BellaLabs Reviews (602)

This company uses fraudulent methods and mock surveys to sign you up for a product they advertise as a free gift (You only pay shipping is the ploy)!Avoid this company at all cost. I got my money returned to my charge card after an extensive conversation with Bella Labs and filing a fraud alert with my charge card company or I would be filing a complaint with the Revdex.com.

Our charge card had foreign transaction fees charged to it, so they are probably operating outside the country for their protection.

Review: Bella Labs (bellalabs.com) advertises a wrinkle remover cream for $4.95 with free shipping and handling. I saw their ad on Facebook. Item arrived fine. I later discovered that they charged me an additional $87.63 on top of the $4.95 advertised priced that I originally agreed to pay. Called the company and they said that on their fine print, which I never even saw, states I need to return the item within 15 days or I will be charged an additional $87.63. I used a debit card to make a payment so I was not protected. I'm out this money that I can't afford. I live off of my Social Security benefits and this company basically stole my much needed money.Desired Settlement: I would like the company to refund the $87.63. I can return their item if they desire. I don't want it anymore.

At BellaLabs, every customer is given the right to try their first 30 day supply without charge for the first 14 days just by paying $4.95 for shipping and handling. After the 14 day trial period if the customer is unsatisfied with their product, they are to return the remainder postmarked for return within their 14 day trial period and also contact customer service to notify a request for cancellation. If the customer keeps their 30 day supply after the 14 days, they are automatically billed for their product on the 15th day and then automatically shipped and billed a product every 30 days thereafter. The customer has the ability to cancel at anytime by calling customer service or emailing [email protected]. If a customer needs to contact customer service, the phone number is listed on bellalabs.com, the product, the pamphlet, and the package the product is shipped in. The terms are disclosed clearly on bellalabs.com where the customer would have ordered their product. The customer has to also click "I agree to the terms and conditions" two times before the order is processed. If the customer does not "agree" to the terms, the order will not process. The terms and conditions are disclosed directly on the ordering website not only on the bottom of the first page, but also highlighted in a large white box on the second page where the customer inputs their card information as well as sent out with the product.

Review: On January 16, 2014 I ordered a free trial of their facial cream. I agreed to pay $4.95 for shipping and handling. On January 29,2014 I saw they charged my debit card $87. I did not authorize this payment. I did not see anything when I order that I was agreeing to a monthly charge. I agree to a one time charge of $4.95. I tried calling the company when I found out it was a scam. It would have 13 days after my order, but they charged me after business hours so I left a message to cancel. And how does the 14 day trial start when you order not when you receive it.Desired Settlement: I want to return their product and them to take the charge off my debit card.

The customer has to also click "I agree to the terms and conditions" twice before the order is processed. If the customer does not "agree" to the terms, the order will not process. The terms and conditions are disclosed directly on the ordering website not only on the bottom of the first page, but also highlighted in a large white box on the second page where the customer inputs their card information as well as sent out with the product. The consumer placed the order on 01/14/2014. This is when they paid the initial $4.95 and this began the 14 day trial period to sample from the initial 30 day supply. Since there was no notification of a request for cancellation and/or a returned product during the allotted trial period, the consumer was automatically billed for the 30 day supply on 01/29/2014 as explained in the terms and conditions for which they agreed to. The consumer contacted our company on 01/30/2014 with a request for cancellation. The account was canceled immediately as instructed and they were sent a confirmation email confirming the cancellation. Based on the nature of the call, the customer service agent refunded half of the charge of $87.63 on that same day as agreed to by the consumer. The consumer would have received an e-mail confirmation of the cancellation and refund. As a courtesy, we are refunding the remainder of the charge for the immediate return of the product. The refund will take three to seven business days to credit back. If there are any further questions, feel free to contact us during regular business hours. Thank you.

Review: This company included many written offers in a package I got from a more reputable company. I wanted to get the trial size FREE sample of a skin cream which was presented as FREE, except for shipping and handling costs of $5. The product arrived and my bank was debited the $5. Today the bank called. This company debited my account $87 unbeknownst to me and threw me into overdraft. I called the company who repeated a script of how I had agreed to the terms which must have been on a grain of rice somewhere. Then I was led to believe they would reimburse me and cover half the bank charges, but of course, they only had agreed to 1/2 the $87 FREE sample, or in other words $43. This is the trickiest of advertising. I have had to pay for a product sampler promoted as FREE, pay overdraft charges, and cancel my credit card, as who would trust them with that information.Desired Settlement: I believe they should reimburse me for the entire $87 and split the $30 bank fee with me. More importantly, I think they should look hard at their false advertising. How about if they said, Small sample, FREE to you for 10 days, then you will pay BIG.

We do not offer a free sample, this terminology is not utilized in our advertising or on our website. We advertise a 30-day product supply on a trial period basis. All information is provided on the website prior to consumer's placing their orders. At BellaLabs, every customer is given the option to try their first 30 day supply without charge for 10 days after receiving their order. During the 10 days, if the customer is not satisfied with their product, they are to contact customer service via phone or email with a notice of cancellation and the product must be postmarked for return within those 10 days. If the customer keeps their 30 day supply after 10 days from the date of delivery, they are automatically billed for the product and then billed and shipped a new 30 day supply every 30 days thereafter. The customer has the ability to cancel at any time by calling customer service or emailing [email protected]. If a customer needs to contact customer service, the phone number is listed on www.bellalabs.com, the product, the pamphlet that arrives with their order, and the package the product is shipped in. The terms are disclosed clearly on www.bellalabs.com where the customer would have ordered the product. The customer also has to click “I agree to the terms and conditions” twice before the order is processed. If the customer does not click the box to agree with the terms, the order will not process. I appreciated the prompt, excellent customer service via email regarding my need to return the product. I was surprised by it, as we aren't used to this level of service anymore. In addition, the terms of my return of the free trial product were good. But mainly I wanted to say I was pleasantly surprised by the good customer service.

Review: I linked over to Bellalabs.com website to take advantage of a 14 day free trial product called Bellalabs Facial Cream for the cost of shipping and handling of $4.95 in May 2014. I later noticed I was charged $87.63 in June for the product (I should have contested the charge in june because I was not informed I would be charged monthly from here on out). Today I noticed another charge processing on my bank account for another $87.63. I contacted the company and spoke with Rep [redacted] and Supervisor [redacted] who agreed to give me a full refund of $87.63 for the charge in July and to return any product I receive in the future, cancel any further business with me, and send me an e-mail confirming our conversation. When I received the e-mail it stated they were charging me $43 and I was not given a full refund.

They also had another product on their website called La Crème anti-wrinkle cream for $4.95 trial (I did not realize this was a different company, and they sent me La Crème anti-wrinkle cream and also charged me $87.63 in June)

While speaking with [redacted] she informed that La Crème was a separate company and she suggested I contact that company because she could not help me with that issue, so I have to file another complaint under that company's name.

I feel they are practicing bait and switch practices and not pointing out all the facts so that a consumer could make an informed decision. I would never have done business with either of these companies had I seen the fine print stating I had to cancel the order within 14 to avoid being charged $87.63 for the product that I thought cost only $4.95.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of the $87.63 charged in June and July for a total of $175.26 and I can return the first product as I have only used a small amount thus far.

Review: I recently enrolled in a free 14 day trial of Bellalabs product. I agreed to the free trial and to pay for the shipping charges. I conducted this purchase on 7/26/13, however, the product did not arrive by mail for a week. The terms and conditions of the agreement do not clarify if the trial is for 14 calendar or business days. Plus due to shipping you do not truly have 14 days to try the product. After 14 calendar days the company submitted a debit to my account for $87.63. They claim that I agreed to pay for a 30 day trial after the 14 day free trial. I disagree, I did not agree to an additional 30 day purchase. My transaction receipt indicates that I purchased a free 14 day trial and any additional terms and conditions were not listed or linked to my receipt. I feel that this was a bait and switch and submitted an unauthorized debit to my account. I have reported this transaction to my financial institution. I feel that this company is scamming people with advertising a free trial, obtaining peoples card information and then submitting unauthorized transactions. Please help unsuspecting shoppers to beware of this company.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund of $87.63.

Mrs. [redacted] contacted our company on 8/11/13 with a request for cancellation. Her account was canceled as instructed and she was sent a confirmation email confirming her cancellation. The customer service agent refunded $44.00 on that same day as a courtesy. We have also refunded the remainder of the charge on her account in the amount of $43.82 as we value customer satisfaction. Although, Mrs. [redacted] ordered our product, she has been refunded fully in the amount of $87.63.

Review: I purchased an anti wrinkle cream in September 2015 which was advertised for $4.99 but a week later my account was charged again for an additional $98.74 on Septmber 30, 2015. I called to cancel my account and asked about the additional charges and was told because I kept the product I had to pay the remaining balance. I was told that my account will be closed and that they would refund the money as a one time courtesy. However on 10/15/2015 they charged my account again for a total of $103.69. I called again to complain about the new charges and was told that a new jar was sent because my account wasn't officially closed yet, even though I clearly demanded to close my account just two weeks prior to the new charges. This company has charged my account for a total of $207.38 for a anti wrinkle cream which was sent back to them through UPS which I had to pay $2.52 in October of 2015. I have tried to reach them numerous times for the past three months and none of the numbers no longer work its a constant busy signal. Such a scam!Desired Settlement: I want a refund sent to my address at [redacted] from the company for a total of $209.90.

Review: I purchased a "Free Trial" of Bella Labs and paid $4.95 shipping. Unbeknownst to me the company charged me $87.63 for this, then another $87.63 a month later as I had automatically been "subscribed" to this. I called to complain to the company, unsubscribe and return the unused second shipment, but they refused to issue a refund - I was offered only $21 back despite paying them $175, and I was willing to return the entire unused, unopened second shipment to them.

I am a senior citizen, and I feel that the company has taken advantage of me and is refusing to correct the error. I have already returned the product back to the company.Desired Settlement: I would like the entire amount ($175.26) refunded

Review: I received a solicitation on the internet to try a product that Bella Labs makes. The advertisement was written as "TRY NOW, 14 day trial" - just pay for shipping. I decided to try the product thinking I had 14 days to test it. I ordered the trial on April 13th. On April 14th I received an email stating the product has shipped. Several days passed and I received nothing. NINE days later the item arrived. I assumed my 14 day trial period started the day I received the product. However, four days later I was charged $87.63. I contacted Customer service immediately but no one was available until Monday. I called on Monday April 28th to inquire why I was being billed for a trial that I had 14 days to try and only just received the product on April 22nd! The Representative told me the trial period began April 13th - the day I placed the trial order. When I inquired about the time it took to send it to me (9 days!) their response was "sorry, but you don't need 14 days to test the product!" I asked for an extension of the trial period due to the amount of time it took to arrive. I was denied! I feel this was an outright advertising deception to the public! They advertise a 14 day trial, and no where in that advertisement does it mention the condition of the trial period. Nothing was mentioned throughout the purchasing part! What's worse, is that the customer service is located in California, but apparently the product ships out of New Jersey! I looked up the tracking information on the package and learned, the product was not shipped on April 14th (as I was informed via email) but rather on April 17th. More importantly, it wasn't even shipped from California, but rather New Jersey and it still took 5 days to receive it (and I'm in New Jersey) It seems obvious to me that these are all blatant deceptive tactics used to fool the consumer. If the trial period was as they say, it would have been stated up front - boldly and next to the "try now" advertisement. FALSE advertisement and theft!Desired Settlement: I would like to receive a refund of the $87.63.

Review: Truth in Advertising. Promise free samples - apparently in small print - which EVERYONE misses they give you 14 days to try the product or return it. If you don't return it your card will be charged nearly $88.00 on the 14th day. Please look at the complaints this company has gotten for this scam - they are numerous, unfortunately, I did not check it out before I was taken by the free sample gimmick. They WILL NOT refund your money no matter what. Someone needs to look into this lawless advertising this company is getting away with. I had to cancel my credit card to make sure that no other charges would be put on it like so many others had to deal with.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund, but mostly I want them to STOP this fraudulent practice that so many consumers have fallen victim to.

Review: I was on Medscape.com 4/18/2014 and this survey screen pops up. After several attempts to close this survey that I thought was connected to Medscape; I completed a short 3 question survey. At the end there were three "FREE" gifts available and the participant had to select one. Naturally, I selected the facial cream. I had to fill in shipping info and pay $1.99 for shipping. What a deal. To good to be true. I received the facial Cream 4/25/2014 with no information about a 14-day trial period. Looking at the container I noticed that it was missing the ingredients info. I had other things going on this weekend so I put the product aside.

Today, 4/28/2014, I decided to check the web site Bellalabs. As soon as I got onto the site, red alerts were all over the screen denoting "SCAM". If I do not contact them before Friday, May 2 to return this product, they will charge my account $87.54 without my consent.

I am going to contact Yahoo and Medscape about the "SCAM".Desired Settlement: They have false advertising and should be shut down. I didn't order their product. There was no screen that discussed this free gift as a 14 day trial. The public is being taken advantage of. They only have 3 employees trying to sell a $5 product for $85.

Review: In March and April separate charges appeared on my Visa for Bella Labs for $87.63 each that were not authorized and is fraud. Bella Labs is the name on the charges. Review: On march 19th I completed an online survey and an alert appeared saying I won an "absolutely free" prize. There were 3 prizes to choose from: an anti aging cream, a $50 best buy gift card that happened to be out of stock and another item I honestly don't recall. I was a bit wary at first but there were several testimonials from people claiming to have not needed the product so they sold it for great profit. And when I clicked on the anti aging cream it said the same thing. Still unsure, I googled the product on ebay and saw several items up, ranging from 20-30 dolllars each. I thought it was worth it for the 4.95 and decided to do it. It was a fairly simple process and there didn't seem to be any catches (including trials, cancellations, or anything of the sort) so I proceeded with the transaction. I completely forgot I ordered the product until I received it around the 30th of march. I planned to sell it on ebay since I've hit a rough patch recently (hence the reason I'm doing surveys in the first place) but hadn't been able to do it yet since my smartphone was disconnected when I couldn't pay my bill. Fast forward to today (April 7th) and I check my chase account through my fiance's phone. I was actually checking to see if iwas charged my 7.95 monthly fee for netflix so I could go ahead and cancel if not so my account wouldn't go negative. Lo and behold my account was not $8 negative but $87!!! I was shocked and called bella labs to explain I paid the shipping and handling and there must be a mistake. The first service rep told me he had heard of this happening 3 or 4 times already this month, with survey companies offering their product free without their permission. I was beginning to feel bad for them getting scammed , until he spoke to his manager and said he was only authorized to refund me 25% of my "purchase price" since I didn't cancel during my "trial". What trial? I then spoke to his manager who said there was nothing they could do since I allegedly agreed to a trial. Why would I agree to return something within 14 days if their website said I could sell it for a profit? And even if I wanted to try it I am definitely within my 14 day trial and should be able to cancel and not get charged. I still have the original packaging and the box is unopened. I requested to return the item but was again told no and the manager just kept saying my 25% of the "purchase price" was already returned to my account and it would be up to my bank on how long it took to actually receive my money. I've had the product less than a week and its unopened but according to them, my 14 day trial starts the day I place the order. I've never heard of this before and now I will be charged an additional $35 from my bank due to the overdraft. I called my bank and was informed the $87 was still pending and they could do nothing to stop it. I was also informed that chase had no control over how fast the money was returned to me. I have not been charged the $35 overdraft fee yet but I will be if I do not have enough funds in my account to cover the transaction by the time it's deducted. I dont get paid for almost another week so I can only hope the transaction doesnt post until then. Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Thank you and have a nice dayDesired Settlement: I would like to be refunded the "purchase price" of this product and if I do get overdrafted, a refund on that amount also. If at all possible I would like this charge stopped before it posts and affects my account any more than it already has.

At BellaLabs, every customer is given the right to try their first 30 day supply without charge for the first 14 days. After the 14 day trial period, if the customer is unsatisfied with their product, they are to return the remainder postmarked for return within their 14 day trial period and also contact customer service to notify a request for cancellation. The customer has to also click "I agree to the terms and conditions" twice before the order is processed. If the customer does not "agree" to the terms, the order will not process. The terms and conditions are disclosed directly on the ordering website not only on the bottom of the first page, but also highlighted in a large white box on the second page where the customer inputs their card information, as well as sent out with the product. The consumer placed the order on 3/19/14. This is when they paid the initial $4.95 and this began the 14 day trial period to sample from the initial 30 day supply. Since there was no notification of a request for cancellation and/or a returned product during the allotted trial period, the consumer was automatically billed for the 30 day supply on 4/3/14 as explained in the terms and conditions for which they agreed to. The consumer contacted our company on 4/7/14 with a request for cancellation. The account was canceled immediately as instructed and they were sent a confirmation email confirming the cancellation. Based on the nature of the call, the customer service agent refunded 25% of the charge on that same day. The consumer would have received an e-mail confirmation of the cancellation and refund. We value customer satisfaction so we have issued the remainder of the refund in the amount of $65.73. The refund will take three to seven business days to credit back.

Review: I answered an ad on my [redacted] for a "free" bottle of face cream. It came in a box, with ads that I won a free "Cruse"...I declined. No other information was enclosed. It's been over 30 days, and yesterday, December 3, I was checking my bank balance and there was an amount of $87.36 taken out of my account. I spoke to a bank employee and it was from "Bellabs". I asked if they could stop that transaction. They said I had to call the company. I got the phone number off the back of the bottle. Spoke to "[redacted]" and I wanted to know why they took that money out of my account. His reply was that I was to return the bottle within 30 days or I would be charged. I never received that information. I threatened him with our Attorney General getting involved. I argued and after being on hold for at least 5-7 minutes, "[redacted]" returned and said they would refund my money. I asked for an e-mail confirming this. I did receive an e-mail saying I would be credited for my "Order" (Which I did not place) and the cost of the bottle. Now, I have to wait 3 days according to "[redacted]" then the money would be put back in my account. I WAS SCAMED! I never thought I would fall for that "FREE" trick, but I did. Please let the public know about this. I did, on my [redacted]. Thank you.Desired Settlement: I would like the $87.36 put back in my account. I live on an income from Social Security and never spend beyond my means.

Review: On September 12, 2015 I ordered from LaCreme skin care for $3.99 and afterward they started taking $87.63 from my credit card. In October I called and cancelled the product (Conformation [redacted]). In October BELLALABS(do not know how they got involved) started taking $87.33 out of my account (in Oct. Nov. Dec. Jan.). I did not order any product from BELLALABS and do not know how they got my information to just star taking money out of my account. I think this is a fraud. Even though I did not order anything from BALLALABS, they said they sent the product to my home which I did not receive. They gave me a conformation tracking number from the US Post Office, when I track the package, it states it was sent to my Zip Code, no address. I am 80 years old, live alone on a fixed income and would like the return of my money.Desired Settlement: I really need my money, which is a lot for me.

Review: On 6/11/14 I responded to a Facebook sponsored ad from BellaLabs for a beauty product facial lotion. The offer was to pay shipping of $4.95 and receive a trial container of the lotion. The advertisement led me to believe I had 30 days to try the product and if I did nothing, then I would start receiving monthly shipments of the item and be billed $87 for each shipment. I was under the assumption I was receiving a TRIAL package for which I only paid $4.95 and had 30 days to respond. But on 6/26/14 my Visa credit card was billed $87.63. I searched for the paperwork that had come with the shipment and discovered there was a small business card included, looked just like a business card but had tiny print of which the last lines indicated I needed to call the company within 14 days of the item being shipped (shipped 6/11/14) to cancel any agreement or I would be billed $87 for the container I was already sent, plus start being billed monthly the $87 for each container they sent to me. I thought I had 30 days to use the product, I thought the product I had in hand was a trial bottle for which I paid $4.95 and kept it. In reality, I had to call the company in 14 days (by 6/25/14) or my credit card would be immediately billed the $87 and I'd be set up to receive and be billed for the product monthly. My credit card was billed, I called the company to say I did not want to start receiving the product, and wondered why I was billed the $87. It was at that point that I became aware of the true details of the offer and my mistake in not picking up on their conditions. However, their advertising is very misleading and I feel intended to trick the consumer intentionally into being billed before the consumer can cancel. My order number with this company was [redacted] And if that wasn't bad enough, this offer included/required the purchase of a second type of facial creme sample from LaCreme under which the exact same circumstances occurred to me and to which I will file a separate complaint. I feel as if I fell for a scam, and indeed I guess I did. Can anything be done?Desired Settlement: I accept the charge of $4.95 for the initial shipment of the trial container, but I would like to be refunded the $87.63 charged to my VISA credit card before I had time to respond and cancel. Ideally I would like to see their ads pulled from facebook or adjusted so that others do not fall for this as I did.

Review: I filled out a form because it looked like it was an offer from my credit card company. I was at the url [redacted], but the address I was supposed to be at was [redacted]. There was an advertisement for products at a very reasonable price, so I purchased a bottle of skin cream for a special price of $4.95. I should have known it was too good to be true.

My credit card was charged $4.95 immediately, and then later was charged 87.95. Thankfully I caught the "service" in time, because apparently their plan was to charge me the latter amount each month for a bottle of skin cream. Again, the advertisement misled me to believe that it was an offer from my credit card company for the price of $4.95.Desired Settlement: I would like for the company's misleading web offers to be changed. Although they have tried to charge me a high, unexpected price, more importantly, they have wasted my precious time. I do not want other people to be misled and inconvenienced by the scams of BellaLabs. Please look into this matter. Thank you.

Review: I responded to an online offer of a free sample of a skin product. Only needed to pay for shipping. There was no information that said the product was not actually free, but a 10 day trial, in which I would be charged $87 for the tiny jar of creme if I didn't respond. Completely misleading and absolutely did not provide this information where I signed up. I have cancelled my credit card and filed a [redacted] dispute case. I have not found out conclusion yet.

This company also is connected to another company [redacted], they have you sign up for free trial for both and claim that the cremes work together, I was charged $87 by both companies. I have read many other unhappy accounts about this bait and switch scam.Desired Settlement: I have filed a [redacted] dispute claim with this company. I would like them recognize that what they are doing is not okay and for my dispute claim to be justified and have a refund of $87. I am happy to send their "free sample" back to them, as I have not opened it or used it.

Thank you
