Dear Huma,   The Revdex.com has shared with us your correspondence regarding your recent experience with [redacted]. It is my understanding that you are upset that the seat you selected for your trip to and from Maui were not confirmed. Also, when you arrived at the...

[redacted] the room you were originally given only had 3 beds instead of 4 that you had booked. I appreciate the opportunity to review your account, and respond to you.   On behalf of CheapTickets, I would like to apologize for any frustration and inconvenience this has caused you.   Please know, during the booking process on the CheapTickets site, most airlines do provide us with a seat map so our customers can request the seat they prefer. However, these are requests, and can only be confirmed by the airlines directly. When you selected a seat on the seat map available on our site, we sent the request to [redacted] for them to confirm or deny; unfortunately, in this case it seems that they did not confirm the seat requests you had made.   Huma, I have contacted the [redacted] and they have advised that while you selected a room type with a description of a king bed, 2 twin beds, and a sofa bed, they did initially provide you with a room that only had a king bed, queen bed, and a sofa bed. Please understand all room descriptions are provided to us by the property directly and this is the information that was sent to the hotel when you confirmed your booking.   Nevertheless, when we do learn situations like this, CheapTickets takes immediate action to prevent any unfavorable experiences for our customers.  In this case, I have notified the appropriate parties of your complaint and the issue is currently under review.  Our hope is that this valued criticism will allow them the opportunity to make improvements where necessary and therefore, modify how their property is presented to the public.  We thank you for bringing this to our attention.   Furthermore, as a gesture of goodwill, CheapTickets would like to offer you a $200 future travel voucher on your next CheapTickets.com booking.  Our future travel voucher is meant to emphasize our commitment to you and we remain hopeful you will continue using CheapTickets for your travel planning needs.   Here are the instructions for the future travel voucher:   When you make your next booking on CheapTickets.com, please forward a copy of the CheapTickets Travel Document email to us at [email protected].  Please reference case number 5634131 and my letter offering the $200 future travel voucher in your request.  CheapTickets will then issue a credit to the card used for the new booking.  This offer is valid for one year from the date of this letter, until January 19, 2017.   Huma, we appreciate your business and do hope you will continue to use [redacted] in the future for your travel needs.   Sincerely, Shalon [redacted] CheapTickets Customer Relations Chicago, IL

address the comments and concerns which have been brought to our attention. CheapTickets is disheartened the customer felt their concerns were not resolved adequately by our company prior to seeking further actions from you.CheapTickets is responding to the consumer complaint from [redacted]Revdex.com case number [redacted]) regarding a refund for a package reservation. We understand from the customers complaint she was unable to utilize her hotel reservation and as a result purchased to return home. On May 9, 2016, we contacted [redacted] to acknowledge receipt of the Revdex.com complaint but were but were unable to reach the consumer. Our records indicate on March 6, 2016 the customer booked a package reservation for three traveler using CheapTickets website. The customer purchased a 6 night hotel reservation at V[redacted] & Beach Resort, checking in on March 22, 2016, and checking out on March 28, 2016. The customers round trip flights were operated by [redacted] Airlines, departing from Cooinda to Puerto Vallarta on March 22, 2016, and returning on March 22, 2016.From the customers complaint we understand that she is requesting a full refund of her packages airfare, the new tickets purchased, and the cellphone roaming charges. CheapTickets serves as a third party intermediary with travel providers such as hotels, car rental agencies and airlines and is subject to the rules and restrictions of those providers. Based on the hotel cancelation policy agreed upon when booking the reservation, “Cancellations or changes made after 11:59 PM local hotel time, Tuesday, March 08, 2016 are subject to a hotel fee equal to 2 night(s) plus taxes and fees. Cancellations or changes made after check-in are subject to a hotel fee equal to 100% of the total amount paid for the reservation.”Our records reflect that on March 30, 2016 a call was made into our customer service regarding the customers difficulty with checking in to her hotel reservation. Due to CheapTickets being a third party intermediary our agent reached out to the hotel to request a full refund of the customers reservation. Due to the system error the hotel agreed to authorize a full refund of the customers hotel reservation. A full refund of the hotel reservation totaling $1652.76, was processed on March 30, 2016. As [redacted] was operating carrier for the flights, we have to abide by their rules and regulations. Based on the fare rules, the ticket was non-refundable with a change penalty fee of $200 per passenger. Due to the ticket being canceled prior to the return flights departure the customer still has credit remaining for the return portion of the tickets and may contact our customer service at any time to utilize this credit. Due to the fare rules that were agreed to upon the booking of the reservation we are unable to authorize a refund of the full flight reservation along with the new tickets purchased. We sincerely regret that we are unable to offer a more satisfactory response or resolution to Ms. [redacted] concern. At CheapTickets we try as much as possible to provide not only excellent customer service but we also try to exceed what is expected of us. However we know that there are some instances when policies associated with the purchases made on our website cannot allow for a resolution that is more favorable to our customers. We thank you for allowing us the opportunity to address the issues, brought to our attention. If you have any further questions or concerns regarding this matter, please feel free to contact us. Sincerely,Hayden [redacted]Tier 3 Customer Service

Dear Ms. [redacted],
The Revdex.com has shared your recent correspondence...

pertaining to the fare rules associated with your reservation, and the ticket validity. I appreciate the opportunity to review your account and respond to your concerns.
Upon reviewing CheapTickets record locator [redacted], I do show the booking was reserved on April 25, 2015 via our online service.  During each booking process, CheapTickets provides the rules and restrictions pertaining to the chosen reservation.  Prior to confirming the reservation, you must agree that you have reviewed and agree to the terms and conditions.
Ms. [redacted], I have reviewed the fare rules of your reservation, and the fare rule of [redacted] is a nonrefundable fare rule.  I also show that this was advised on October 3, 2015 by our agent as well.  It was advised that new travel must be rebooked, and completed by April 24, 2016.
[redacted]
PENALTIES
CANCELLATIONS ANY TIME TICKET IS NON-REFUNDABLE.
Ms. [redacted], all airlines only allows a one year validity on tickets that allow cancellation for future credit.  Once the one year validity has passed, the booking is purged, and we no longer have access to the booking.  We certainly regret your disappointment; however, we are unable to grant your request as we do show it was properly advised that the ticket was nonrefundable prior to purchase, and by our agents directly.
Thank you again for the opportunity to address your concerns.

Dear Mrs. [redacted]
Thanks for contacting CheapTickets via the Revdex.com regarding your recent [redacted] experience.
We are deeply sorry to hear of the difficulty you've encountered. However, CheapTickets has no...

control/oversight of airline irregular operations, delays/cancellations, aircraft and/or maintenance issues, and/or airline personnel, etc. Regrettably, he sole party responsible for such matters is the airline carrier - in this case [redacted].

Therefore when CheapTickets learns of such issues, we take action by notifying the appropriate party - the airline - of the concern. We also advise our customers to contact the airline corporate offices directly of any complaint. That way, the airline has an opportunity to review the problem, make any necessary adjustments to their operation and/or service, and address the customer.
Please understand, only the organization responsible for managing airline operations can fully address your concern. Unfortunately, in this case, CheapTickets is an unbiased third party. We have no purview to investigate the airline operations and personnel issues you've described - [redacted] is an independent company/airline carrier; not under CheapTickets management or authority. I apologize for any disappointment or misunderstanding in this regard.

Re: Orbitz Case #: O-[redacted]
Dear Revdex.com,
Thank you for taking the time to contact CheapTickets regarding an issue from our customer.  We appreciate the Revdex.com allowing us to address the comments and concerns which have been brought to our attention.  Orbitz is disheartened the customer felt their concerns were not resolved adequately by our company prior to seeking further actions from you.
CheapTickets is responding to the consumer complaint from [redacted] (Revdex.com case number [redacted]) regarding flight reservations. We understand the customer is requesting a refund of $21.99 for the CheapTickets booking fee.
Our records indicate that on April 13, 2016, the customer booked flight reservations – itinerary [redacted] – using the self-service tool on the CheapTickets website. Travel was on United Airlines, departing April 18, 2016, from Dallas, Texas to Atlanta, Georgia, returning April 29, 2016, for one passenger.
Upon further research, we were able to confirm on April 13, 2016, that the customer cancelled their flight reservations within the 24 hour free cancellation period, thus the amount of the airlines ticket was not charged to the customer’s credit card, however, the booking fee of $21.99 was charged by CheapTickets.
As the reservations were canceled within 24 hours of the initial booking, CheapTickets processed a refund for the $21.99 booking fee back to the customer’s original form of payment. The amount of time it takes for the customer to receive a refund depends upon how quickly their credit card processes refunds.
We hope that with the information provided, we have addressed all of the customer’s concerns and look forward to assisting them further with their future travel needs.
If you have any further questions or concerns regarding this matter, please feel free to contact us.

Sincerely,

Dear [redacted],

11pt;">

The Revdex.com has shared your recent correspondence pertaining to your Best Price Guarantee claim on your package under CheapTickets locator PBCTIX8839526714 not yet being approved.  On behalf of CheapTickets, I apologize for the delay, and appreciate the opportunity to review your account and respond to your concerns.

Upon reviewing your account, I do show that in December there were issues with you being able to access the Best Price Guarantee form to submit your claim.  Please know that I was able to locate your email requests along with the screenshots of the lower price found.

[redacted], I do show that the lower fare found on [redacted] was at a rate of $2148.22, and the package reserved via CheapTickets was at a rate of $2396.70, so I have processed a refund in the amount of $248.48 back to the Visa card used to confirm the booking.  Please allow 3 to 5 business days for the refund to process.  Also, I have added the $50 in CheapCash to your account as well, and these are available for your review.

[redacted], we apologize again for any inconvenience this has caused.  We do appreciate your business, and hope that we have a future opportunity to serve you.

Tell us why here...

Terrible, terrible, terrible. Cheaptickets.com has provided me with the worst costumer service I have ever received. I made flight reservations with the company for spring break and it has been a nightmare trying to get my flight information. I have spent 2+ hours on the phone with their barely understandable Indian call centers, speaking to supervisors and managers getting no information. One had the audacity to hang up on me after 45+ minutes of constantly putting me on hold. This is the worst airline booking service I have ever used. I will never recommend this to friends.

We understand from the customers complaint he is requesting a full refund of his canceled ticket. Our records indicate on December 10, 2015 the customer self-booked a one-way flight reservation for one traveler. The customers flights were operated by Delta Airlines, departing from Dallas, TX to New York, NY on December 15, 2015.Since CheapTickets is a third-party booking agency, we must receive authorization from the vendor manager to process a refund or compensation on the customers reservation. As Delta Airlines was the merchant of record and the company that charged the customer’s credit card, we have to abide by their rules and regulations. Based on the fare rules that the customer agreed to at the time of booking, the tickets were non-refundable with a change penalty fee of $200 per passenger and ticket would be charged. In addition, the customer would be responsible for any difference in fare. The customer also must complete prior to one year from the date issuance. Our records reflect the customer calling customer service on December 14, 2015 to cancel his reservation at that time the customer requested a full refund of the reservation. Due to the customer purchasing a non-refundable ticket the agent advised that the customer will retain flight credit but is unable to receive a refund. The customer then contacted customer service on November 30, 2016 to use his flight credit. The customer was advised that per the airlines fare rules, travel must be completed prior to December 10, 2016. Also the customer would need to sustain change fees initiated by Delta Airlines. We regret to hear Mr. [redacted] did not accept our response and/or resolution offered. After further review of the call that took place on October 14, 2016 we are able to verify that the customers insurance was canceled without his permission. Due to the insurance being canceled a full refund of the insurance was provided.Per the call recording and the customers complaint to the Revdex.com we understand that the reason that Mr. [redacted] is requesting a refund of the canceled flights is due to him booking the reservation without consent from the card holder. After further research of the customers insurance policy, this reservation is not eligible to be refunded as booking without authorization from a card holder is not covered. As this was not a CheapTickets error rather a customer error a refund will not be authorized for this reservation. Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/04/23) */
Dear Mr. [redacted]
The Revdex.com has shared your recent correspondence pertaining to the airline fare rules associated with your booking under CheapTickets record locator PBCTIXXXXXXXXXXX. I appreciate the opportunity to...

review your account and respond to your concerns.
Please know that all airlines charge a fee on nonrefundable tickets if any changes are made. On domestic tickets, most all major carriers charge a $200 exchange fee if any changes are made to the reservation. They also require that any difference in fare is collected at the time of the change as well. This is standard airline policy no matter if your ticket is reserved via CheapTickets or the airline directly.
Mr. [redacted] I have reviewed your reservation and the fare rules associated with your booking, and I do show that the ticket reserved is non-refundable. The airline fare rules were advised at the time of booking, and were agreed to prior to confirming your reservation.
Mr. [redacted] we will be happy to waive the $75 CheapTickets fee due to the circumstances, but we are required to follow all airline rules and restrictions, and we are not authorized to waive the airline penalty fees. I wish that my response could be more favorable.
Thank you,

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
As I mentioned in my complaint I received a cancellation notification - which seemed to have been false information and which was never corrected. I did attempt to reach cheap tickets by phone twice the same day upon learning of the cancellation, but could not reach them at the phone number given in the message.
If the onus is on me to reach cheap tickets before the scheduled flight departure date, and the number given is not reachable, there was really nothing more I could do but purchase another ticket through other means - which I did.
Had cheap tickets never sent me the inaccurate cancellation message, I would have taken that flight without complication.
Cheap Tickets is not taking any responsibility for their mistake, and I am forced to pay for it.
I will never use their services again, and will advise others not to as well, should anyone ever ask me to recommend an online ticketing agency.
I will not pursue any more attempts to obtain a refund through your agency, which if it was a professional first-rate agency would have arranged a refund immediately upon cancellation if it could not arrange an acceptable alternative travel arrangement.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

I had to go to the Philippines from Knoxville TN. I went last Winter and used [redacted] A round trip ticket was $2000 then. This fall, I went to book again only this time wanted just a one way ticket. [redacted] and [redacted] both wanted $3000 for one way and $6000 round trip. I tried other sites with the same quotes. I finally found Cheaptickets and not only was the fare just $1000 but the route was much better with half the layover times!! I looked for bad reviews at different sites and forums and the only bad reviews I really saw were is posting that it "looks shady". I guess the word "Cheap" scares people. Most reviews I read where the people actually tried the service were of a positive nature. I booked the flight and right away had my confirmation numbers. The trip went well and I now have my fiance here with me in the states. I am posting this review because I only saw one posted and it was negative. Thank you for helping me get my fiance, I hope this post helps someone else in need!!

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: I have given them all the information necessary for a response. I am unhappy the company is stalling for more time.
Sincerely,
[redacted]
