Review: I have an adjustable rate mortgage that was originally a rollover from [redacted] and is coming to maturity in August 2016. I called to ask about my options and current interest rates. I was told by the representative that because my renewal was within 6 months of the initial terms, there would be no fee involved. I was told to check the messages for my account on their website and the documents would be available in a few days. Time went by and nothing. Finally I receive the information in the mail stating that there is a renewal fee of one mortgage payment. I call to question it and had to speak to 3 representatives before finding one who was clear enough on their products to tell me I was misinformed. My complaint concerns: a Home LoanDesired Settlement: I would like Capital One to stick to information I received in my initial conversation and waive the fee. I waited for weeks just to find out that there was in fact a fee and I wasted valuable time that I could have been exploring other options.

I have reviewed the offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved. If the company does not perform as promised I can get back to you at: [redacted]The enclosed rate renewal package supplied by Capital One does not reflect the waiving of the renewal fee that they agreed to in the letter. I assume I will need new loan agreement documents so that I can accept, sign and return without any misunderstanding.

Regards,

Review: I am currently (3 yrs now) working with [redacted] to pay off debts I incurred during marriage. I have had my Capital One accounts for 7 and 8 years now without a single late payment in that time period. [redacted] had taken over with making my agreed payments with Capital One at $65.00 a month. Due to a gliche, [redacted] had missed a Dec 2013 payment on 2 of the accounts with Capital One. "I" had only found this out due to trying to purchase a home(which I had been denied due to credit score and this issue), I had contacted Capital One directly to find out what the problem was. They had stated a payment was missed on 2 seperate accounts I had with them due on the 28th of Dec and were received on Jan 4 putting my account 30 days past due. I immediately made a payment on both of them to keep them current and up to date. When I had asked why I wasn't informed prior to it going to my credit report, I was told that Capital One will NOT contact ME due to [redacted] making the accounts. When I asked if they had contacted [redacted], they stated that they would NOT do that either, that [redacted] would have to call them if they wanted information on the account. I had then contacted [redacted] to see what had happened. They had admitted it was in fact their fault for the missed payments, wrote a letter to myelf and [redacted] stating it was there mistake asking to have it removed from my credit reports. A rep from Capital One had told [redacted] that if I had called in and filed a dispute with them over the phone they would consider removing it. I had called them on Jan 6, 2014 and also contacted them in writing along with the letter stating it was not my fault from [redacted] and was out of my control but they had refused to remove the discrepency from my report. These discrepencies state they will remain on my report until 2020 for a $65.00 and $30.00 charge. I have never missed any payments with Capital one for the past 7-8 years with them nor did I miss any payments with [redacted] and Capital One was unwilling to remove these from my report even though I was not the cause of the late payment. It is just simply unfair to me, doing what I was supposed to do, paying off my debts for what I had owed all of these years without a discrepency to have this happen. One of these accounts has since been paid in full and closed and I have only 7 payments left out of 42 left on my [redacted] account to have all of my creditors paid in full. [redacted] nor myself were aware of any discrepencies nor were we notified in any way until it appeared on my report.Desired Settlement: I would just like for the "late/delinquent" status removed from my 3 credit reports. The accounts had been paid up to date by both myself and [redacted] with extra payments. That is all I am asking for is to change the status to a "positive" versus a "negative"

Review: I have had an auto loan with Capital One since 12/2010. Ever since the loan was opened, it has been a nightmare for me. They consistently "lose" payments, their customer service representatives repeatedly call and harass my husband and I, and I recently had a representative tell me she did not care if my children had to starve in order for me to make my car payment. I had recently gotten behind in my car payments due to a layoff at my job. I had set up automatic withdraw for my payments that mysteriously got cancelled and now they continuously call me several times a day despite my attempts to resolve this issue.Desired Settlement: My desired outcome is for Capital One Auto Financing to cease contact with me and consider the remainder of the loan to be paid in full. Capital One Auto Financing has refused my payment several times because it was not for the full amount but was all I could afford at the time.

Review: Back in March 2009 , I called and advised Capital One that I would be deployed for several months at a time and that I would be limited to internet access. I gave provided them with the my address to send the statements. The first month 04/2009, I never received the statement to address that I provided for them and I reached out to customer support and they mailed out a statement immediately and had my payment posted immediately. She apologized for my inconvenience and stated that my account was up to date and nothing negative was showing. From April 2009, September 2009-November 2009. I did not receive the statement and advise the representative of this second, third, etc error and it was taken care of immediately. Once again, I was told that I was not responsible for any late fees since it was Capital One's fault that they did not mail my statement to the address provided since I was overseas. After coming back to the states in 2014, I thoroughly reviewed my credit report and saw that my Platinum MasterCard (which is now closed, acct #[redacted]xxxx) was sent to collections due to them never sending my statements to me. I filed a complaint with CFPB and Capital One came back saying they are not responsible. They took responsibility each time I had an issue with not receiving my statement. This account was sent to collections and the judge dismissed the case and ordered Capital One to remove the charge off status and reopen the account to good standing at a zero balance and for Midland to delete all collection account from all three credit bureaus. I have court documents showing that this account was dismissed in court and Midland has already removed their account from all three credit bureaus.Desired Settlement: I am a soldier protecting this country and Capital One cannot even hold themselves responsible for an account that was charged off, which should have never been charged off due to no fault of mine. I want Capital One to reopen my open for the opening date of 10/01/2008 with a zero balance and to remove charge off status all past due status from my account. I am a long time cardholder of Capital One and I would have to end my relationship because of their error. I still have the card #[redacted]xxxx in my possession so Capital One can just reopen the card (ending in 1650) for use. Also, I would like to have the card increased to match my highest credit limit of $10,000.

Review: Ever since Capital One took over [redacted] bank ive had nothing but problems with Capital One. They cancelled my automatic payments, I am unable to log in online anymore to make my payments, I have gotten multiple fees including a $80 on a $300 credit limit. Ive attempted to contact capital one and even speak to supervisors but they refused to waive my $80 "annual fee". I told them I wasnt paying that and I was going to file a Revdex.com complaint first. I was willing to continue business with Capital One, but I was not paying a rediculous fee. They wouldnt budge on that fee. Capital One representatives were even willing to let me go after 5 years of business with this company that was just taken over. Apparently now I am 4 months late on payments, and still have no way to log in online to make payments without getting charged a crazy "payment fee". I used to have this account automatically taken out, but apparently when the ended [redacted] bank website, the payments were no longer being taken out. And now I cannot figure out how to get it started again.Desired Settlement: I would like account to be put back in "regular standing" with the credit boroughs and would like all fee's waived on my account if you would like to continue to do business with me. I would also like you to take my payment with my checking account over the phone with no fee's. I have never been late with [redacted] bank and have never had any of these problems, I would like to keep the same relationship with capital one. Please fix all of these fee's and late credit reporting because of a mistake that capital one made by removing my automatic payments.

I made it clear to the representative that I would be filing a complaint with the Revdex.com when they first fixed my report, I was still unable to make payments online or over the phone. I made it clear to the executive office that I wanted my report to be fixed and the fee to be waived then I would make a payment. They agreed with me then got back to me telling me they wouldn't do it.

Review: I have called during normal business hours atleast 15 times in the past week to request a front and back scanned copy of my lease to be faxed. I spoke to a representative last week who assured me it would be faxed next business day. It never came. I just tried calling again and there offices are closed again. They are never open or I wait on hold for 30 minutes until there automated phone system kicks me off. I verbally confirmed the number read back to me was correct as well. Horrible customer service and they just shut off the phone system to save their metrics when it gets too busy / close for unknown reason.

I disputed with the credit bureau twice that it was a settlement and capitol one has updated the payment but refuses to acknowledge this was a settlement on my credit card to all 3 bureaus. Review: A few years ago during the recession I was in a financial hard place and as a result I contacted [redacted] (a consumer counseling agency) of Atlanta. They set my credit card accounts up on a debt management plan that included my Capital One credit card. They contacted Capital One and Capital One agreed to take the suggested payment amount as well as lower the interest rate on my account. For two years I dutifully paid this amount to [redacted] monthly as instructed. I was never late on the payments. I received statements from Capital One each month showing the new interest rate as well as the posted payment. I assumed that all was well. However, all was not well. It turned out that all the while that I was diligently paying my agreed upon payments to Capital One via [redacted] Capital One was in turn taking the payment and then reporting to the three major credit bureaus every month that my payment had not been made. Furthermore, they eventually charged the account off. All of this was without one word to me from either Capital One or [redacted]. I had no idea that this was happening. I called [redacted] to inquire about the situation and they in turn called Capital One. Capital One told them that although they did agree to take the payment amount and lower the interest rate they did not say that they would not count the difference between what I paid and the original amount due (prior to the [redacted] arrangement) as being current. Another words, they agreed upon a payment of a certain amount, lowered the interest rate to accommodate that payment amount, and then turned around and reported it to the credit bureaus as if none of this had taken place. I then called Capital One myself and was told the exact same thing. "Yes, we agreed to take your payment amount and lower the interest rate and then report it to the credit bureaus as a default and charge off." I continued to pay Capital One through [redacted] until I had satisfied the original amount on my credit card. To this day it is still being reported on the credit bureaus as being late every month and as a charge off. It also shows a balance of $1086.80 which I am assuming is added interest and fees. I called Capital One again this week to try to deal with the situation but was again informed that they took my money as agreed and yet turned around and reported it as if I had not paid it. When I asked why they would do that one customer service rep stated that "If we can get your money we are going to take it."

I have asked the customer service reps and a supervisor that I spoke to to remove this inaccurate information from my credit reports. They have all refused. I even agreed to pay the bogus fees and interest that have been added while I was making payments in return for them removing the incorrect information off of my credit and although they agreed to take my money at 50 cents on the dollar they again refused to correct the obviously blatant incorrect information on my credit reports.

As you can imagine I am beyond frustrated. I feel that I did what was asked of me per the agreement with [redacted] and Capital One but instead of helping my financial situation it has only hurt it. Had I been told by either Capital One or [redacted] that my money would be taken but that it would devastate my credit I would have never agreed to it. I was misled by both [redacted] and Capital One. Both should have informed me that this would happen but neither did. I found it out on my own. I have documentation to show that my statements are correct.Complaint concerns: a Credit CardDesired Settlement: I want the negative information that Capital One has reported to the 3 credit bureaus deleted and reported as paid on time because I did pay them on time. I want the "charge off" corrected and my account information to reflect the payments that I made that Capital One agreed to.

Review: I am 100% service connected disabled vet with PTSD. Routine is everything to me with this condition. It's how I live now. I am Terrified of telephones, which is part of the PTSD. I have a care giver that helps me with many things.

In late 2014, They changed their Website. This was how I made Payments, ONLINE. Somehow the new site would not recognize me so I missed a payment. I asked my Caregiver the next month to call with my info and credit card to make the payment. They would not take payment because the caregivers name was not on the card. (BS). My account, My card, but they wouldn't take it because she was on the phone instead of me. (2 months behind now). I went to the bank and got my caregiver a card with her name on it. I thought my Problem was solved. In apr/may 2015 time frame, we ran into another problem, The call was made to pay, everything was done on my end but the payment was not pulled. I have no Idea why. Now they are refusing to take payments from my caretaker, insisting on TALKING TO ME ON THE TELEPHONE. That's not going to happen. I have struggled to do the right thing and this company, I don't know what to say about them. Have they heard of the [redacted] I invite them to look it up.My complaint concerns: an Auto LoanDesired Settlement: 1. Place the 3 missed payments on the end of the loan.

2. Correct the information being sent to the credit b's.

3. Return any late payment fees

Regards,

First of all these people do not understand PTSD. I asked them to educate themselves by visiting the [redacted] It would at the very least give us some common ground. My care giver and I made payments on their WEB site until they Updated/change their site. From the update/change until present we could no long gain access to Make payments. Capital One response was to make the payment another way. (PTSD) makes that hard for me and when my care giver and I resolved the second method of payment as a call to make Payment, Capital One refused to take the Payments by phone, (I wasn't in Texas until January 2015). She could make payments with my card on the internet but not by voice. Is something WRONG with this picture? I am receiving treatment at Houston's VA Medical Center, and that was the reason for the move. The cost of living here is at least 20% higher than where I lived. There is no way to catch up on the payments that were REFUSED. I again request that the payments Missed be placed at the end of the loan and to stop pinging my credit report. I have tried to sell the Vehicle to a dealership but they won't touch it because of the late payment, being the value is exactly what's owed on it. I tried to move into a single home but the same thing applies. I wish I didn't have these problems but I'm working on them. I do my best with what I have but some hurdles take time to resolve.

Thank you.

Review: [redacted]

the account they are attempting to collect on is not mine and I will not be paying anything on the account ending in [redacted] with Capital One Bank. I had only ONE account with Capital One, the account number begins [redacted] opened in 8/2006. I fell on hardship with I was laid off in 2009 and the account was eventually placed in judgment and I fulfilled the judgment in 2013 with the collection agency Cheek Law Offices. I NEVER had another Capital One account. I have been fighting this for 3-4 years now, when I saw two more Capital One accounts appearing on my credit negatively. I have no knowledge of the account you are trying to collect on ending in [redacted]and I suspect my ex-wife opened the account and I had no idea until agencies skipped me to find where I actually live. It appears the account you are referring to was open in 3/2004. There is another account with Capital One beginning with [redacted] that was open 12/2006 that is also not mine and I suspect my ex-wife opened it as well. I am not sure If you are trying to collect that account too, but I need to have this information sent to Capital One, so they stop harassing me. . I am NOT responsible for ANY of this debt and I will not pay something I never did or knew about! I WILL file a lawsuit if this is not taken care of expediently. I am tired of dealing with this. No one will help me from Capital One and I find this highly unacceptable.Complaint concerns: a Credit CardDesired Settlement: Vacate the judgment that this collection agency has against me and delete these accounts from my credit bureau. You and the collection agency have a choice. You can repurchase the account back from the collection agency/law office if you took the time to help your customer. Don't just blow me off and tell me the account is sold to someone else and that it's out of your hands. You are still the original creditor and you are simply unwilling to help. I have disputed this with you and the agency on at least 6 occasions. I know this isn't how a company as large as yours needs to run. I want proof I applied for these accounts in 3/2004 and 12/2006. Payment copies, signed receipts, signed credit application, etc. If you cannot provide proof and I am telling you this is fraud over and over and over again....it's time to take care of the matter. I won't just go away.

Review: I opened two cards with capital one back in September/ august and was approved for the minimum amount on each card a quicksilver card with 300 dollar limit and a platinum card with a 500 limit as per the terms of the card if you make your first monthly payments on time you will be qualified for a credit limit increase. I had gotten a email that capital one had offered me the very minimum in crease on the 2 cards from 300-500 dollars on the one card and 500-800 on the other card. If I spend a few hundred dollars on my card it adversely affects my credit because the limits on my cards are so low that I jumps up my utilization. and for them to offer the miniumun increase is a joke. im trying to improve my credit but it isn't helping when my limits on both cards are so low. I tried to apply for another card a month later but capital one would not allow me to have more than 2 cards which is ridiculous. It would of helped lower my utilization as I only use a few hundred dollars in credit. I have always paid on time and pay more than the minimum payment. I am tired of using these cards because all they do is hurt my credit rather than helpDesired Settlement: consider a more reasonable credit limit increase as per terms top the agreement

Regards,

Capital one was supposed to manually review my request for a reasonable credit line increase but never followed up on they gave me an insulting 200 dollar increase on the one card. Im tired of having low limits on my car it affects my credit when I charge a few hundred dollars a month but by doing this because my limits are so low it jumps my utilization beyond 30 percent. They never contacted me or sent me any letter for there reasoning behind this minisucle limit increase I have made my payments on time and more than the minimum amount. If capital one does not increase the limits on my card I will pursue this matter either through a state agency or through a legal process. I want to use my quick silver car for the rewards but its hard to when the limit was so low capital one needs to respond to this complaint and if they do need to speak to me it needs to be don't via email only Modification/discontinuance of an advertised claimselectDesired Outcome: I wat to have credit limits of $1000.00 on each card

Review: High interest rates. My rate has never been lowered this entire time that I've had capital one for over 3 years.

On July 2, 2016 I called to make a payment to capital one. Upon hearing my interest charged to my account I spoke to a representative to discuss my high interest rate. My rate, after 3 years, is as high as someone with no credit history with the company and a credit score of 400 (which I DO NOT have). Upon requesting a lower rate, I was put on hold and surprise yet again was informed there were currently no offers. I heard the same thing approximately 3-4 months ago when I was offered an upgraded card with more benefits. When I asked the representative to provide me with her name/agent I.D. number conveniently the call was disconnected. I called back and requested to speak to management and spoke to Robin (manager). She advised there were no offers to lower interest rates at this time and there was nothing they could do other than offer for me to apply for another card that might have lower interest rates.

'Fool me once, shame on me. Fool me twice, you can't fool me again.'-Bush Quote

* Needless to say I was not interested in this offer.

In 3 years of paying on time, over the minimum on my account Capital One has set such high interest rates designed to fleece the consumer. With such a high interest rate there is no way that someone can pay back the debt. I vow to never use this card and dedicate myself to doing everything I can to terminate this relationship.

This is not right that I'm being charged an interest rate of someone with no credit, designed to never have me pay off this debt. This is highway robberyMy complaint concerns: a Credit CardDesired Settlement: Based on the information provided I want me rate lowered to 9.9 fixed immediately to make remedy for the years I was ripped off in interest rate fee's.

I've contacted the credit card company to have my rate lowered and they seem to NEVER have a promotion to do so. What "promotion" is needed to see you have a paying customer of 3 years and you keep "trying to check for promotions" to lower your rate.

If this is not resolved amicably I intend to notify the consumer financial protection bureau next.

I understand why this company has a 1.3 rating on the rip off report. Highway robbery. To make a profit is one thing but capital one is making a killing off of interest fee's. With my history with this company and my credit my interest rate is highway robbery. This is not right.

Review: I purchased two vehicles through Capital One and after trying to refinance my loans I come to find out that Capital One does not refinance people who already has a loan with them. However, when I received the loan and spoke with a representative I was informed that I could refinance after one year of car payments as long as may payments on time which I have been doing. After reviewing my loans this weekend I notice that for the Rogue vehicle I have paid $4,495.68 in interest and only $1,950.92 in principal. I pay more than the required payment amount monthly and not on cent has gone towards my principal. In one year I have made $4,495.68 in interest so at what point will the interest be paid in full. It seems to me I will me making car payments for the rest of my life according to this contact. Capital One is just like a sales representative, they are slick talkers that tells you what you want to hear but the contact states something else. I also, look into my second car loan to see what the payoff would be, I do not understand why it would cost me more to pay off both cars?! Why would I be penalized to pay off a car early. Review: Several weeks ago I called Capital One service department regarding the hard credit inquiries which I did not authorize and was told that they will be deleted shortly. However, today I checked my Equifax,Transunion and Experian credit reports and the disputed inquiries are still there. Please have the credit bureaus delete them asap. The date of the inquiries with all 3 bureaus is Sep 4, 2013.

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

The reason why I am not satisfied with the business's response is that they have not provided any evidence or any kind of detail regarding my alleged application for credit with them and just claimed that it is "valid". Please ask them to provide competent evidence of my alleged application for credit with them.

Regards,
