Carolina Carports Reviews (138)

Unfortunately, there are times we have to reschedule services if we feel the weather is too risky to perform quality work When the customer contacted our company to cancel service, the representative he spoke with made an error which led to the driveway being sealed We have reduced the balance of the complainant’s invoice to zero and apologize for any inconvenience experienced by the customer

The company scheduled a date and then canceled days before deliveryI have called three more times with a promise of the next week and they keep pushing the date out with no delivery in the near future

I had carports installed and attached by Carolina Carports a few weeks agoGround is sloped, the right side is 1/ftlower than the right, and this was not supposed to be an issueAfter legs in middle were cut too short, they set it on blocks and they had it almost levelJust needed to adjust length of legs on rightThey wanted me to sign a waiver voiding warranty to install it on blocksI wouldn't, they threatened to take carport backThey the took blocks out, and it pulled roof further away from the house and this what we got Crew foreman said he had a bunch of time in it Carolina Carports sent another crew to look at it and they said it was installed correctly I wish I could post pictures and let you decide if this is quality work Carolina Carports installed carports for me years ago, and did great workI expected similar this time and didn't get it

I reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find the resolution is satisfactory to me Regards, [redacted]

Purchased a garage, cannot use because they broke the door during installation and the othe door they lost off the truck on the way to the locationI have called repeatedly about them bringing new onesThey call back and schedule a day then they do not show upI have lost close to 400$ in lost wages because someone has to be available when they comeThe company is not cooperative and the people that they sent to build the garage laid on a dirt pile in the shade for a good part of the dayThey also charged me in full for the broken door and charged me sales tax on the door that never made it to the location

Im in the same boat as everyone elseI ordered a carport NovI was told it would take 4-wksfor MarylandAfter wkswas told it would be after ChristmasToday Jan4, was told it could be the end of Janor into Feb.They can keep that carport

An appointment was scheduled with the complainant for December 11, On that date, two managers were at the complainant’s property and performed the repairs necessary to remove the sealer splatter from the affected areas Upon completion of the repair, AmeriCoat verified with the complainant that he was satisfied with the results The balance of the complainant's account has been reduced to zero as well / [redacted] Style Definitions */

This company has terrible customer service Ordered the carport in September We were told up front from the dealer it would be October or November Three times were scheduled...the first cancelled as they didn't have time to get to us! Second one cancelled due to rain...the third one they went to the wrong house and instead of calling for better directions they decided to just go home Now, I've been told it will be after January 4, before they can even think of scheduling our delivery They can keep their carport

After placing an order for a metal carport to be delivered in NJ on June 8th, 2015, I was quoted a 4-week window for delivery Customer service would not specify any information, other than repeat "we will call you days before delivery"By August, I was calling once a week and always heard the same response In October, they called to schedule a delivery within hours, which did not work for me, and my order was placed on hold "On hold" means that they will restart the process apparently, and I am now looking at a February deliveryThis is a total of months wait for an week delivery windowThey claim that they are running 2-MONTHS behind and that delivery to NJ is "weather pending" It is currently degrees and sunny in NJ I have reached out to several service managers, and all blame others for the repeated delays I may be cancelling the order if I do not hear a definite delivery date by New Years Day

My experience and recommendations to make your experience a succesful one I went through MANY dealers and ultimately found [redacted] barns (http://www[redacted] .com/) and spoke to Lacey She worked me, back and forth, through a lot of changes to end up with the order we placed I would give Lacey a out of for a review She ensured that Carolina Carports (CCI) received my order and kept me in the loop I received a very prompt call from CCI in the days that followed confirming receipt and reviewed my order Both Lacey and the representative from CCI set my expectation of eight weeks turnaround I needed some time to tear down a structure, expand and level the area, etc I did this with the knowledge of eight weeks to delivery and had it done long before At almost exactly eight weeks I received a call from CCI stating I was to expect delivery the following week (Friday and finish work on Saturday due to structure size)We reviewed the order again and I actually expanded it to include J-Channel everywhere it was applicable and highly recommend that now that I've seen the end result I took a half day on that Friday and at PM [redacted] installers from Pennsylvania arrived I'm assuming J stands for Jose as he was clearly the supervisor as the other two gentlemen did not speak english very well, nor did Jose but much moreso then the other two They got to work after Jose and I confirmed the order and placement, etc I offered, and provided a cooler of Lemonade / cups to them as it was a hot day and they were working extremely hard and efficiently I also provided them dinner (burgers and dogs) so they could keep working later One item I'd state is they had no concept of time as when they stated minutes left it meant hours and an overnight stay in a local hotel They departed around sunset stating a AM arrival time I made sure the greeting crew (dogs) were put away prior to 7; however, they arrived at 8:AM on Saturday stating their hotel beds were too comfortable to get out I believe if you work hard, and they did the day prior, to afford one to sleep in a bit so no big deal They worked for another hours and the structure was complete I was wondering to what extent they would clean up after themselves and was pleased they picked up EVERYTHING While they were packing up I walked around the area and looked for any screws on the ground and they noticed me doing that They all came over and we did it collectively for about to minutes until we covered the entire area twice over As one of the workers asked about our chickens and whether we sold eggs I provided him a half dozen as a gift as well as a $tip to each of them I'm sure they do NOT get paid well and they did such a good job that I felt the tip was well worth it I could not find opinions on what to tip CCI installers so went with $each ($total) My opinion: If you go into this and work with someone like Lacey @ [redacted] barns you'll have a good experience initially If, and this is a BIG IF, you understand to not hold your breath and are willing to wait for weeks then you won't be disappointed, far from it I would STRONGLY recommend Lacey, [redacted] Installers from PA, and CCI with the above recommendations to going into it with the timeframe understood I also would NOT recommend starting the process going into the Fall / Winter but rather start the process in the Spring / Summer as I did My two cents as the experience could NOT have been better with my approach Some coworkers of mine are going to be getting their own structures but due to time of year going to take my advice and wait until Spring

This is my first review of any company, for any reason, anywhereBut they were so unbelievably bad to deal with - that I was moved to post this in hopes that others will not make the same mistake I patiently waited well over months for my carport (which was supposed to arrive in "3-weeks")It never cameThey called numerous times to schedule the installationEach time they failed to show up, and they never called to to say they weren't comingAfter weeks they still could not give me a delivery date! I finally cancelled my order and told their local sales rep to just keep my 10% deposit Unless you want to wait indefinitely for your structure, I would recommend spending $extra and just purchase the [redacted] brand from [redacted] or ***

days after they installed my building around may It rained and my roof was leaking I contacted them that day and they said they would send somebody out I have contacted them via email and my gf has been to the point of sale once with no action other then, "somebody will contact you" I emailed once again earlier this week at the beginning of january with same issue and they called back wednesday that somebody would be in touch by end of the week no call I messaged again but tired of the run around that "somebody will be in contact"

I ordered a carport on 9/21/and was told delivery would be to weeksAfter weeks and no one contacting me, I contacted the sales person, who sold me the carportI was told to contact CCIAfter several cancellations of delivery times, I still do not have my carportOn one occasion after I called CCI, I was told that the crew would be there between and 2:They didn't show so I called again and I was told 4:This morning I called and was told the weather was bad which it was notWhen reading the complaints, I noticed the times given of 2, 2:and 4:of when the crew would be there and bad weather are standard lies for themWill not recommend them

Carolina Carports are nothing but a scam...You order the carport pay the deposit and then wait months for them to schedule delivery and then tell you oh we made a mistake and we need to charge you another Never again

Last week, Carolina Carport installed a 24ft X 31ft garage for meI am very pleasedBuilding looks great and my property was left clean & neatI was told that lead time to get building installed would be approxweeksI figured, therefore, that I had weeks to get the site ready before they showed up with the buildingThis was not the caseAbout a month after I ordered the building, I called C.Cto let them know the site was ready and check on status of buildingTHAT is when they started the week lead timeActual lead time from date of order was more like or weeksHowever, we're still very happy with the purchase and recommend this company

Ordered an exterior carport to be installed in June Company rescheduled times and has failed to deliver and install the carportSpoke with multiple supervisors and customer service manager;the last being Manny who refused to give his last nameThe manager stated that they did not have a contractor available to install yet again until August 1stI have lost days wages of $a day and stayed awake hrs driving to return to accommodate new scheduled appointmentThis proved to be another no show from Carolina Carports with not so much as a courtesy phone callManny also stated as well as Katy [redacted] that scheduling was deferred due to bad weatherIt rained for approximately hrs between 2:am to 6:am onlyWe have received damage to our boat that we ordered the carport to provide cover for

Revdex.com received phone call from [redacted] He said he does not agree with AmeriCoat's responseThe company was hired to replace a badly broken down and unreparable water drainThey failed to replace the garage drain which they were suppose to do as part of work performed

This has been the worst experience ever I wanted a carport before winter but after two no-show cancellation on the deliver and installation, I canceled my order out of sheer frustration dealing with poor customer service and unreasonable business practices I ordered a carport through the website at the end of September, hoping for installation by November at the latest The contractor was switched to Carolina Carports, Inc(CCI) without my knowledge, but I went along and signed the purchase/installation contract on September 26, anyway (because I understand how American businesses like to use subcontractor or have other business under their umbrellas) I had to call the company (CCI) because once I signed the contract I didn't hear anything for several weeks Several attempts later, I was scheduled for delivery and installation around October Then, no show/no call The following Monday, I called and was told the wrong item was loaded on the truck and they would need to reschedule Okay, so after loosing it on a phone call to the company, I finally received a call on November for installation on November (Whoopee!) But low and behold, I get a call on the morning of November to be told that (LOL) the truck broke down in route and could they reschedule to November (UGH! Guess I should have known) Definitely a bad omen, so at this point I have had enough with the excuses and poor customer service Funny thing is that the contract states if the customer cancels within day installation process they won't get a refund Why????? The customer is put through all kinds of excuses, no-shows, no calls and delays, but the company is allowed to keep my $100+ dollars they clearly did not earn HUH? For [redacted]  (who have the audacity to tout God's name in their recording) and Carolina Carports Inc(who are definitely not customer friendly) my rating is ZERO!!!!

This company put up my carport The construction crew did an OK job of cleanup but did leave behind some sharp scrap metal pieces around the site They also took my payment by writing my credit card information on a piece of scrap paper This didn't seem very professional, later I ended up with fraudulent charges that I was unable to identify and had to cancel my card A little over a month later we had heavy rain and a huge leak I contacted the company They stated that since it was over days since installation I would have to pay myself for the repairsI would beware if you decide to use this company, do not hand your credit card over to the construction crew! Make sure you fully inspect for leaks yourself with a water hose right after installation! I do not have confidence in this company
