I have never been a Verizon Wireless customer but Credit Control claims I owe them $

I have been in the process of purchasing a new home and it has come to my attention that Credit Control has collections listed on my credit report that I do not owe and should not belong on my credit report two of them are duplicates for the same amount This is a clear violation of the fair credit reporting act I have never received any correspondence regarding these accounts and it has never been proven that I owe this debt

This company is the absolute worseThe workers are unprofessional and liarsLike most, when I was in college I made a poor choice in getting a credit cardIt ended up with this agencyI spoke to one agent inquiring about online payments they explained my log in wrong timesAfter the fourth "oh maybe you should try xyz" it worked I hung up and that was allI never agreed to make a payment that day or any other day as I do not like to make payment arrangements due to my inconsistency in paychecks at that timeI recorded this conversationSince that day I haven't spoken with another representative conducting all by payments onlinemonths later after making payments when I can (5/months) various amounts ranging from $- $I receive a letter stating I have not made my payment as of x dollars as promised by x dateI don't know if Charla *** thinks she can bully me into a payment plan I've never agreed upon but it will not happenI will follow up this complaint with a formal complaint as wellThis will not and should not be toleratedMaybe it's worked for her in the past, but it stops here

I checked my credit report over the past couple of weeks I noticed on Credit Karma that I had an account was listed by Credit Control LLC for medical bills from I do not recall being contacted by Credit Control for these bills and have requested copies from them and they were very uncooperative in providing the requested copies I am in need of them in order to submit the bills to my insurance company at that time so they can make payment on my medical bills I had insurance coverage at the time that the bills were dated The customer service and supervisors were not willing to assist me and were unprofessional

This company has been harassing me by constantly calling concerning some debt since April of I don't have any delinquent debt, I have a good credit rating and regularly check my credit report My only thought is my parents my owe someone something and they've tracked me down as a relative If that's the case, that's not my responsibility and should be addressed with them I'm at the point I'm considering having a restraining order taken out on them for harassment They are also in violation of the Do Not Call registry as my number has been listed for several years and I do not have any business with them

I have been harassed via phone by the above business, and have been receiving at least a dozen phone calls A DAY over the past week
I had received a letter from them on June 30, (the first time I have ever heard from them), demanding payment of a debt I immediately contacted the business requesting verification of the debt I contacted them via email and via their website I received a response via email a week later, which did not provide any documentation I followed up on that request via email times, before I was informed that I would receive the requested documentation via regular mail
I received a letter from them (although, the hand-addressed envelope did not provide the name of the company, the address matched up) a week ago The letter was simply a copy of a random page bill from This bill wasn't accompanied by any explanation The information provided is WOEFULLY inadequate to document any type of valid debt, and does not begin to meet your ob

with, and it appears that they may have been trying to reach a different company.  I advised Mr. [redacted] that if he does come across anything which leads him to believe that he needs to speak to us that he can contact us directly and we'll be happy to assist him further.

We are in receipt of this complaint from [redacted], forwarded to us on October 17, 2017 via email through the Revdex.com portal.  Upon receipt of your correspondence, we documented the concerns raised by the consumer as well as the dispute of this account, and a copy has been forwarded to our client,...

[redacted].  While our normal course of action would be to request documentation to validate this account and then forward the documentation to the consumer, the consumer expressly stated a demand in the complaint correspondence that we cease and desist all activity regarding this account.  Based on this request we have closed our file on this account and returned it to [redacted].  Credit Control, LLC will perform no further activity regarding this account.

consumer's complaint, it was clear there may be some confusion on the part of the consumer as to who we are, and what this account is in reference to.  Upon receipt we forwarded a copy to [redacted] Capital Services, the current creditor, to make them aware of the consumer's concerns.  In addition, we have closed our file on this consumer's accounts, and  returned them to our client.  Credit Control, LLC will perform no further collection activity with regard to these accounts, and will not communicate further with the consumer.

July 15, 2016 Revdex.com Serving Eastern Missouri & Southern Illinois St. Louis, MO 63102 Complaint ID #: [redacted] – [redacted] J. [redacted] Dear Complaint Resolution Department: We are in receipt of your letter of July 12, 2016, forwarding us a copy of the complaint filed with your...

office by Ms. [redacted] J. [redacted]. Upon receipt of your correspondence we conducted our internal investigation into the concerns set forth by Ms. [redacted] in her complaint, and would like to address those concerns. First and foremost, I want to address any confusion on Ms. [redacted]’s behalf that we have purchased her account. Please be advised that Credit Control, LLC has not purchased this account. As stated in our letter to Ms. [redacted] this account is owned by her current creditor [redacted], who placed this account with our office for collection. Next, Ms. [redacted] states that due to the age of the account, she is no longer responsible for the balance, making our collection efforts illegal. While there is in fact a statute of limitations which dictates that after a given length of time no lawsuit can be filed, that does not in any way limit or inhibit the right of a creditor or a debt collector to attempt to collect the debt. This also applies to Ms. [redacted]’s statement that this is no longer on her credit report. The Fair Credit Reporting Act provides that an account must be removed from a credit report once the statute of limitations for credit reporting has passed, but that has no impact on a creditor or debt collector’s right to attempt to collect the debt. In fact, this was explained to Ms. [redacted] in the letter we sent to her as follows - "The law limits how long you can be sued on a debt. Because of the age of your debt, [redacted] will not sue you for it, and [redacted] will not report it to any credit reporting agency". As Ms. [redacted]’s complaint stated that she wishes no further contact from Credit Control, LLC, we have ceased communication on this account and are in process of returning it to our client. Ms. [redacted] will receive no further communication from Credit Control, LLC. Sincerely, [redacted] Director of Compliance [redacted]

We are in receipt of this complaint, forwarded to us via the Revdex.com portal on May 4, 2017.  Upon receipt of this complaint we initiated our investigation into the concerns raised by the consumer. In reviewing the file, we find that we did indeed enter into an agreement to settle the account with...

the consumer in 2 payments, as the consumer outlined.  The first payment was processed and applied towards the agreed settlement, as stated by the consumer.  When it was time to process the 2nd payment however, that payment was declined.  When our representative contacted the consumer to advise that the payment was declined, the consumer advised our representative that he decided that he will not pay this account, as he found out that settling the account would not completely remove it from his credit report.  In addition the consumer requested a refund of the processed payment. In an effort to show good faith, we will refund the consumer's payment of $111.46.  The paperwork to refund the consumer's payment has been submitted and is being processed.
