While purchasing a 2.99 guide to test out this company, my order was automatically increased to $3 and the 1c was apparently my tacked on without my agreement as a ?trial membership? to cc online - which I never agreed to and never wanted nor used. Once the ?trial? period was over they automatically started billing me for a dull PRO subscription which I do not want nor did I ever agree to. Totally a misleading and unethical company, but it?s very quick to say that I cannot be refunded for ?intellectual property? or ?monthly memberships? when I never agreed to sign up for in the first place. Horribly high pressure sales and unethical sales tactics. Definitely do not trust this company.

Hello, Sorry for your frustration. I looked up your account and see that you opted into our 10-day trial to Cole's Classroom Pro during your recent purchase. An "add-on" purchase to another product at the time of checkout. In this case at the time of checkout you were offered a $0.01 trial. In order to accept this trial & the terms of use, you have to check the box. You'll also note that the text includes full explanation of what to expect and when the auto-charge will occur.
On that page, we indicate that after the trial period you will be auto-enrolled in the program if you do not cancel beforehand. We also sent you both a confirmation email and invoice on 10/04/2019., which both state the terms of the trial in bold lettering. I can see that you also received (and opened) an email on 10/12/19 indicating your trial was about to expire. We have received your email inqury aout this and we have processed your refund. At this point, I think it's fair to say that we always do our best to be very clear about the billing logistics with our month to month membership but we understand life can get hectic and things can be overlooked. But one thing is certain, we at Cole's Classroom never charge any of our customers manually or in any unauthorized manner. Any and all charges that occur are only from our customers initial purchase actions.

Scam! They entice you for $1. NOWHERE does it say that $1 is for only 10 days and then they are going to charge $49 a month! The video says she is given you all these things for only $1 because she just wants people to have access to trainings that make it easier to be a good photographer. At no time in the video or on the advertisement does it say the $1 is just for 10 days. Nowhere does it say after 10 days they are going to charge you $49 a month. I only noticed the amount coming out of my checking account. There is nowhere on their website to contact ANYONE! Obviously this is how they make money by fooling you into thinking you have access to certain things for as long as you want for that $1 and if you want more, you can choose to enroll in other opportunities. It's very obvious they aren't being honest and then making it impossible to contact them. Do not trust them!

Hello, Sorry for your frustration. I looked up your account and see that you opted into our 10-day trial to Cole's Classroom Pro during our recent order. You signed up for a $1 trial through a free webinar we hosted. In this case, we also expressed both verbally & on the presentation that there's absolutely no "catch" but this is in fact a 10 day trial with unrestricted access and then on day 11 there is a $49 charge - if your membership isn't cancelled before. We also sent you both a confirmation email and invoice on 11/02/19, which both state the terms of the trial in bold lettering. I can see that you also received an email on 11/10/19 indicating your trial was about to expire. Specifically, it reads: "This is a friendly reminder that your account will automatically renew after your trial ends. Your trial ends at 12:01am on Tuesday, November 12th and your first billing will occur on that date. Note, since you get full access with over $1200 in classes there are no refunds. You can cancel whenever and will have access until the end of your paid billing period". We also received your email on 11/15/2019 for cancellation and refund request - and this was already processed.

I just purchased a mini session made easy guide for $9.99, which I was billed and invoiced correctly. While making this purchase their was an advertisement for the client mini session guide, for $19.99, so I?m what the hell with it. Next thing I know I?m getting an invoice for $47.00 for the client mini session guide. This is NOT what was advertised when I submitted my purchase. I?ve always attended the free classes but was skeptical of buying the pro membership because of reviews so I thought I would be safe by being what I needed. Very disappointed.

Hello, Sorry for your frustration. I looked up your account and see that the error was corrected right away when you email us last November 7, 2019.

This page is entirely a scam. My situation is very similar to other complaints on this site. The same pattern. I have to call my bank now to dispute this payment.

Hello, Sorry for your frustration. Please email our support team at [email protected] with the details of the membership. Unfortunately, we are unable to look further into the account concern without more information. Thank you!

This company is definitely a scam! They say they email you about the membership trial, but they don't. I bought a $3 posing guide and then see a $49 charge for a membership. I remember seeing the upgrade feature, and I didn't select it.

I never even logged in to their page to use their services. Already disputed the charge with my bank and reporting them so other people don't waste their money.

STAY AWAY!

Hello, Sorry for your frustration. I looked up your account and see that you opted into our 10-day trial to Cole's Classroom Pro during our recent order. I signed up for the $1.00 7 day course. They have billed my cc for the full course 49.00 for 2 months. I never agreed to anything other than the 7 day sign up. I have contacted my CC company and have filed a dispute with them.

I don't like the fact that after signing up for $1.00 usd, I was automatically registered for more training materials and course. My bank account was debited the fee--without my authorization. I tried to contact Cole's: they simply un-registered me, but would not refund my fee.

I agree with the other reviewers that this is a complete scam. They bury the auto-renewal terms and while they claim to email you a reminder, the email ends up in your spam folder or promotions folder in gmail. Even if you contact them the minute it renews and you don't access the material, they still say you're out of luck. DO NOT PURCHASE - their customer service is unwilling to listen or be helpful.

Cancel your trial right now if you already started one before it?s expired.
YOU WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY CHARGED REGARDLESS OF WHAT PACKAGE YOU SELECT FOR UPGRADING.

I thought I would learn something new about this online webinar style class. The videos were less than informative, I was expecting the ?101? class to break down things and explain what it all really meant in more simple terms, but it was just a guy in front of a video camera pointing out buttons on a camera that I couldn?t see.
Fortunately I paid for this online class with a prepaid card, that could not approve the amount they wanted to charge me. But alas, I still received and email saying ?I needed to log online and pay my unpaid dues.?

I thought maybe this is a sneaky way of getting money out of someone, did I miss something in the email?
I sure did!, but here?s the kicker, they send you a BIG LONG email explaining to you all the great things you will learn, and all the benefits of being a ?Pro member?

And at the BOTTOM of the email, they explain that you will be charged a renewal fee if you don?t log on and cancel your account access before the trial ends. THIS IS THE SCAM part. I think it?s safe to say that many users have been conned into paying for a service they abandoned way before their trial was over.

Another thing I found interesting was the advertisements through the site to upgrade your account were all over the place, I didn?t select or accept any of these discounted plans during my trial because I had assumed doing so would have charged my account the PRO UPRAGE charge once the trial was over.

It seems as though it doesn?t matter if you selected monthly, 6 months or buying a year in advance to save even more, Cole?s Classroom will just charge you that monthly class fee regardless.

Bad business model that seems they can only make money scamming people who have a passion for wanting to learn how to expand upon their passion of photography even more.

What happened to paying for a real TRIAL, and business being transparent and honest up front about auto charges after the trial ends?

Apple send me an email informing me of the trial that was started for an application download, and right below the $0.00 charge for the trial, they provide a link to cancel that trial right away to avoid being automatically charged.

I purchased a posing guide. When I checked out it added the $27 up charge and automatically charged my card without letting me review my purchase. I immediately requested a refund. Got a reply email stating a refund would occur the next day. When I checked my account, not only was I charged the $27 but it was double charged on my bank account with no duplicate email. In addition, the content was not delivered. When questioned about the content, they stated it was in my spam folder. Thus, I checked every fold I had, searched for "cole's", found nothing other than the emails I sent. Therefore, I am waiting for a return email about refunding my account for the "special" you were running for the posing guide. Purchase was on Tuesday 9.24. Response email stated a refund would be issues on 9.25. On 9.27, this is the 5th email I've sent with no response. Furthermore, I sent 4 messages to the *** messenger. Someone replied "let me check with support" and never got back to me. I have the emails, the photos of my account, and invoice for proof my account was double charged, the link not sent, and no one is responding to my emails. I would hope someone will address this please in a timely manner and refund my $54 and send the content which was paid for.

Hello, Sorry for your frustration. Duplicate orders can happen if you accidentally click the submit order button more than once during the time of checkout. I can see that the incorrect charge and the duplicate charge were all refunded on 9/27/2019.

I signed up for the $1 ten day trial. Before the trial was over I cancelled my subscription because every day additional features kept becoming unavailable until there wasn't anything of use left. On June 14th I was charged $49 even though I had cancelled the membership renewal days before this. I chat with a representative that day for a refund and was told that they saw my cancellation request and would refund me. Never happened. Their chat representatives would always claim they couldn't find the previous chat transcripts agreeing to do refund me, but would be happy to refund me anyways. I chat again...and again...and again...AND AGAIN. It took until September 18th and me threatening to report the company if I didn't receive a refund for them to finally give me my money back from 3 months prior.

I am having the same difficulty as Merina, thought I was signing up for a 99 cent lesson, then I find my cc has been charged 49.95! I had no intention to join, nor did I realize that I was being obligated to purchase something else. I have gotten no answers to my e-mails and wish to cancel immediately and get a refund of the 49.95. Boy, has this company taught me a lesson about reading the fine print!

It shows that you have opened this email Our records indicate that your account was canceled and refunded per your request on 9/23/2019.

I don't recall signing up for a $49/monthly membership. I would never have done so since I don't have the time to take advantage of it, as can be seen by looking at how much I have (NOT) used it. I would appreciate a refund of the $147. It's really a shame that they feel they have to deceive people into joining. Maybe their materials are worthy without the sneaky evergreening process that occurs w/out even a monthly notice of billing. Even my medicare plan warns me every month. Sleazy!

Very-very disappointed and frustrated. I've been trying to contact them for weeks now but no response. I only purchased a $1 "No catch" deal for 1 credit download, but they are still charging me $49 per month for pro membership for two months now, which is almost $100 in total for literally NOTHING. As it turned out it was a 10 days trial as well which renews automatically, not considering that I haven't used my account neither have I received any bills just about my very first $1 charge. Additionally, the system does not allow me to cancel my pro membership, but on my account it is still stated I'll be charged again on the 9th of September. Very very suspicious and tricky, they advertising their no catch deals without any refund opportunities. Be very very careful with them, once they get your bank details it is hard to make sure that they won't charge you the next month. Still waiting for their response about a possible refund and cancellation of my membership. I'm very disappointed, they seemed trustworthy.

Just gone through their free webinar and was tempted by the $1 offer, but also wary that they were giving so much away, and wondered what the 'catch' was - which is what lead me to these reviews. It does say when you submit your details that it is a $1 ten day trial, but there is no mention of the fact that you will then be charged $49 a month unless you cancel - not on their sales page or in their free intro video. I also clicked on the very tiny text below to take a look at their terms and conditions, but it didn't take me anywhere.

Plus they impose a time limit on signing up which does not allow much time to read the small print. So I guess I've missed out on this one off time limited offer....oh but wait! Funnily enough, the offer to subscribe remains, even after the time limit is up! Also if I click again on the original link it re-starts and gives me another 15 minutes.

Well this just gives the impression they are using misleading sales tactics, including deliberately concealing the fact you are subscribing to a $49 a month membership, and giving people the false impression that they are purchasing a course for $1 and have to make a decision quickly. The $1 offer did sound too good to be true, and as they say, when something sounds too good to be true that's usually because it is!

Hello, Sorry for your frustration. Please email our support team at [email protected] with the details of the membership. Unfortunately, we are unable to look further into the account concern without more information. Thank you!

Same experience as many previous customers. The terms and conditions are set in a very deceptive way; you start a free trial, and it is absolutely not obvious that you will be charged on a regular basis after your trial expires. Apparently it was somewhere in the e-mails, incorporated in a sneaky way.

I have spent the last half an hour trying to cancel my "subscription" that deceptively crept on me. I can`t find an option "contact us", and the section "cancel your membership" is not clickable. My profile clearly states that my membership is free.
Horrible business practices and no ethics whatsoever.

This company has very deceptive business practices. I bought a $3 ebook from them 2 months ago from a Facebook ad. I got an email stating I was enrolled in a ?free? 10 day trial of some premium website. Nothing in the email stated an auto subscription would result after the 10 day trial.

Fast forward to today. I get an email stating I could get a month refund if I upgrade my subscription. I think to myself, ?when did I sign up for this service?? I bought a very mediocre posing guide ebook, but I never subscribed to anything?. Then I finally log in and see two months of charges at $49 a month.

This is how they get you! They figure you just want the ebook and by using vague language, you will also think that after the 10 day free trial, there?s nothing more unless you log in and subscribe. (I.e. a consensual authorization, which clearly did not happen here)

Technically, I?m sure this company has a slew of lawyers that helped them write up something just vague enough that what they are doing is legal. It doesn?t make it ethical though.

Do yourself a favor and unfollow this company on all social media and never give them your credit card number. I?m out $103, and with a baby on the way, that?s money that could have gone towards diapers. All I got for $103 was a very mediocre posing guide which will disappear from my saved links unless I print it.

It took me a few hours to cancel. The link to the site was very laggy and the cancel button would freeze. Then I was asked about 8 times again of I wanted to cancel or pause my membership, but the wording was very vague. I was almost afraid to push the cancel button because I worried it wasn?t for the membership, but to cancel my session on the site.

Like I said, everything is very vague with their wording. This is on purpose. This is how they get you.

As a professional photographer for the last 17 years, don?t fall for these Internet photography charlatans selling their version of a photo training Ponzi scheme. They teach you very basic regurgitated skills and then you realize the industry is saturated with low quality amateurs and only way to make a decent living taking *insert something like baby pictures hereis to turn around and sell your own guides, webinars and presets?thus the process of selling basic photography skills continues. More people are selling skills than actually using them.

They are selling very basic knowledge that can be found online for free. I bought their ebook as a refresher and quickly realized it was super basic. I didn?t care because I figured I was only out $3. Sadly I was wrong. Now I realize it was just a ploy to get me enrolled in their membership website. Very deceptive and shady.

Also, customer service is virtually impossible. They do not respond.

Ever wondered why you can?t review their services on Facebook? This is why. They turned off reviews.

The person responding below is blowing smoke up all our butts and they know it. Legally I?m sure they are covered, but it?s still deceptive. There was NO OPT IN for $1. All I have is an invoice for $3 for an ebook. Nothing on that invoice or in the following emails indicated I would be charged $49 a month. Please stop it with your scams. Also, Crystal likely works for the company. Nothing was clear and I have every email to prove it.

Don?t waste your time.

*I canceled my account today and have a screenshot of the cancellation notice and email.
