Avas Flowers Reviews (368)

The delivery was made on 5/12 and accepted by the recipient which was also verified by the customer too. Based on the Avas policies shown, a refund is not offered.Consumer must review company policies/guarantees: When is the deadline to place an order for it to arrive by a specified date? If something were to happen to your online order, would you be able to receive a full refund or replacement? Read the company policies for returns/exchanges and the fine print associated with your order to understand your rights as a customer of the company.Holiday Floral Delivery:We cannot guarantee delivery on a specific date for busy floral holidays like Mother's Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Valentine's Day. To ensure the highest likelihood of delivery on one of these busy floral holidays, please place your order at least four days in advance. Orders placed within 4 days of Valentines Day and Mother's Day DO NOT HAVE GUARANTEED DELIVERY DATES. Neither cancellations or refunds will be issued on orders placed during Valentines Day or Mothers Day holidays if the order was placed within 4 days of the holiday and the order was delivered within 4 days after the respective holiday. All of the information is shown within the Avas website and it is the responsibility to view these policies before the customer places their order via phone or the website. The holiday "flex delivery schedule" was also shown on the customers invoice which is emailed to them at the time the order is placed. That would have been time to review the invoice and voice concern, not after the delivery was made and accepted.

My name is Chris with Avas Flowers customer service management. I'm very sorry that the arrangement did not meet your expectations. Had we known about this sooner, we might have been able to resolve this for you. We did not receive the first email from you till 8 days after delivery. At this point,...

it is too late for us to question the designer on this. This is from our Website: SATISFACTION COMMITMENT AND RETURN POLICYIn the unlikely event you are unhappy with your product(s), please notify us within 24 hours of delivery and you may return the arrangement for a refund, request an exchange of products, or receive store credit

I am rejecting this response because my account still does not reflect the credit that was supposedly processed last week.  I have not experienced this in the past with my bank so clearly the vendor is STILL HOLDING MY MONEY.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:On the arrangements had 4 roses and your operator said it was to be 6 it also was to have about full amount of carnations as the pic shows that wasnt the case also the second arrangement was suppose to have a pink rose show me were it was I dont see it , oh and there suppose to be live flowers not dying flowers like shown in the pictures for$154.00 . So I will expect the full refund or I am prepare to show proof of everything I have stated to whoever needs to see it to prove my case.
Regards,

A refund of $13.95 has been applied to transaction id [redacted]The following email was sent to "[redacted]":A full refund in the amount of $13.95 has been issued. We have issued this refund in full. It may take your bank up to 10 days to process this refund. We apologize for any inconvenience

ORDER#, as shown below is a copy of the page that the customer must choose from to place their order:  Exquisite Roses and Teddy1)Select a product option:Standard - 3 Roses OnlyUS $54.99 US $34.99Deluxe - 1 Rose with BearUS $63.99US $39.99Premium - 3 Roses with BearUS $81.99US $49.99There are three options shown and one of the three must be chosen in order to place the order. It clearly states for $34.99, customer will receive 3 Roses ONLY @$34.99. If they choose the second option, the would receive 1-Rose with a Bear. It is the responsibility of the customer placing the order to understand what they are ordering for the price shown. The page shown does have a Teddy and exquisite roses shown but the customer could not place an order from that page. Once the order was placed, the customer received an invoice, showing what was ordered and what the cost was too. That was the time for the customer to review that invoice and to call customer service and mention her concern , not after the order was delivered.  In the customer rejection of this complaint, she stated: I accept the refund and will not be using nor recommending AVAS Flowers.refunded - Amount: $13.95 vs Transaction [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:
I never accepted any refunds, the lady just told me they are giving back 10.00.im being told I accepted there offers and this is untrue.I have a lawyer right now currently reviewing the information.I would like a recording of the conversation to prove I never accepted the offer.

I spoke to the [redacted] the day that I made the complaint to you and my credit card company.    Ava's flowers staff refused to speak with me.   They sent me insane e mails regarding this,  are not disputing my complaint with the credit card company.   Plus I just got off the phone with Amy at the [redacted] Steak house, I just got off the phone with Amy at the [redacted] and she said that their response is a blatant lie.  There is not Patricia working there,  nothing was delivered for [redacted] and the [redacted] from me.This company was so God awful on the phone when I was trying to track the arrangement.   They hung up on me at least 5 times, or would transfer me to a message that said I had to schedule my inquiry that no one could speak to me.    I received several illiterate e mails stating that they have no proof of delivery except that it was delivered but no information was available. Then I received an e mail stating that there were sorry that the arrangement never made it and they wanted me to fill out a internal complaint form,  and finally they sent me an e mail inviting me to become a member of the Ava's flower club.    They advertised as a local [redacted] florist.   In reality they are a call center in Mahwah.   My real anger is with myself that I did not read all of the bad yelp reviews.

My name is [redacted] with Avas Flowers customer service management and I’m very sorry there was such trouble with this order.  I do see that a free redelivery had been made but we were not informed about the 2nd order. Since you were not informed of the service fee of $13.95, I have had that...

refunded to you. I do see we had previously issued $20 of store credit but later removed it at your request. I can certainly re-issue that as well.

: My apologizes for the issues the customer experienced. There are times, beyond our control, that our affiliated florists do not have the flowers necessary to fulfill an order. We will try to have another florist make the order but the delivery time prevented form it being done. Our customer servicerepresentative spoke to the customer and offered options, which were refused. the order was cancelled and a refund was issued, as shown below:The order has been refunded - Amount: $58.94 vs Transaction [redacted] on 10/17/14. The customer is rejecting a response which was done in good faith, offering the refund. The issues mentioned, cannot be addressed for this complaint, since it involves customer service issues, which are addressed internally, with the customer service managers and not within a public forum.

The response from AVAS Flowers is totally untrue. They have a photo display on their website that advertises their Farm Raised Stem Roses in a Vase for $39.99/doz and $49.99/2 doz. I ordered $150 dollars worth of Red and White Roses in a Vase and only received 28 roses (14 Red & 14 White). Do the math. This is, at the very least, false advertisement and fraud. I'm filing a  suit with [redacted].

I had a horrible experience with these people and they took over $100 from me only to credit me 9.99 and didn't send anything close to what was confirmed on the phone and repeated back to me in regards to what I ordered.  My only choice was to take a store credit which I would never do because no one in their right mind would ever order from them again after the experience I had OR let them redeliver more crappy flowers in a box for my dear friend who has cancer and just had surgery for her to put together herself!  I didn't want that.  I clearly said I wanted a refund back...atleast half of my money.  The flowers sent were just whatever the place they get has in stock and I paid extra to get an extra large arrangement and was promised gourmet chocolates and when my friend sent the picture of what she got it was embarrasing.  It is deceiving and so are the reviews on their website.  I was at work and didn't realize that the ratings were those of the actual company putting on their website and once I had the experience and was out of $100 I started finding other reviews that customers said they were scammed and the company just delivered cheap flowers and nothing close to what they ordered.  It's a total scam and it's a shame because I was at work and had to waste alot of time on hold waiting and explaining over and over and them telling me oh sorry , I understand welllll, we can give you 9.99 or a store credit.  I repeatedly asked for my money back and the only option I was given was to get more cheap flowers in a box delivered again or nothing.  I knew I would be contacting you all in hopes that I would receive assistance and the scamming customers would get stopped.  This is horrible for them to keep getting away with this.  They also put you on hold forever and when they make you believe they will fix it, they just repeat the same thing and read off of a piece of paper that tells them what to say.  I CLEARLY ASKED THE FIRST TIME FOR THE SALES PERSON TO REPEAT THE ORDER and he repeated the exact same thing I said and promised it would be so pretty and just as described.  Then it wasn't delivered when they said and when I called back I went through it all over again with them apologizing and saying they will definately get it right this time and they just delivered whatever they wanted.  Half the size of what I paid and NOTHING CLOSE TO WHAT I ORDERED and THAT IS HOW THEY ARE SCAMMING PEOPLE AND MAKING MONEY.  So sad!!!!!!!

I am rejecting this response because:they required additional money on 2/16/15 for supplies or the order would be canceled, and I only agreed to pay if they guaranteed delivery that day. It was not delivered. I spoke with a supervisor the next day who thought it was outrageous that they asked for money, and she promised a beautiful basket would be delivered that day(2/17), and if not I could cancel. She called back and left a message saying it could not, so I called back and canceled. With a fight, the customer rep agreed. The next day the basket is delivered and I had already made other gift arrangements. I called make sure they canceled the charge from my card and they said it was held up from the weather. My mother in law went to work on 2/17, the day of the bad weather so it was obviously not bad out, and furthermore, they promised delivery the day before the bad weather. I find the whole situation unprofessional and lacking in customer care. They agree to cancel my order, and then totally disregard my wishes and send the basket anyway. I was going to call my credit card company and dispute the charges, but wanted to give them a chance to do the right thing.

I am rejecting this response because: The website showed a picture of a rose with a teddy bear. The caption read "Exquisite Rose with Tedd" and a price of $34.99.  It didn't say starting at $34.99.  It didn't say $34.99 with an asterisk that offered explanation. It was clearly false advertisement regardless if the price was different on another page.  I do not accept the seller's response and I did read the advertisement and I accept the first price that was advertised, not the second price.  I accept the refund and will not be using nor recommending AVAS Flowrers.

I am rejecting this response because: I did not make the order on the businesses site.  I made it over the phone and was never informed of your terms.  If I had been informed I would not have ordered the flowers through that business as it was very important for the flowers to be delivered on that day as was promised by the person I spoke to on the phone.  A legally binding contract is through a meeting of the minds and in this case there was never a meeting of the minds or agreement to your terms.

I am rejecting this response because: I told them it would be closed at 6. Full refund

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:Yes, I did say you could substitute for the lilies..  however, there weren't even the appropriate amount of roses included in the delivery AND the substitutions were supposed to be comparable flowers, not cheap carnations and daises...  and the whole arrangement was too small..
Regards,
[redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:
The business is hiding shoddy products behind a policy that makes no sense. They are free to continue hiding in such a fashion, but I will loudly proclaim to my friends and family that they should avoid this company at all cost. I think they purposefully sell flowers that only last 25 hours so they can screw their customers and keep exorbitant fees.  This is not the mark of a "better" business, and if the Revdex.com sides with them, then you will be tarnishing your reputation as a fair arbiter.
