Review: 10/21/15 I checked into a room at the [redacted] and was charged $155.26.

The room was unsanity and I got a headached from fumes after 10 seconds of exposure.

I went immediately to the front desk and asked for a non-smoking room.

I was advised there was not one.

I asked for a refund.

I was advised I had to wait until the following day for a manager to call.

I left the property after booking another hotel in the [redacted] lobby - about 15 minutes later.

I never returned to the property.

I was never contacted by [redacted].

On 10/23/15 I called [redacted] and asked to speak to the manager. I was told by [redacted] I would get a call back by the manager, [redacted].

I never received a call back.

On 10/24/15 I called [redacted] and asked to speak to the manager. I was advised there was no manager and that I would get a call back.

I never received a call back.

On or about 10/24/15 I contacted Capital One to dispute this charge. I spoke with Tiffany. Tiffany did not transcribe the case accurately. I had to speak with her supervisor, Maya.

[redacted] responded to the dispute and claimed that I checked out of the room the next day on 10/22/15 around 12:15 pm. The property runs surveillance cameras. I wasn't on the property on 10/22/15 - their statement is fraudulent.

Capital One rebilled me. I called to get more information and was put on hold for over an hour before I disconnected.

I was advised I would receive mail from Capital One and the deadline for me to respond was in December.

So far I have not received any documentation from Capital One.

I have contacted Capital One no less than 10 times and generally get a Filipino who cannot speak English and cannot assist.

I spoke with employee Chuck 12/2/15 who put me on hold for about 15 minutes.

I then asked to speak with Chuck's supervisor, [redacted] employee ID: TWW218.

I asked [redacted] for assistance and to email me the documents and he advised me he cannot assist.

[redacted] disconnected my call.My complaint concerns: a Credit CardDesired Settlement: Email or overnight mail the vendor's response so I can reply to it.

Credit me back $155.26 and stop wasting my time.

You can see that I rented another room on the credit card hours later.

Regards,

Review: I've been a Capital One card holder going on 5 years, since April of 2011. I had a situation a few years back where I could not secure a car rental because the rental amount(+Deposit) exceeded my limit, Right away I called customer service to see if anything could be done so that I may continue with my travel plans. The customer service representative was very helpful and provided me with two options, one of which would provide me with immediate results and would put me on my way. As rare as this situation was I had not encountered another like it until now and just like before I called customer service so that I can get it resolved and be on my way. Well the first representative was a guy by the name of Trevor, upon detailing my situation to him and explaining the resolution or "fix" I was given in my prior experience I was met with a very generic screen read response. The response had nothing to do with my situation which inclined me to ask "Did you hear and understand what I just said?, because your response is very generic. He then put me on hold to only come back and say I will transfer you to my "Account specialist". I was then transferred to a lady by the name of Torria, but once again after explaining everything to her I received generic screen read responses and stated she could not help me. After I asked "When did your policy change?" I was told that a letter went out in Oct. about increases for secured accounts, which I did receive. The letter, However, only stated that you could not make any deposits to increase your limit after Jan 1?th it did not state anything about over payments to cover certain transactions or expenses. She also told me that she could not go that far back and look at my acct to see what was done previously and suggested that I rent the car for less days so I it wouldn't exceed my limit, which will not help my travel needs in any way.My complaint concerns: a Credit CardDesired Settlement: The service I got from both representatives was sub par not to mention the "change" back in Oct did not state anything about over payments to cover transactions, which is what would have got me on my way. Also its hard to understand that an Account specialist could not look review my acct to read previous notes or changes. The representatives should be more knowledgeable in the options they can offer their customers and since over payments was not a apart of the change then they should either continue to allow customers to do so or send out a notice stating that you can no longer over pay on your acct.

Capital One's disputes department is terrible. My dispute went on for 4 months back and forth. Merchant had no proof of agreed amount or signature. But Capital One wants customer to provide proof of non authorization. Crazy. My word was told and recorded by them when merchant tried to charge account. Told them the situation. They said they take care of it. But that meant asking me more questions. I answered them. Then they send notice of chargebacks to my account. I dispute these but they was fraudulent seeing that I did not authorize said amount. They wanted it in dispute. They keep it going back and forth they credit my account the money then they charge it back then credit it then chargeback then ask me for proof I didn't charge. The person had no proof of authorization. I just closed account and sent them my proof. But it's crazy they don't care about the customer. They don't believe you. You gotta prove it while others lie and they take their word. Never do business with them.

Review: My wife and I receive more than 4-6 mailings per week at our home, and all of them have been returned to sender by the Post Office. I have written and asked repeatedly (on the envelopes of the returned mailings) to TAKE US OFF the mailing list, with no reply and no compliance. Trying to reach out to the company has been met with frustration. Runarounds with the proper phone number and contact information, and a lack of complaint form on their website to handle this internally have contributed to this complaint with the Revdex.com. Mailings that are unsolicited are unwelcome at our home, and they must stop immediately. Take us off your list. We want none of your products and never will. My wife has been the most recent recipient of these, and she shares my sentiments about Capital One. Her name is [redacted] We both receive unsolicited spam mail at our home from Capital One, and we want it to stop now.Complaint concerns: OtherDesired Settlement: We wouldn't use your products on the principle of this issue alone, let alone the fact that we don't want your credit cards or products ever again. You treated me poorly when I had an account, and that won't soon be forgotten. There are other companies out there who treat their customers much better, and they don't spam me or my wife repeatedly with unwanted, unsolicited mail.

Review: I called the company on 10/30/13 A.M and asked for current offers. I was told there was a 0 percent interest and 0 percent transfer fee to borrow up to 20,000. I said that sounded too good to be true and asked her to repeat it three times. I repeated it back 3 times. Just so there would be no misunderstanding. She asked me if she could send the check and I asked her how long the offer was good for and she told me Dec. 31.I made a purchase of a private party for the purchase of the car where they wanted cash. When I called to get the check the same evening they told me there was so such offer. The gal I spoke to EID# was [redacted]. I asked to speak to a [redacted] and she told me there was nothing they could do. Her EID# is[redacted] her name was [redacted]. She told me fax a statement over to consumer affaires and ask for them to supena phone records. That it may or may not help. There were many parties involved in making the transaction to purchase this car. All the way from [redacted] to [redacted]. I may stand to loose the purchase of the car. Had I known this I could have gotten the car through a car dealer in [redacted]. and now have lost that opportunity. Finding another car after searching for 1 month and a half will not be an easy task. I will be paying at least 2-3 1000 dollars more now. I do not know what else I have could have done more right than to ask 3 times and this should be recorded.Desired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Other (requires explanation) I want Capital One to honor the so said agreement of 0 % interest on the money I would like to borrow for 1 year. With 0% transfer fee. Like on the phone recording says. I asked So your telling me if I pay this off within one year it will cost me nothing correct? The answer was yes. 3 Times.

Review: They told me my account ending in 7040 for not be reported late and even put payments and credits to my account to keep account current and not report late. I truly the believe they deceived me.They keep sending me mislead offers for auto finance and other credit cards. They need to stop this as well.Complaint concerns: a Credit CardDesired Settlement: I would like the 30 day late removed off my credit report or I will take legal action. I will not take responsibility for inconsistentcies of customer service reps not giving me the right information then report inaccuracies on my credit report.

Review: On November 06, 2013, I received a voicemail from Capital One (my credit card company since 2003). The message said that my account was past due and that I needed to make a payment right away. Since I don’t receive my statement via mail, I had to go on the Capital One website to check my account. My surprise was that I had been charged a $35 past due since June of this year because my payment for June was received on the May billing cycle (shown on May statement). From that point on, my account kept getting past due fees because I was not meeting the new minimum payment amount. Accumulating $175 in past due fees from June to November (receiving a past due fee each month since June). I was NEVER aware of these past due fees. I NEVER received a call in the past few months to inform me of these irregular charges. Being a loyal and responsible Capital One customer, I would think Capital One would have the courtesy to call me or try to contact me for these charges. I have been making payments every month without missing any payments. Always paying more than the minimum payment and as you can see on the statements I make my payments weeks before the due date. I contacted Capital One in different occasions, have spoken to different account managers and all they have offered me was to waive 2 past due fees for the amount of $70. I do not believe this is fair. I am being penalized for paying early. I do pay interest for using this credit card, it’s not free but I guess the interest charges are not enough income to Capital One Company and are coming out with these irregular fees on dependable customers. I have been a loyal customer for 10 years and have never had a problem with Capital One. I have been making payments every month and I feel that Capital One took advantage of their big company power to charge me these fees and damage my credit records. I am very upset and disappointed at this uncomfortable situation. Besides the fact that Capital One wants me to pay for these irregular fees, these past due fees will be reflecting on my credit records which will affect on the purchase of my first home. I have an excellent credit history and I do not wish to be jeopardized by these irregular charges. I hope that you can advocate on this matter. If you have any questions, please e-mail me. Sincerely, [redacted]Desired Settlement: I want those 5 past due fees to be waived from my credit card account and deleted from my credit records.

Review: I received via mail a credit card promotion for 0% interest on purchases and balance transfers for 12 months.I had 2 credit cards, one with an 11% interest and the other with 12%. I took advantage of this seemingly great deal only to notice on my bill an $80 interest fee. I called to question and they told me my interest rate is 19% and not 0% on balance transfers. I am truly dumbfounded that a credit card company would be false advertising. When I signed up online I entered my invitation number and even verified the promotion. No one is willing to admit fault and correct the issue. And here they just raised my interest by 7% from what I was originally paying, when according to the promotion it should've been 0%Desired Settlement: I would like for them to honor the original offer of 0% interest on balance transfers for 12months.

Review: The account I have issue with ends in [redacted]. On Oct 16th I made a double payment on an other account ending in [redacted], a payment $25 and one for $30. I didn't realize it until the 18th. When I called Capital one the representative stated they did see the double payment and would apply the $30 to account ending [redacted] and reverse all fees. Ok now my bill this month my minimum is $55 so when I called the [redacted] or [redacted] first said it was fees since the adjustments was made after the 16th. I don't understand that since the representative stated all fees would be fixed. Then I was told by the representative the $55 payment request was due to the higher balanced owed even though when he did the calculations of interest by 1% of ending balance his calculation came up to less than $25.00 . When I told him I was still not understanding where the extra $30 is coming from he stated it was fees for the payment being adjusted after the 16th, I tried again to explain the representative said it would be reversed. I called back a second time and was told since I made a purchase on the 21 st this brought my minimum payment up and would need to pay the $55 so I would not have a late fee again. WHAT!!!!!!! But if I click on payments made it shows there is no history of a payment for October even though I was told it would be taken from the account I made a double payment ([redacted]) to [redacted]. I don't understand why if the rep said they would apply the payment and credit all fees I am still being told there is a late fee included in this months bill and at the same time being told the higher balance is because I made another purchase of $70 after the 18th. If they were to look in account ending [redacted] the $30 was never taken out. Sounds like no one can really tell me what is going on.Desired Settlement: For both of my accounts to be correct. A correct explanation as to why my monthly charge is $55 this month when it should be $25 like all my other Capital one cards.

Review: I have on several occasions reached out to Capital One to dispute a credit inquiry on all 3 credit reports. Last year around October Capital One reported an inquiry that I did not authorize or solicit. I have called and been given various numbers and have been transferred from credit department to loan origination. After countless hours on the phone yesterday the rep named Roberto searched by name, address, and lastly my social security number He kept assuring me that the line is recorded and that sensitive information like my social security number is protected. He could not find an application EVER submitted in my name or with my information and soon transferred me to a rep named Tracy who advised I report it to the fraud department she transferred me and I was on hold for 38 minutes. I NEVER solicited any product offered by Capital One. Last year I reported the same issue a rep from headquarters named Brian called me and said He would investigate and return my call....I am still waiting. My complaint concerns: OtherDesired Settlement: Please remove the unauthorized inquiry. I NEVER initiated any application and all the reps that I spoke to Roberto, Tracy, Charlie and Brian confirmed there is NO application ever submitted by me online, paper or phone.

Review: I presented a check for deposit, the check was cleared by Capital One Bank. I paid bills with the money the bank made available to me and then they contacted me to inform me the check was a fake. I don't feel I should be penalized for the banks mistake. They should not have cleared the check if was a fake and now i'm expected to pay the bank money for a criminal act. I'm sure they are covered for fraud from the FDIC and they can recoup their money another way. I am a victim and so is the bank so go after the criminal the one who is passing fraudulent checks not the customer. They should take as much time as they need to make sure the check is legitimate before putting the money in the customers account I don't feel I should have to pay for this. I have information on the criminal, I have filed a police report and a report with the post office because the check was mailed to me and that is a federal crime to use the post office in a criminal act/scam.My complaint concerns: a Banking Account (Checking)Desired Settlement: I want my checking account out of the negative and all return fees (from me paying my bills) be returned to my account. I want my account back in good standing and for the bank to go after the criminal not me again I have filed a police report they can work with the police to recoup their money from the criminal.

Review: Incessant, borderline on abusive and harassing mailing and advertising practices. I have emailed Capital One customer support, I have reached out to Capital One twice via social media ([redacted]), I have marked every single letter as "Return To Sender" and even paid additional postage and proceeded to do this until my postman refused to deliver these letters any longer. The fact that a company is so awful and incessant at marketing that there are people in the world who feel they are being abused and harassed by Capital One, so much so that they must file a complaint with the Revdex.com says a lot.My complaint concerns: OtherDesired Settlement: For Capital One to NEVER ever contact me again, permanently. Not "remove yourself from our mailing list for 5 years" I wished to be removed from their mailing list PERMANENTLY for the remainder of my entire lifespan, 100+ years.

Review: I mailed a change of address letter in to Capital One Bank, but apparently that was never received nor processed. As a result, when my mail forwarding expired (I only set it for a year because I did not want the Postal Service selling my new address information to vendors or giving it to partners), I never received my January nor February 2014 statements. I didn't notice because I have monthly payment reminders in [redacted], and cannot pay the full balance off yet anyway. However, when I logged into CapitalOneBank.com to check my balance and make a payment recently, I noticed there were two new messages there, one stating that my January statement had been returned to CapitalOne, and the other saying the February statement had been returned to CapitalOne.

I have an exchange of emails that I can cut and paste into an email to Revdex.com.org when provided with an email address. I asked them to make certain my account settings were correct because I was not receiving email notifications of messages in my online account, and asking them why on earth they would continue to send statements that were rejected and not email me that there was a problem to the email address on record. The communication was so incredibly poor it took three emails from me to simply get to the point where they told me to call the customer service number to have the issue addressed. This is absolutely ridiculous -- there is no reason they can't look refer these two issues to the appropriate departments so they can be researched and get back to me. Me being on the phone with a first line help desk person is only likely to result in me wasting both our time.Desired Settlement: If Revdex.com.org will provide me with the email address, I will provide the email trail. All this concerns my Capital One [redacted] account ending in ....[redacted].

I want corporate customer service to make certain that the issues get researched and resolved so that:

1. I receive email notices when there is a secured message waiting for me;

2. Matters don't just drop when someone's mail gets returned TWICE to Capital One. I should have gotten emailed or called to my address or phone number on record.

3. Customer Service is improved.

Wait until I send you the email trail so you can see the full reason for the annoyance. It was like I was receiving responses from a bot the first two times, and even the third response was vague and unhelpful (no information about which department to request, no direct numbers, etc.). Your online customer service is either too far removed and needs to be provided the information they need to do their job, or this was a really bad clerk/unit. I have no idea whether my request to escalate this to management was actually acted upon or not -- no names are included.
