Review: I been with cricket wireless every since they came to portland, but my issues is that I bought a phone for $210.00 brand new back on 11/3/14 and two weeks later the screen went out due to the faulty charger connection in the phone. So I return that phone on 11/18/14 and they exchanged it out for a new one, but was very rude and disrespectful to me. and on 2/8/14 that phone ( second one ) did the same thing as the first one. So I drove in the snow to the cricket store only to have the guy switch my new phone back to my old phone and tell me I didn't have a warranty anymore on my new phone, so there was nothing they could do for me. So I been ripped off by cricket. They took my $210.00 for a new phone that now again after 2 months won't work. which I don't have and they were very abusive. Please Help me with this matter. It's not nor is it fair.Desired Settlement: Refund of my money and for pain and suffering.

Review: I returned my phone on 5/30/2013 & assumed this would cancel my account with them, since I did not have a phone with them anymore! This company makes it as difficult as they can to cancel their service, since I have called several of their customer service numbers & only got the auto response with no option for cancelling my account. Finally was able to speak to human being only to be told I need to fax a copy of my bank statement to actualize my cancellation! Since I do not have a fax device I would need to have someone to take me somewhere to do this, since I am disabled & unable to drive! I totally regret being involved with their company & would not recommend them to my worst enemy(or anyone else)Desired Settlement: They need to credit my bank account before they charge me anymore!

Cricket Account No: [redacted]

Dear Sir/Madam;

This correspondence is in reference to a complaint filed by [redacted] regarding a refund request. In her complaint, Ms. [redacted] states that she returned her phone to Cricket on May 30, 2013. Ms. [redacted] states that by returning her phone, she thought her service would be cancelled. On June 1, 2013, a payment of $33.56 was withdrawn from Ms. [redacted]’s bank account for Cricket services. Ms. [redacted] attempted to contact Cricket several times to disconnect her account but was unable to do so. Ms. [redacted] requests that her account be cancelled and she be issued a refund for $33.56.

We apologize for any inconvenience or poor service Ms. [redacted] felt she received. Cricket strives to provide excellent customer service at all times, and we regret when that high standard is not met.

On June 11, 2013, we spoke with Ms. [redacted] to discuss her complaint in detail. Per Ms. [redacted]’s request, we disconnected her account as she no longer needed Cricket service. No further payments will be withdrawn from Ms. [redacted]’s bank account. A refund for $33.56 was approved and applied to Ms. [redacted]’s credit or debit card. The confirmation number for this refund is [redacted] and can take 3-5 business days to process.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I tried to cancel my account with them 2-3 months ago & could never speak to a person(one of the reasons I decided to not do anymore business with them. Now they are calling me over & over again but once again no way to speak to an actual person!!!I need them to stop calling me since I am disabled & do not need anyone like this calling me all the time. I thought I was on the do not call list, but obviously that does not matter to them! The # they are calling from is 8662103725. My # [redacted].. Review: On August 17, 2013 I went to a Cricket store on [redacted] to purchase one of their smartphones with unlimited internet. I live in the country, so getting good signal was a concern for me. I was told by the sale representative that I wouldn't have any problems and that it would work fine. So, I purchased a [redacted], a month of service, and paid an activation fee for a total of $200.80 dollars. I returned home and found that I had a very poor signal. I had trouble sending text messages, getting on the internet, slow connection, and the 3G signal was constantly going in and out. It was very undependable and I decided to return it as soon as I could. On August 20th I went back to the store to return my phone and cancel my service. I was told by a different sales representative that I could receive a refund for the phone, but not for the month of service I paid them! Plus they charged me for a restock fee of $15.00, so I only got back $91.99. They went on to explain that it was their policy and was in the 'fine print' of the receipt when before I was told I wouldn't have any problems returning it within 30 days if I had issues with the signal. I only used their service for a day and a half before I turned it off and decided to return it, which during that time it barely even worked. I don't think I should have to pay them for a month of service when I only had the phone for three days. I feel like I was mislead and ripped off by this company and I would like to receive a FULL refund.Desired Settlement: A full refund, which is $93.81.

Review: Went on crickets website to pay my bill, I received an error message saying the payment was not processed to try again. well I did and it processed my payment twice for 2 different amounts. I called cricket told them what happened was transfered to 4 different people and was finally given a ticket number ([redacted]) and was told it would take 10 to 14 days to get the second payment refunded back to me. This alone is outrageous since they collect the payment instantly out of my account. Well I receive an email stating this [redacted] - -Refund request denied. PayGo payments are not refundable. This problem was caused by their website not an error on my part. This is quite a good scam to collect additional money not due to them. They create a bogus error message and then refuse to correct it by giving the additional money back. Not to mention they collect 2 different amounts. The second amount was 2 dollars more the the first one.Desired Settlement: I want the money refunded to me, regardless of whether or not we have gone into another billing cycle for the phone.

Review: I purchased an LG phone on July 14, 2014 from the Crickett store on McCarran Blvd. Upon leaving the store I connected the phone to my bluetooth stereo and it worked. Three days later the device could not connect to my stereo. The next day I brought the vehicle and phone back to the store where they came to the conclusion my deck was too old for it to connect. I took it to [redacted]s who advised the phone was malfunctioning. I then tried to connect the bluetooth to a home unit and the device could not pair. Lastly, today I tried connecting the phone to my virtually new deck in another vehicle and the phone audio advised it was connected but the music streaming would not connect. The technician Able advised to just dowload an app called Bitmo. I did left the store, immediately tried to connect it to my bluetooth and it would not stream music. The technician ran a series of test, even used his personal phone to sucessfully connect to my deck and still my phone failed to connect. He then used a brand new phone which also failed to connect to my deck. He then advised that there was nothing further he could do to resolve the problem, that the phone was just too new for my deck. Futhermore since Crickett was bought out by ATT my phone drops calls and I'm not able to make phone calls without them dropping at my house. An area coverage change would have been nice to know about before I purchaed the new phone.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund or a proper working phone that connects to my bluetooth devices. I would also like all further LG phones sold in store to be clearly marked that their bluetooth technology is "too new" for any previously sold bluetooth compatable devices. The phone as it is, is vitually garbage to me since this feature does not work and I assume to most of the general law abiding public.

Review: Cricket [redacted] Today, September 7, 2013 was the fifth time in three weeks that I have visited Cricket [redacted], with regard to several ongoing concerns. Initially on August 19, 2013, I acquired a Samsung Galaxy through the YBuy program and paid $60 for this transaction. The store manager, [redacted], processed the transaction. The following day, August 20, the telephone service was turned off and I revisited the store and paid an additional $60 for the service to be restored. At this time, I was given a receipt for the previous days invoice for the telephone which indicated that only $44.27 was applied toward the purchase of the phone for the Ybuy program, even though $60.00 was given. The store manager, [redacted], did not explain, indicate or provide a statement showing where the missing $15.00 was applied. One week later, August 26, 2013, the cell service shut off again. Spoke with store manager, [redacted], again and he turned on telephone. Seven days later the telephone disconnected again on August 31, 2013 and also again on September 6th service was turned off. With each attempt to speak with [redacted], we were informed that he would correct the error and restore service and each week, the service was turned off. We later learned that managers can restore service to the telephone temporarily for a 37 day period without actually applying the funds to the balance. We have reason to believe that the manager, [redacted], may be involved in scamming customers of their monthly cell phone payments without actually applying the funds to the account. It appears as if each time the customer complains, he simply restores a curiosity service for a few days to buy time. The problem with this is that, each time the service is turned off and the funds were never applied to the account. On September 7th, I explained to [redacted], that I had to pay make a bridge payment the previous weekend of $17.00 in order to restore service to the telephone until after the Labor Day weekend. I demanded a refund, explaining that we initially paid for the cell phone service to cover the entire month on August 20, 2013. [redacted] then reached in his wallet to see if he had the cash in his wallet. After looking in his wallet, he did not see any cash, so he reached in the register and threw the $17.00 towards me. We asked for a receipt showing that this was being credited and he said that he could not produce a receipt. After this, an assistant store manager, [redacted], entered the store and made an attempt to resolve this dispute. He asked [redacted] a few questions about the various transactions (listed on the following page) and made an attempt to resolve the concern. After checking our online account with Cricket, it looks like the funds were just applied to our account, today on September 7, 2013, even though the bill was paid on August 20, 2013. After reviewing the recent encounters with Cricket [redacted], it appears that there may be a scam happening by the management of this company. When speaking with a sales associate on September 6, 2003 explained that this was a common problem among customers. Furthermore, the ease at which [redacted] refunded our $17.00 was suspicious, as there was no electronic record or paper trail of the funds handed over to us. This action alone is proper cause for audit of the business. It also appears that the manager took my funds and never applied them to our account. [redacted] offered me one free month of service from September 19 October 19 in an effort to make a mends, however he would not supply an invoice, a credit or receipt regarding this credit the account. After several attempts to resolve this dispute, I requested to speak with someone other than the employees within this Cricket [redacted] location. I was deterred and told that nobody else could assist with my concern. [redacted], refused to refer us to anyone other than himself, as did his staff. On our own accord, we have contacted the Cricket corporation and visited the local corporate Cricket located on [redacted].Desired Settlement: $15.73 is owed for the installment of the Ybuy and $60 was rendered but only $44.27 was applied to account. One month of service is also owed.

Review: I was treated very badly and sold a bad phone from [redacted]. The employees told me that I had a 30 day guarantee on the phone that they refuse to honor. 1. When they sold me the phone that is of bad quality (Huawei), the guy saw my immediate need for a phone and took advantage. He spoke to me in a patronizing tone and he would not give me direct answers to my questions and ultimately sold me a faulty phone.2. Because of the way he treated me I went to [redacted] to exchange the phone, The man immediately told me that he could not help me because it was past 30 days. I had to ask him to check my account so he could see that it WAS NOT past 30 days. He then said he would exchange it for another phone but said there was a 30% restocking fee which was never explained when I bought it. Because of his bad business, I left and drove to the corporate location (50 minutes round trip-[redacted]) where I was informed that there should be no restocking fee on phones returned within 30 days & was directed to the manager over the store I bought the phone from. I had to drive because they never answer phone4. I spoke with ([redacted] the [redacted] store manager who told me they would take care of me with no problem. But once I arrived, the guy was again speaking to me in a condescending manner and told me he couldn't return it due to there being a small dent in the corner of the phone. (I kept my phone in the case the entire time I had the phone. Their faulty case does not protect the corners of the phone)When I visited the other locations, no one ever said there was a problem with the phone. He called & exaggerated to supervisor acting as if I were the problem and the supervisor refused to call me to get my perspective. When I attempted to reach [redacted] (the initial mgr I spoke to) he did not answer. I left him a mssg about the lack of service & said I would like to email him pictures of phone. The employees have acted as if my 10 yrs of good business means nothing.Desired Settlement: Because of their lack good business, I've had to make 5 trips, many many calls; wasted too many hours of my life to get a world of hassle, stress, upset and even was driven to tears because they refuse to hold true on their promise-refund/exchange on phone returned within 30 days. I would like a full refund for my phone and case. Time & mental anguish are irreplaceable, therefore I feel that at the very least 2 months credit for my bill and honor of any current sale that is running.

Review: Purchased a SIM card for $9.99 plus had to choose a plan so chose the $25/month unlimited talk and text. Order was shipped and received it on May 30, 2014 at 6:00 pm (approx). Upon opening the box from UPS I started the process of activating the SIM card. When I was finished with the steps that were provided by Cricket, I noticed my phone still said "No service". I immediately got online to the Cricket Chat and spoke with [redacted]. I told him that after I completed all the steps that my phone says there is no SIM card and it also said no service. He said that perhaps my phone is not unlocked. I said I verified that my phone was unlocked when I spoke with a Cricket Salesperson prior to ordering. She said my phone was compatible and all set to go with the Cricket service. When I told him I was upset he did not respond to me and he ended my chat. I have been on the phone everyday with Cricket trying to get this problem resolved. So today, I was talking to another CSR with Cricket and she says it sounds like the SIM card is not working and I should fill out a complaint form online and ask them to send me a new SIM card. When I got home, I went online to look for the complaint form she was referring to and I could not find one. So I got back on Cricket online chat and was speaking to [redacted]. I told him I had spoken to a CSR about my problem with phone not working and she said that it sounds like the SIM card is not working and I should fill out a complaint form online.I asked if he could help me. He says to just go online to my account and ask for one. Long story short, you can't just ask them to send you a new SIM card you have to purchase another one. [redacted] told me that Cricket guarantees their SIM cards to work. Steve: This makes me very upset with Cricket. I verified everything before making this purchase. I answered every question. The lady told me that my phone is compatible and is unlocked and ready to use with Cricket Wireless. I already paid for the SIM cardDesired Settlement: refund of my 9.99 SIM card plus the $25.00 service for one month. When I opened my account while talking with [redacted] I noticed that I had 27 days left of 30 days of service. The clock has been ticking down ever since I received the package from UPS. What company begins your service when the SIM card has not even been activated. The company can see that there has been no activity on the phone (no texts or calls sent). They say I must received faulty card. where is the guarantee?

Review: I was scammed by the Cricket Wireless on Val Vista & Southern, which has recently been bought out by AT&T. I purchased a phone from this location on 11/26 and opted to finance the transaction like my last purchase with Cricket a year ago. I was told the financing switched companies but the financing is the same and the terms would be sent to me by [redacted] (the new financing Company). I proceeded to continue with the purchase and was only given a receipt for the money charged to me that day, a copy of my finance application that I filled out since it listed personal data, and the box my phone came in. The application I completed asked me for my checking account number and pay schedule which I thought was a little odd. When I asked for the financing terms again from the Salesman, [redacted], I was told this will be sent directly to me from [redacted]. Today, 12/04 I finally received the financing terms from [redacted], which I do not agree with. The phone I bought for $681.51 is now costing me $1592.00 over a 12 month period. [redacted] is also drafting the payments out bi-weekly in the amount of $62.00 (which is why the application asked for my pay schedule and checking acct number Im assuming). I asked [redacted] if I could cancel the financing and pay for the phone, and they advised to pay for the phone the cost is now $759.58 due to financing charges that are now added in. I then asked if I could return the phone, and they advised yes I could return the phone to Cricket and they would cancel the contract. I called the Cricket store regarding returning the phone and was advised I am now outside of their 7 day return window. Funny how the contract was NOT sent to me until after the return period has expired. I requested to speak with the Store Owner, who is located at another site. I called [redacted] the store owner to advise of this mishap and he proceeded to be rude and blatantly disrespectful to me. I advised regarding the payment terms being sent to be after the return window, and his response to me was well that is your fault you signed a contract without requesting the terms. I then stated I requested the terms and was advised I would get them from [redacted], his response to me was well I never sign anything without reading the terms, unfortunately the 7 day window has passed so now you are stuck with [redacted]s horrible finance plan. I then asked if I could be connected to Crickets Corporate office and his response was 1-800-CRICKET. I started getting very frustrated with where the conversation was going, so I then advised I would get an attorney involved if needed as this is not right and you cannot scam people into contacts with no terms and not allow them to rescind their purchase once the terms are received. The store mangers response was appalling.. he then stated Good luck sweetie, I love when people threaten me with attorneys, my father is an attorney and I have never lost a case. Go ahead and get an attorney and it will cost you more than the phone is costing you, then I will turn around and sue you. Again good luck sweetie. And then proceeded to hang up the phone.I am now stuck with a phone in a finance plan I never agreed to or was given the terms too until after the fact. I wanted to let you know of this problem before more people are scammed by Cricket since they are a big wireless carrier in Arizona. I hope to hear from you soon. Thank you for taking the time to read my story.Desired Settlement: I would like to return the phone I was scammed into financing to cancel the contract with [redacted], and cancel my service with Cricket all together.

Review: I purchased a new cell phone from cricket online october 29, 2013. I was told that the cell in question was a 4g phone and it would play movies. I found out that cricket doesnt have a 4g system yet and it wont have it until january. I called tech support and was told that if I sent the cell back that it would take 30 days to process my refund. The cell phone just turns off and on at will. when I try to use it as internet for my laptop it keeps dropping the signal. I went to several corporate stores and was told that they were having major problems with the phone and that I should send it back, but they wanted to charge me 20 to send it back. I feel that cricket is using false advertising practices because they dont have 4g but are selling it.Desired Settlement: I want a full refund plus credit for a month because they lied to me about phone

Review: I purchased Cricket's $60 a month: unlimited talk and text, 5 Gigabyte 4G data plan on 11/18/2013. I was very specific that I wanted quite a bit of 4G internet because I use data on my cell quite often while I was at the store purchasing the phone and plan. I noticed I never received a 4G connection on my phone, in fact, it rarely showed a 3G connection. I assumed it was the phone so less than 24 hours later I went back to the store to return the phone and buy a better model. That's when it was explained to me that in the [redacted] area Cricket DOES NOT EVEN HAVE 4G CAPABILITY. They sell the plan, but they don't have the capability to provide 4G speeds in this area. They were supposed to obtain 4G capabilities last January, 11 months ago, but have not yet and do not know when they will. However they WILL NOT REFUND MY MONEY. Review: I contacted Cricket Communications today (3/1/14) regarding a Bridge Pay that was set up via text message. In the past, I have set up Bridge Pay via a customer service representative. I opted to use the text message this time to avoid a fee. Something went wrong and the payment arrangement did not set. I contacted Cricket and spoke with ** rep #[redacted] who explained that I would need to set up Bridge Pay through the automated system. I expressed my concern with this, as I had already tried using the text option and that didn't work. ** outright REFUSED to set up the Bridge Pay and then tried to say that the reps did not have the capability to do so. I tried to explain that I did not want to use the automated system and also that a rep has set up Bridge Pay for me before. ** continued to argue with me, so I requested a supervisor. ** then said she was going to transfer me back to the automated system, I then stated FOUR more times that I wanted a supervisor. I was finally connected to supervisor, who not only did not listen to anything that I was trying to explain, but threatened twice to hang up on me. Nothing was resolved, and Cricket is clearly not interested in what I have to say, fixing my issue, or my business for that matter.Desired Settlement: I would like for my Bridge Pay to be set up PROPERLY and an explanation as to why a customer service representative cannot set up Bridge Pay, yet I did it via a rep 2 months ago. Review: Cricket Wireless LLC has systematically attempted to throttle and reduced my data speeds on my Apple iPhone 5s (LTE) device. Currently, I have active service with Cricket Wireless LLC. My current cell phone plan is called Pro. With this PRO plan it offers unlimited voice, text, MMS & data. They state Data is high speeds up to 10 Gigabytes per monthly cycle. Once the 10 GB's are reached, speeds are reduced. While I am within my 10 Gigabytes the LTE data speeds are heavily throttled, preventing me from benefiting from the speeds offered with the LTE technology. I have ran several speed tests using the Speedtest App found in the Apple App Store. Conducted speed tests reveal my speeds are capped at around 10 mbps. My biggest complaint is on most occasions I am getting about 2 mbps while I have full signal strength and less than one mile from a cell phone tower. I feel Cricket Wireless LLC has mislead me and made false claims concerning their data speeds to customers.Desired Settlement: I am demanding my LTE data speeds not be throttled while I am within my 10GB of monthly data usage period/cycle.

Re: [redacted]

Cricket Account No: [redacted]

Dear Sir/Madam;

This correspondence is in reference to a complaint

filed by [redacted] regarding a Cricket purchase. In his complaint,

Mr. [redacted] states that he purchased a Cricket Wi-Fi device online. He

states that he was charged $150.00 when it was advertised at $100.00. Mr.

[redacted] is requesting a refund for $50.00 because he did not receive the

advertised price.

We apologize to Mr. [redacted] for any

inconvenience or poor service he felt he received. Cricket strives to provide

excellent customer service and we regret when that high standard is not met.

In reviewing Mr. [redacted]’s account we have

identified that the device he purchased was in fact advertised at $149.99 with

a $50.00 instant web discount. The final cost when Mr. [redacted] closed his

sale should have been $99.99 plus tax. We have identified that this may have

been caused by a defect on the web page, and have deployed the appropriate

department to research and correct the defect that caused this.

On May 31, 2013 a refund was processed back to Mr.

[redacted]’s credit or debit card, in the amount of $53.26. The confirmation

for this refund is [redacted], and can take 3-5 business days to process.

We thank Mr. [redacted] for his communication

and we trust this action resolves his complaint.
