The...

Coral Resorts changed from ES Financial to Equiant to
service the loans for our clients.  Ms.
[redacted] contacted the resort to let us know she was not made aware of the
change.  The Coral Resorts made sure that
Equiant reamortized Ms. [redacted]s payment schedule, moved the start date of her
first payment with Equiant, reapplied their payments and waived any late
charges.  As the Coral Resorts fairly addressed
her concerns over a year ago, we are not sure why we are addressing them again
here. 
 
The Coral Resorts has also addressed the amount of the
Maintenance Fee with Ms. [redacted], explaining that the fees are
determined annually by the budget prepared by the Coral Reef Home Owners
Association.  The Maintenance Fee for Ms.
[redacted]’s unit for 2015 was $997.29. 
Late fees have been assessed as provided for in the Master Deed for Ms.
[redacted]’s property.
 
Ms. [redacted]s timeshare is currently
enrolled in the RCI points program, which has an annual membership fee.  This membership, and therefore the membership
fee, is an optional program.  Ms. [redacted]
may choose not to participate in RCI if she doesn’t wish to pay their fees.
 
Ms. [redacted] is currently delinquent on
both her loan and her Maintenance Fees. 
Once these have been brought current, she will be able to use her
timeshare.  The Coral Resorts has an
Owner Services department that is available to assist Ms. [redacted] with the
usage of her timeshare should she have any questions.

We have changed Ms. [redacted]'s year of ownership per her request.  Now, we have offered to change her season so she may travel in summer.  She will have to be placed on a waitlist to fulfill this request until we have inventory, which has been explained...

to her.  We cannot change her from a 2 bedroom to a 3 bedroom unless she wishes to pay the difference in price.  We have attempted to accomodate Ms. [redacted] each time she has come to us with a request, and if we are unable, we have explained why not.  The entire agreement between the Coral Resorts and Ms. [redacted] is detailed in the contract which she signed and was given a copy of.

I am rejecting this response because: We never said we could not upgrade that is nor has it ever been the issue with coral resorts.  Our issues with coral resorts are as follows:  We were lied to from day one, felt pressured into purchasing the timeshare on the day of the presentation, have never been able to use it since everyone has it booked a year in advanced and we were never informed we had to book it that far ahead.  We were told after the presentation that we could use the time share anytime we wanted to.  Whether it was a weekend or a full week it didn't matter, it was available.  When we informed Pam your agent that we couldn't afford the timeshare this gentleman walked up and told us to wait for just a minute and he went into the back and came back with an offer that at the time was or so we thought to good to pass up.  The timeshare was misrepresented at the presentation, we were deceived and since 2007 have never used the timeshare.  Coral resorts makes money off of hardworking people who falls for their fast talk.  I can not give a years notice for a vacation to use a timeshare and if this had been told to us at the presentation we would never had signed the papers.  So my question to coral resorts is why would we upgrade when all we want is out from under the one we have, not to purchase something else that we will never get to use.  We put our trust in your company and you fooled us once but you will not fool us again.  Shame on you and your company for taking advantage of people.  Stop misrepresenting the facts and tell people up front what they will be expected to do if they want to take a vacation.  WE WANT OUT FROM UNDER THIS TIMESHARE SIR.

Mr. [redacted] has taken 3 vacations since his purchase in mid 2009.  The Coral Resorts does have pet friendly units at its Coral Sands Resort.

Vacation is one of our favorite times of year, we get to relax together as a family away from stress and headaches. To enhance our vacation experience we purchased a timeshare from Corral Resorts. The salesman, [redacted], was very pleasant and explained some of the amazing deals that come with the purchase of the timeshare. Among the benefits included: No maintenance fee until 2016, the use of our old timeshare until 2016, and a two for one deal where if we didn't use our week in Hilton Head we would get two weeks elsewhere. We signed the contract on 6/12/14.Upon reviewing the contract the next day 6/13/14 we noticed the dates on the contract conflicted with what we were told. The salesman went to the company and came back saying they would mail us a new correct contract to our home which we would sign and send back. The sales man kept a part of the contract which we never got back. It was agreed upon that we would first be billed for the maintenance in November of 2015. Not only have we not received our fixed contract, but we started receiving aggressive bills for the maintenance fee extremely early. The bills came only a few days after we tried to call the company and cancel our membership, claiming we would be charged 200% if we did not pay. Corral Resorts claimed that we were a day late to cancel our purchase but you lied to us and gave us a fraudulent contract. We would like them to honor our request and cancel our membership and return our old timeshare. We tried getting them on the phone to cancel the contract, and sent them certified mail to cancel. we made a down payment of $8900 and our old timeshare but now that we are trying to cancel they do not want to return our down payment. they gave us the option to pay an extra $5000 to stop the harassment of the debt collectors but would not let us cancel our contract. We do not want our vacations to carry a likeness to the headache this company has caused us. If you are looking for a quality timeshare do not deal with Corral Resorts they are terrible scammers who talk nicely and make promises until you sign their contract and will squeeze you dry for cash as soon as you do.

I am rejecting this response because:  Just like their ratings with Revdex.com a (F) is just like their service.  Keep in mind that no one from the owner services for Coral resorts are ever at the sales watching and listening to what their salesperson are promising their customers.  Yes as we stated before we stop the payments on the previous purchase because of the lies and promise that was made to us,  we paid on the resort for two years and never received anything that was promised to us we never for two years got the opportunity to stay at no resorts and I am sure Mr. Ole that you have many more owners stating the same thing that's why they have a (F) rating.  They told us that we had a developer week at the first purchase that we could sell back and we Paid $248.00 to have the develop week sold and all they did was take our money.  There's no service after the sell we tried on several different occasion to contact our salesperson after the sale, and after several message that was left He changed his number but never returning a call.  After two years of nothing but them taking our money and no return calls yes we stop payment.  This time after we finding out that this was a presentation with Coral Reef not Coral Sands we thought maybe things would be different and they promise us that it would be different and apologies for our previous experience with coral sands, but my wife was skeptical so we ask many questions and was told many lies and promises again we were told that we didn't have to pay any maintenance fees until 2016 but a week after the contract was signed we got a letter about maintenance fees that's why we never received a returned call from Mr. [redacted] pertaining to our cancelation that we were trying to get because they knew once the contract was signed they didn't have to respond and that's wrong.  Mr. [redacted] please believe that if we was getting what was advertised and promised to us we would have never stop payment.  My wife work and I work our income monthly is $10,000.00 paying the monthly installments wasn't a problem the lies and promises is what put the default in action.  This purchase after all the assurances I thought things would be different but my wife and I didn't want to take any chances so we thought canceling would be better because we are still trying to repair our credit from the first time and didn't want to take a chance on what is happening now and we tried but never a promise was kept by Mr. [redacted] he lied just like the organization all lies in order to get people money and threaten them with putting it on their credit like they did us.  Before it got to this point we tried to stop it by canceling and they wouldn't allow us to do that so we had no other recourse but to stop payment on the purchase this is breach in promise and no service after the sell.  We haven't used any of their services the only thing happen is we was taken for our money for over two years all we are asking is to have our cancelation honored  and our money returned.  Mr. [redacted] told us all we had to do was call him and he gave us his card, we tried that and he wouldn't answer nor return our calls.  Like I said we haven't used any of their services the only thing happen was we was taken for our money.

Mrs. [redacted] membership contract states that she can rent condos and timeshare units are reduced rates.  There is no mention of concert tickets in her paperwork or any promise of discounts.  We do have an event ticketing service, in comparison to ticket master, or prices are sometime lower...

and some times the same.  However ticket prices vary from section to section.   The tickets we typically purvey are seats not available to general public.
Resorts Anytime is designed to allow our members to use timeshare condos with out having to buy timeshare.  On any given day we have approximately 125,000 units available. 
We also have a price match guarantee.  In the event a member does find a lower price, we will match that and refund 10% of the difference.   We guarantee our pricing against any other published pricing, available to the general public, for the same exact travel. At a minimum, this means, the same arrival and departure dates, the same property, the same room, the same size unit, the same cruise line, the same cabin, the same itinerary and the same departure and arrival dates. Notwithstanding the foregoing, we cannot match consolidator fares, fares that have been acquired through auction or bid, fares that are non-refundable due to supplier policies, such as hotel bookings where a special rate was received in exchange for the booking being non-refundable, cruise fares that are paid in full and fall within the final penalty period (normally 90 days from sailing), and are therefore non-cancellable by the cruise lines, or internet fares for which we cannot verify the price and exact itinerary. "
If Mrs. [redacted] can provide specific examples of cheaper travel that falls within our PMG, then we will address the issue further.  At this point it is the opinion of Resorts Anytime that no settlement is necessary.

Ms. [redacted] owns 2 timeshares at the Coral Resorts.  The first she purchased 11/17/2008 and it is an every other year ownership, which Ms. [redacted] owns in odd years.  Ms. [redacted] has paid the maintenance fees for this timeshare in 2009, 2011, and 2013 with no questions...

or complaints. 
The 2nd timeshare Ms. [redacted] purchased was on 3/5/2010.  This is an every third year ownership, which Ms. [redacted] has only paid one Maintenance Fee so far, that was in 2012.  Ms. [redacted] paid this fee with no questions or complaints. 
This year, 2015, her odd year ownership and her every third year ownership maintenance fees coincide, and she owes a Maintenance Fee for both her Every Other Year ownership and her Every third year ownership.  
Ms. [redacted] has not contacted the Owner Services Department since 2010.  If she would like to contact Owner Services, we would be happy to review her ownerships with her. Owner Services can be reached at ###-###-####, and we are available from 9-5, Monday to Friday.

Relative to the above entitled complaint and pursuant to your letter dated June 9, 2014,  please be advised that we were sent certain documents to fill out and be returned to Coral Bay Resorts, to the attention of [redacted] the attorney handling this matter.  It was confirmed that our documents were received by them on June 4, 2014.  To date, we have not received any fully executed documents or a refund check.  Therefore, we ask that the case remain open until said documents and refund are received.

On 11/14/2015 Mr. [redacted]r purchased a Coral Resorts
timeshare in Hilton Head Island, SC.  Mr.
[redacted]r purchased a 3 bedroom unit at the Coral Sands ever third...

year, which
is enrolled in the RCI points program. 
Upon receiving an email from Mr. [redacted]r, the Owner
Services Department called Mr. [redacted]r 1/12/16 to try and assist him with his
ownership, however Mr. [redacted]r stated that he is only looking for
cancellation and there is nothing we can do to assist him. 
Mr. [redacted]r’s RCI membership has only been active since
1/5/2016, so he has barely had an opportunity to even try it out. 
Coral Resorts Owner Services Department is available Monday
to Friday from 9-5 and can be reached at ###-###-####.  The Owner Services Department is more than
happy to assist Mr. [redacted]r with his ownership.   The
Coral Resorts also has an in house RCI representative who would be able to help
Mr. [redacted]r with any questions he has regarding his RCI membership.  Her name is Melissa, and she can be reached

Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] are correct, the Owner Services team is not present at the sales presentation.  This is one reason why we have contracts, so there is a written record of the agreement between the seller and the purchaser.  Each party is then given 5 days to review the contract and cancel with no penalty if the contract they signed is not an accurate representation of the agreement.  Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] have signed their Acknowledgement of the Right of Rescission each time they have signed a Coral Resorts Contract, so they clearly understand this right. 
 
Per the Developer Week Addendum which Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] signed, the Coral Resorts does not have a rental program for its Developer Week.  We do not know who Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] paid $248 to as that would be an outside company.  If Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] have an issue with that transaction they need to address it with the company they did business with. 
 
When the [redacted] made their first purchase, they then came back to the office with questions.  At that time their purchase price was discounted $1000.  Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] made the decision to proceed with the purchase.  Then, when Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] disputed the fact that they had a maintenance fee due in 2008 (which they did owe, per the contract which they signed) the Owner Services Department WAIVED their maintenance fee for them, this maintenance fee was $899.65.  The Owner Services Department also assisted Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] when they called regarding a reservation, putting them in touch with our in house RCI representative to try and get them the reservation that they wanted.  A savings of nearly $2000 for the Starlings, on a contract which they signed, acknowledged and agreed to, yet they state that they were given poor customer service.  
 
Since Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] have made their second purchase, they have not contacted the Owner Services department with any questions or concerns.  Just as we were available the first time around when the Owner Services Department paid a Maintenance Fee for the Starlings, the Owner Services Department is available for Mr. and Mrs. Starlings, Owner Services can be reached Monday-Friday, 9-5 at ###-###-####.
