A company does have specific policies and customers need to adhere to them in order to resolve their issues. This was an on line order and those policies are in place:SATISFACTION COMMITMENT AND RETURN POLICYIn the unlikely event you are unhappy with your product(s), please notify us within 24 hours of delivery and you may return the arrangement for a refund, request an exchange of products, or receive store credit.Unfortunately, we have received your complaint after our allowed period of 24 hours. Our policy states (located on our website and a link is provided with your invoice)The customer notified Avas  after the 24 hour time frame and for that reason a refund or any resolution is not offered.

My apologizes for the issues mentioned. Your arrangement ordered was as follows:Tall Vase arrangement of hydrangeas with colorful flowers DESIGNERS CHOICE filled to value.The florist provided 6 fresh Hydrangeas, White Roses, Sunflowers, Snaps with greens in a 12" tall vase. It was accepted by the...

recipient with no issues. They later elected to bring it back to the florist and claimed it was not what they had ordered. It was delivered as requested and therefore was refused by the customer by bringing it back to the florist. If the customer refused the product, the order will not be refunded as per the Avas policy. The florist ordered the specific flowers to fill the arrangement and did make it as ordered. The florist needs to be paid for the flowres and the time to make the arrangement too. The photo provided did show that the arrangement delivered was what was ordered.

I received a full refund to my credit card.  I still believe their business practices are not as above board as they contest. Based on all the other complaints I saw on the internet, I am not alone in this assessment.

I am rejecting this response because:They didn't live up to their response. The flowers sent weren't worth $10 (priced at store). They didn't even resemble the arrangement I chose, not one flower even stated in description given. I paid $75 for a special arrangement with certain flowers my grandmother grew, since it was her funeral. This is a total misrepresentation of products they provide. I didn't trust them to pick up & resend because of the lack of care & misrepresentation. I will only accept more than $20 store credit because I refuse to give them anymore money now. And a full (3x... I know that's stretching, but this heartache of dealing with this company is worth it) refund.

On line description: A stuning vase arrangement that is sure to make your love blossom. Our Love in Bloom Bouquet @$69.99 consists of red and pink roses that complement a surrounding foundation of pink alstroemeria. This collection of fresh flowers are expertly arranged in a red vase to make this bouquet extra special. The recipe for the florist to follow was as follows: A red vase with 2 light pink roses, 4 red roses, stems of pink alstroe, with greens, filled to value.Item pictured is a depiction of an arrangement that we will make as similar as possible with the same look and feel. The customer provided a photograph of the arrangement delivered and it was "as described" within the Avas website. Red, pink roses surrounded by pink alstroemeria with greens in a vase. This arrangement was filled value and that is the reason for the rejection for a pick up and refund. The customer claimed that the arrangement wasnot as shown on line. There was no basis for the arrangement to be returned based on the description and the photograph provided. If the arrangement did not meet the requirements based on its on line description, the florist would have re delivered it as requested.

The customer stated in the complaint:The floral arrangement was to have been delivered by 8:00 P.M.. as per our reservation but was not indicated anywhere else. We will make every attempt to accommodate delivery requests, however we do not guarantee deliveries at specific dates or specific times. This apology was emailed to the customer on 2/16/15 by a customer service manager:"My name is Chris with the Avas Flowers customer service management and I’m very sorry there was such trouble with this order". The delivery information within the original order is as follows:Deliver To:SRequest delivery on Saturday, 02/14/2015A a courtesy, $13.95 refund has been issued and an additional $20.00 in store credits too:Current Reward Points @43187 which are worth $21.59 and do not have an expiration date either.A refund of $13.95 has been applied to transaction id 247991438The following email was sent to "[redacted]":A refund in the amount of $13.95 has been issued. It may take your bank up to 10 days to process this refund. We apologize for any inconvenience

We can not issue a full refund unless we have the ability to pick up the order in a timely manner - this is from our website"To receive a refund, non-perishable products may be returned unused and in its original state within 7 days of delivery for a full refund of the cost of the item, less any service fees. Hand-delivered floral product or perishable goods may be returned in its original state within 24 hours of delivery and may be subject to a 50% restocking fee of the cost of the product. " As this order was placed on the web, the terms and conditions were agreed to and we will not be able to issue a full refund.

This is what was ordered by the customer and that is what was delivered:Tall Vase arrangement of hydrangeas with colorful flowers designers choice fill to value. Colorful designers choice flowers is as it means, what the designer desires to use to fill to value. This order was filled to value and a refund will not be issued since it was refused and returned to the florist without approval of either Avas flowers or the florist. The customer took it upon herself to bring it back to the florist.
