Review: Wish to complain about the deceptive marketing practices. 14 day trial and you are signed up for auto pay. Ordered two products, each having a unique "customer service " number. Requiring extra effort to stop the shipping and billing. Also charged against two separate credit cards, same products shipped from two different locations. Had a total of four different phone numbersDesired Settlement: Would like a refund , product sitting here unopened, company will not accept returns. Inform the public to these deceptive practices

At Bella Labs, every customer is given the option to try their first 30 day supply without charge for the first 14 days from original order. During the 14 days, if the customer is not satisfied with their product, they are to contact customer service via phone or email with a notice of cancellation and the product must be postmarked for return within those 14 days. If the customer keeps their 30 day supply after 14 days from the date of order, they are automatically billed for the product and then billed and shipped a new 30 day supply every 30 days thereafter. The customer has the ability to cancel at any time by calling customer service or emailing [redacted]. If a customer needs to contact customer service, the phone number is listed on [redacted], the product, the pamphlet that arrives with their order, and the package the product is shipped in. The terms are disclosed clearly on [redacted] where the customer would have ordered the product. The customer also has to click “I agree to the terms and conditions” twice before the order is processed. If the customer does not click the box to agree with the terms, the order will not process. The terms and conditions are disclosed directly on the ordering website, at the bottom of the first page, and also highlighted in a large white box on the second page where the customer inputs their billing information, as well as sent out with the product. The customer placed the order on 9/13/15. This is when they paid the initial $4.95 for shipping and handling and this began the trial period to sample from the initial 30 day supply they were sent. Since there was no notification of a request for cancellation and/or a returned product during the allotted time, the customer was automatically billed for the 30 day supply on 9/28/15 as explained in the terms and conditions which they agreed to. The customer was billed for the second shipment on 10/28/15. The consumer contacted BellaLabs on 11/10/15 with their bank representative with a request for cancellation and stated they did not agree to be charged. The account was cancelled immediately as instructed and the customer was sent a cancellation confirmation via email. Based on the nature of the call, the customer service agent refunded the amount of $87.63 that day. Once a refund is processed, it takes 3-7 business days for it to be credited back to the customer’s account. We received a notice from the customers banking institution on 11/18/15 that the customer was disputing the charge. We responded to that notice with the terms and conditions the customer agreed to and the charges/refund the customer had already been given. We stand by our policies and we would like to reiterate that our customers accept the terms and conditions two separate times to process their order. We state the terms and conditions clearly, and send a synopsis card with our contact information, with each order. Terms and conditions are located on all ordering websites, and should be read as they are there for a reason. Please refer to our website, [redacted] or [redacted]. Below is a brief explanation of our terms and conditions:Terms and ConditionsYou will have 14 days from the original order date to decide if BellaLabs is right for you. You must pay a shipping and handling fee of $4.95 for us to send you a full 30 day supply of BellaLabs. We ship the product the day after you place the order (orders placed Saturday-Sunday will be shipped the following Monday). If you are unhappy with the product at any time during those 14 days, you must call us at [redacted] and cancel your order to avoid being billed for the full cost of the product. If you are satisfied with our product, then do nothing and we will bill you $87.63 for your initial order, and every 30 days thereafter we will send you a new 30 day supply of the product for $87.63. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Regards,

While the bare bones of Bella Labs response are accurate, it does not begin to explain the roadblocks we have encountered trying to unravel this situation. name is [redacted] is my wife, I am writing this response in her behalf. She must have supplied her credit card number and pushed the right buttons to have the product shipped. I would contend that the agreement and details of the trial period are in very small print.

Review: The product was supposed to be for a trial offer of $4.95. The customer paid for the shipping of the product. The product is supposed to reduce wrinkles and it does not work. I do not have any signs of improvement. The company charged my charge card in the amount of $87.63 on 3/10/2015 as a reoccurring charge that I was not aware of. I offered to send the product back in order to receive a refund and they do not have an interest.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund for $87.63.

Review: This company and their sister company [redacted] Care utilizes fraudulent advertising to suck customers in. I ordered both products after seeing a pop-up ad for FREE skincare with only $4.95 shipping and handling. They are now charging me $87.63 and $87.63 for 2 months supply of their product. No where on their site FROM THE POP UP AD (which is different than the site that comes up with their domain name) does it say anything other than $4.95. Below is the shipping confirmation they sent me. Packing Slip showed only $4.95 also, just like their pop up ad. BellaLabs Order Confirmation Order Number: [redacted] Ordered On: 04/27/2015 04:53pm Bill to [redacted] Ship to [redacted] Items in Your Order BellaLabs 14 Day Trial Offer (30 Day Supply) FREE GIFT! - Download the [redacted] Fat Loss Solution 160 page E-book weight loss guide at the following link: [redacted] If you have any questions, please contact our helpful customer service t[redacted]. Order Total: $4.95 It was only when I received my credit card statement with the first charge of $87.63 and a second bottle that I realized something was amiss. I called them immediately to return their product for a full refund but they refused to take their product back and they refused to give me a refund. They said that their price and refund policy were stated in their Terms & Conditions. This was a tiny box that didn't scroll or open up to be able to read the contents. Could they have disabled it so customers couldn't see their price? What legitimate business hides their price under Terms & Conditions? This company is guilty of false advertisement and they submitted false documentation to my credit card company for my dispute. I have sent (to my credit co.) copies of Bellalabs' correspondence to me, proving their lies and deceit. I would attach them if there was enough room. Even their order # referenced in my credit of $21.90 had the wrong order number!Desired Settlement: Refund of $87.63 posted 5/12/15 and $65.73 ($87.63 charge posted 6/11/15 less $21.90 partial refund posted 6/22/15). If they are not guilty of misleading their customers, why would they issue me a partial refund? They told my credit card company that they partially refunded me $65.73 and provided false documentation to "back up" their story. The credit card company can see that there is or was no such credit.

Review: I was lured into a "free 14 day trial" with Bella Labs and [redacted] and was lead to believe that this was risk free and all I would have to do is pay $4.99 shipping and handling charge. Today I received two separate bottles from Bella labs and La Creme which I thought was odd since I did not order them. I looked on the brochure that was sent with the bottles and in fine print it said that I was charged $87.63. I called the company immediately to see why I was being sent the product and they informed me that I signed up for a subscription when I paid for the shipping and handling of the "free 14 day trial" that was not in fact free! The representative told me that I was charged $87.63 for that bottle when I didn't call to cancel. WHAT A SCAM. I realize now that the terms and condition box that you check off when giving your cc for the shipping is ultimately scamming you into a very expensive subscription but this is not what you are led to believe based on the way they advertise the free trial. This company seems to be really shady and misleading. After arguing on the phone the representative agreed to cancel my account and issue a refund for the bottle they just sent, but I want a refund for the "trial offer" bottle that they charged me for after the 14 days! There's no way I would have ever "tried" this lotion if I knew I would have to pay $87.63 for it, I thought it was a Free sample as their website misleads you to believe.Desired Settlement: A refund of $87.63 charged on 3/13 was issued today per the representative I spoke to, however

I would like the $87.63 that was charged on 2/12 to be refunded as well!

Review: My complaint is that this business's website is misleading (unless you read the terms and conditions that follow the main page." You can wind up paying $87.63 for trying this product if you do not read the "fine print". When I called, the representative said this information was also on the containers sent but it wasn't. I, therefore, got busy after receiving item until it was too late to return said item and my credit card was charged.Desired Settlement: I just wanted others to not be taken in by this type of advertising. Thank you.

Review: I ordered the free trial product and was charged 4.95 for the shipping of product on January 9, 2016. I was then charged $87.63 January 24, 2016. However, I have not received the product. I called Bellalabs on Feb 11 stating this and asking for a refund for a product I did not receive. They proceeded to say that I did receive the product. They gave me a tracking number but the package did not require a signature. Postal service says it was delivered but without a signature they are unable to tell me if it was possibly delivered to the incorrected address. I called Bellalabs back and stated that I did not receive the package and since they charged me for a product that I didn't receive, I wanted a refund. All they did was basically accuse me of lieing and stated that I did receive the product.

I am just seeking a refund for $87.63 plus 4.95 for a product I have not received.Desired Settlement: A refund of $92.58 that I was charged for a producty that I didnt receive

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and although it is obvious to me that Bellalabs does not practice good business ethics in my opinion, I will accept their offer. I would like to clarify that I understood the terms and conditions. I did not receive the product to even try but was still billed for it and charged shipping. I will wait for the business to perform this action of a refund of $87.63 and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

Regards,

Review: Advertised as a free sample, I received sample, then this company took $87.63 from my bank account, without warning, no invoice, no billing. They just debited it from my account.

What is worse, on my bank statement it says, ‘recurring debit card’ $87.63.

My money was taken on 7/26/15 and I called on 8/15/15 as soon as I was made aware of the debit. The company called me back saying they cancelled my account.

When I called again on 8/19/15 and spoke with [redacted], she said the best she could do was give me 25% off of the 87.63. I asked to speak to a supervisor, she put me on hold and the line went dead 4 minutes later.

This unopened, shrink-wrapped box of Bella Labs Facial Cream is sitting next to me on my desk now. Even though my call was made only 21 days after Bella Labs took the money was taken from my bank account, this company said they would not let me return this unopened product.Desired Settlement: I am a month overdue on my health insurance and need this money to pay it right away, so it will not be cancelled. I am hoping that I will receive the funds in time, and want to have $87.63 back in my account.

The consumer contacted BellaLabs on 8/17/15 with a request for cancellation. The account was cancelled immediately as instructed and the customer was sent a cancellation confirmation via email. The customer contacted us again on 10/26/15 requesting the cancellation date of her account. Review: The company advertises on [redacted] claiming they'll send you a "free one-month trial" of their anti-aging cream, if you pay the S&H. When you get the product, you have 10 days to return it or pay $87.63. I called customer service and spoke with a supervisor. She ([redacted]) said, "You have to read the fine print." To me, this is false advertising. Now I have to pay for the postage to send this product back to BellaLabs, on top of the shipping I had to pay in the first place.Desired Settlement: I would like my money back for all of the shipping costs.

Review: I ordered a sample of this company's product, on a trial basis and have decided to return the unused portion as they suggest on their business card in order to avoid paying $87.xx once a month to belong to their skin care club. I have tried calling and emailing several times but have not been able to reach an actual person from this company. When I email them, I am led to some other skin care company even though I typed in www.BellaLabs.com I called that company (who sells "Velve" skin cream) and they told me they had never heard of BellaLabs. I also noticed that they charged me $87.66 on 4/28 which was not the 15th day of the trial. They indicate on their website and business card that you will receive a charge on your credit or debit account in that amount only on the 15th day after the trial begins and technically, it was not the 15th day. I ordered the sample online on 4/14/2014. Then I waited at least a week before I even received the product to try out. So it is unfair and misleading advertisement and charges that have led me to this complaint.Desired Settlement: I would like for them to accept the unused portion of the product (according to their policy) and a refund in the amount of $87.66 and to stop future charges from my checking account.

Review: It was advertised that "If you answer this short survey, you get a free gift". I answered the survey, the free gift was sent to me. Then I found out I was charged $87.63 for the free gift, and each subsequent month I was charged $87.63. When you call them, they have tons of reasons and "fine prints" to prevent any refund or return, because by the time you see the charge, it is already beyond their return period.Desired Settlement: I want to return the product and get the refund. Review: I received an email for a free trial that I had to only pay for shipping for face creams, on the web site that thee mail linked me to did not clearly mention that I had 14 days to cancel or my account would be charged $87.63. I am a mother with a special needs child and don't always have to time to read all the fine prints on a web site. I called this company and ask for a refund because not only wasn't,s I prepared to spend $87.63 but also I find that the product did not do anything for me, [redacted] and [redacted] products are way cheaper and I can see results with them but with this product I cannot see any results and therefore I would like a refund. Please do not let companies like this take money they don't deserve from people.Desired Settlement: Refund of $87.63

Review: I ordered a trial of the creme and no where was it displayed that it was a 14-day trial from the date of order. I was subsequently charged $87 on day 15, and the company was unwilling to work with me regarding refunding the product. I told them the product was unopened and unused and they still refused to let me return it. This company is completely unethical. Nor did I receive an email or any other correspondence indicating when my product was ordered and when the "free" trial began.Desired Settlement: I would like the opportunity to return my product and receive a full refund.

Review: I ordered two 14-day trial offers that were advertised together for the cost of

shipping, at $4.95 each, one was La Creme Face Cream and the other was

BellaLabs Face Cream. On 9/26/14 BellaLabs processed an $87.63 charge to

my bank card. On 9/27 I tried to contact BellaLabs through their

support option on their website, and e-mailed my complaint.

I explained that I had not signed up for a recurring shipment, only for the 14 day trial offer, and that I had just

received the creme 6 days prior and expected to use for 14 days. I also requested they remove me from they recurring order addition.

I was told the $87.63 monthly recurring charge is listed in their terms and conditions (they attached a copy in their e-mail response)

and the charge was for the jar I had already received. I offered to return the jar, to which they did not respond. I have submitted a similar BB complaint on LaCreme.

These charges also caused my bank account to be overdrawn, 2x!Desired Settlement: I think it is their responsibility to credit my account and create a more visible and/or clearer advertisement explanation of their "terms".

I would also like to have my bank charges reimbursed. (2 overdrafts charges of $25 each, = $50).

This felt very much like a scam and they should not be able to continue this ad.

Review: 4/3 when I make payment on Peco website a pop up advertisement showed a "Free Sample Trail with only $4.95 shipping cost", then I clicked the advert. and try to get the Free sample so provide my information. 4/8 received sample. 4/18 charged by Bellalabs.com for $87.63. And I tried ~4/24 to call Hotline which I try to explain to the customer representative my situation maybe I am too nervous on the money the representative so mean to me and hand me up. I told to my son and he recommend me to talk to my card company and they help me to dispute the transaction which $87.63 is so much to me. 5/31 card company told me I have to contact Bellalabs to cancel the membership, then I called with my son on Jun-6 at noon which a good lady representative help this time and she told me she cannot refund since I filed dispute for that transaction also my account and membership has been closed on 5/13 automatically. Then I ask if I cancel the dispute and return the unopened sample with returning shipping at my cost are they able to refund my money back, she said she will ask her supervisor to explain detail to me on 6/6 before 4:00pm pacific time. I am waitng till now which still none from Bellalabs.com contact me again to help me. I really hope Bellalabs can help me as I am too old to check all the little fonts for the term and condition, which I saw the big font with high light "Free Trail" and this is attracted my sight and thinking the condition is all about the non-refundable of shipping cost.Desired Settlement: Bellalabs.com accepted me to return unopened sample which I can pay for shipping cost and get full refund from Bellalabs

The customer was charged for the product on 4/18/14 when the 14 day trial for Bella Labs ended. The customer had to agree to the terms and conditions of the trial when the order was originally placed. The customer filed a dispute with their bank or credit card company in lieu of contacting us about the charge. The customer's bank or credit card processed the dispute and at that time we provided the information about the customers order to them. In return, the customer's bank or credit card company reviewed the terms and conditions listed on our website and at that time, the customer lost the dispute. Because the dispute was lost, we are no longer able to refund the charge back to the customer as the customer is requesting. The account has been closed since 5/13/14.

Review: Bellalabs has a trail offer that if you accept at the first offer (rather than scrolling to the bottom of the page) you don't see the terms and conditions. The terms and conditions say that if you don't call them to discontinue within 14 days that they will bill you the full price for it of $87.63, and if you do a trial of both products then it's $87.63 X2. Because I purchased at the first offer spot I didn't see this information (and based on the complaints with Revdex.com, many people have not seen it)So I purchased it for the trial offer of 4.95 and after the 14 days my account was billed $87.63 X 2 and then they did so again this month so a total of $350.52. I called the first time today 9/30/2013 and was told by [redacted], to bad, my issue but she'd see what she could do for me. She came back on and said they'd agreed to charge me only half the amount for each of them (for the month of September) so $87.63 and would not refund anything for August, so still of a total of $262.89. I then went on to Revdex.com and checked them out and they have numerous complaints. I called back and got [redacted], he stated that they would refund the entire amount for September, but nothing for August.Desired Settlement: I'd like not only September refunded, which they have said they will do, but at least half of Augusts bill as well. Also, they should modify their web page and stated it on the order page in large letters the time frame one has to notify of lack of interest. It's set up the way it is because they steal lots of money from a lot of people before they know whats happened.

Review: June 03, 2013, I used the facial cream and got a rash on my face. My main complaint is with the unauthorized use of my credit card for 87.63. BELLALABS WAS AUTHURIZED BY ME TO TAKE 4.95 FROM MY CREDIT CARD FOR A BOTTLE OF FACIAL CREAM. THE 4.95 WAS FOR SHIPPING A THIRTY DAY TRIAL OFFFER OF THE FACIAL CREAM TO ME. BELLALABS TOOK THE $4.95 ON 5/14/2013, and ON 5/29/2013 BELLALABS TOOK $87.63 FROM MY CREDIT CARD WHICH I DID NOT AUTHORIZE. THE FACIAL CREAM WAS MAILED ON 5/13/2013 VIA THE UNITED STATES POSTAL SERVICE. THE ENVELOPE DID NOT CONTAIN A BILLING STATEMENT OR INSTRUCTIONS. IT TOOK 3 TO 5 DAYS FOR DELIVERY OF THE FACIAL CREAM TO ME SO; 5/13/2013 TO 5/29/2013 IS NOT 30 DAYS. BELLLABS MADE MY CREDIT CARD GO OVER THE LIMIT ALLOWED BY MY BANK. Review: This company uses deceptive and fraudulent advertising practices. They have internet links advertising a free, no risk trial for their face cream of only $4.95 for shipping and handling. The initial link you purchase from DOES NOT state that you are signing up for a start of a monthly subscription. So it comes as quite a surprise when you get a charge for almost $90 a month later. They have a standard response claiming that the terms were clearly stated on their website. They may be clearly stated on one of their websites, but they have other links that do not. Their product is not even good. If the product was good they would not need to rely on predatory advertising practices to make money.Desired Settlement: I want a full refund. I have been charged but still have not received the package. I will return it to sender unopened as soon as I get it. I don't want to read a reply from the company stating their formulaic legal response. They clearly are deceiving consumers, otherwise they would not have so many Revdex.com complaints. I am also filing complaints with the Federal Trade Commission and the State of California Attorney General's office.

At Bella Labs every customer is given the right to try their first 30 day supply without charge for the first 14 days. After the 14 day trial period, if the customer is unsatisfied with their product, they are to return the remainder postmarked for return within their 14 day trial period and also contact customer service to notify a request for cancellation. If the customer keeps their 30 day supply after the 14 days, they are automatically billed for their product on the 15th day and then automatically shipped and billed a product every 30 days thereafter. The customer has the ability to cancel at anytime by calling customer service or emailing [email protected]. If a customer needs to contact customer service, the phone number is listed on bellalabs.com, the product, the pamphlet, and the package the product is shipped in. The terms are disclosed clearly on bellalabs.com where the customer would have ordered their product. The customer has to also click "I agree to the terms and conditions" twice before the order is processed. If the customer does not "agree" to the terms, the order will not process. The terms and conditions are disclosed directly on the ordering website not only on the bottom of the first page, but also highlighted in a large white box on the second page where the customer inputs their card information as well as sent out with the product.

Review: Deceptive advertising of two companies bellalabs and La creme skin care and then immediately charging to visa by both companies. Inspite of cancelling next day they both shipped merchandise.Desired Settlement: Need to stop such scammers on line.

At BellaLabs, every customer is given the option to try their first 30 day supply without charge for 10 days after receiving their order. During the 10 days, if the customer is not satisfied with their product, they are to contact customer service via phone or email with a notice of cancellation and the product must be postmarked for return within those 10 days. If the customer keeps their 30 day supply after 10 days from the date of delivery, they are automatically billed for the product and then billed and shipped a new 30 day supply every 30 days thereafter. The customer has the ability to cancel at any time by calling customer service or emailing [email protected]. If a customer needs to contact customer service, the phone number is listed on www.bellalabs.com, the product, the pamphlet that arrives with their order, and the package the product is shipped in. The terms are disclosed clearly on www.bellalabs.com where the customer would have ordered the product. The customer placed the order on 4/17/2015. This is when they paid the initial $4.95 for shipping and handling and this began the trial period to sample from the initial 30 day supply they were sent. The consumer contacted BellaLabs on 4/17/2015 with a request for cancellation. The account was cancelled immediately as instructed and the customer was sent a cancellation confirmation via email. Based on the nature of the call, the customer service agent refunded the amount of $4.95 that day which cancelled out their entire order. Once a refund is processed, it takes 3-7 business days for it to be credited back to the customer’s account. The consumer then made another call to customer service on 4/22/2015 explaining they had received the cancelled order anyhow. We explained to the customer that due to these trial orders being time sensitive material, we process orders very quickly to ensure no delays. The consumer was instructed to refuse the package so that it is properly returned at no extra cost. It was also reiterated on the recorded phone call that the original charge for shipping and handling had been refunded in full and was currently being processed. Please refer to our website, www.bellalabs.com or www.bellalabs.com/main/index.php.
