Review: The received 3 to 4 calls everyday amount my past due balances for the Swiss Colony, Monroe and Main and Ginny's. I am going through Consumer Credit Counseling of SF who has contacted all three creditors and offered a payment plan around May 1. Payments have been made and received by all three companies and the calls still continue. I have called at least three time about the calls and was told that the calls will continue because the accounts are past due even with a payment arrangement in place. I asked that the calls stop but I was told no they will continue unless I brought the accounts current.Desired Settlement: I want the collection calls to stop and to receive some kind of statement stating the payment arrangement was accepted.

Business

Response:

Ms. [redacted] payment proposal through Consumer Credit Counseling Services has not been accepted. Swiss Colony's records indicate Ms. [redacted] placed an order in the amount of $352.12 on April 7, 2014, more than doubling the balance on her account. Less than three weeks later Ms. [redacted] submitted a payment proposal through CCCS. Ginny's, Monroe & Main and Swiss Colony generally suspend late fees and finance charges for accounts in CCCS, but will not until 90 days after the most recent purchase on an account.

It appears that CCCS has begun submitting payments of $20 on Ms. [redacted] accounts. The payments are sufficient to keep Ms. [redacted] Monroe and Main and Ginny's accounts current. Due to the recent purchase however, a $20 monthly payment will not keep the Swiss Colony account current. CCCS can resubmit a payment proposal in July of 2014. Until then Ms. [redacted] will be responsible for the minimum payments due on her accounts.

Review: I returned an item in June at The Post Office for 25.90 before the bill was due. On 07/22/2013 I received a bill for $14.65. I haven't made any purchases. They only credited me for 19.95. They charged me for .75 in interest and 7.95 for a debit towards my account., past due amount of .05, average daily balance of 20.29. This is unethical billing practices. I do not owe this company a dime.

We received your correspondence from

order #[redacted] placed 5/29/13 via internet. We are sorry for any confusion

regarding your Ashro credit account, and consequent return of the Cuff Bracelet.

Review: The company sent a pre-approved catalog to an old address and someone used it to make purchases. I was no longer even residing in that state. I was unaware of until I viewed my credit reports. I contacted Ashro and made am agreement to pay off this debt and that this derogatory record would be removed from my credit reports. It was agreed that this would be removed when I paid the balance. I paid it. It is still on my credit reports.Desired Settlement: Remove this derogatory record from my credit reports

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

When I received the response to my original claim. I accidentally said I agreed with the findings.

Review: I placed an order with Swiss Colony the beginning of December. I called to change the order. I was told I had to speak with someone in the credit dept. She redid my order. She repeated my order back to me and gave me my new balance of $36.81 along with her initials C.M.R .and assured me this was my balance. I totaled up the items and my numbers were higher. I called back. I got a gentleman who I asked to give me the balance owed on my order. He gave me the same price. So I was confident that it was not a mistake. I received a bill from them with a total order balance of 64.84 less the 4.09 payment received. The bill has a note on the bottom changes or corrections mail in envelope enclosed... so I mailed my concerns about the change in price listed as to price quoted over the phone Twice. A few days after I spoke with the second person a lady called to ask if I wanted to add to my order. I declined. Shortly after three today a representative called concerning the statement I made on the invoice. I explained it all to her. She said it looks like The order taker forgot to charge me for one of my items ordered. I went o n to say but I was told that was my balance and she gave me her initials in case there was a problem and I called back and I spoke with a young man who also told me the same balance. She said I don't know what you were quoted (as if to say its my word against theirs). I am very sorry that one of their employee's forgot to charge me for one of my items. I am very sorry that the second employee did not catch that mistake and I am also sorry that the third employee called to try and talk me into adding to my order did not tell me that there was a mistake made in my balance. I am extremely sorry that I was (in essence) called a liar by this 4th contact by the Swiss Colony Company.Desired Settlement: I understand people makes mistakes. It would have been nice if I was told they made a mistake and they are sorry and not make me feel like I made it all up ("I don't know what you were quoted"}. I would like for them to honor the quoted balance I got from TWO of their employee's and they should record all transactions so other customers won't be made to feel as though they are liars.

Review: I placed an order with these people on a preapproved catalog for 400 which has been my normal credit line with these people for years.Ive paid them perfectly the whole time and for the last 3 days I kept calling them and they kept only saying they would redo the order and it would be shipped the next day not one time did they tell me they were giving me the credit that ive always had and the credit THEIR catalog says im preapproved for I expected a small downpayment ive always had one but was just informed they will not honor whats they advertise to me now they want it paid in full so its to late for me to get it elsewhere my family's going out of town so they lied and mislead me and they need to be held accountable for their terrible business practices?Desired Settlement: they should show on the Revdex.com a deregatory remark for the way they do business they send out preapproved credit books and dont honor them then they mislead you in their phone conversations instead of being honest about how they treat their customers I want a deregatory remark left on their report stating that they do this behavior now thanks to them half my family isnt getting a christmas but they say they family run yeah ok

Ms.[redacted] has established accounts with Swiss Colony affiliates Ginny's and Montgomery Ward. Ms. [redacted] placed an order with Ginny's in July that exceeded her available credit limit. Ginny's requested a copy of her consumer credit report to determine if additional credit could be extended to her. In response, Ginny's received the following:FRAUD VICTIM EXTENDED FRAUD ALERT: ACTION MAY BE REQUIRED UNDER FCRAGinny's informed Ms. [redacted] by mail that additional credit could not be extended unless she contacted the company regarding the order. Ms. [redacted] placed also an order with Montgomery Ward in July and received the same message. There is no indication Ms. [redacted] contacted either company to resolve the fraud alert. When Ms. [redacted] placed orders with Swiss Colony in December, the fraud alert remained in effect and she received the same message she had received previously. The letter specifically asks that she personally contact the company to resolve the consumer alert so that her order can be released. Ms. [redacted] did not contact Swiss Colony and the orders have not been released. Ms. [redacted]'s accounts have been closed in accordance with her request.

Response:

Review: Business failed to follow through on agreement and provide "pay for deletion " after debt was paid in full. Item is still listed and affecting my credit report.Desired Settlement: Deletion from my credit report as agreed.

Business

Response:

Ginny's does not offer or accept deletion of account information in exchange for payment of a delinquent account. Ms. [redacted] account was charged off as a loss in July of 2009. When she paid the account in full in November of 2012 the status of the account was updated to reflect the pay off. The information furnished to the consumer reporting agencies accurately reflects the payment history and current status of the account.

Nonetheless, under the circumstances and given the small balance on the account. Ginny's has elected to request deletion of the account information from Ms. [redacted] credit file. Please note that this change may take up to 30 days to appear on a consumer credit report.

Review: I have repeatedly disputed two negative accounts from the Colony Inc companies (Through the Country Door and Ginny's) for illegally reporting negative information for unauthorized orders made by a minor that was visiting my home at the time.

The minor was given my credit cards to use for toiletries/food but also chose to use the gift store charge accounts online for the aforementioned companies. They made unauthories orders and then only one or two payments using my credit card. I retrieved my card when they left and they forgot about the purchases.

They didn't have permission to sign into my account (was was prepopulated with my password) and purchase from either company. I only found about about the charges after I checked my credit report and saw the negative entries.

At first I decided to offer to pay a reduced fee for deletion of the negative entries.

That was refused. I was given a higher amount and it was also stated that the negative entry/account would not be deleted.

At that point I contacted a law firm and was told that I was not liable for unauthorized charges.

I filed disputes for the charges and Through The Country Door and Ginny's sent me an Identity Theft report. During this time I also contacted the FCC via phone regarding Identity Theft. I was informed by a rep at the FCC that what occured was NOT Identity Theft it was Unauthorized charges and in my case filing out an Identity Theft report would not be appropriate. They told me to contact the creditor and to get them to take the charges off as they were unauthorized.

So, I contacted both companies (TTCD and Ginny's) and informed them of what I'd learned via the FCC.

The reps were trying to force/encourage me to fill out the form anyway because it would make things easier for THEM. I told them that they were not above the law and that I wasn't going to do anything illegal or unethical. They refused to delete the accounts/negative info.

They then sent me a letter offering a large (50%) reduction but the account would be listed as a partially paid COLLECTION. That negative information would still effect my credit for 5+ years. That is unacceptible for something I am not liable for.

I filed several disputes but the Credit Bureaus didn't read/investigate. The automatic confirmation of illegal, inaccurate information and subsequent block of me being able to dispute the entries has been extremely frustrating.

I need help getting the negative information deleted from both accounts.Desired Settlement: Deletion of any and all negative information associated with the two accounts (Ginny's and Through the Country Door). This includes removing the unauthorized charges, late payments and any collection or information associated with those charges. The accounts would not show any charges be listed as paid as agreed, always current/no lates, and closed.

Business

Response:

Both of Ms. [redacted]' accounts were opened in June of 2013. The billing address on the accounts when they were opened was 1636 1/2 S. Orange Dr., Los Angeles, CA. Monthly billing statements and collection notices were mailed to the same address. Both companies made regular attempts to contact Ms. [redacted] by telephone seeking payment of the account. Despite these numerous attempts to contact her, Ms. [redacted] alleges that she did not learn of the accounts until she saw them on her consumer credit report. Ms. [redacted] is correct that consumers are not responsible for unauthorized charges - provided they promptly report the unauthorized charges to the issuer. Ms. [redacted] had ample opportunity to dispute the charges at any time during the period in which she received billing statements, collection notices and telephone calls regarding the account. She failed to do so. It is the position of Country Door and Ginny's that their is a reasonable basis to believe that the accounts belong to Ms. [redacted] and that she is responsible for payment of the balances.

Ms. [redacted], President & VP Merchandising

Through the Country Door

To Whom It May Concern:

We recently received a Catalog from Through the Country Door, and planned to order several items to furnish our new home.

Today I called the 800 number to place an order for a love seat and a chair. We are moving into our new home on November 24, and I asked the lady on the phone if the furniture could be delivered that afternoon.

This is what I was told:

1. We can’t confirm a delivery date.

2. I asked: Will I be contacted to get a delivery date? Her answer was “No”

3. I asked: I have to sit at home and wait for a delivery which does not have a delivery date? She said: “Yes”

4. I asked: What if we are not home, and we work and cannot sit at home for days waiting for something to be delivered. She said: Put a note on the front door and they can leave the furniture on the front porch. WHAT KIND OF BUSINESS OPERATES IN THIS MANNER?

5. She said: Once we place the order, we have no control of the delivery. I immediately cancelled the order.

I am terribly disappointed in the way you handle your business and will make sure we, and our family member never order anything from you.

Sincerely,

[redacted]Desired Settlement: To be able to receive my order.

Review: I have had an issue with this company for several years. In 2007 this trade line was added to be credit report. A few years ago I pulled a copy of my credit report and there were trade lines on my credit report from accounts I did not open. I called each creditor and reported that this was not opened by me and the creditors all removed there trade lines except this company. I called this company a couple weeks ago to again advise them this trade line needs to be removed from my credit report and I spoke with 3 different people 2 of which stated there were management. I spoke with [redacted] and [redacted] which were management and also a Desire who REFUSED to give me her last name, I don't think that is very professional when you are representing the company you work for, seems like your hiding something. One of the first things I had an issue with was all 3 people I spoke with NONE of them gave me the call disclosure statement nor did they have proper verification on who they were speaking with and that is potential 3rd party disclosure which is breaking the law per FDCPA guidelines. I have spoken with an attorney and I have the recorded conversation and we are prepaid to move forward with a lawsuit if this is not resolved properly. This is not my account and I want the trade line removed from my credit report. I disputed this a few years ago and I thought it was resolved. This account was opened in 2007 and it is now 2015 per all 3 credit reporting agencies this should have all ready been removed after 7 years. Also when I was speaking with the rep. she also gave FALSE information regarding my credit report. I am also contacting the FTC,CFPB, as well as the attorney generals office. And I am also prepared to move forward with a law suit for 2 managers as well as a worker breaking the law per FDCPA.Desired Settlement: THIS TRADE LINE NEEDS TO BE REMOVED OFF OF MY CREDIT REPORT

Review: I have contacted this company and spoke [redacted] who stated she was a customer service manager, I also spoke with Desire who refused her last name or info and also spoke with a [redacted] who claims she was a manager. when I spoke with all 3 of these individuals there was no verification of identity to who they were speaking with, there was no call disclosure statement given. First and foremost those are 2 very big violations of FDCPA.FTC,CFPB. I will be contacting my attorney about. I explained to all 3 rep's that this account was fraudulently opened using my information and this was back in 2007 and at this point should be off of my credit report anyways. I also explained that a few years ago when I found fraud on my credit I called all of my creditors and everyone removed there trade line but them. Kelly stated they sent out a fraud packet to me but never received it back I explained to her I never received it and at this point it has been 7 years and needs to be removed from my credit report immediately. per all 3 credit reporting agency's they have stated after 7 yrs things get removed no longer [redacted] was stating this will be on for 10 years I advised her she was incorrect and she needed to speak with her boss and I demand this is removed or I will be pursuing this matter. she stated she would speak with her boss who was Aron Brewer and he stated he was not having it removed! I am contacting the Revdex.com of WI, the Revdex.com of NY, the CFPB, FTC also the attorney general office in WI as well as NY. I think this is crazy for 400.00 in 2007 that should be off my credit.Desired Settlement: There company needs to be removed off of my credit Bureau

While Mr.

[redacted] Seventh Avenue credit account was opened in 2007, it was not charged

off as a loss until January of 2010. The date of first delinquency furnished to

the consumer reporting agencies is January 16, 2009. The consumer reporting

agencies will use the date of first delinquency to determine when the account

information is outdated and should be removed from Mr. [redacted] consumer credit

report. It is Seventh Avenue’s understanding that this occurs approximately

seven and one half years after the date of first delinquency.

Mr. [redacted]

originally disputed this account in April of 2012 by submitting a dispute

notice through a consumer reporting agency. At that time, Seventh Avenue mailed

an identity theft affidavit to his attention. It was not returned. Given the

activity on the account – including multiple payments – Seventh Avenue’s

investigation determined that the account was opened by Mr. [redacted] and that he

was responsible for payment of the balance.

Seventh

Avenue did not hear directly from Mr. [redacted] until August 31, 2015, at which

time he called in and again disputed the account. An identity theft affidavit

has been sent to Mr. [redacted] attention for him to complete and return. Seventh

Avenue will investigate further if and when the affidavit is returned.

Response:

We received your

correspondence from the Revdex.com regarding order #[redacted] placed

by phone 8/30/2013. We regret any confusion regarding the contents and billing

of this order.

Review: I recieved a statement in the mail from said business stating that I had ordered product from them and I was ordered by them to remitt payment in order to recieve what I had ordered. The statement did not detail what I had supposedly ordered. First of all, I have never heard of the company before and I hadn't "ordered" anything from them. I called them to find out if perhaps someone else had placed a false order using my personal information. I was given the run around. They weren't helpfull at all in trying to resolve or investigate the matter. They couldn't tell me anything. In fact they couldn't even tell me what I had supposedly ordered from them. I believe this company is dishonest and misleading and trying to scam people by sending them billing notices demanding payment for items they never even ordered. After getting no help when I asked them to investigate why charges were being made using my name, I asked to be removed from their computer database and also from their mailing list. My request was never affirmed. I was told that my only option was to contact my local police dept.Desired Settlement: I would like my name and personal information removed from their databases and not be contacted again by the business. I would also like them to discontinue misleading business conduct of false billing practices. Also, if someones personal information is used incorrectly they should investigate the incident properly and resolve the issue. They should also have safeguards in place not allowing just anyone to place orders for merchandise using someone elses name and/or personal information if that is the case.

Response:

Montgomery Ward received an order in Mr. [redacted] name on May 27, 2015 that included a request for an extension of credit. The order included Mr. [redacted]'s personal information, including his home address and social security number. The shipping and billing address on the order were the same: [redacted] Montgomery Ward sent a request to Mr. [redacted] for a down payment of 50% of the order total before a credit account would be opened in his name. Mr. [redacted] received the request for a down payment and informed Montgomery Ward that he had not placed the order. Montgomery Ward has not shipped the merchandise or opened a credit account in Mr. [redacted]'s name. Nonetheless, Mr. [redacted] should be aware that someone used his personal information in an attempt to open a credit account and may wish to take precautions to prevent similar occurrences in the future. Mr. [redacted] was not on Montgomery Ward's mailing list prior to the order and is not on its mailing list now. Montgomery Ward will add Mr. [redacted]'s information to its fraud file to prevent any future orders from being processed.

[A default letter is provided here which indicates your acceptance of the business's response. If you wish, you may update it before sending it.]

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Review: My name is [redacted]. I am submitting this claim to your attention due to the unfair business practices exercised by Seventh Avenue. Seventh Avenue does not contact the credit bureaus to see if the name of the person for which credit is being requested has some sort of protection where they are supposed to be informed whenever someone is applying for credit using their name. If they would have contacted one of the credit agencies they would have found that I had credit protection. I am filling on Monday an Identity Theft report with the City of Milwaukee Police. I am disputing a mail order item that was never ordered by me but by someone else who somehow obtained my personal information. On 3-10-14 I received a letter from Allied Data Corporation dated 2-28-14, indicating that they were attempting to settle an account (Account # [redacted]) on behalf of Seventh Avenue on the amount owed of $534.92.

I called Allied Data Corp. was informed that Seventh Avenue only that Seventh Avenue had referred the account to them for settlement. I contacted Seventh Avenue by phone on 3-10-14 and disputed the claim.

Seventh Avenue (Credit/Dispute Department) informed me that on 2-2012, someone had ordered from their magazine a “mini wireless keyboard” and that the value was $534.92.As per Seventh Avenue they do not have any signature for the person who received the package for it was sent via regular mail not UPS. As per [redacted] from the Credit/Dispute Department they never check with the credit bureaus when someone applies for credit with them. Seventh Avenue as well as the ID THIEF OR SUSPECT together they hurt my credit with their policy of not contacting the credit reporting agencies to find out if I had credit protection on my credit profile. When a person orders by mail they are applying for credit through that company, there are interests and financing to be paid, not much difference from a credit card. Credit card purchases or junk mail orders need to be held at same standard when it comes to preventing fraud. Seventh Avenue approves credit from left to right to anyone who fills out a purchase order without checking for fraudulent information. They need to be held accountable, indirectly hey are assisting the fraud problem.

I have had a postal box for more than ten years and I have never received any electronic equipment at my home address or my postal box. Allied Data Corp. sent me the collection letter to my P. O. Box and Seventh Avenue could have send me a letter to my P. O. Box the same way after a few missing payments instead of waiting two years to damage my credit. I would have appreciated to know earlier notification about this to initiate an investigation sooner.

I am willing to cooperate with law enforcement agencies in any way possible in locating and prosecuting the person who committed this fraud.Desired Settlement: DESIRED OUTCOMES

1- ADD STORE POLICY TO CONTACT CREDIT BUREAU AGENCIES PRIOR TO APPROVING CREDIT TO CONFIRM CREDIT PROTECTION AND PREVENT IDENTITY FRAUD ON MAIL ORDERS.

2- SET POLICY OF ESTABLISHING OR VERIFYING IDENTITY PRIOR TO REFERRING TO COLLECTION AGENCIES AND REPORTING TO CREDIT BUREAU.

3- NEED TO BE MORE PROACTIVE IN PREVENTING IDENTITY FRAUD. WE ALL LOSE IN THIS ISSUE.

Review: I ordered a wig from Midnight Velvet that cost 78.90. When I received the merchandise it was very poor quality so I returned it using their return label per instructions. I have not had a previous account with this company so the wig was the first and only item I have ordered. I should have been charged for return postage on;y. Which was $6.00. Instead 3 weeks later I receive an invoice that states I was charged:0.95 interest charged;7.95 purchase/balance transfers. When I spoke to a customer rep on 6-22-15 to ask why I was being charged $22.85 I was told I was charged 13.00 and some change for postage and handling. However that amount does not show on my invoice. At that point I explained that I would make a customer review of the product ordered as well as report to the Revdex.com the exorbant charges for return postage. I asked them to CLOSE my account. I do NOT want to do further business with them so they have no reason to charge me intersts. I have not kept any merchandise of theirs so they should NOT be charging me any balance or transfer fees. My experience have demonstrated to me that the quality of their merchandise is poor based on the exorbant prices they charge customers. I want midnight velvet to waive the $22.85 fee they charged to my account. I want them to also CLOSE my account with a balance of Zero. I will pay the 6.00 for sending the wig back but, I should not be charged interest fee or finance fees because I sent the product back within a week. In all honesty with the inconvenience they I put me through I should not have to pay postage for returns. I was very disappointed in the quality of their product and ordered this for a special occasion that was ruined as a result.Desired Settlement: Close account with zero balance.

Review: I made a purchase online with a gift certificate- and when asked I had to supply my credit card number as well. The company charged my credit card rather than use the gift certificate that I had entered online. After several weeks of disputing this with the company, the credit my credit card and said they would apply the gift certificate to the balance.

Today I received a bill in the mail from them. Not only did they not apply the gift certificate they opened a line of credit in my name, in which I did not authorize. Review: opened a line of credit with Ginny's back in 2008. Had a charge off amount of 32.00 which was paid. The account is being reported closed on all three credit bureaus. A few months ago I received a catalog from Ginnys so I decided to check my account on line. My account from 2008 was still open with a credit line of 750.00 and a zero balance. I ordered a set of towels and paid the account in full a few days later. I called Ginnys and asked why they were reporting my account closed and charged off to the credit bureau. I asked them that if it was still open would they consider updating it to reflect a positive status. They told me no, they only report negative information. I disputed with the 3 major reporting companies, and the only updates that Ginnys gave them Transunion and Equifax was that the last payment received was now 7/2014. Account still being reported as closed and charged off which is untrue. I have sent Ginnys a FCRA 623 letter as of 8/11/2014. Should arrive by 8/14/2014.Desired Settlement: Would like negative tradeline removed from Transunion, Experian, and Equifax credit Bureaus. Review: Item was bad when delivered. I called Seventh Avenue and they sent me complimentary return labels. I did as they said when the labels showed up. Put on box of item and dropped off at post office. Now three weeks later I have calls all hours night and day from collections. I have called Seventh Avenue Customer Service and was told they would note my account. Again a rude person from collections. Yelling at me because I refuse to pay for something I don't have. They then proceeded to call me a liar after I stated I was shipped a complimentary label. "You are lieng sir, If you didn't pay shipping and handling you didn't send the item back. So upset I call customer Service again. I got a person who was sick and mad at the world with the worst attitude. After getting No where with her I asked to speak with a manager. She put me on hold. After 46.38 minutes of holding time I hung up. Once again rude call from collections and continueing rude calls night and day from collections. I did my part. I sent the item back. It was no good. Why am I being punished for them sending out bad faulty product. Why am I being punished for being honest.Desired Settlement: I want an apology for being treated like I don't matter.

Review: I have received a bill from a company by the name Midnight Velvet who published a inquiry on my credit report, and pull my report without my consent, and also billed me for an unauthorized charge, that I did not make, which is on my credit report as a charge off. I have contacted this fraudulent company before 3 times in a row, and there was no response. I contacted the credit department and I was told that by customer service that someone will be giving me a call, but no one returned my phone call. I also have a fraud alert on my credit file, which stop other people from using my information.Desired Settlement: I would like for the company by the name of midnight velvet to take the charge off bill off my credit report, I did not make that charge, nor authorized it, if not taken off, the company will be sued for fraudulently billing me for an unauthorized, this matter should have been spoken with me before it hit my credit record, I have no charge offs on my credit report, this company is harassing me with a bill, or shipment that I did not received.

Review: I ordered and received a Slim Book from Ginny's. After I got it it would not work very well so I packed it all back up and sent it back with the pre paid postage slip they sent me. A few weeks later they start calling and mailing saying I owe them $40.00 for shipping ?? I shipped it back to them I didn't keep anything. I talked to them on the phone and told them I am not going to pay for nothing not 40.00 to ship back their item that they gave me a postage free slip to mail it back.. Now they have added 10.93 more to the bill saying its past do. They are calling me sending treating letters saying they are going to mess up my credit and that they are going to charge me 10.00 extra for late fees until I pay them for a item I did not keep.. I feel this not fair to charge me and keep adding to the bill when I sent the item back on time . Can you please just stop them from bothering me?
