I filed a Revdex.com complaint against this company over a month ago about honoring their refund policy in regards to their defective product and they promised a refund of $145 in regards to my meat purchase. They have still not sent my check with multiple promises via email.

I stopped at the truck after seeing a promotion of 20 ribeye steaks for $30, but I was upsold to a meat bundle package (he even threw in 2 free chicken boxes) that cost $189 from Mall Mega Meat Market.

I believed I was buying quality meat. Not the case. The burger patties did not look like burger or taste like burger. My children & I had stomach issues after eating it.
I am afraid to cook & eat anything else that I got.

The refund department has to issue you a refund check which will be mailed to you. On 10/3 your receipt was sent over to the refund department for the processing of your refund as promised to you in response of receiving your receipt. Unfortunately this process takes longer than a day, as this complaint was made on 10/5/19 to issue you a full refund check via certified mail. Our sincerest apologies that this process has taken so long but we assure you that your refund check will arrive via certified mail no later than Friday 10/11/19.

Please read the reviews- I just started claim with my credit card & would with FDA if I can- this is God awful- company was pulling it out of their mouths - so embarrassing

The absolute worse meat . I bought the 10 rib eyes for twenty and was charged twenty -two. I was not given a receipt and once I got home I realized he over charged me. The radio ad was 10 for 20. There is not tax on food items so I have no idea why the twenty dollar deal cost me twenty -two. The meat is so tough and has a weird smell to it that I had to throw it out. So glad I didnt fall for spending more. I see here they claim to give a flyer to everyone who purchases. I asked for one and was told to take a picture with my phone of the laminated one they had out. What a complete joke.

Purchased beef and chicken from truck at Portland Maine mall. Ate 2 different steaks first night after purchase and 2 different chicken the next night. These meat products (if you can even call them that) are disgusting at best. Small, grisly, foul smelling when thawed, and the taste doesn't taste like any or chicken I have ever had. It is horrible. I asked for a receipt but seller was unable to provide one. I live over an hour away and cannot get back there within 3 days of purchase. Plus I was refused a receipt. I have a copy of my debit card transaction from my bank. I have emailed (no reply) and sent a facebook message (unanswered). I want a full refund for this unedible, junk meat that is a scam!

We are terribly sorry to hear that you are unhappy with your purchase. Unfortunately we are unable to issue you a refund as the sale in Portland was and still is open at the time of your purchase. Unfortunately we have a strict refund policy.

I was fairly skeptical on these steaks worried I just blew 120 bucks on horse meat. But I threw one in the sink let it thaw . Put some butter in the pan and cooked it up. Was pretty decent not the best steak I have had and definitely not the worse.price to quality ratio is what you should expect I would buy them again

I purchased a whole box of select homestead steaks and they are so tough you cant even chew them. Very grisly.

I'd give them a zero if I could. Heard the radio ad for 20 steaks for $25 but was talked into more (given a deal?!?) Meat was horrible quality- like chewing shoe leather. And that which wasn't chewy meat was the worst gristle running through almost all of the meat. Most beef jerky I've had is more tender and edible. Mark it up to a lesson learned. Guess they don't want to build up a returning customer base.

Response to my first remark: Stating that the meat is USDA inspected and approved only means that it passes for being edible(?) for human consumption; you don't say anything about its grade from USDA. If Homestead Steaks takes pride in this extremely poor quality of edible leather then they need to re-evaluate their level of pride. I am not the only one that feels this way. Almost all (over 90%) of the reviews I have read are consistent with my statement and are extremely dissatisfied. What I believe is these are pop-up shops to unload floor clippings in a way to maximize their profits. Could also be that they buy the worst possible cattle. Just my opinion from what I tried to eat.

I purchased meat from your truck on 7/3 in St George, UT. We had family come over on the 4th for a big BBQ and I purchased the meat for it. We cooked the fillets and all 8 where fatty and very tough. Needless to say we through them out and tried the rib eyes again they were so full of gristle and fat we through them away at at 9:00 we went to the store and bought steaks to eat. So tonight we tried the center cuts and they was worse than the others. I expect something done about this. I expect a call to discuss when you will have my refund. I also will be at my bank tomorrow and file all the paperwork with them. You are a fraud company. I don’t know where you got this crap from but to try to sell it to consumers is ridiculous. I will be filing reports with the Revdex.com as well as on ***. I will be expecting your call.

All of our products are USDA inspected and approved. We sell these same products to thousands of customers all our the US and have very few complaints as a whole. Once again we apologize for your unhappiness with the product you purchased.

They charged me $289 for a $25 dollar box of meat. The representative was so fast , did not have me sign for the transaction and quickly went on to the next customer that I did not notice he rang me up for a different price advertised. I am due $289.00 which was charged to my debit card.

I heard an advertisement that you had a good deal on meats. I went to the location indicated and purchased a family pack of various meats plus 20 ribeye steaks for $25 totaling $185. After getting them home I noticed the steaks were really thin and I cooked a few pieces of the ribeye steaks. They did not look premium, they look inedible and didn't taste good. I don't feel comfortable eating anymore.

The customer purchased the product on 7-1-2019. The first email to the company was on 8-2-2019. The customers are given flyers at the tent that states the refund policy.Our refund policy is 3 day 100% customer satisfaction.The customer did not email until 30 days.After reviewing the above mentioned case, we would like to offer a refund of $100 to the customer.Please advise on the next step to resolve this case.Thank youHomestead Steaks LLC™

On Friday I purchased $177 in steaks from Homestead Meats at the Johnson City TN mall. The man who sold me the steaks stated they were fresh and "the best quality steaks". I also received a box of chicken as well for purchasing the family pack. On Sunday afternoon we thawed 5 steaks to cook on the grill. When I opened the packages the meat had a green look to it and smelled awful. My sister in law put the steaks on the grill and the smell was worse. I would not even give them to my dog. I tried to call the number listed but it says not a working number. I purchased the larger box for the 4th of July. I will have to go buy steaks at a local place to have for family coming from out of town. I put the meat in a cooler with ice and thentook the meat straight home and put it in a freezer and it was still frozen when I placed it in my freezer. I have read other complaints on here and they are talking about needing a receipt. I never received a receipt not were there any flyers at the tent/truck. I do however have the amount charged to my debit card. I would like a refund please. I can send the rotten meat back you you if you would like. I will also be contacting my credit union as well. This is very bad business practices to sell the consumer bad meat. I don't believe that with all the complaints on here you can not know there is something wrong here. I will also be telling anyone and everyone about your meat.

We apologize that you are unhappy with your purchase. All of products are USDA inspected and approved. You should have received a receipt and a flyer at purchase. Had you returned your purchase back to the tent regardless of you lack of receipt to show the specialist the condition of your purchase they would have been more than happy to exchange it for you. Unfortunately, since you have already contacted your credit card company we cannot issue you a refund at this time. Once again our apologies.

Was sold steaks and was promised highest quality products that were as good as Omaha Steaks. Quality of the meat was substandard and full of grizzle. Company has failed to respond to any complaints or request for refunds.

I am rejecting this response because:
There was absolutely no return policy provided by this company. Neither the salesman, Package nor the website provides any return policy by this company. No receipt was even provided at time of sale. The steaks were not eaten for several weeks, however when the first ones were thawed and grilled, they were grey, not pink or red, and did not smell properly. The salesman swore they were as good as Omaha Steaks. That was clearly untrue. It is ironic that this company did not respond to our complaints and multiple emails until the charges were disputed with our credit card company today.

Unfortunately we had an employee whose responsibility was customer service. They were terminated due to their refusal to do their duties appropriately. Upon termination they changed access to our customer service email disabling us access to it. Customer purchased their product on 5-11-2019.The first email to the company was 6-11-2019.The customers are given at the tent flyers that have the return policy stated on them.The 3 day 100% customer satisfaction window had expired by the time the 1st email was sent. 30 days had gone by before the customer had an issue.According to our policy, we followed the guidelines for the refund criteria.After reviewing the above mentioned case, we would like to offer a refund of $195 to the customer.Please advise on the next step to resolve this case.Thank youHomestead Steaks LLC

we purchased a 'Beef Steak Variety Pack' from a truck at the *** on 6/9/19. We were skeptical and rightfully so. The first 'steak' we had was the 'boneless New York strip steaks' - they were very thin and had a funny texture, we then tried the 'Beef Patties' YUCK!!! did not look or taste anything like ground beef! Again, a very funny texture. Thought, OK let's try the "boneless Beef Filets' - again, not at all what beef should look and taste like! Very pale in color and almost a rubbery texture... Did you try returning your purchase to the location that you purchased it from within 3 days of the purchase date? We have no record or a phone call or several phone calls made unless there is another number you used that we may verify with the phone company? We are trying to be fair and do all the research we can to make sure the previous employee that was in the customer service position didn't just ignore calls or emails made by our customers. AGAIN I called numerous times and left numerous messages. I sent an email. I went on your web page and left a 'review' (not in your favor - social media is wonderful). The quality of this 'meat' was the worst I have ever eaten. And for a 'business' to take months to reply to a complaint is unacceptable!

I bought these steaks today and went straight home to thaw them out. The guy said they were fresh and they even looked great until the packages are opened. Completely horrid smell and couldn’t even stand to cook them. Immediately threw out the $189 box of meat the next day as I couldn’t even stand to look at it anymore and the truck to take back the box of meat was already out of town where you were supposed to go for a refund. All the packages were smelling of the same rotten smell.

I purchased meat from this company from a truck that was located in our area. We didn't get to use it until 3 days after the purchase and we found the meat to inedible (not sure type of meat product). There was no way to return the meat, they had left. Please help.

After a detailed search through our customer service email which is provided on the flyer given to the customer at the tent there was no point of contact from the customer to us at anytime after purchase. we require proof of purchase for any refund requested. If the customer had tried to contact us and provided proof of purchase we would have resolved this with the customer at the first point of contact. The customer may submit their receipt to our customer service email and may be eligible for a portion of the refund requested.

I heard on the radio about Omaha steaks Ribeyes 20 for $25. I saw the tent that was advertising the meat sale and it said OMAHA steaks, located in *** . They also had a radio station. So I though this must be ligit . I went on Friday , May 17th and inquired about the ribeyes I saw a laminated flyer on the table and I then told about a bunch of bundles. I walked away with $160 worth of steaks. , thinking it was OMAHA steaks. . I had purchased OMAHA steaks before and was pleased and great quality. When I get home I noticed the box doesn't say anything about OMAHA steaks. In fact I look at my receipt, it says HOMESTEAD. I called the number but its some woman saying leave a message and will get back. Not even a business name. So I thought well maybe I will cook a steak and see how it is. So far false advertisement and now the quality of meat is not good for the price I paid. I want my money back.

Homestead Stead Steaks does not operate or claim to be Omaha Steaks. We do not false advertise the name of our company. We can not issue a refund to this customer.

I don’t even know how this place is in business. I have tried contacting them via email twice with no luck to get a refund because the meat is inedible. The truck left our area the day after purchase.

The customer filed this complaint on 5/13/19 and did not make contact with our company until 5/14/19. The customer was responded to via our customer service email within 60min of receipt of their email and was sent a copy of our refund policy. The customer never issued proof of purchase.

bought meat from a truck in mall parking lot / think it was a set up / paid half price and got extra meat / should have figured out it was not above board / ran my card 194.50 and said machine was offline and had to run it on another machine / got receipt for 1 purchase / my card got charged twice

Super gross Mystery Meat.. Spent $150.00 on Beef and now are feeding it to our dogs.. We even questioned that? NEVER buy meat from a tent in a parking lot. Its embarrassing even typing this out. Looks great frozen but when you defrost its a whole different story. YUK
