I will need some more supporting documentation to review this matter. First, I will review all paperwork on file to determine whether or not there is a warranty. But I need to know the following information - what type of problems existed at the end of March? Is there supporting documentation for...

that (i.e. reciepts, diagnostics, etc.)? How do you know the transmission is going? Is there some type of diagnostic for this? What type of routine maintenance has been performed on the vehicle during the time for which you have been an owner? It has been over four months since you have purchased the vehicle, and all vehicles require routine maintenance. It will be very important to provide this documentation to me for any type of consideration.
Also, though a [redacted] was traded in for an allowance of $2700, there was a lien to payoff in the amount of $536.77, your taxes and tags (which were remitted to DMV) in the amount of $387.42, and other items that would not be reimbursable.
At any rate, please provide the documentation I have requested, and I will consider this complaint further. Thank you.

The reason I didn't follow up was because the last conversation I had was with the General Manager, who told me that there was nothing they could do. I still have the same number. Why didn't they follow up with me? They could have easily called me as well but every time I would call them, I had to constantly leave messages because someone was always busy. I still have all the text messages and all the times I called them and never got a return phone call from anyone. But my father seemed to finally get in touch with someone. I'm the one that purchased the car and couldn't get anyone to call me back. That is bad business. It's like they knew the car was some crap and refused to talk to me about it so  they just gave me the run around and waited until the warranty was up. So like I said, the General Manager told me there was nothing they could do. It's so easy to say that it's unfortunate that the car needed repairs but as a dealership, they could have done a better job at thoroughly checking out the cars so that this could have been avoided. It didn't happen to them so it's easy to say how unfortunate it is. They are not the ones taking the bus everyday and getting home after 2 hours. But that's okay. I learned my lesson and I won't be purchasing anymore vehicles from them.

Called business spoke to the owner [redacted] he stated that the car was purchased in [redacted] and sold AS-IS. [redacted] stated that when a vehicle is purchase anything noted will be put on a promissory to fix. Anything not written on the promissory will be the consumer responsibility. [redacted]...

[redacted] stated that they did have the car for two weeks but during that time frame a loaner car was given. [redacted] stated that it took longer than expected for the repair because an amplifier was ordered but came in wrong, so they had to reorder the amplifier. Once the amplifier came in they replaced the amplifier along with the water line that was broke. It was stated that the water line fried the amplifier to the radio causing the radio not to work.

They don't post prices of vehicles for a reason, they give different quotes on the same vehicle. My wife called about a vehicle and they gave her the run around (they are not keen on selling a car outright, can't make more on interest), before finally giving a price. I called THAT DAY and was given an entirely different price. I would be weary of any dealership not upfront and open about their cars. It seems shady and from what I gather from the reviews and nonchalant attitude concerning the complaints, one reply stated on 1% of the vehicles have issues, well according to the Revdex.com, there were 11 recorded reviews, 6 of the bad, that is closer to 55?, so polling wise, not great. I would venture to say, they only are in business because there are people with such obliterated credit, they don't have a choice.
Professionally, I would recommend just going to an affiliated dealership and save yourself some stress. These guys might not be sketchy crooks, but they have all the indicators.

December 7, 2015To Whom It May Concern:I am writing in regards to case number [redacted] regarding [redacted]. [redacted].  Ms. [redacted] purchased a [redacted] from Autos Direct on August 5, 2015.  Unfortunately, we were unable to obtain financing on this vehicle for...

her.  Numerous attempts were made to contact Ms. [redacted] to let her know that the vehicle needed to be returned to Autos Direct.  However, calls to the numbers she provided us were never returned.  I also tried to contact her at work.  However, she was not there.Ms. [redacted] should have been aware of the problem as she never received any information as to making payments on the vehicle. Also, she was driving on altered 30 day tags as you can see from the attachment.  I am also including an attachment showing the right of repossession that Ms. [redacted] signed when she signed the paperwork for the [redacted]I understand Ms. [redacted]’s frustrations.  However, at the time of purchase the [redacted] had 64,866 miles.  When it was back in our possession, the mileage was 69,215.  This difference of 4,349 miles at 18.5 cents per mile, the Virginia allowable charge, repossession fee of $350 and $300 restocking fee to clean and prepare the vehicle for sale equals $1,754.57.  Therefore, Ms. [redacted] has an outstanding balance owed to Autos Direct of $254.57.  These are unfortunate and unforeseen circumstances for us as well.  We are in the business to provide reliable transportation and help our customers.  However, this was not possible in this situation.Sincerely,[redacted]     AUTOS DIRECT, INC.

Why should I have to provide them with documents to show what I have put into this car.  When from day one from a person who does not know much about cars at that time of purchase the car was jerky and that his service man told me that was normal when now I know talking to 3 mechanics saying that was the first sign of trouble in the transmission.
Tires:$328
axel seal, drain & fill filters, oil change $524
oil changes since time I bought it $600
that all all they are getting from me
I want my money back or I am looking into legal side because I gave them a perfect car and they ripped me off!!

Do NOT purchase anything from these crooks! Vehicle purchased 3 weeks ago, for $11,000, only to find out that it needs $9,000 in repairs to even be safe! Management is giving me the run around and not returning my phone calls.

[redacted] did have possession of the first vehicle (a [redacted]) for a little over three weeks. Financing fell through, not because of our negligence in getting information to the bank, but it was due in not being able to get the information from her. Once a vehicle is delivered, it is our...

ultimate goal to get the deal funded. We do not put $12,000 vehicles out on the road with $500 down and then "forget" to send something to the bank. That is our asset and our collateral until we are paid by them.  If I am not mistaken, her paystubs that were provided were out of date, and she gave [redacted] a really hard time about him requesting current ones.
Anyway, when she did return the [redacted], she was making such a scene, and the owner was on the premises and said to give her all of her down payment back so she would just leave.  In about three weeks time, she returned for another vehicle. I'm not sure the specifics of this, but I know she had the vehicle for 8 days, and returned it, storming into the dealership one day stating that the transmission went out.  The sales manager inspected the vehicle upon return and found it to be filthy, and she had accrued over one thousand miles on the vehicle during the very short time that she had it.  Unfortunately, the reconditioning of vehicles is not a free service and certainly comes at some cost. Likewise,  you can not expect to come to any dealership, pick out a car, drive it over 1,000 miles, and come back, hand over the keys and say I want to pick another one or give me my money back.  At the end of the day, vehicles are machines that need cared for.  The customer must assume some type of ownership and care for the vehicle.  This time, no refund.  Once a problem was detected, it should have been addressed right there, on the spot.  It should have been put in writing.  I have a whole team of sales people, not only [redacted]. And if ever someone is leaving early, someone else can always step in and take over.  Good day.

We talked to a salesman about a vehicle, then agreed on a price, even shook hands on price, when signing papers got to last page and realized they changed agreement, turned into a 72 month loan, from 60, then price was 3000 dollars higher then agreed on, asked why, his response was extra charges for paying bank to get loan, will never buy there again, do not trust them,

Regards,
[redacted] I attempted to reach the owner at his other location the following week and did not receive a call back.  When I picked up my plates I made them bring them out to me because I wouldn't pull all the way into their property, they told me the previous manager was a jerk and was gone and no one would try to block me in or do anything to me, I arranged it so I would not have to be in their establishment out of fear.  I discussed in depth and was assured a call back.  The salesman who sold me the car was present with the new manager at the time.  Obviously the customer is not at fault and should not be penalized if the salesman remains employed there yet the manager who caused all this was fire.  'Bribe' was the specific word used by their representative on the call.

Review: My parents and I drove an hour and a half in heavy traffic to purchase a [redacted] XL-V6 that was advertised on Car Gurus. We had put a deposit down on this car and were told the car was in “mint condition” and had been well maintained. We were told that if we saw something we did not like-our deposit would be refunded.

Upon arrival we saw marks all over the car all the way around. The salesman, Nas, tried to act as if this wasn’t a big deal but you would have had to have been blind not see them. I have photos to prove this. When I showed him these marks, he said he would speak to his boss to see if they could fix these.

I was completely unimpressed with my entire experience there. I thought the salesman spoke to me as if I knew nothing. He was unapologetic for the time we had spent driving down to see this car. The car was clearly NOT in the condition it was advertised in and if the pictures on the internet had shown all of these marks, we wouldn’t have wasted our Saturday to come see this car.

To top it all off, when asked for our deposit back, we were told the bookkeeper had gone home for the day. Now, he knew we were coming on Saturday. One would think he would have mentioned that if we weren’t happy with the car our money could not be refunded until the next business day. We have yet to receive our deposit back.

I would never recommend buying a vehicle from Autos Direct of Fredericksburg. I found their business to be extremely unprofessional and they did not honor their word.Desired Settlement: I would like our deposit back and this complaint noted to where other consumers are aware of how this organization runs their business.

At this time, I have not been contacted by Autos Direct, Inc regarding complaint ID [redacted]. However, they are very aware of my feelings about their business and they did return our $1,000.00 security deposit.

Review: I purchased a 2012 [redacted] in October 2015. From the very start of the deal, I was lied to and taken advantage of because, I think, I am a 78 year old man. To begin with, my credit and income would not, according to Eric R[redacted], Manager, make me eligible to buy the car by myself. As a result, I was told that I had to get a co-signer. Before bringing in the co-signer, I was asked if I had the co-signers social security, and this way, if the co-signer wasn't creidt worthy then he would not have to come in. So, the salesman ran the co-signer's credit without him ([redacted]) being present. The salesman then has me leave to pick the co-signer up. When the co-signer got there, he was only required to provide pay stubs which he later did, and until later, had no clue that the dealership had ran his credit report without his permission. Furthermore, the co-signer didn't even have a valid driver's license, and now I cannot even get the car registered until the co-signer gets a valid Virginia driver's license.

On Friday, June 17, The co-signer and I went to CarMax, a large car dealer to trade in the car, and to get the co-signer off of the loan. CarMax did an appraisal and to my surprise, said that there was frame damage. While I did agree to "As-is," I did not know about the car having a damaged frame. Before we purchased the vehicle, we asked if there were any issues with the car that we are not being told about. The answer was NO. If I had know there was frame damage, I would not have purchased the car. I was told that there was a leak in the condensation hose for the AC, but nothing more than that was wrong with the car. On Friday, June 17, I called Direct Auto and spoke to a Chris Flemming about 1) the frame damage I was never informed of., and 2) and the tags not being able to get renewed because the co-signer did not have a valid Virginia license, Mr. Flemming told me that I was wrong and abruptly hung up on me.Desired Settlement: The desired outcome is to 1) give me a lower interest rate, and 2) remove the co-signer from all the paperwork. The mamager, Eirc R[redacted] should be reprimanded for misrepresentation of the car's issues, obtaining a credit report without permission from the actual co-signer. Further, I would like the AC leak repaired.
