Kickstarter collects a portion from each reward provided via their siteDespite various complaints against Trunkster and other campaigns, Kickstarter continues to profit off the loses from all these individuals$for luggage is not cheap and the company should hold the campaigns accountable for these actions, instead of allowing for fraud and this level of scamI need a solution not an excuse

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ***, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
Thank you Revdex.com for following this up As I stated previously, this company has made many promises to customers over the last years and CONTINUES to break these promises Although they may be sincere and believe they will commit to this promise, they past conduct does not support this Further more I have gone through the Kickstarter business, emailed them directly, made many attempts to resolve this and they did not have the courtesy to respond in any kind. Therefore I would like to continue with the full reimbursement of funds I have no trust in their words, and I continue to see on the forums many, many others who are as disgruntled as me I would just like to have my hard earned money returned and put this extremely disappointing and drawn out process over. Thank you Revdex.com for your efforts.Kind regards*** ***

Hi there,We expect creators to fulfill rewards, offer refunds if they’re unable to complete their project, and communicate with backers at every step along the wayWhile Kickstarter is the platform for this agreement, we are not a part of itWe do not investigate a project creator’s ability to complete their project, nor do we facilitate refunds or the fulfillment of rewardsWhile in most cases you’ll find that rewards are delivered as promised, it’s also important to realize that some projects might not fulfill as plannedIn some cases, failure is a part of the process of creating something new, especially when working with a small team of creatorsWe do our best to help creators along the way in avoiding roadblocks or overcoming obstacles, and in the worst cases, when a project cannot be completed as planned, we work with creators as much as possible to help them communicate with backers. When you back a project on Kickstarter you enter into an agreement with the project creator, as described in our Terms of Use: ***These terms outline the responsibilities of backers and creatorsThis information can serve as a basis for legal recourse if a creator doesn’t fulfill their obligations under the agreementWe hope that backers will consider using this provision only in cases where they feel that a creator has not made a good faith effort to complete the project and fulfill.Thank you for all the patience and understanding you've shown with this project thus far.Best,Kickstarter

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ***, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
Whilst I understand the website page on kickstarter isn't taken down, why not remove the link to the website page where you can purchase these items? Clearly through your monitoring you must be aware that this creators has failed in everything he has promised and has failed to communicate, and the backers have been misled - so why continue to expose your customers to this creators website, you are linking people to a website, external to your own, where people can make a purchase, but you know that this person will not deliver the goods purchasedWhy not remove the link as to ensure more people do not make payments to this individual who clearly has no intention of delivering what has been paid for?Further, you speak of monitoring abuse, what actions are you taking to ensure that this creator cannot list any further projects?

Hi there,Our Editorial team looks through all projects on the site. We have a whole team of people in our office with backgrounds in all sorts of creative fieldsWhen we spot projects we think are really exceptional, we try to let the world know about them. Best,Kickstarter

Hi there, We can definitely understand your frustrations regarding delays with the Coolest Cooler projectThe creator's updates indicate that they are also frustrated, and that they are continuing to work hard to find the best solution for backers. A backer's desire to examine the
validity of this creator's claims are understandablePart of what makes our community so special is the vibrant backer community that supports creative endeavors and holds creators to the highest standards for transparency and integrity. That said, we'd also encourage backers of this project to keep in mind that this creator undertook a highly complicated project, has provided a detailed description of the path, has admitted to mistakes, and has committed to pursuing a positive outcome. When you back a project on Kickstarter you enter into an agreement with the project creator, as described in our Terms of Use: ***As funds are disbursed directly to the project creator, we're unable to facilitate refunds and while Kickstarter is the platform for this agreement, we are not a part of itA big part of Kickstarter’s mission is to support creative freedom and independence; we don’t step into the actual creative process itself. Although we are unable to offer refunds, we are constantly working to improve the vetting process for creators and thank you for sharing your experience. Sincerely,Kickstarter

Hi there, Our Support team is always happy to answer any questions you have via emailYou can contact us here: *** That said, Kickstarter does not manage the fulfillment or shipping of rewards, so in this case you'll want to get in touch with the project creator
directly in order to follow up about your rewardTo do that, just visit the project page and click on the creator's profile imageThis will open up their bio page where you can click the blue "Contact me" link and send them a message. Best,Kickstarter

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ***, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
[This is the same canned "refer to our website" response they provided beforeIt is unsatisfactory and does not resolve the dispute. My resolution is for Kickstarter to remove my project and discontinue unauthorized use of my logo and other company images from their website. My logo and company name are trademarked. Kickstarter is not authorized to use them indefinitely, nor for any purpose they wish. Kickstarter is acting with blatant impunity, retaining my suspended project on their website with innuendo generating comments of “violations of integrity” for anyone to seeThis is libelous. Yet they offer no explanation and will not specifically respond to you or meWho do these guys think they are?]

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# *** and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
This is a generic response by KS, which doesn't answer any of the points raised in the complaintI will comment to the relevant clauses with refutes:"Still, despite a creator's best efforts, some projects won't always come together as plannedIn these situations we ms ake ourselves available to creators to help however we can, and we encourage them to be as open as possible with their backers about the obstacles they faceBut no matter our efforts, projects will sometimes fail to come together as planned and backers will sometimes be disappointed in outcomesWe strive to constantly learn from this, and to make sure that expectations are appropriately set for backers." - this is not the case. This project was not created in good faith. The project reached its funding goal, however the bags were never delivered and the creators are MIA and haven't responded to the backers since December **, 2016. The bags have been created and are offered on sale on *** here (they are even using some of the pictures from the project):***Moreover, a video of the exact project, connecting it with other fraudulent projects, had surfaced during August 2016, a month before the project got fundedThe fact that a random user had raised suspicion of the project is a proof that KS had not done enough to discover the network of fraud (as seen in the video in this link: *** ).I even think that the pictures of the creators is an identity theft.Again, everything points that this project was not done in good faith, that there was evidence for a network of scammers and that KS has not done everything to connect the backers with the creators or even to prove their identity. We also expect all members of the Kickstarter community to act with honesty and opennessOur Community support and Integrity teams monitor Kickstarter's system and review reports received from usersSome actions taken may include:Reaching out to creators and reminding them post project updates as well as respond to backer messagesRevoking account privileges, including the ability to run another campaign on Kickstarter, until rewards have been fulfilled or an update has been posted for backersSuspending or restricting account privileges if there is sufficient evidence of abuse against our system or trust of others. As showed before, there was sufficient evidence pointed out by a user to raise suspicion to an existence of a network that made several fraudulent projects.I have been corresponding with a support representative named Katherine between February ** - March *, 2017.When I tried to ask KS to get the creators' contact information I was told: "*** *** ***

***This just to show KS prefers the privacy of the creators (who basically have smaller risk) rather than the trust and security of the backers who lost their money to the platform. To add on that, I have a testimony that the bags already exist and createdThe manufacturer themselves have admitted they lost contact with the creators and they are stuck with inventory of bags. Also, I made contact with the agency that produced the promotional video named "Fund Today" on Facebook, who also said they lost contact with the creators. These are all to prove this is a case on which the users and suppliers were scammed and KS was a beneficiary of this (getting their commission) and KS has not done all in its power to avoid such scenarios.I was contacted by several other backers from all around the world, which withholds taking a legal action against KS or the creatorsThere are people who had their money stolen from them and KS is still backing the creators instead of their trusted consumers. To summarize, this response is generic from KS HQIt does not answer this case of bad faith by the creators - the bags are sold in China.Despite them mentioning they hold dear their backers and work with the creators, it has been shown - more than once - that in cases where the creators don't act in good faith KS don't protect their backers and enjoy the commission. To solve this KS should - beyond the letter of the law - refund their backers of this project, warn other backers of fraud on their platform or change their T&C and do more to prove the integrity of the projects.-- *** ***

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ***, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
Yet another copy / paste response that didn't address the issue at handThis appears to be an all too common issue with Kickstarter customer service thinking their inept customer service team can simply paste the same responses while not offering any actual help. Kickstarter needs to reread the original complaint, as well as the emails sent through their own website, and then proceed with contacting the creator to initiate a refund in my nameThis is due to Kickstarter blocking me from contacting the creator that went missing for two months when I started compiling info for other backers as to his potential whereaboutsPlease note Kickstarter offered zero assistance to the backers who repeatedly asked for help finding the creator:***Any response that does not contain proof of a refund initiated in my name by Kickstarter will be rejected.

Hi ***, We expect creators to fulfill rewards, offer refunds if they’re unable to complete their project, and communicate with backers at every step a*** the wayWhile Kickstarter is the platform for this agreement, we are not a part of itWe do not investigate a project creator’s ability
to complete their project, nor do we facilitate refunds or the fulfillment of rewardsWhile in most cases you’ll find that rewards are delivered as promised, it’s also important to realize that some projects might not fulfill as planned. In cases where a creator's communication has fallen off or a reward has not been delivered, we encourage backers to reach out to creators to ask about the project's or reward's statusIt's important for backers to bear in mind that creators may be working through delays and unforeseen obstacles to produce and deliver rewardsAt the same time, it's important for creators to be as transparent as possible and communicate honestly with backers about setbacks. When you back a project on Kickstarter you enter into an agreement with the project creator, as described in our Terms of Use: *** These terms outline the responsibilities of backers and creatorsThis information can serve as a basis for legal recourse if a creator doesn’t fulfill their obligations under the agreementWe hope that backers will consider using this provision only in cases where they feel that a creator has not made a good faith effort to complete the project and fulfill. Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ***, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:This product was originally expected in February and it is now estimated to be available June 2016, although it has been delayed so many times that I am highly skeptical that delivery will even be made by that date My issue is not with the delay, as stated previously The product is being sold retail prior to the original backers receiving the product which is unacceptable to me My concern is that this product is being sold on the internet before the backers ($million dollars worth!) receive the product I am doubtful that I will ever receive the product that I backed in August and according to kickstarter rules, Projects must honest and clearly presented and I do not believe this has been the case Although the Coolest continues to send out "updates" they are simply excuses as to why they are not moving forward with the product that was backed and started to be produced and is still not ready to ship This is unacceptable.
