Change My Postal Address Reviews (%countItem)

I was on the USPS site, which I needed to submit 2 change of address for myself (***) and *** and you are always redirected to the site that charges you $1.05 to submit thru USPS. For some reason there was a redirect to another site, which I didnt realize. I was robbed or scammed and charged $39.95 by this site that obviously has a link or cookies or something embeded to steal business and scam people. the site has no number to contact
www.changemypostaladdress.com this site leads you to believe they are with the USPS and then robs you. Ive searched and they are flagged as scam

The site disguised itself as USPS. I went there to change my mailing address and discovered a charge of $39.95 on my credit card that appeared to be from USPS, but is not.

My wife, who I had just moved in with, was changing my address for me while I slept, but didn't realize that the site she was using was a scam site that has no affiliation with USPS. So now I have a charge for $79.95 on my card for a scam service.

I thought I was asking USPS to forward my mail for $1.00 but inadvertently landed on the "Change my Postal Address" site and put my credit card in with the understanding they were charging me $1.00. I never agreed to a charge of $39.95 nor do I understand what this is for.

I assumed I was doing an address change form, forwarding at USPS. The site looked like USPS site. I was in a rush, because I have a million things to do moving, and this company takes advantage of that. People are rushing and are sleep deprived and they prey on you. So I thought I was doing a simple change of address and I get charged $39.95. They don't even have a telephone # to reach so I can rip them a new one! They are deceitful and need to be removed ASAP!

I used this first google-suggested site to change my mailing address where it stated that the charge was $1.00 to update my address with usps. I was subsequently charged $39.95 for this which was not advertised.

The website did not state the price of address change and was a replica of the US Postal Service’s website, falsely advertising their business. I was charged $39.95 for the address changed and was never billed or notified of the charge.

Me and my sister were trying to chane address through USPS ,and I somehow changed it but later on find out that we were both have been charged 39.95 on each of our card ,instead of $1

This site falsely advertises that it is a ‘US Postal Change of Address’ however when I received the bill I was charged $39.95 rather than the $1.05 which is normally charged by the post office. I have spoken to my post master who is well aware of this fraudulent site and advised that I file a formal complaint. First, I need this fraudulent charge removed from my credit card, second this site needs to be deactivated to prevent others from being scammed as well. The company has numerous previous complaints and yet no action has been taken against them. Please help!

I was just charged $39.95 for setting up a change of address! I didn’t get any email regarding the address change or anything. I want my money back please!

This business charged me $39.95 without telling me they were going to charge my card.

I paid 39.95 to changemypostaladdress.com and did not get address changed yet it cost me 39.95. I thought I was changing it with the u.s.p.s.

I saw a website to change my address and was not aware I was making a $39.95 charge until it was made to my account. I was made to believe I was changing my address but was scammed. There is no where that says it costs $39.95

I recently put a change of address through on August 6th 2019 and was billed for $39.95 when it should have cost $1 and never received an email with the confirmation

Good day ***,this message comes to you in reference to claim number ***. I have spoken to someone this morning in regards to being overcharged for the requested change of address and the issue has been resolved.. I was informed that the charge would be reversed immediately.. Thank you kindly for your prompt attention in this matter... Sincerely

This website falsely advertises as the USPS when you google them. I put in a request to change my address and it charged me $39.95! On their website, it mentions a $1.00 filing fee with the USPS. I have messaged this company several times in order to receive a refund, as the USPS charges a lot less to change your address, and because this company seems to be trying to scam people to change their address. They keep telling me that a representative will email me back shortly, but that has not happened. I have requested a full refund, but no one has contacted me back to discuss it. This company is a scam. Also, they claimed that I moved in to my new residence on 8/6/19, however I moved on 7/31/19. They never gave me a confirmation order for my "transaction."

This website is very deceptive of its wording. Extremely frustrated that someone would run a company or website so misleading.

Changemypostaladdress.com misleads the consumer to believe that they are changing their address through the US Postal Service. The charge for changing an address is not posted. Thinking that I was entering my credit card information into the USPS website and going to be charged $1, I was then charged $39.95. It's very misleading and frustrating. I tried to contact them to have the charge refunded, but no one has returned my email and there is no phone number posted on their website that I can use to call them.

I originally went on line to what I thought was the USPS officially website to change my address temporarily. I was redirected to Change My Postal Address. The site looked official. I put my information in -- Temporary Move move date start 5-22 end 9-27, Several weeks ago all my mail started showing up with our temporary address on them as permanent. Mortgage Co, Financial Institutions, Ins, AARP everyone was sending us letters about our change of address. I called these companies to explain. I called and visited the Post Office several times- they couldn't help. I finally went back through my records and found that I changed my address through this company. They made the temporary move permanent. My mail is a disaster. THEY NEED TO FIX EVERYTHING BACK TO MY ORIGINAL ADDRESS-- ASAP

This website is purposely misleading consumers that wish to simply change their postal address. Consumers who are using Google or other search engines may land here thinking it is the United States Postal Service.
While this may be a legitimate business that, perhaps, fills a need for a larger company, the average person can simply go to the US Post Office website and forward their mail for no charge or next to no charge.
This company will charge $39.95 for their service with no email verification and no follow up to the charge until it shows up on a credit card statement (in this case, the card belonging to the parents of the unsuspecting young adult who thought she was at the US Postal Service website.)
If this does, indeed, happen to you, I encourage you to call the number of the company that will appear on your statement.
There is a "no questions asked" refund policy and you will get your money back. I did. However, many will believe the charge is necessary and legitimate; many will never bother to dispute it. Some will miss the erroneous charge on their statement altogether. I imagine this is how the company remains in business. In any case, the practice is misleading and unethical business.

I was attempting to change my address using the postal service and submitted through what seemed to be an official website for them. Before submitting and even after there was no price mentioned. I was expecting a $1 charge. Since then, I have been enrolled in some smart rewards program that I didn't ask to join and it brought a $59 charge. The initial charge was $79. All of this just showed on my online banking.
