I bought the chicken package, the rib-eyes, and fillets from this company at a drop location in Reno, NV. A few days after the purchase we cooked some of the rib-eyes and they where very fatty. The next day we cooked the fillets and they were okay. The following day we made the chicken and it smelled odd when we were preparing it. We we went to eat it the texture was like rubber and our dog would not even eat it. I am thinking that the chicken was not froze properly and was rotting.

We would have been more than happy to refund you had you brought it back to the tent within 3 days of purchase with original packaging and a receipt. This return policy is clearly stated on the flyers given to each customer as well as on the receipt. We are very strict with this policy for many reasons, but mainly because we cannot control how the meat is kept once it leaves our possession. I would be happy to give you a partial refund seeing as it is past the timeframe alotted for a full refund. I am rejecting this response because:

I did not receive a flyer nor a receipt. I was told a receipt would be text messaged to me and I never received it. I was not told to keep the packaging and I was not told there was only a 3 day window to return the items purchased. I will not accept a partial refund. As stated I am more than happy to return the meat I have back to you at your expense. All of the meat has been store in a freezer from the time I got it. I am very careful about food safety and always use a meat thermometer to insure the meat is cooked properly. The fact that this meat could have been sitting out for 3 day from another customer and then returned and refroze is alarming. This is a health issue because the meat is obvious rotten.

We do not request it be returned in 3 days because we resell it, we follow all health department guidelines and all laws. We ask that it be returned with the aforementioned criteria simply because there are countless companies that do a similar concept in the same locations, with the same product, they even use our same advertisement and we are not affiliated with them in any way. Each customer is handed a flyer when they walk into the tent, that's what they order off of. Also, each customer is asked at point of sale if they would like their receipt text or emailed to them, and then they receive it immediately. If you did not receive one due to a incorrect phone number or email, he simply could have resent it to you. I am happy to send you a partial refund, but I cannot issue you a full refund.

Again, I did not receive a flyer or receipt. When I walked into the tent there was not even an employee present. About 5 minutes after standing there waiting a man walked out of the trailer to help me. He showed me all the options on a mat he had on the table. When he asked for my phone number he repeated it back to me and it was correct and I never received a receipt. I live 30+ miles away from the tent sale and I was not going to drive 30+ mile to get a receipt. I have attached a copy of the posted transactions to my credit card to insure to you that this purchase was made with your company. If I would have know the return policies I would have followed them, however your employees do not mention anything about a return policy and I not receive a flyer.

Hello! We are sorry you were unhappy with your purchase! We would have been more than happy to give you a full refund had you brought it back to the tent you purchased from within 3 days of purchase. You would have needed to provide original packaging and a receipt or proof of purchase. This refund policy is very clearly written on our receipts as well as the flyers that are given to each customer when they enter the tent. Since it is significantly past the 3 day time frame, we would be happy to send you a partial refund if you can provide proof of purchase, as there are many companies that do this very same concept.

You have responded to me the same exact way every single time I've written you. Clearly you are not reading what I am writing. I did not receive a receipt, I did not receive a flyer, and your sales representative did not explain any return policy. I will not accept a partial refund. This is a health concern and needs to be addressed. If a dog would not eat the meat there is clearly something wrong with it.

This is an awful business. The meat is tough and not what they advertise it is. The 20 for 25 ribeyes are the exact steak you can buy at the Dollar Store! Not even kidding! I am so mad that I fell for this! We tried to cook one of the tbones tonight and it was too tough to chew. They need to be ashamed if themselves for selling this stuff they are calling meat!

It doesn't necessarily void the return policy. You would be refunded based on the amount of product you returned as long as you have a receipt and all original packaging and it's returned within 3 days of purchase.

June 1, 2018 purchased a beef pack, $189.00. Lured in by the rib eye special posted on the tent and truck. Upon opening the first pack of ribeyes, I realized I had been taken for a ride. The ribeye was very thin and fell apart just taking it out of the package, opened another ribeye, same bad result. next day I opened a NY Strip and cooked it on my gas grill. I could not eat this meat, flavor was off like it had been refrozen, felt ill the rest of the night until my body disposed of it. Buyer Beware! I would like a refund of the purchase price.

We are happy to refund you as long as you have proof of purchase and all original packaging. You must bring it back to the tent it was purchased from within 3 days of purchase. This policy is printed on the flyers that are handed to each customer as they walk in as well as the customer receipt. We are happy to refund you!

I just bought 2 cases of the ribeyes. Seemed like a great price. My first question I asked was if they were injected, the guy said no. He said they were 100% grassfed..blah blah blah. I couldn"t wait to try it. Fell apart in skillet and tasted like sugar. I looked at the box and they are loaded with sugar and injected with sodium..30% of that skimpy steak! I went back to the tent furious. I might have been a lil rude. I regret that,the waste of time and an upset stomach. They guy refunded my credit card, at least I hope so!!! They are nice guys, but don't lie to me to sell me food!! Did I mention I was a chef? Bummed!!!

Not recommended for consumption.

On 4/20/18 I purchased a meat bundle for $280 form the Homestead Meat Tent at the ***. I was skeptical but assumed it was legit because of several radio advertisements. I was shown the product at the time of purchase but realized upon opening on 4/22/18 that I was duped. I was shown individual packaged steaks that were a reasonable size however when I opened it, I realized there were 2 small, thin steaks in each package. On 4/23/18 I tried the chicken. Again small portions disguised in sauce to make the package bigger. Once cooked, the chicken was oily & tasteless. On 4/25/18 I emailed Homestead requesting to return the bundle because of its POOR QUALIFY. I was advised it was only returnable for 3 days w/ the original receipt. I was NOT provided a receipt at the time of my purchase.

Our return policy is stated on the flyers that each customer gets when entering the tent, as well as printed on the receipt. We are happy to refund as long as it's within 3 days of purchase, you have the original receipt or proof of purchase and the original packaging. You must have some type of proof of purchase when returning, as there are several companies that sell the same product and do the same concept. I would be happy to send a partial refund, but I cannot fully refund.

We purchased these steaks on 7/4/2017, we were told we had 30 day money back guarantee, 100% customers satisfaction of the product. When we went to return the product on 7/8/2017 Homestead Steaks, LLC were no longer in business at their location at the ***. How do we suppose to return the product when they closed their doors? I have used their website to find out how I am to return the product we are not satisfied with, the quality of the steaks are very poor, when we did try to have a nice dinner with the rib eye steaks, I got sick from the smell and taste of the steak. I sent my 1st email to them using their website www.homesteadsteaks.com on 7/9/2017, again on 7/20, 7/31, 8/10, 8/21, 9/14 and 10/10 still as of today's date have not received any responses. I have contacted Chase dispute department regarding this matter, my 1st contact with Chase was at the end of July- I have been in contact with Chase for assistance on how to get ahold of Homestead steaks we feel this was a scam and we are out $175.00. As of 1/8/2018 Chase said that there is nothing they can do because we still have possession of the merchandise, I tried to explain to the supervisor again that there is no place of business for me to return them to and I have asked over and over again for assistance to resolve this issue and have not received any help from their company - is this really fair? I have on numerous occasions try reaching out to Homestead Steaks, received no responses. I have on numerous occasions been in contact with my credit card company, Chase visa asking them to tell me what my rights are as a customer being scammed and following all the proper steps they had asked me to. I was in contact with the Revdex.com today, speaking with a representative that was able to locate a phone number of 417-540-7370 for Homestead Steaks, I called this number it is no longer in business. As a consumer I really feel we got scammed out of $175.00 and would appreciate any assistance you could give us to recover our loss.

We do not have a 30 day guarantee, we have a 3 DAY return policy that is posted on the receipts that are given to the customers. They are able to return product as long as they provide a receipt of purchase and their original packaging.

We do not have a stationary store, we travel to all malls across the U.S. Our setup is a 20x20 tent and a 26ft reefer truck. So it isn't that we 'weren't in business' when she came to the tent, we were only allowed at that location a certain amount of time due to our permits, etc. I have not come across any messages from Gloria on our website, as they come directly to our email. We do not have a company telephone number, we have our email. The company phone number she listed in her complaint is a very OLD phone number we used to have.

I am rejecting this response because: When I originally purchased these steaks on 7/4/2017, I was texted a receipt which I have previously provided showing a return policy within 7 days of original purchase. When I went to return the product on 7/8/2017 they were no longer in business at this location. On the receipt it had provided a email address, when I had pulled up this email address on 7/9/2017 to research how to get in contact with the company it advertised a guarantee of 30 days or your money back. As of today,s date when pulling up this website, https://homesteadsteaks.com they are showing a different logo and nothing of guarantee of their products. In the reviews for this company there is showing several unhappy customers and concerns about the quality of food. I am requesting a full refund of my $175.00, I was scammed. I did everything I was to do to return the product and will be happy to still return the product as I am unsatisfied with the quality of food. Why would a company go and change their website and logo after they started getting complaints?

She says they were “told” they had a 30 Day money back guarantee….. but I’m not sure who told them that. Our return policy is within 3 days and is clearly stated on a sign at the table they purchase from as well as the receipts. I have never seen any customer service emails from her in our email that is also on the receipts. I am not sure how she go our old phone number. This has been a disconnected phone for a long time, as we only have email for customers. I would be happy to give her a partial refund since it is past the 3 days if she would like

Stopped in and bought the rybeyes they were the best there family party packs are what made me a returning customer for life! They have steak family packs chicken family packs pork and seafood family packs as well I bought one of each they set me up for the whole year and the salesman who sold it to me was very handsome he was a skinny Mexican with a cowboy hat. The steaks are to die for!

bought their "family pack" of steaks. They beat the price at the grocery store so I figured why not. Me and a few friends grilled the steaks and they were great!! I can't wait till they come around next year!

The steaks are *** so that means that this company is *** to too bad if that offended you but the beef jerky I buy is thicker . You can't bbq them. And where's the rib eye . Lol

Absolutely a scam. The ribeye steaks worse ice so thin that they literally fell apart then you defrosted them. It looked as though they took a standard size steak and sliced it into pieces about a quarter of an inch thick if that and packaged the slices as four or five steaks. That was a fast $212 in Toledo Ohio for junk. The owner, Ms. and her company are being reported to the Revdex.com here and have been reported to local and state authorities for perpetuating a scam.
Don't try selling them in Toledo again or suffer the consequences.

This company sells meat that is very poor quality. We purchased beef and chicken. The texture of the steak is mushy, not at all like beef. It has a strange texture and flavor. The chicken is very odd tasting. Tonight we tried the filet mignon and it bubbled up and broke open when we grilled it and was full of gristle. Not at all the quality they stated their product to be. We raise Black Angus cattle, and are familiar with what quality beef tastes like. After eating their product we always feel sick to our stomach. I have tried 4 of their products and am now afraid to eat any of it. I have $285 worth of meat in my freezer that is not any good at all. When I tried to contact them on their FB site, they blocked me so I could not post anything.

We are very sorry to hear that you are unhappy with your purchase. Our return policy is very clear on the flyers that we pass out at the sale and have on the tables where the customers check out. It states that you may return your product to the tent within 3 days of purchase as long as you have all of the original packaging and your receipt for a full refund. You purchased them on April 28, 2017 and it is now June 22, 2017. We are very strict with returning within 3 days because we are unable to control how the meat is handled and stored once it leaves our sale. The salesmen show the product to the customers BEFORE they purchase it to show you what you are getting. Please know that each sale we set up has to be approved by the city to receive the correct permits, has to be inspected by the health inspector and all of our meat is USDA approved.

Purchased meat on 5/26/2017 at 3:17pm and did not taste it until 5/28/2017. Truck was gone and so I could not return it. The meat is of very poor quality and substandard.
