Better Business...

Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

1.  They sent me a precanned letter that basically said too bad we can do whatever we want and don't care that you were inconvenienced.
2.  I still don't have a new card. 
You would think that they would send new cards out ASAP after turning off everyone's old ones but here we are 3 weeks later and still nothing.
If they want to turn your card off whenever they want the least they can do is overnight you a new one.

Citi sent this vague letter stating they have the right to close my account and that they do not have to respond to the Revdex.com. I feel their way was underhanded when I did make payments they just didnt like how I...

was paying. I was in touch with their customer service regularly and prior to closing the acct. I am clueless about what I am to do. There remains a balance that I will continue to pay. This negatively impacts my credit for 7 years. They deny any fault and do not care.  Not resolved for me but for them...case closed. [redacted].

My name is [redacted] and I am giving written consent for citibank to realease information concerning my account to the Revdex.com. I was told verbally and via email which I have a copy of. That I did not have to make any payments on my [redacted] credit card until a issue concerning a refrigerator that was purchased and some unauthorized purchases . I was told that the payments would be deferred until the problem was resolved . I didn't pay like instructed. I later was hospitalized but called Jan to make a payment thats when I was told that my account was behind now all I need is for this to be resolved I can and will pay each penny I owe my [redacted] account was in excellent standing before I got ill. I was written a letter from citibank that they will assist and I am ok with paying my bill and salvaging my credit I was lied to and deceived by [redacted] then Citibank My daughter told me citibank turned me into a collection agency without allowing me to call my daughter called twice after I received the letter and Citibank refussed to discuss the account with her for some unknown reason. I have tried but I have been in a medical induced coma for over 2 months please help me I have been treated unfair yes I have documentation from citi kenya blackwell and letter from Sear saying my account was froze due to fraud and damage fridge I need my credit fixed by Citi

Thank you for your communication regarding [redacted]’s Best Buy account.  Due to privacy concerns we are unable to release customer information to the Revdex.com.  We responded directly to [redacted]'s concerns.

There has been no resolution offered by Citi.

The letter simply says sorry for the inconvenience.  It does nothing to address the problem, which is that the programming to "trip" fraudulent activity is too sensitive on my credit card.  There is a fraud department within the company that could review and revise this programming but this is never offered.  This is the third time in the past year that this has occurred and nothing is ever changed.  The entire situation was handled in an unprofessional manner and that was not addressed either.  As it stands everything is exactly the same as before I submitted this complaint.

is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.I would like the following added to your website for future individuals that deal with Citi Bank.I am okay with the resolution and would still question their response.  It took 10 phones calls for me to speak with a Manager that explained the true issue.  Then they had me fax my receipt to them.  Why would I need to fax them the receipt for something they already have in their system?  It cost $10.00 to fax it which I was not reimbursed for just cause they gave me the interest charges that does not make it right.  I would not have paid the interest had they credited me the $650.  Plus who uses a fax anymore that is so old tech?  Even the Staples guy was surprised I was using a fax machine.  I used their card and their link.  Then in the letter from them they say I did not use the link I have image captures from their website of every step taken because I was not fully trusting their process.  Due to the other dealing with Citi Bank.  They also imply the address I provided was different?  How is that possible when they send me a bill and card to that address?  The only difference was I had to fax them my receipt from a Staples.  Their customer service while nice gave me the runaround for three months asking me to wait the two to three billing cycles when my friends and family got their statement credits going through the same process in one billing cycle.  It took me asking for a Manager before they explained what was going on.  It sounds like they give you the runaround to get the interest up on the balance.

Services.  As a business that aims to provide a positive cardholder experience, we endeavor to resolve all cardholder issues in a thorough and satisfactory manner. [redacted] describes a situation where fraudulent activity has occurred on his account and he has contacted Citi Prepaid Services on several occasions in an attempt to clear up this activity. A provisional credit was provided to [redacted]’s account in the amount of $1,029.50.  In addition, we have sent a provisional letter to the address of record in hopes that we can learn more about the fraudulent charges. We attempted to contact [redacted] on several occasions but received his voicemail on each attempt.  A voicemail message was left on each of these 3 call attempts. First of all I did not request the offer,  it was offered to me by the cashier.  Second,  even if I did request the offer the disclaimer was not provided to me in any form,  whether written or verbal.  As you stated,  this offer is not advertised anywhere which means that the disclaimer does not exist and your response will not hold up in court.
