Order damaged by shipper and returned to BBW without notification to me.
I placed an online order on 6/20/2022, during the semi-annual sale. I shop the sale because you have great deals. It didn’t arrive during the stated time frame so I started checking in all those places the delivery services leave packages and was not able to find the B&BW delivery anywhere. July 5, 2022 I checked the delivery status on the website and found out that the package indeed had been sent, but when it arrived at the FedEx distribution center it was damaged and returned to you. I did not receive notice from FedEx or you that the package had been returned. I did find out by looking at the shipping information details on the B&BW website. I immediately called and asked to have the order resent. The customer rep I spoke with indicated that would happen. The customer rep I spoke with also indicated I would receive an email confirmation. Neither of these things happened.
I called again today when I checked on the order and the order number had not been updated on my account. Today a different customer rep said “I’m very sorry we can’t send a large part of the order.” They would re-ship what was available, credit my card for the items that were no longer available. The customer rep also indicated they would provide free shipping on my next order; a 20% off coupon and a $20 gift card. All these things are very nice. However, I did the math and to replace the one specific item I purchase during the semi-annual sale the Eucalyptus Spearmint body wash. It is much easier to afford on a fixed income at the sale price. It was $3.95/bottle when I ordered it, and it was in stock. There are almost always additional items ordered. The regular price is $14.50/bottle. I ordered 20 bottles at the $3.95 price the total cost $79.00.
Okay, let us do the math.
Current price $14.50 with a buy 3 get one free sale
So, if I purchase 18 and get 6 free = $261
Less 20% = 208.80
Less $20 gift card = $188.80
This is $109.80 more than my initial purchase of $79.00
Even though, the things offered today are nice, they do not in my opinion qualify to your standard of making it right. From your website We're sorry to hear your item arrived damaged. Please contact us so we can make it right.

I spoke to Natasha earlier this morning and initially, I was okay with the plan that we discussed but as I thought about it further it's completely UNACCEPTABLEAs stated in my initial complaint, I ALWAYS have issues with B&BWThis is NOT the first timeBut the fact of the matter is, a piece of hot wick flew on my chestGod forbid if it flew in my eye! And out of this ordeal, they want me to mail back 4-candles and receive a $gift card? Seriously, a $gift card? That's only one candle and a Pocketbac! That's the thanks that I get for being a loyal customer, while their products are faulty and hurt peopleIt's crazyNatasha was extremely sweet but I truly can't accept this as a solution to what I've had to deal withMaybe they will be able to come up with another solution that will be a little better because this situation could have been so much worseI did call Natasha back and another young woman stated that she wasn't at her desk and that she would call me back so I'm waiting on a return call at this momentAlso wanted to submit an attachment of the candle and how you can clearly see how the tiny black pieces of are scattered across the candle as well as on the sides of the jar from how it exploded

The customer contacted us on December 14, regarding her and her son’s experience at our storeAt that time, we sent the customer a $Electronic Gift Card to cover the cost of her son’s couponAfter careful review, it appears that the customer was able to process an online order on December 14, for the full amount of her $gift card

I am rejecting this response because: I think I'm even more disappointed than I initially was when I issued the complaintI called back and spoke to repsThe first one didn't seem to care in the slightest bitBut the second lady explained things much betterAt first they wanted me to pack the candles up and send them backThen I explained to the second rep that I would just go in the storeBoth options are inconvenient; being that I work 3rd shiftI do think Bath and Body Works could have handled it much better than they did, howeverThe entire ordeal is very inconvenient PLUS they could have offered a complimentary candle or something just for the troubleIt's rude to make people go through so much with their products and then don't even try to satisfy the customer.Regards, [redacted] ***
