I paid $for a consultation with attorney *** *** She said I could call her with any questions before hiring her I called twice on two separate occasions and left two messages I got no response I contacted the company through their website and still got no response It sounds like they take people's money and don't respond to their calls afterwards

Working with Cordell and Cordell was a nightmareIn order to retain them as my family lawyer, they asked for me to fill out a form giving them permission to continually charge my credit card in order to keep their $retainer fullI started working with them on December 11th and by December 18th, the $was nearly depleted and then they charged my credit card $1,to refill my retainerThey charged me $for my initial consultation, then charged me $to prepare an initial status letter to me, then charged me $to respond to an email from me as to why nothing had been done on my caseIt continued to get even worse from there(Keep in mind that this is within the first two days of me hiring them.) I don’t have the words to express how ripped off I feelI paid them to file a Petition for custody of my son to the court and serve my exThey managed to leave the address of the court off of the Pettition and the paperwork that was served to my ex had the wrong date on it (said July instead of December)The documents were rejected by the court and my ex disappeared keeping them from being able to serve her and the court with Papers that had the correct information on itI had to fire them after paying them nearly $6,and hire a new attorneyThe next day they charged my credit card nearly a thousand dollars after firing them and last Saturday charged me another $What they are doing should be illegalIt has been recommended to me by my new attorney to file a bar complaint against themI would prefer them to refund/return most of the money that has been charged to my credit card instead of filing the bar complaint

Retainer fee of $plus other charges totaling $have been put on my credit card (with my approval and knowledge) with the understanding that when the divorce was final those charges would be credited off of my credit card and charged to my ex-husband After me talking with their finance department and my ex-husband talking to various people there we are not able to get this resolved They have now charged his new credit card $ Cordell and Cordell finance department told me to call my credit card company to dispute the charges and that was all they could do for me I called my credit card company and am disputing the charges The divorce has been final for over a month now

My experience with this law firm and***  was a good oneDuring our first meeting she painted a bleak picture, I believe this was done to get my mind ready for what might happen and for what I may endure I told *** what I wanted to do, she made her recommendations and we went forward with the planI thought that some responses from *** and her assistants were slow at times, but the overall experience was goodI actually recommended *** to two other people who were going through divorces as wellShe was straight forward with me which is what I needed at the time, she was very strong and aggressive with opposing counsel which I greatly appreciated
