well as a reservation of rights letter. This claim... will be deniable in 14 days due to non-cooperation, per our policy. Thank you for the opportunity to respond to this complaint.As I mentioned to the complainant's [redacted] + review of our company...Our adjuster has tried reaching you and left a voicemail message just this morningPlease be sure to contact her as soon as possibleI have also asked her to keep you top of mindAccording to Illinois Department of Insurance guidelines, we have days to try and resolve your claimI believe we are well within that standardWe are not ignoring your calls and hoping you just go away, our adjusters are very busy and have intense workloadsTry as they might, sometimes a call is not returned in a timely mannerThe supervisors also receive numerous calls on a daily basis and also have their own claims to work on while managing a teamUnique is working to ensure all claims are handled and resolved within the guidelines set by the IL DOI; your patience is appreciatedAt this time, our adjuster has been in touch with the complainant (12/31) and notified of her of the current process toward resolving this claimShe explained thoroughly how we received her paperwork, we are attempting to contact the insured and receive a police reportShe advised the complainant about the need for a vehicle inspection and set it up in our systemsWe have also attempted to notify our insured of the process and we are not able to get in contact with the insuredThis may delay the claim as well as we have a duty to work with our insured on their claimI know with the holidays, it may seem we are not getting to her claim but we are definitely working to resolution.Thank you,Nick [redacted]

Im just getting the run around again . I called and left a message to call me but no such luck obviously. Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: How did I have coverageat the time if I received a cancellation notice with no reinstatement letter afterwards, correcting the problem before it was noticed by me? Had I not brought this issue to attention then I would still be uninsured! No one is owning up to responsibility and doing the right thing! I paid for a month that my coverage got canceled! How can it get more absurd than that! Really! Thank you for the opportunity to respond to this complaint.Per the claim notes, I see that our claims team was in touch with the complainant throughout the processAt one point, when payment was issued for the repairs, the complainant decided to have repairs done elsewhereWe then asked for the check to be returnedIt looks like this is what took considerable time and slowed down the processWe then issued another check to the shop of his choiceIn the end, a new check was issued and the claim is now closed on our books.Thank you again, [redacted]

Per the [redacted] guidelines, Unique has [redacted] days to resolve the claim and we are within this guideline. I see that we... have been in contact with the complainant 5/26, 6/6, 6/8(could not leave a voicemail message), 06/08 (later in the day), and 06/09. There have been times when the complainant has changed his mind about repair shops and we have also had to wait for him to respond to us at various times. But it all looks like everything is moving in the right direction and we have been in contact with him as appropriate.We hope to have this claim at full resolution in a timely manner.Thank you, [redacted]

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to this complaint.One of our adjusters spoke with the complainant on 07/01/and explained that we needed accident reports from both parties to advance this claimThis complainant only has liability and uninsured motorist physical damage; she says the claimant is uninsuredAt this time, we have not received an accident report from either partyWe also need a police report, which we will order if there is not one available from either partyWe also need to file an IDOT certification form to ensure the claimant does not have insuranceBased on the report received from IDOT, we can move forward to complete the UMPD claim for the complainantThis process does take longer since we do have to wait for information from the stateIf the complainant has any additional info for Unique, she is more than welcome to send it to (her claim number)@uniqueinsuranceco.com or to myself at n [redacted] @producersnational.comEither way, the info will reach the claim file and an adjuster working on her claim.Thank you, [redacted]
