Review: First, when I placed the order, the catalog said items would come in "Special Midnight Velvet zebra print boxes". They did not. I emailed them several things about the boxes and they refused to send them. I advised them that I would be returning everything if I could not get the boxes. The basically ignored me and their products looked nothing like the displays in the catalog. I was not happy and returned everything on 12/23, with a signature request card. The package arrived there on 12/30. The back ordered item I simply marked return to sender. I mailed a copy of the signature card and got no response. They are calling me several times a day and sending bills for the entire order, all of which I sent BACK. Now they are threatening my credit score. This is the hardest to deal with company I have ever encountered.Desired Settlement: I owe them nothing. I have sent all the info they need and it just mysteriously disappeared, just like the items I returned. They need to fix this ASAP!

Response:

We received the correspondence from the Revdex.com regarding your order # [redacted] placed 11/28/2014. We sincerely apologize for any disappointment regarding your order. The majority, but not all, of our Midnight Velvet products are shipped to our customers in a cardboard, zebra stripped shipping box. On this box is glued the shipping labels. This box is a shipping box, not a gift box. We apologize for any misunderstanding. We have no record of receiving back any of the three items on your order. Per your phone call on 1/22/15 we issued credit for 2 items. We have as a courtesy, now given a full refund on your order, and your account balance is zero. Sincerely Midnight Velvet Thank you,[redacted]Customer Service

Review: I have a bill in my possesion dated 2/7/15 with a due date of 3/5/15 stating I owe $19.15. I paid that amount on 2/18. I went online to make sure my payment posted and noticed it said I still owe $10. I made an inquiry and was told because I did not pay this amount by 2/17/15 I have a $10 late charge. The bill shows a due date of 3/5/15. How can I be charged a late fee on a bill that is not due until 3/5/15. Nowhere on my bill does it state I incured a late chargeDesired Settlement: I would like this $10 fee taken off as my bill says I owe $19.15 by 3/5/15 and it was already paid

Business

Response:

According to the laws of the state of New York, a late payment fee on a consumer credit account cannot be assessed until the payment is 10 days past due. A payment of $10 was due on or before February 5, 2015, which Ms. [redacted] failed to pay on or before the due date. A new billing statement was prepared and mailed to Ms. [redacted] attention indicating a payment of $19.15 was due on or before March 5, 2015. A late payment fee of $10 was assessed on February 17, 2015, when no payment was received by the end of the 10 day waiting period required by the state of New York. Ms. [redacted] payment of $19.15 was received on February 18, 2015, leaving a balance of $10 on the account. Swiss Colony has credited Ms. [redacted]'s account to remove the late payment fee. The account now has a zero balance.

Review: I am writing regarding this company sending me to credit bureau I dont have nor have I ever had anything to do with this company. I live in a townhome where I've had problems with mail, etc. But, hopefully I have taken care of this. In addition, I am also under the impression that this company would have to have some type of a credit account I had signed or my debit card something to allow them to setup an account? I never received anything from them, I don't know what Swiss Colony is but, I want this to be removed from my credit bureau reports in addition with a letter sent to me following up stating it has been removed and I will not hear anything further about this. Meaning, there isn't an account of just in my name that is legal and binding.Desired Settlement: I want this to be removed from my credit bureau file immediately with a follow up letter mailed to me from the company. I have no knowledge of this account!!

Review: I too have a account with this company and never received any bills at first with any account info on it. I tried calling the company and was told I didn't have a account with them just my wife [redacted] well I waited about two months and and my wife just got her's cleared up and received her account number finally, well back to mine I checked my credit report in May 2015 and on it was a collection from Seventh Avenue for $342 I again called them and again I was told I didn't have an account there and that irt would be removed from my credit account. It wasn't and I send letters request info on the debt and they failed to send it and it remained on my credit report, so to keep from getting a more worse credit rating I started sending them $5.00 a month at the first of the month started in June 1, 2015 and they still will not give me the account number and state that I have no account there, well I have sent them $30.00 total so far and it is still on my CR if I don't have an account take it off or send me a bill or validate the account showing my payment history and the new balance, mainly the account number also if it validated then I get it paid off quicker but don't want to send more payments to an unknown account.Desired Settlement: Send me the correct account number and the payment history and if it is mine which I am not denying I just want the correct info and have it removed from from my credit report asap and I will pay the payments it calls for to eliminate the debt, I have sent serveral letters requesting this info and they have never answered me or even sen a bill to me. Remove it from my credit report as a collection or a write offor charge off.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I want to know for sure they are removing it from CR and it is an open account in my wife's name that I have been sending payments too all along and shouldn't be placed in a collection status and give her the credit of the payments that I have paid and will continue to pay till paid in full.

Regards,

I wanted to warn consumers about this company, particularly involving "Seventh Avenue", a mail order catalog. Seventh Avenue sent me an unsolicited catalog, and written on the front cover a large arrow stating "Exclusive Credit Offer!" With my name printed inside of the arrow. Inside the cover, my Printed name was surrounded by such verbiage as "choose and charge" and "exclusive credit offer" once again, and ALL indications that I had been pre selected for a line of credit with this company. On the second to last page, an order form again with a "confirmation code" and also a "choose and charge" box with a computer printed amount of "Up to $400 and pay only $25 a month" inside of the box, again leading me to believe I have been pre approved for up to $400. Based on all of these advertisements, I decided to try and help my credit by "accepting" the offer using me confirmation code, and tried to make a medium sized purchase, well under $400. Within 24 hours, I received an email stating my credit application had been declined and I was receiving a letter explaining why. Now, my credit has a taken another hit with a hard inquiry, that never would've happened if I weren't lead to believe I had been pre approved. Every other credit company that has advertised I have been pre approved, and I applied, I received a line of credit based on what was sent to me. This only leads me to believe this company is engaging in false advertisements and deceptive practices only to gain more customers, by misleading them via the magazine mailer. This needs to be rectified immediately before more people's credit is harmed.

Payments are good. But quality not. I paid 220.00 that's including the shipping cost for an island and it's the cheapest made thing. I would not shop here again. Over priced for the quality.

Their business conduct is less than ethical.

Review: This is regarding an outstanding issue that has been in existence for years and the Colony/One Step org has failed to resolve.I made an on line purchase for window gates. The item wasnt what I expected. I returned them for a refund minus shipping cost.I was provided with a gift card that had no expiration date.I used a portion of the refund amt resulting in a $145 bal.At this time the one Step organization had 2 divisions:1)One Step which catered to babies-toddlers 2)Leaps& Bounds for young boys which my growing son was becoming.I attempted to make a purchase in June& July 2013.I was told that the company had been purchased& due to the system changes, I was unable to make a purchase.(See email).I followed up and was told the same thing but was assured that once the company was combined there would be far greater offerings.I continued to receive booklets in the mail and the products appeared to be more limited than ever. The new company disbanded the Leaps and Bounds product and my son had simply outgrown One step.I finally contacted the company in 2014 and requested a refund. I was placed on hold multiple times for extended periods as they attempted to research my account. I was finally forwarded to the Team that was handling One Step issues. I spoke with a supervisor and was told even though the policy did not allow for a refund, given the fact that I attempted to make a Leaps & Bounds purchase and was unable to due to the systems shut down during the conversion and the fact that the company no longer offered suitable product offerings, they would refund the $145.I was told the transaction would take several weeks and I would receive the refund in the mail.I called to follow up on the status of the refund.A supv told me that leadership decided it didnt make sense to refund my money given that I obviously wouldnt be a continued customer. I asked for, have yet to receive a call. I was told that my refund card # wld not work in the new sys. Have yet to recv a replacement.Desired Settlement: I am requesting your assistance with obtaining the refund of the $145 that I have requested from Colony Brands for nearly a year. I attempted to use my credit in 2013. I should not be penalized because their systems were down for weeks during their merger. I was told by a member of One Step management that an exception was obtained and I would receive a refund. I have followed up multiple times. I have not received a call back. I have not received a replacement card. I want a refund.

Call Credit Department and was about to paid bill will [redacted] mention about if I set up my accounts with my checking account then when this problem happen again then it will not be a problem. I told her go ahead and do that. I also told her not to do Midnight Velvet because it is not due until the 5Th of each month and I will just use my Credit card she said fine. We go off the phone and that was that. I woke up the next day and fell something was not right. I call back the credit department and I was so right. I got a lady name [redacted] and see was RUDE!!! I told her why I was calling and see told me that [redacted] charge me 1 dollars processing fee for all of my accounts and did not set up the automated service. She even had Midnight Velvet coming out of my Checking account. I told [redacted] that [redacted] did not tell me about a processing fee nor did I tell her to charge Midnight Velvet to my checking account. [redacted] said will it has been done and their nothing she can do about it. I told her why I am being charge for something I did not ask for. She told me to bad and I should have not given [redacted] my account name. I ask to speak to supervisor and she said she would tell to one for me. She came back on the line and said her supervisor told her that he can cancel the Midnight Velvet but could not cancel the other transaction. I told her I am not paying for something I did not ask for so I ask for the corporate number and she hung up on me. I call back and got Jan and told her what the problem was and she said that she had a sick husband a home and she was leaving. She will give it to her supervisor and for me to call back on Wednesday, February 4, 2014. Still did not get the problem solve and I am on Vacation. Thank you, [redacted]Desired Settlement: To not charge me for something I did not ask for. I was going to paid with my credit card but [redacted] recommendation was a great idea so I took her up on it. If the problem can not be solve then close all of my accounts period.

Business

Response:

Each of the companies with which Ms. [redacted]ton has an account offers its sincere apologies for her recent unsatisfactory experience with a customer service representative. The $30 payment on her Midnight Velvet account and the $1 fee on all accounts have been reversed. As an additional courtesy, each company has credited Ms. [redacted]ton's account for the most recent finance charge assessed. This adjustment will appear on her next monthly billing statement. Finally, it appears that the customer service representative intended to offer Ms. [redacted]ton the opportunity to enroll in an automated payment service that is offered by each of her companies. If that was her intent, it appears she neither made the offer to Ms. [redacted]ton properly, nor did she complete the enrollment process correctly. The companies again apologize for this experience. Nonetheless, enrollment in the program would allow Ms. [redacted]ton to travel in peace, without worries about computer crashes, internet access or other potential service interruptions. The plan would charge the minimum payment due each month to a checking account, credit or debit card of Ms. [redacted]ton's choice on the account due date. If Ms. [redacted]ton is interested in this program she can call the credit department of any of the companies with which she has an account for more details.

Review: I have 5 different accounts based out of the same Billing Center under different company names: 7th Ave, Ginnys, Country Door Inspirations, The Swiss Colony and Monroe and Main. For the past 2 years (or longer) I haven't received my monthly bill from the latter 3 companies (they all seem to be due on the 10th of each month), however I do receive my monthly statement/bill from 7th Ave and Ginnys (they are due later in the month). I have contacted Country Door & Swiss Colony on a number of occasions about this problem without any satisfaction, at one time back in January 2015 or even before a representative at Country Door looked at my 'history' and said the bills were being returned and even gave me dates, at that time I contacted my local Post Office and they haven't been able to locate any problems on their side. I recently made a purchase through Monroe and Main and for the last few days have been receiving phone calls from them. My husband returned the call yesterday only to be told that my payment is past due........I never received a bill, he explained the situation and the representative verified my information and said she would look into it (he made the payment also), now today I get a Late Notice from Monroe and Main, why did the Late Notice find it's way? Why do all the catalogs from these various companies get delivered to my mailbox, but I can't seem to get the bill? I called Monroe and Main and spoke to 2 reps only to have the 2nd one 'verify' all my information after explaining this for the millionth time, I am disgusted with these companies, I have told The Swiss Colony and Country Door that I am not interested in ever purchasing from them again and now Monroe and Main! I am looking to have this resolved as soon as possible and will be checking my credit report for any 'late payment' reports, because at that point I will be seeking legal action. Please help me get these companies to take this serious so I can receive my statements and pay them the money due without further action......I am tired of spending an hour or more on the phone every month dealing with this situation. Thank You.Desired Settlement: I simply want to receive my monthly statements so payment can be made.

Business

Response:

Swiss Colony, Monroe & Main and Country Door empathize

with Ms. [redacted] frustration. However, each of the companies (including

Seventh Avenue and Ginny’s) utilizes the same customer address database. As a

result, each of the account statements in a given month would be mailed to the

same address for all companies.

Given that the address on the statements for each of the

companies would likely be the same there is little the companies can do to address

this issue as the U. S. Postal Service delivers the account statements.

Ms. [redacted] failed to pay the required monthly payment due on her account on or before May 5, 2014. When payment was not received by May 19, 2014 a late payment fee was assessed in accordance with the laws of Ms. [redacted] state of residence. Ms. [redacted] payment of $45.30 was received and posted to her account on June 2, 2014, leaving an unpaid balance of $10. Finance charges were assessed on the outstanding balance for each month in which it remained unpaid. On March 5, 2014, Ms. [redacted] placed a telephone order with Country Door in the amount of $211.92, which was posted to account number [redacted]. Country Door has received the following payments on the account: 4/8/14 - $25.00, 5/6/14 - $25.00, and 9/8/14 - $73.00. The total of all payments on the account is $123.00.

Review: I ordered 2 chair covers and 1 loveseat cover. I got them in october. With shipping and tax the items were 108.00. The papers said that the payments would be 20.00 per month. The invoice didnt have the account number on it so I waited for a bill. The items have already torn, decided to keep them ONLY because it would cost me 35.00 to return them. I started getting calls from an UNIDENTIFIED caller collecting from Ginny's. I had just gotten a bill for 40.00. I called the office and told them that I didn't feel that I should get a collection call. They said that they would correct the matter. Last month (after paying 40.00) got a bill for 96.00. Called again and said that there were dadada fees. I told them that this was supposed to be corrected. Basically, thats the way it goes. I told them that I am only going to pay for the 108.00 that I owe and that is it. They said them we will send you to collections/credit bureau. I got a bill for 75.00 (last week I paid another 20.00 pmt). I only owe 48.00 to pay this account off an I still have torn merchandise. I will never purchase another item from this company group. I could take my chances better on ebay and have a guarantee.....Desired Settlement: I want to pay the 48.00 and take my losses on the fallty merchandise.

Review: I purchased/ordered this product from Home at Five. Reference # [redacted] approximately several months after purchasing the product I called to speak with customer service the product handle is loose the product started on fire electrical started shooting electrical sparks then started on fire when in use!!! I called again and requested a shipping label to return the product and the customer service representative refused to send me one, stating they don't send them I have to pay. She said nothing indicating a warranty or paying for shipment for return or a refund of what I already paid the product has been boxed/unused in storage for over a year. I would like them to pay or send me a shipping label I will return the defective product immediately upon receipt of the shipping label they can file a warranty dispute and refund what I paid to date on the account? And I called the manufacture and I explained the incident and they informed me to contact Home at Five regarding the product for exchange or credit.Desired Settlement: For Home At Five to send a prepaid shipping label and I will ship the defective product back.
