They matched me with the perfect counselor. I can get daily motivation outside of our sessions. Sessions are scheduled at a time that's best for you, and even if there isn't availability on their calendar they usually can fit you in where it's best. You can choose to text, phone call, or video call your counselor. It's super convenient and worth every penny.

Worst experience I have ever experienced. Monthly service of mental health should warrant actual communication

Betterhelp is an amazing place to get online therapy! It has been an amazing experience for me, and most of all, the therapists are great. I would definitely recommend it!

Great service when you need reality checks. I work night shifts and can type messages to my counselor any time and I always get quick responses, day or night. I think it is a great service provided issues are not too severe. In my opinion, if a person is having serious anger management problems or is suffering from mental illness, it is better to meet face to face and have advice for medication.

I think this is great for every day issues where you tell your story and ask if a response was appropriate. *** helps me see what a good approach to a bad situation *** be and she is very supportive. Great when you don't want to tell your story to the world but you need a confidant to talk to.

Absolutely horrible. Misleading advertisements that say "get help on your own time" yet there are no counselors ever available outside of the normal business hours. I work the night shift, and I was hoping to be able to talk to someone during my day and not during the business day when I am trying to sleep. No phone call, chat, or in person access is offered. The only thing that is covered by this very expensive WEEKLY charge is maybe one or two email responses a week. If you are lucky. I was tricked into signing up because I would receive "one week free", yet it took over a week to even be paired with a counselor, who then didn't respond for another several days. I took me over three weeks to be paired with a counselor who was half-way decent, just to get a very short response to my very detailed questions and concerns. Of course, I was charged for every one of those weeks in which I received absolutely no counseling. It is maddening. The whole process is sneaky, deceitful, and manipulative of people who very much need help and do not have normal schedules. It is not a scam, per se, because they will eventually match you with a counselor who may or may not help, depending on the doctor that you are matched to. However, this service is ten times more frustrating than an in person counselor, and every bit as expensive, if not more so. All this service does is act as a VERY expensive middleman to find you a counselor who will then only help you on their time while collecting their weekly checks from this middle man. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

Hi Lindsay, thank you for your honest feedback and we are so sorry to hear about your experience.

Is the email address you have listed here on the Revdex.com website the same email address associated with your BetterHelp account? We are eager to resolve this issue for you, but we do need to confirm your BetterHelp account email address to do so.

Please get in touch with us at ***@betterhelp.com. We'd be happy to assist you, including reviewing your counselor and your charges.

Absolutely would never recommend this service to anyone. The first "counselor" I was matched with was late for our appointment and didn't bother telling me until after our session began and then straight up CANCELLED our second session!. The second "counselor" didn't bother to read my messages or my profile and then proceeded to not respect the boundaries I outlined within either. There is absolutely no way a real, professional human being would treat their clients like this!!! Hands down the worst thing you can do to someone who is suffering and is in genuine need of counsel.

Kelly is super kind, understanding, and just a joy to talk to. She has extremely warm, down-to-earth energy, and I have benefited tremendously from being able to video chat & message with her (her messages are always very thoughtful and reflective). I have felt myself lifted out of depression and I am now able to experience my life in a more even keeled manner, as opposed to large up-and-down fluctuations. Kelly has a wealth of tools at her disposal, but she does not push anything on you - you can go at your own pace.

I have recommended betterhelp.com to friends and will continue to do so.

The platform clearly offers more FLEXIBILITY including the options of written messages, video, and/or phone. For friends with social anxiety, this has been a huge benefit / of compelling value. For people with AD/HD, the messaging component is also very helping for quick check-ins without blocking off a lot of time.

I definitely value the CONVENIENCE of the platform. Relative to traditional therapy / counseling where one is required to schedule weeks in advance and maintain a consistent appointment time that is often inconvenient (e.g. during business hours, requiring significant time to commute to/from), better help is SO much, well... better! No commuting, booking within 48 hours, and messaging anytime.

I've also had experiences prior to betterhelp.com where I met with a therapist / counselor with whom I just didn't "jive" off-the-bat... but there was no feedback loop. No free trial to see if there was a good fit. And more often than not, that counselor / therapist was the only person with whom I interacted; there was no manager, no customer service, or even a cursory attempt to ask "is this a good fit for you?". Plus, when you're relegated to an in-person meeting, proximity is extremely limiting to the services / providers that can be accessed / offerened

Betterhelp.com on the other hand has semi-regular ratings / surveys for the counselor (where there are comments section that are both blind and for the counselor). I've been extremely happy with my counselor from Day 1 so I haven't had any experiences that would 'test' their customer service response with regard to therapy issues but based on their feedback / response with general inquiries, I trust betterhelp to be extremely responsive and helpful. And I would trust betterhelp.com to match me with someone else if I hadn't happened to mesh well with my therapist.

The platform is both HIPPA compliant and extremely easy / INTUITIVE to use. I've used both the phone app and computer. I've used both the messaging and video / audio. I only ever had one issue with the platform being down. It was fixed in

BetterHelp is a great online therapy tool! For someone who was skeptical about online counseling, I have seen great results and had an amazing experience so far.

Took a couple tries, but found an amazing counselor and she's amazing. It is easy to get in touch with her at any time, it's flexible how we can communicate, and she's been really helpful. This is an excellent way for people with a busy schedule or social anxiety to get therapy on their terms. Plus they are able to be paid with FSA funds, so that's even better!! Love BetterHelp.com!!
