Review: I ordered a suit from Ashro. Returned in less than 30 days. I received a bill for $42.63. I called and tried to understand why I owed so much. They said it's for service charge. I expected to pay shipping and handling. I think the charge is too much. I agree I need to pay for shipping and the return fee of about $8.00 each way. I can't understand paying so much, and have nothing to show for it.Desired Settlement: Charge me a total of $16.00 for shipping and forget it

We received the correspondence from

the Revdex.com in regards to your order #[redacted] placed 7/22/2014

for the Liv Jacket Dress. We are sorry for any confusion regarding your account

balance.

Our guarantee is listed on the order

blank in the center of the catalog or online under Customer Service/Help and

states, “All items come with a money-back guarantee* only if returned within 30

days of invoice date. You may request a full* merchandise refund or exchange

(if available). The refund or credit amount does not include the original shipping charges or the

Our records indicate a prior order

returned in June for credit had a remaining balance of $7.95 due to the use of

the Smart Label for return of product. The new order placed 7/22/14 for $214.90

brought the balance on account to $222.85. The dress was returned using the

Smart Label option at a cost of $7.95 to be applied to your account when

returned. Upon the returns processing of the Liv Jacket Dress and credit for the

dress of $189.95 your remaining balance due was $40.85. The account had also

accrued finance charges as no payment had been

received.

We have, as a one time courtesy,

credited your account in full for two smart labels, original shipping and

processing and accrued finance charges. Please allow twenty four to seventy two

hours for your account to reflect a zero balance. We regret any inconvenience

Review: We are being billed and called almost daily. I have never ordered from this company, have never heard of them. They are threatening to turn me over to collections if I don't send money. When I try to find out what the bill is for they won't give me any information.Desired Settlement: I would like them to stop billing me and stop calling and zero out whatever account they show I have.

Response:

Received another bill from Midnight Velvet (Colony Brands) stating that they have charged a late fee and now the balance due is $122.36. Past due is $65 and minimum payment is $85. They are asking for credit card information or checking account.

Business

Response:

On May 9, 2014 Midnight Velvet received a notice from NCOA, a national database administered by the US Postal Service, informing the company that the address of its customer, [redacted], had changed. Midnight Velvet changed the account address in compliance with the notice and began attempts to contact the customer at the new address. Subsequent investigation indicates that the address change notice was sent in error. Midnight Velvet offers its apologies to Mr. [redacted] for any inconvenience he may have experienced as a result of this matter. Midnight Velvet has reversed the address change and removed Mr. [redacted]s telephone number from the account records. Mr. [redacted] should not receive any more calls from Midnight Velvet and should not receive any correspondence dated after today's date.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I would like an assurance in writing from Colony Brands that nothing has been turned into my credit that would have a negative effect on it. That was the threat with all correspondence I received - that they would ruin my credit. I would like a letter stating that it was all a mistake and that nothing is on my credit - I will be able to keep the correspondence in case something shows up later on.

Review: I am an Ashro customer, I have an Ashro Credit Card. My concern is, when catalogs are received, my FULL credit card information is displayed, along with my account credit limit on the inside of the catalog. I had contacted Ashro in regards to this issue almost two years ago, and the issue has not been rectified. I was told by a customer service representative that the ability to "X" out the card number could not be done. I explained that other credit cards that I had, had the ability to perform this feature for any communications that were sent to me.

My concern is if I do not receive the catalog and it may be delivered to someone other than me, this can open up the potential for fraudulent usage, not to mention possible identity theft. I believe that this situation needs to be corrected. IDesired Settlement: No store should reveal any form of credit information where it can be viewed by the public. This needs to be fixed.

Review: Hello, I currently am a credit card hold for Ginny's and I placed and order on saturday April 26, 2014. On Monday April 28th I got an alert from my credit report that ginnys had placed a hard inquiry on my credit report. So I went on line to see the orthat that iu placed hasnt been shipped. I also have a credit card with two other sister compnaies so I thought I might have forgot to make a payement. So I called and and I spoke to a heather ID#[redacted]. whom was very up professional so I asked to speak with a supervior . So heather came back to the phone and switched me to a supervior named angie whom was also very un professional. These are my questions. If I have been a customer since 2011 which was what I was told . I dont think that is correct. Anyways I have a credit card with this company. So why is my credit being checked if I have a credit card already. If my payment is in goodstanding why is my credit being checked. I was alos told that I dont have a credit limit with this company which I know that not true. How do I continue to place orders and I dont have a credit limit. Really. So I feel that the hard inquire that was placed on my credit by Ginny's needs to be removed. I also feel that I want this account to be reviewed to see why dont I have a credit limit. I remeber getting a letter in the mail and was told in that letter that If I made a purchase by a certain date that my credit limit would increase. Now Im being told there is no credit limit on my account. I feel the [redacted] is very unproferssional and that I nedd to be apologized to. I feel my order should be shipped cause how can they ask me for 50% of an order total when I am a credit card holder. I want to discuss the matter further.Desired Settlement: I feel the [redacted] is very unproferssional and that I need to be apologized to by her. I feel my order should be shipped cause how can they ask me for 50% of an order total when I am a credit card holder. I want to discuss the matter further. I want the hard inquiry removed from my credit. and I want my credit limit to be reinstated to to match the amouts that I have with the sister companies.

Review: I only purchased one pair of boots that was charged on my account through seventh avenue which has been paid off for quite some time ago. They are saying I have been deliquent and have a charged off account now and it was $454.00 and still owing $151. Definitely not true. I never even received a notice from from collections. I was even paying it every month. And I have even paid more than I was suppose to be paying from one pair of boots that was purchased for $109.00 I believe this could be a scam. I am angry. I will be not paying any more money. I do not owe any more money. They are even saying I opened the account in 2009. I opened it in 2013. This is illegal what they have done.Desired Settlement: A billing adjustment to zero amount owing and correction to all my credit bureaus. And re open my account but not sure if I will use it. I opened my account 2013 and I it would not take three years to pay off $109.00 plus interest. Even if I paid 10.00 a month, it would not take three years to pay off. I paid every month and never received a late fee. I called them a few times to tell them I would of paid them off long time ago. They never resolved it.

Business

Response:

Seventh Avenue's records indicate four orders have been placed on Ms. [redacted]'s account since March of 2013, in the amounts of $258. $30, $283, and $47. Items ordered include a 7" tablet, a chair, and a set of headphones. All of the items were shipped to the billing address on the account and all purchases were reflected in the monthly billing statements sent to Ms. [redacted]'s attention. Ms. [redacted] has made consistent, timely payments for the entire time the account has been open, and Seventh Avenue has no record of any previous dispute on the account.

Review: I had placed a complaint against Colony Brands back in October. The complaint was regarding charge-off accounts w/ Country Door, Ginny's, Midnight Velvet, Monroe & Main, Seventh Avenue and Swiss Colony/GrandPointe. These items were paid in full. As a courtesy, Colony Brands agreed to remove these negative items from my credit files. However, only Equifax and Experian were updated. The items still remain w/ TransUnion. I even submitted a dispute thru TransUnion stating that the creditor had agreed to remove items. This dispute failed.Desired Settlement: My desired outcome is for Colony Brands to finish their agreement to remove the items from my credit files. Thank you.

Business

Response:

The companies requested deletion of the account information in their November, 2013 scheduled update, then ceased reporting the accounts. In response to this complaint, the companies have sent an electronic notice to TransUnion to request deletion of the account information from Ms. [redacted] credit file. Ms. [redacted] should be aware that TransUnion is a separate entity and that the companies have no direct control over its actions. If TransUnion chooses not to delete the account information, the companies have no way of compelling its cooperation.

Review: I am a senior, 80 years-old. I do not appreciate you tying-up my line, calling daily, leaving unnecessary messages, etc., When you first started harassing this phone-line you stated: "You were a debt collector and was attempting to collect the debt." And now you are stating: "You have some important information to tell." You are a teller marketer trying to obtain business. I am not interested at all. I have emailed your customer service dept. stating that I insist that you discontinue these harassing calls. I have also contacted your service line number: [redacted] and used the caller block system on all your phone numbers but you still don't get it. You have leave me no other choice than to file a Revdex.com complaint against your business for continual threats to collect an unknown debt, and attempting to contact someone who doesn't know you exist.Desired Settlement: Discontinue your attempts to obtain business from me through extortion and harassment.

Business

Response:

Mr. [redacted] telephone number has been removed from the other Mr. [redacted] account records. Mr. Major should not receive any further calls regarding the account. Montgomery Ward regrets any inconvenience he may have experienced as a result of this matter.

Review: I tried to pay my bill online as I normally due and it would not let me. I emailed their customer service and they told me it would be fixed. I tried to log in again to pay it and it told me that I had to mail in my payment, but I could not even see how much I owed. I emailed them several times to get it fixed and they just keep telling me to call to get it fixed. When I call I am place on hold for a ridiculous amount of time. I changed my address several time with this company and it keeps getting changed back to my previous address so I do not receive statements in the mail. Now since I have not paid my bill, since I have no way to pay it, they have put it on my credit report. I also order from two of their partners and have never had any issues.Desired Settlement: Send me a statement to the correct address, which was supposed to be changed on my account along time ago. I will pay the full amount and I would like for it to be removed from my credit report seeing how you do not report all of the times that I had on time payments.

Business

Response:

Country Door has not had any reports of issues similar to those reported by Ms. [redacted], despite the fact that they apparently extend back to November of 2013. As a courtesy to Ms. [redacted], Country Door has recalled her account from the collection agency, reversed the charge off of the account and credited the account to remove all assessed late payment fees. Country Door has also changed the address on her account to the address listed on her complaint.

In order to maintain her account in good standing Ms. [redacted] will need to pay the Minimum Amount Due listed on her next billing statement on or before the due date listed on that statement. If the statement is returned, or Ms. [redacted] fails to make the minimum payment on or before the due date, the account will once again be charged off as a loss and referred to a collection agency.

Review: I received defective merchandise which they are billing me for. Parts don't fit, hardware doesn't work, improper screw alignment, etc. I have e mailed them about 13 times. They keep asking me what I want to do. I answer immediately (have documentation) and then never hear from them again. I've called and been put on hold or disconnected. I printed out 14 pages of emails. I had a computer person check it out, they stated the e mails had been sent and were marked as sent. This has been going on for 3 weeks. I've closed my account and will never, ever do business with them again. They deny they received the emails yet my computer shows they aren't being truthful.Desired Settlement: I want them to do what they claim they'll do, have the merchandise picked up and a prepaid label sent for same. I'm 71 years old and not capable of picking the half-moon, unassembled cart up. I don't want to spend another wasted two hours on a product that isn't inexpensive. It's not sold "as is" or damaged or on clearance. Why I would want to keep it for a discount price is beyond me, what good is something that can't even be assembled? I don't want to send another 13 e mails, I want what I've told them repeatedly. What a way to run a business. I don't want to be stuck for the cost of shipping, either. Why should I pay for an item that is no good. It's not like I had the opportunity to see if was junk.

Regards,

Review: Hello, I'm submitting a complaint in regard to Seventh Avenue. I was a customer with this company for a while, in which I had no problems, as I made various purchases from this company while paying on time until the products I purchased were paid off. However, during a period of time while having a Seventh Avenue account I was admitted into the hospital due to having heart issues, where many of my credit cards that I owned were used without my permission including this account by Seventh Avenue due to a roommate using such without my permission. I contacted Seventh Avenue about this issue and got no where, as by then my account had been closed, and a negative entry was reported on my credit report due to non payment of products that were not of my doing. The customer service representatives that I spoke to offered no solution to this problem. However, trying to do the right thing I went ahead and payed the amount due, even though such charges were not created by me. In this regard I would like for Seventh Avenue to remove the negative trade from my credit reports due to such not being of my doing, as I was away in the hospital dealing with a life treating issue when these charges occurred as they were unauthorized, yet I still payed the amount due on the account off.Desired Settlement: Due to the issues surrounding my account, I would like for Seventh Avenue to remove the negative entry that they projected on my credit report as such authorizations were not of my doing. The account was paid off by me even though I did not create such charges. I would like Seven Avenue to delete their entries on my credit reports.

Business

Response:

The information regarding Mr. [redacted] account has been updated to reflect its current status as a paid charge off. As a courtesy to Mr. [redacted], Seventh Avenue will request deletion of the account information from his consumer credit report. Please note that this change will take 30 days to appear on a consumer credit report.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Regards,

I received an order acknowledgement from a company named Seventh Avenue located in Monroe, WI, indicating that the order I had placed has been had been shipped. I had not ordered anything with this company and the order was sent to a third party in another state that I do not know.

Upon contacting the company, I learned that they do not require any payment or credit card info to order and ship an item. All that is needed is a name, address and social security number to run a credit check. Unfortunately for me, this theif has obtained my name/address/social security number and relayed it to this company. Based on my good credit, the transaction was processed.

I have contacted the company and I know I am not responsible for the order. However, my identiy has been compromised. I advocate that retail online transactions NOT be allowed to be processed in this fashion. Retailers are taking a hit with no way of collecting from the thieves BUT the real victims are innocent people like myself, who have to try to secure their financial status which have been compromised.

Review: I was reviewing my credit report from all 3 bureaus an noticed a $198 charge from Swiss Colony. I contacted Swiss Colony via CMRR on June 25th. Initially asking them what the debt was for. I received a letter a few weeks later with a generic print out of an account balance which had the account owners name as a name I never go by. I sent another letter to Swiss Colony July 10th asking to verify the purchases of the alleged debt and have yet to hear back from them. The way they are reporting on my credit report monthly as new charge offs is ridiculous.Desired Settlement: I would like the Swiss Colony account removed from my credit reports immediately.

Business

Response:

Ms. [redacted] account was charged off as a loss and

referred to a collection agency in March of 2009. The Swiss Colony has not

actively reported any information regarding the account since 2013. Given the

age of the account information and the small balance owed, Swiss Colony has

elected, as a courtesy, to request deletion of the account information from Ms.

[redacted] consumer credit file. Please note that this change may take more than

30 days to appear on a consumer credit report.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. Just an FYI. Swiss Colony has been reporting on all my credit reports on all 3 bureaus. What they stated was false. I will be happy once the account is removed. As of today its still reporting.

Regards,

I filed a complain against The Swiss Colony in Monroe, WI for opening up a credit line without my permission. They never responded to Revdex.com. This week I called the company directly after receiving another letter stating that the account was still open with no charges on it. Spoke to a representative who apologized for the error and closed the account. Today, I received a letter from the company stating that the account was closed. Needless to say, I will never order from this company again but they have finally followed through and resolved the problem.

Review: RE: Montgomery Ward Credit DepartmentThis issue all started when I ordered some items for my home from Montgomery Ward. I got the items I ordered fine the trouble started when I got the bill. First off I was getting a bill in my name which is correct, then I noticed bills coming in my daughters name [redacted] for the same products, she has never asked Montgomery Ward for credit she sent them a letter letting them know she has not requested any kind of credit from them what so ever. They never sent a bill in her name again but they also never apologized for that mishap (I still dont know how or where they even got her name from) what they did after that is put my name on the bill that had her name on it but they had already sent me a bill so now they are sending 2 different bills in my name. All they did was take her name off the duplicate billing and put it in my name so now I am being charged twice for the same products. Trying to get a hold of someone in their billing department is impossible. When I finally did get a hold of someone they said they would look into it but I never heard anything else the CSR also said they sent a letter out to apologize for putting an account in my daughters name in error. But I have not heard anything nor have I gotten a letter of apology just a bunch of collection calls every day along with bills stating the account is past due and that I need to send a payment immediately, along with other threats to my credit. This is THEIR error not mine and I dont appreciate it not being rectified in any way, it is like they dont even know what they are doing as a comp may this has been a horrible experience. This needs to be fixed before I can pay them there should only be ONE Montgomery Ward account under me [redacted]. Until this is corrected I am not going to pay on it I want it fixed and any late fees associated with their error removed from this account.Desired Settlement: I want my bill corrected there should only be one bill under [redacted] I also want only late fees removed from my account.

Business

Response:

Montgomery Ward offers its apologies to Mr. [redacted] for any inconvenience she may have experienced as a result of this matter. It was, however, resolved in December of 2014. Ms. [redacted] has failed to make a payment on her account since the issue was resolved. As a courtesy, Montgomery Ward has credited her account to remove the late payment fees assessed in January, February and March of 2015. Montgomery Ward assumes Ms. [redacted] will resume paying her account in accordance with the terms and conditions she agreed to when she opened it.

Review: I had been a customer of Ashro, Midnight Velvet, Monroe and Main, Seventh Avenue for over ten years. I always paid on time and kept my accounts in check. I eventually closed my accounts for no other reason than to save money, for I am a stay at home Mom. Last year the Colony Brand Company family of mail order stores started sending me catalog's and offering an invitation to open a account, which I did. Up until the past six months things were great... I'd order , receive it, pay down my account and maybe submit a new order. No , problem up until about four to five months ago. When I went to pay my bill with each company with my bank account on LINE AND ON TIME. Their website would not accept my payment FROM MY CHECKING ACCOUNT and a screen appeared stating " OOPS.... NOT YOUR FAULT WE HAVE A SYSTEM ERROR. PLEASE CALL OUR 800 NUMBER TO SUBMIT PAYMENT! SO, INSTEAD OF MAKING ANOTHER DREADFUL PHONE CALL I PAID WITH MY DEBIT CARD AND THEIR SYSTEM PROCESSED THE PAYMENT, SIMPLY EASILY AND ON TIME WITH OUT FURTHER PROBLEMS . LAST MONTH I PUT IN A ORDER UNDER $175.OO WITH MONROE AND MAIN. I KEPT A EYE OUT FOR THE DELIVERY BUT OVER A WEEK LATER NO MERCHANDISE ARRIVED. SO, I CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE..... I COULDN' T BELIEVE WHAT I WAS HEARING AND THE RUDENESS OF THE CUSTOMER SERVICE REP. SHE CLAIMED THAT I HAD MULTIPLE RETURNED PAYMENTS OVER THE PAST FEW MONTHS. I TRIED TO EXPLAINED TO HER WHAT THIER WEBSITE SAID AND THAT IT WOULD NOT PROCESS A PAYMENT THROUGH MY BANK ACCOUNT, SO I USED OTHER MEANS TO GET MY PAYMENT THROUGH TO THEM. THEN THE CUSTOMER SERVICE REP TOLD ME "THEIR COMPANY DID A SO-CALLED "SOFT" CREDIT REPORT REVIEW AND EVEN WITH MY EXCELLENT PAYMENY HISTORY THEY FOUND ME TO BE UNCREDIT WORTHY. THE CUSTOMER REP TOLD ME A LETTER WAS ON ITS WAY TO EXPLAIN THE DISCONTINUANCE OF BUSINESS. I HAVE STILL NOT RECIEVED THE LETTER. I THEN PROCESSED THE ORDER UNDER MY HUSBAND'S NAME AND SOCIAL, WHO HAS EXCELLENT CREDIT AND THEY TURNED HIM DOWN FLAT. THIS WEEKEND I PUT AN ORDER IN WITH ASHRO, ONLY TO FIND OUT THEY ARE FOLLOWING SUIT AND CANCELLED MY ORDER. I HAVE BEEN A LOYAL AND SUPERB CUSTOMER. THERE HAS BEEN NO NEED FOR THEM TO TREAT AND TALK TO ME SO RUDELY AND UNPROFESSIONALLY. THEY DO NOT TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANYTHING THAT HAS TRANSPIRED.Desired Settlement: APOLOGY , RE-INSTATE MY ACCOUNT, KEEP A CLOSER REIGN ON THE CREDIT, INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT AND WEED OUT ANY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE REPS WITH BAD ATTITUDES.

Response:

Monroe & Main and Midnight Velvet offer their apologies to [redacted] for any inconvenience she may have experienced as a result of this matter. It appears that [redacted] orders were held due to a similarity between her information and information recently added to the companies' fraud file. A credit representative contacted [redacted] on November 18 and resolved this issue. [redacted] should have no further trouble placing orders within her credit limit.

Review: I have a credit account with this company that I opened in March. I got behind one payment and I am currently making my payments every month on time yet I get a phone call LITERALLY every day and notices that I am seriously behind. Despite the fact that I check my bank acct and the payments are being credited towards my acct. I have contacted them and asked them to stop the harassing phone calls yet they keep coming daily. Its very annoying and relentless.Desired Settlement: I simply want the phone calls to stop considering the company is getting timely payments and threatening my credit.

Business

Response:

Seventh Avenue refers Mr. [redacted] to his monthly billing statements, each of which lists the MINIMUM PAYMENT DUE on or before the next due date. This information is also helpfully included on the payment stub attached to each statement.

Each of the last four statements have listed a MINIMUM PAYMENT DUE of $50. Mr. [redacted] has made payments of only $25 each of the last four months. As a result, his account has remained delinquent and he has been assessed late payment fees (also listed on the monthly billing statement). Mr. [redacted] can stop calls and letters (and late fees) by simply paying the minimum payment due on or before his next due date.

Finally, Seventh Avenue's records indicate call were placed to Mr. [redacted] home on August 7, 2014, July 14, 2014, July 11, 2014, and May 23, 2014 - somewhat less frequently than every day.

I have an open account with Swiss Colony and it said my payment was due October 15, 2013. I should be reimbursed for the extra delivery money. The items were for my aunt's funeral. By Friday, most everybody was gone.Desired Settlement: Reimburse the extra delivery charge.

Response:

We received correspondence from the Revdex.com regarding your order [redacted], placed 9/21/2013 via internet. We are sorry for any disappointment regarding the later than expected delivery of your order to the Foster Cousins. Please note that all orders take one to two business days for processing. In addition, your order was held for a down payment due to the recent payment history on your Swiss Colony and Ginny’s credit accounts.
