BellaLabs Reviews (602)

Per a trial offer on the Dr. Oz show, we ordered BellaLabs on the November 6th.

The trial offer shipping charge was under $5.00. By bank statement says they charged $87.63.

On contacting the company, It was hard to understand the individual I talked to. they are going to refund $43.82,

I feel we were taken advantage of and I still don't see how they could legally take more out of my account than I agreed to.

I want to agree with the other complaints. The web site is very misleading and should be redone. And it does say free with 14 day free trial. Well it took 5 days for me to receive the product and only 9 days to decide if I even liked the creams I was sent. How can you be sure with only 8 to 9 days to decide on a product that says it takes at least 2 months to start seeing results. The web site was very misleading and it gave a different price than what I was charged. I wish like so many others that I would have checked with the Revdex.com before I decided to use this product. I would not recommend anyone to go for the free trial as it is so called. Because like myself I have learned the hard way. And to pay 87.63 for a tiny little jar of cream is beyond crazy. I will be smarter in the future. I do not recommend this product to anyone.

Review: Their ad window popped up while I was on my favorite search engine, Startpage. It showed their facial cream in beautiful cobalt blue containers. It said it would erase my wrinkles. They begged me to try it for at least 20 days and if I wasn't satisfied with it, I could send it back for a full refund. I understood the trial would be 20 days from the time I'd receive the product. All I'd have to do is pay $4.95 and I'd get to try it for free. So I ordered it July 22nd. I received it 9 days later and started trying it Aug. 1st. On Aug. 15, I checked my bank account. It showed that Bellalabs had already taken $87.63 out of my account. So I called them up. A rude customer service girl said, "You should have read the Terms of Agreement, it said it all in there!" She revealed that the trial period starts the day the customer orders the product and lasts only 14 days. That means they gave me only 5 days to find out whether the product works or not. Usually with facial creams, it takes at least 30 days to notice any changes in the face, not just 5. I have never heard of a company starting the trial period the day the customer orders the product. It didn't even come in the nice blue container they advertised, but in a simpler, cheaper one and it had no ingredients listed. I told her I want to send the cream back. She said they would only send it right back to me. I asked to speak to her manager. She said her manager will "call me back at her convenience." She never called. I called them back a week later, at which time I noticed some pimples in my face that must have come from using their product. I told them the product doesn't work, causes pimples, and that I'm not satisfied with it. I asked for a full refund, but the guy said they could only refund me 25% of the price. I said okay, but it's not enough.Desired Settlement: I don't just want to get 25 % of it refunded, as that's only $21.91, but the full refund of $87.63. Also, they should change their advertisement to include the price of their product and that the trial period starts the day the customer orders the product.

At Bella Labs every customer is given the right to try their first 30 day supply without charge for the first 14 days. After the 14 day trial period, if the customer is unsatisfied with their product, they are to return the remainder postmarked for return within their 14 day trial period and also contact customer service to notify a request for cancellation. If the customer keeps their 30 day supply after the 14 days, they are automatically billed for their product on the 15th day and then automatically shipped and billed a product every 30 days thereafter. The customer has the ability to cancel at anytime by calling customer service or emailing [email protected]. If a customer needs to contact customer service, the phone number is listed on bellalabs.com, the product, the pamphlet, and the package the product is shipped in. The terms are disclosed clearly on bellalabs.com where the customer would have ordered their product. The customer has to also click "I agree to the terms and conditions" twice before the order is processed. If the customer does not "agree" to the terms, the order will not process. The terms and conditions are disclosed directly on the ordering website not only on the bottom of the first page, but also highlighted in a large white box on the second page where the customer inputs their card information as well as sent out with the product.

Review: I agreed to pay $4.95 for a free trial bottle of skin wrinkle remover. I was not told of any other conditions. Now, I find out that It is free only for 14 days. You must cancel before that. After 14 days they charge full price for the free trial. Then they keep billing for the product every month thereafter. I was billed full price for May on the 28th. I was billed again on June 27, but didnt receive product. Again I was billed on July 29, and did receive product, but didnt order it. The total I have been billed for this FREE product is $262.89. There is no way to contact customer service, and the phone number is no longer in service. Please put there criminals out of business.Desired Settlement: I want my money back. Them out of business.

Review: This product is advertised as a one month supply for 4.95 for shipping and handling. You have 14days to decide if you want to be billed for full amount of 87.63, or send it back. I received it last week on 05/30/13. I called today to tell them I was sending it back. It is made in Vietnam which would not be my choice of a place to buy a facial cream, and it does not smell good. I spoke with a rep named [redacted] and she explained that this was my second shipment. That I had received the first in April. I did not receive anything until last week I explained. They had already charged my account the full price. She looked in their records and it was shown sent back. So I never tried it because I did not receive it. Then I said I was sending this one back. She said they would refund the 87.63 from April. Great. So this one I received last week should have been my 4.95 advertised free trial for 14 days, and I am within that trial period. [redacted] asked me if I had opened it, duhh, yes I said. She said she could not accept it back because I did. How do you try something if you do not open it. Then she said she would refund 44.00 of the 87.63. My logic says I should only have had to pay the 4.95, which they had already charged me for. Then a full refund should be issued of 87.63, for this one, as in their advertisement. Thank you, respectfully, [redacted]Desired Settlement: The difference of 44.00 and 87.63: 43.63.

Review: I thought I was ordering a "trial" sample of a wrinkle cream for the cost of shipping/handling ($4.95). Today my bank called me to verify 2 purchases that appeared on my Visa card. I was not aware that I would be automatically charged for what I thought was a free trial sample if I didn't cancel within 14 days of placing my order. I also ordered a wrinkle cream from [redacted], one website directs you to the other and implies the products used together provide better results. I called both companies' Customer Service to cancel and request a refund. Both Agents stated that since I agreed to the Terms and Conditions, I wasn't eligible for a refund. The Terms and Conditions is not located on the same computer screen as the order form. The Agents put me on hold for a few minutes and upon returning to the phone stated I could get a 50% refund (basically the cost of the product if it was purchased on [redacted]). Other concerns I have is a 14 day window isn't enough time to know if a product is going to work, the product boxes and pamphlets state results to be seen in 1-2 months. Also, the advertising for the wrinkle cream implies there is a limited supply and to "order now"!

Review: I agreed to what the website said was a free trial & was later billed for the product and was automatically sent more product 1 month later that I didn't ask for and was billed for that. I disputed it with my credit card company but Bella Labs insisted that I owed them money for this product.Desired Settlement: I want a full refund of all of the charges from this company and no further charges and would like them to stop this deceptive advertising .

The customer placed the order on 6/3/15. This is when they paid the initial $4.95 for shipping and handling and this began the trial period to sample from the initial 30 day supply they were sent. Since there was no notification of a request for cancellation and/or a returned product during the allotted time, the customer was automatically billed for the 30 day supply on 6/18/15 as explained in the terms and conditions which they agreed to. We attempted to bill the customer on 7/18/15 for their next shipment but the charge was declined by their banking institution. We successfully billed the customer on 7/21/15 for that next shipment. The consumer contacted BellaLabs on 7/27/15 with a request for cancellation. The account was cancelled immediately as instructed and the customer was sent a cancellation confirmation via email. We received notice from the customer's banking institution that the charges were being disputed by the customer. We replied to those notices with the terms and conditions the customer agreed to on 6/3/15. We are unable to refund the charges in our system since the customer has the charges in dispute. However we have mailed a check to the customer for the amount of $87.63 as a courtesy, due to this complaint. If the customer would like the tracking number for the check being mailed they can contact us directly at [email protected] or by calling customer service at 1-877-767-9942. We stand by our policies and we would like to reiterate that our customers accept the terms and conditions two separate times to process their order. We state the terms and conditions clearly, and send a synopsis card with our contact information, with each order. Terms and conditions are located on all ordering websites, and should be read as they are there for a reason. Please refer to our website, www.bellalabs.com or www.bellalabs.com/main/index.php. Below is a brief explanation of our terms and conditions:Terms and ConditionsYou will have 10 days from the date you receive your bottle to decide if BellaLabs is right for you. You must pay a shipping and handling fee of $4.95 for us to send you a full 30 day supply of BellaLabs. If you are unhappy with the product at any time during those 10 days, you must call us at 1-877-767-9942 and cancel your order to avoid being billed for the full cost of the product. If you are satisfied with our product, then do nothing and we will bill you $87.63 for your initial order, and every 30 days thereafter we will send you a new 30 day supply of the product for $87.63. Review: On 01MAY14 while on the internet a pop up ad for Bella Labs came up offering a free 30 supply just pay shipping and handling of $4.95. It then went directly to an info box to allow input of my credit card data to pay for said shipping & handling. I did not get a Bella Lab web site or anything additional information. My wife and I then left on a business trip on 02MAY14. We returned home and picked up our mail on 28MAY14. On opening the Bella Lab package along with the product it included a business card with their terms and conditions on the back. It stated that this was "free 14 day trial and that on day 15 from order I would be billed $87.63 for the total cost of the product if I had not contacted them advising them I was not completely satisfied. In addition, I was also automatically enrolled in their membership club and would billed and receive a new jar every month until I notified them to cancel my membership. I immediately called their customer service to explain why I had not been able to contact them by the 15 day time limit. The said the fact I was traveling and did not see their terms and conditions card included with delivered product was not their fault and they would not refund me the additional charge of $87.63 they had ta[redacted] from my credit card. They offered to give me a 50% discount off the price, which I declined. They did cancel my ongoing membership service, which I accepted.Desired Settlement: First, refund of the $87.63. Second, I believe Bella Labs would better serve, and therefore keep, their customers if they included in bold print their terms & conditions (T&C's's )on the ordering page. Additionally they should include on the shipping confirmation email they send to the customer the same T&C's that are on the back of their business card. This way they would eliminate any confusion about their "Membership Club" program. The golden rule...."Don't surprise the customer".

Review: filled out survey and compensation was choice of four things, choose the bellalabs product (anti wrinkle cream) for reward only to discover after 14 days they charged my bank 87.63 of which I did not have in the bank. contacted bellalabs through e-mail, they said they do not accept returned products and the charge stands because it was after the 14 day trial period (which is funny cause I only had the product for three days..)

no way would I have authorized them to charge me 87.63 as I knew I did not have the money to cover it, nowhere did I read that they would do this, I thought it was a free sample (yes I had to pay shipping)

I do not understand why they will not accept an unopened product as a return.

California has a reputation for protecting consumers, how can you help me get my 87.63 back?

I wonder how many ppl they have screwed by this deceptive policy.Desired Settlement: I want my money back before my bank starts charging me 5 dollars a day overdraft!

The consumer would have received an e-mail confirmation of the cancellation and refund. The refund will take three to seven business days to credit back.

Review: This company advertises a "FREE TRIAL OFFER" and in the small print you are charged 14 days later the full price of the product. There is nothing 'FREE" about their deceptive advertising and marketing practices. Also, their customer service voice mail promises a rapid response to messages left, and yet it took several days to get a response after repeated messages. I offered to return the product, unopened by me, and I was informed that would be a waste of my money because they would return it to me.

I also informed customer service I was under the care of a neurologist due to a stroke, and three episodes of amnesia in November, when I was naive enough to take advantage of their "FREE TRIAL OFFER," and offered to send a letter from my Doctor confirming this information. It made no difference to their "CUSTOMER SERVICE."Desired Settlement: The company eventually refunded "half of the charge" being $43.82. I desire to have the other half refunded.

Review: Dear Revdex.com Service,

I have applied a one time free tryout application by providing my credit card information with Bellalabs and LaCreme products. However, they charged me $175.26 ($87.63x2) on 8/02/14, $175.26 on 9/01/14, $175.26 on 10/01/14 and $175.26 on 10/31/14. I called them that they have charged me four times of $175.26 each month without my authorization. They gave me $175.26 credit by returning the shipping packages and refused to credit me the rest of $525.78 (175.26x3) credit card charges. I only agreed to tryout the BellaLabs and LaCreme with free, never placed an order. It is not fair that they charged me monthly without my purchase requests. I hope I will receive the $525.78 refund to my credit card account. This is a business fraud.

Thank you for your time and support.

Sincerely,

[redacted]Desired Settlement: I hope I will receive the $525.78 refund to my credit card account.

Review: I have been my disabled wife's caregiver for about 10 years. Her battle with Alzheimer's is further exacerbated by a skin condition, Rosacea, which turns her face completely red and hot. I responded to Bellalabs online offer in order to try treating my wife's Rosacea, hoping that it might help her.

The "Trial" offer was on https://www.bellalabs.com for “only” $4.95, shipping charges. We could try their cream "Satisfaction Guaranteed" or money back. I placed my order on 1/14/2015 and was almost immediately billed for the $4.95 shipping fee (I have ALERTS on my VISA Card). The shipment arrived on 1/20/2015, at 11:21 AM. Due to caregiver activities, I did not even open the UPS package until 1/26/2015, and still did not even get a chance to try it. On 1/29/2015, I noticed that a charge was placed on my credit card for $87.63. I immediately contacted the company, and was put on HOLD, and then allowed to leave a message, which I did, including my cellphone number. No reply, so I tried calling again 3 hours later. Same scenario, so I left a second message, and I am still waiting.... Tried calling again, for the third time, on 1/30/2015....same scenario, so I left a third message.

Finally, I have had enough....no response to my three messages, so I will be logging this complaint with the Revdex.com. I am extremely displeased with the whole issue, and ask for a complete refund. I will pay the shipping charges to return the product. I have no intention of subscribing to their monthly skin care deliveries, especially since I now know what kind of business activities/policies they practice. It is impossible to do a “TRIAL” within their guidelines...14-day window is a joke. How can anyone do a “TRIAL” when you don't even have their product in hand. So, in other words, the "trial" period started when I didn't even have the product to "try". How is this even legal?Desired Settlement: Full product refund. Remove my name, address, and credit card number from their database immediately. For the future, require them to change their return policy. They cannot call their offer a "trial" if there is no real window to "try" the product. It's a skin cream, not a miracle cream. Having less than 2 full weeks to try a product should not be allowed and they should never be allowed to consider the time of order plus shipping time as part of the the "trial" period. I can't imagine this is legal. It's only a matter of time until businesses like this face a class action lawsuit. Furthermore, their own documentation states “that most customers don't see any improvement until a 3-month “trial” period has elapsed”.... DUH!!!!

Response:

We show the consumer was already refunded due to his previous complaint with the Revdex.com, on 2/6/15. At this time, there is nothing further for Bella Labs to refund.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

Regards,

Review: I saw an advertisement regarding skin creme that [redacted] had authenticated. It advertised a free trial offer for LaCreme Skincare and BellaLab and you only had to pay shipping charge of $4.95. So, I thought that I would try the product and if it worked consider purchasing it. There was never any thing mentioned regarding the fact that I had to order both products, so I place an order for one and payed the shipping cost . It was a free trial offer for 14 days. On October 12, both companies deducted $86.73 almost $180 for skincare. I did not authorize it, had no idea what the cost was and I made it clear via phone that I did not want it. I would ship it back to them, but please replace my funds back into my account. Who would purchase something without even knowing the cost? To make matters worst, I was not given the time to even try the product. The product was shipped and it took five days to receive it. It was delivered on October 2nd! The money was debited from my account on October 12. This is fraudulent, and false advertising.Desired Settlement: I want my money placed back in my account and don't want any further contact with merchants. I also would like other vulnerable customers to be on the alert for poor and devious transactions from companies like these.

At BellaLabs, every customer is given the option to try their first 30 day supply without charge for 10 days after receiving their order. During the 10 days, if the customer is not satisfied with their product, they are to contact customer service via phone or email with a notice of cancellation and the product must be postmarked for return within those 10 days. If the customer keeps their 30 day supply after 10 days from the date of delivery, they are automatically billed for the product and then billed and shipped a new 30 day supply every 30 days thereafter. The customer has the ability to cancel at any time by calling customer service or emailing [email protected]. If a customer needs to contact customer service, the phone number is listed on www.bellalabs.com, the product, the pamphlet that arrives with their order, and the package the product is shipped in. The terms are disclosed clearly on www.bellalabs.com where the customer would have ordered the product. The customer also has to click “I agree to the terms and conditions” twice before the order is processed. If the customer does not click the box to agree with the terms, the order will not process. The terms and conditions are disclosed directly on the ordering website, at the bottom of the first page, and also highlighted in a large white box on the second page where the customer inputs their billing information, as well as sent out with the product. The customer placed the order on 9/24/2015. This is when they paid the initial $4.95 for shipping and handling and this began the trial period to sample from the initial 30 day supply they were sent. Since there was no notification of a request for cancellation and/or a returned product during the allotted time, the customer was automatically billed for the 30 day supply on 10/09/2015 as explained in the terms and conditions which they agreed to. The consumer contacted BellaLabs on 10/14/2015 with a request for cancellation. The account was cancelled immediately as instructed and the customer was sent a cancellation confirmation via email. Based on the nature of the call, the customer service agent refunded the amount of $21.90 that day. Once a refund is processed, it takes 3-7 business days for it to be credited back to the customer’s account. We have refunded the remainder of the amount, $65.73, due to this complaint, however we stand by our policies and we would like to reiterate that our customers accept the terms and conditions two separate times to process their order. We ship the product the day after you place the order (orders placed Saturday-Sunday will be shipped the following Monday). To cancel automatic delivery and billing, please call us at 1-877-767-9942 during normal business hours (Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm PST) or email us at [email protected]. Review: I saw an ad online or on TV for a free 10 day trial of this facial cream. I even did a search on 'is this website safe?" prior to giving them my credit card number. What I neglected to search was whether the company has deceptive business practices, to my loss of $87.63 (times two because of the way this company works). I ordered the cream for a shipping cost of $4.95 on 4/10/2015.

I received the package which I assumed contained a small tube of 10 days worth of cream. Due to my mother being sick and my daughter having pregnancy complications, I did not open the package when it arrived.

Last night, 4/26/15, I checked my online bank statement. There was a charge for $87.63 from Bella labs! When I called them this morning when they opened, Monday,4/27/15, they told me the product is not returnable and the charge unrefundable BECAUSE in the "terms and conditions" on their brochure, it states that if I don't cancel within 10 days of my order (apparently what they mean by 'free 10 day trial' that they will bill me $87.63 for a one month supply, which they claim is what I was sent.

I wish I could send you this brochure or a photo of the box of 'terms and conditions' It is so teeny tiny typeset it is all you can do to read it without a magnifier. While 'normal' size typeset may be something like a little bigger than 1/16" this is half that size.

The worst is that when they sell you the Bella Labs facial cream , they also entice you with a second 'free' trial for LaCreme skin care. So, yes, I was also billed a second $87.63 for that product as well because I didn't read the fine print and cancel within the 10 days.

The product sample arrives about 7 days into the 10 days, just in case a person happened to read this little box, one would unlikely still have time remaining in the 10 days to cancel.

I feel this should be illegal and stopped due to being an extremely deceptive practice.

Thank youDesired Settlement: Stop this company and refund my money and that of many many others duped by this company.

This company says its product is free. Pay 4.95 for shipping. If you do not want future products shipped to you, you must cancel within 14 days of your order date. You barely have time to receive the product before you must decide to cancel or receive more shipments! Then, when you cancel, you are told you must return the "free" product to them. So much for free. Save your time and money. Do not buy from Bella Labs.

Review: I signed up for a trial of BellaLabs anti aging cream and Black Diamond Serum. The advertisement offers 30 days of product trial if you pay for shipping. Apparently, the fine print says that you have to cancel the order within a 14 day trial period. One thing that is not clear is that the 14 days include the shipping time and that you are billed for the initial bottle if you don't cancel within 14 days of placing your order. I received my products within a week. I was under the impression that the trial was free and I would be billed if I decided to continue using the product after the first "trial bottles." When I received the charge for the full product on my bank account 14 days after placing my order, I pulled up the website and it said that customer service is only open Monday - Friday 8 am to 4pm. I decided to call even though it was Sunday. First I spoke to one representative who cancelled my future orders and offered to continue my shipments for only $49.99 per month instead of 87.99 per month. He said that I had missed the deadline by a day and would not receive a refund. After hanging up, I thought it was odd that they were willing to let me continue use of the product for half of what they were selling the product for, so I called back and spoke to a second man. He rudely told me that I did not read the card that was enclosed with my order. I went back to my box and found a card with small print (too small to easily read) that said I had to cancel within 14 days of my order date. The card also said 100% satisfaction guaranteed in large print. Well, I was not 100% satisfied with the product. The man was very rude and told me that he would refund about $40 but I would not receive a full refund because their policy is clearly stated on the website and the card. I asked for a manager during the phone call and was not allowed to speak with one. I honestly thought I was able to cancel before my 30 day sample was done so that I could see if the product worked. I apparently misunderstood their policy and was mislead by the advertisement. He told me that they sold their product to mostly old people and that the policy was in 12 point font. I was obviously mislead by the site or I would not be so upset. I had ordered another product, Black Diamond, at the same time. I called a representative from Black Diamond Serum who immediately said he would refund the full amount because the product did not work for me. I offered to send the Black Diamond bottle back and their representative said that was not necessary. The funny thing is that it was very difficult to find a number for Black Diamond so I thought that company would be the scam. Black Diamond offered a true trial and had very excellent customer service. I feel duped and confused.Desired Settlement: I would like my money refunded.

Review: Ordered a bottle of BellaLabs moisturizer with with my [redacted] card. Product was not good and I had no intention of ordering again. I called and left a message that I wanted to cancel.

[redacted] had a data breach and cancelled my card, after the initial charge but before BellaLabs could hit the card again. I was called by a rep at Bella Labs telling me that they could not charge the number I had provided, and I explained the card had been cancelled, however I was not interested in receiving any more product and had already called to cancel. The rep tried to get me to reconsider and purchase another product as well. I declined and ended the call. That was a number of months ago. I just received collection notice for $35 and have tried to call, but no one answers their phones. I am actually afraid to leave a number for fear they will begin harassing me by phone.

I have told them politely twice that I do not want their product, and I certainly do NOT owe them any money. They need to leave me alone.Desired Settlement: I paid for the trial product, did not like it and cancelled. They have no right to try to charge me for product I have not received and do not want. I want them to leave me alone.

We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused to the customer. The customer's account was closed on 10/16/15. A collection notice was mistakenly sent via a third party. The customer does not owe us any fees for products and we can assure the customer that this will not show on their credit. We have taken the necessary steps to make sure this does not happen again. The customer is welcome to contact us directly if they would like any further information.

Review: My mom and I brought up the BellaLabs web site. It advertised that they would send us a free sample of two products to try. My mom wanted to try it and it was "free," so I clicked on it and gave our information. We did not receive a sample, but rather a month supply of two products. It came with a brochure with "Terms and Conditions" in tiny print, which we failed to read. It explains in the "Terms and Conditions" that my credit card will be billed in the amount of $87.63. Now, we regret the fact that we did not take the time to read the "Terms and Conditions." The next time I got my credit card statement, it was charged two times in the amount of $87.63 for the two items. For whatever reason, my mom never got around to trying out the product. In fact, it has never been touched, used nor opened. Even the thin plastic coating or lining that both products came in is still in new condition on the products. The expiration date on both products is "6/2017," meaning that they can sell it again to another customer. I called BellaLabs and a man told me that we only had 9 days to ship it back (post marked by the 10th day) in order to receive a refund. I explained to him that the product was in perfect, new condition and that it had not even been opened or used in any way. The man said that he was sorry, but that they could not take it back and there would be no refund. The only thing he did was to cancel any future orders of the same products which are automatically sent, so that my card would not be charged any more in upcoming months.Desired Settlement: We would like to return both products for a refund.
