Credit Control, LLC is reasonable if you truly are attempting to find a resolution to your collection matter Their administrative and financial internal controls cripple the organizations efficiency For example, it takes days rather than hours to get a response on a counter settlement offer It takes hours than minutes to send a confirmed settlement offer Collectors have very limited authority I worked with two excellent supervisors
I do not have a contracts with this Credit Control LLCI am not liable for collection these debts are from *** Master Card

On 09/24/17, my boyfriend and I were involved in an accidentI was transported by ambulance to SLUI was in contact with the ambulance provider (City of St Louis) about my outstanding account to let them know I was filing a lawsuit against the individual(s) who caused the accidentThe ambulance provider ended up sending the account for collection to Credit Control, LLCI received a notice in the mail from them to attempt to collect the debt on or around 07/25/On that same date, I called the Credit Control LLC company to let them know they should've received a letter from my lawyer to hold the account and they would be paid once the lawsuit was settledI repeatedly asked the gentlemen on the phone if this would affect my creditHe said no so I did not pay the account on 07/25/On 10/10/18, I decided the lawsuit is taking a little more time than anticipatedso I was going to pay the accountI ended up calling the City of StLouis and they told me to call Credit Control
This company called me to collect a debt that was over years oldThis debt had already fallen off my credit reportThey told me it had been resubmitted for Collection and I had to pay upI settled on the phone for 50% of the balance dueI have since been told by others that I shouldn’t have paid them as the statue of limitations has expired in my state to collect on an old debtThey also called me at workAfter I paid to settle, I was told I would receive an email confirmation, I have yet to receive itNeedless to say, I’m sure “*** ***” is enjoying his commission/bonus check at my expenseHow can a company do this? They should be investigated for fraud and harassmentIt was an old debt that had already fallen off my credit report after yearsHow can they just re-open it?
I was not aware that Credit Control LLC had responded to my complaintI apologize for not respondingI feel as though their response is not good enoughI would like to see Credit Control LLC and the *** *** *** *** fined for this error. *** ***
Over days have now passed since their last correspondence, and the creditor has still failed to provide me with proof that the noted debt is valid. Despite that fact, they continue to report it to Equifax.I ask that they immediately stop reporting it.Many thanks
Upon receipt of your correspondence, we reached out to Mr*** to address his concerns. Upon speaking with him, we determined that someone had used his wife's credit card on our on-line payment portal, to pay an account which did not belong to either Mror Mrs***. He
indicated to us that the bank had already refunded him on the seemingly fraudulent charge so there was nothing more that we needed to doOur manager who spoke with him provided his contact information so that Mr*** could pass it onto law enforcement as he informed us he plans to pursue the matter of the individual who committed the fraud
Jason *** was very very rude to me over the phoneHe has no customer service skillsI called back to speak to a manager and they connected me to himOnce again was rude and informed me that is a lead, which is not a managerNo one would connect me to a manager to resolve my issue

This company is pursuing a debt that is not mine and was a product of fraudulent activityThey are attempting to collect a debt that was removed from my credit report because of its origin from another individual, my motherI was not authorized to be a cosigner on the account in question and made this very clear when I talked with both *** *** and *** *** the original creditorThe matter was dropped, however, ever since this account went into collections and my mother apparently stopped paying on the debt, many companies have harassed me to collect the full debt owed by my motherAfter going through the same steps of calling and reporting that this account was not suppose to have my name on it, the matter was once again droppedNow a third party agency has bought my mother's debt from the original creditor and is attempting to collect this from me once again because my mother has filed bankruptcy and she is no longer on the account apparentlyI have tried to deal with this in
Harassment by Credit Control LLC as their client *** *** as an alleged $14,debt from plus years agoThe debt was paid by an insurance policy in full at age years old when I was disabled*** *** every years gives the so called debt to a new collection company and the harrassment starts all over
This company has been harrassing my parents, although no accounts I have are attached to their home phone
Credit Collections has been calling my parents home every hour on the hour for days looking for me No accounts I have are attached to their phone number or address and I have not lived with them in over ten years I called back the number they continue to harass my parents from, and the representative demanded payment without telling me for whom they were trying to collect The representative tried to tell me multiple times that I would only be given details if I made immediate payment I am absolutely not giving personal information, let alone payment information, to a company that refuses to tell me what for I will happily pay any owed debts, but not without explicit details as to what I am paying and why These people are incredibly rude and the fact that they are attempting to contact me on a phone number that has no attachment to any accounts I have is highly suspe

Credit Control, LLC believes it did not violate the Fair Credit Reporting Act when the company reported the balance to the credit bureau because the balance was not known to be in dispute at the time it was reportedHowever, as a result of Mr***'s complaint, Credit Control, LLC has requested the credit bureau to remove the entry from Mr***'s credit report completely
Exactly when the deletion of the entry is completed depends upon how quickly the credit bureau acts on Credit Control, LLC's instructions to do soCredit Control, LLC is not able to control the credit bureau(s) actions

*** *** Complaint Number: *** To Whom It May Concern, Your correspondence dated March 10, regarding the above referenced matter has been referred to me for review and responseAfter conducting a review of the issues raised in Ms***’s complaint as well as our records and copies of the correspondence referenced by Ms*** there appears to be some confusion, as we show we have in fact spoken with Ms*** regarding this account via telephone when she called our office on March 24, 2015. In fact during that call Ms*** made a payment of $and advised us that within the next weeks she would be paying off the remaining balance of $304.98. Unfortunately we never received any further payment nor did we hear from Ms*** again. We did continue to send letters to Ms*** in an attempt to resolve the remaining balance, and the number listed on those letters was ***, a toll free number which is certainly a good contact number to reach our officeIn addition we also provided our mailing address on each letter, however as already stated we never heard back from Ms***Unfortunately, as of March 4, this account has been recalled from our office by ***As a result we are no longer able to assist Ms*** with regard to this account. If Ms*** wishes to resolve this account she can contact *** directly at *** and they will be able to assist her furtherThe client will also be the entity to contact directly regarding any credit reporting as Credit Control does not report to the credit bureausIf you have any questions or if we can be of further assistance please contact *** *** at *** at your convenience*** *** Compliance Coordinator Credit Control, LLCFederal law requires that we disclose that Credit Control, LLC is a debt collectorHowever, thiscommunication is not an attempt to collect a debt; this communication is made for the limitedpurpose of responding to the above-referenced complaint
I do not have a contract with CREDIT CONTROL LLCI am not liable for collection this debt from *** DEPARTMENT STORES I am not responsible for this debt
Upon receipt of this complaint we conducted our investigation into the concerns set forth by Ms*** in her complaint correspondence. In reviewing the call recordings, we find that both our representative and the supervisor who spoke with Ms*** explained to her that we had documented her
dispute, and we had contacted our client in order to get the information we needed to resolve her issue I understand the frustration Ms*** was clearly feeling that we could not provide her with an immediate answer as she was asking us to do, however in order to properly handle her situation and see that it got rectified correctly we needed to follow the established process, which included contacting our client and ensuring that the issue was cleared up on their end as well as our own, so that Ms*** would not run into any further issues moving forward. We have now received confirmation from our client that there indeed should have been a 2nd credit applied to this account, which cleared the remaining balance to zero We have updated the record on our end and closed our file on this account With regard to Ms***' concerns regarding any effect this might have regarding her credit, please be advised that at no point did Credit Control, LLC ever report this account to any credit reporting agencies
