Review: I called Cricket concerning obtaining my phone records for my job and I was told that the only way I could obtain these records was through a corporate store and that there would be a $25 fee for doing so.The problem I have with this is that the fee involved but I ALSO have to go to get a notorized letter which means more money involved to do this. This is ridiculous!!! I have been with other companies like Boost mobile and was able to access my calls online for free. They claim it is for my secuirty which is why they do not have a way for me to access it online and that it is a regulation they are following. I would think that if this were true Boost mobile would not allow it to be done and I'm certain that Boost is not the only company that allows customers to do so. They are scamming people to get more money out of the customers and charging a ridiculou price as well as having someone go to pay to get it notorized! If this is how they extort customers I don't want to be part of this company anymore.Desired Settlement: I would like to have this looked into because this is extortion at its best!

Re: [redacted]

Cricket Account No: [redacted]

Dear Sir/Madam,

This correspondence is in reference to a complaint filed by [redacted] regarding Cricket service. In his complaint, Mr. [redacted] states that he has requested a copy of his phone call records for his job. He was told that this could only be done at a Cricket corporate store, with a notarized form and a $25.00 fee. Mr. [redacted] feels this is unfair and states that his previous carrier did not charge for this fee. Mr. [redacted] feels that this is extortion and requests that the matter be looked into.

We apologize to Mr. [redacted] for any inconvenience that he may have experienced due to this matter. Cricket strives to provide excellent customer service at all times and we regret if that high standard was not met.

Customers may need call and/or text records for various reasons such as: records for a court proceeding (lawsuit or mediation), domestic dispute or even to retrieve phone numbers that were called to an old phone that was recently replaced. Cricket provides call detail records and text message logs for these situations. This data is retained by Cricket for only 6 months. Data older than 6 months is overwritten and is not able to be recovered. Call record and text record requests are two separate requests based on a per month basis. Partial month records are not prorated. Customers must go to a Cricket corporate store to request a copy of their call detail records. At the store, they will be given a “Subscriber Request for Call Detail Records” form. This form must be completed, notarized and returned to the store with a government issued ID. Only requests that are notarized will be processed due to legal requirements. This is to protect the privacy and information of the customer.

Again, we apologize to Mr. [redacted] for any inconvenience this may have caused him. While most wireless carriers operate in a similar manner, this process has been set forth by Cricket to protect the privacy and information of customers. Mr. [redacted] will need to visit a Cricket corporate store to initiate this request and address any additional questions or concerns that he has regarding this process. The nearest store is located at:

Review: On august 7th 2014 I received an automatic text from the auto pay saying my bill of 73 dol ars was dueon august 9th 2014 . On august 9th 2014 I received another automatic text from the same number stating my check was returned for insufficient funds. Being after my bank closed for the day I just paid from another account to avoid interruption of service. When I called I was informed that I was being charged an additional 25.00 fee for the return check. So a total of 98 was debited from my other account t. After paying I never received a confirmation text stating it was paid as I usually do. When called cricket has no knowledge of this payment. On monday first thing I called my bank to find out why I had a returned check for the original amount. My account was never charged on the 9th by this company nor were there any attempts to collect from this account. Therefore there is no return check fee. On sunday 8/10/14 I received a text from cricket saying my bill is due upon calling today there is still no knowledge of this payment even though I have a statement from my bank and a confirmation number showing otherwise. Every time I call I am transferred to multiple agents in multiple departments saying they are not responsible. This is the second time I have had money "lost" by their company. SoDesired Settlement: I would like my account to reflect the payment plus the 25.00 return check returned since there was never a returned check. I would also like an apology and some kind of reimbursement for my stress and aggervation for what looks like someone on there end pocketed/stole 98 dollars from my account

Review: I purchased 2 $25 credits for a cricket phone at [redacted] on [redacted] because someone asked me to pay their phone bill and he had a cricket go phone. I asked the lady if I could pay the phone bill and she told me I had to purchase credits for the cricket phone. I asked how would the customer know how that the credits were available, the clerk explained that the customer would have to enter a PIN provided on the receipt and that the phone would have the minutes added to the phone. Well come to find out, I contacted the Cricket service the phone in question is different and requires a PIN which the Cricket phone holder did not have and I could not use the PIN # on the received. Inquired as to whether there was some way the credit could be transferred to the phone in question, and received a negative reply. I contacted the Cricket wireless and was informed that I would have to return to the retailer and request a refund. Contacted the store at [redacted] and was informed that they do not give refunds. So I asked the clerk did she mean that I was out of $52.50 and she stated "yes". .I asked her for the number of the regional store. I called [redacted] and the operator. and she left a message with the manager. The manager called and spoke to my husband and said that she would call us back. As of this day, I haven't heard from Cricket or [redacted]. I would like the funds refunded to my account or I would like a check in the amount of $52.50.The receipt states that you must use the PIN within. I can provide a printed copy of the receipt for the pin and the transaction [redacted].Desired Settlement: I would like a check in the amount of $52.50 or the fund reimbursed to my checking account.

Review: I was highly misled on financing a phone from Cricket Wireless Metro Center location. I was told that upon approval my payments would be 50.00 every two weeks and that I would have my phone paid off in 6 months. I found out this was wrong when I called progressive to find out why I am still owing a large amount on my phone. I spoke with representative and she states I would have an early buyout on 990 for the finance bill on 600 worth of merchandise. I want this issue corrected and compensated for this misleading sale.Desired Settlement: I want the difference covered by Cricket Wireless!!!

when financing a phone from Cricket. She states that she was told her payment

would be $50.00 every two weeks for six months. Ms. [redacted] states that she called

Progressive to inquire about her balance but they told her she would need to

time of activation. When a customer decides to lease their device their initial

payment will include 10% of the lease amount for any device and/or accessory,

plus the cost for Cricket service and any fee costs.

Cricket

Review: I purchased a samsung galaxy 4 one year ago for $600 from Cricket wireless. Well actually I ended up buying it for twice that much due to the fact that when I signed up I was not verbally told if I didn't pay the phone off in one months time than the cost would be double. When I asked about it I was told it was written in my 20 page contract somewhere. Now I find out that cricket merged with At&t a few months ago and anyone who purchased a phone from them before the merge is considered "in the old network" and will have to buy a new phone by March 2014. They will let you trade in your old phone and give you a tiny fraction of what you paid for it towards the purchase of another phone. So even though my phone is only a year old...I will have to pay several hundred dollars for another phone! I called the cricket headquarters to confirm what I was told in the store and sure enough its true. I asked exactly when they were planning to let their customers know of this change and was told they were in the process of sending out letters. They are right out stealing from their customers!I will not be purchasing another phone from them needless to say! I cannot believe they can get away with this. Why should the customers be punished for the company merging. If the "old" phones are not compatible with the new service than they should be replaced at no charge, or at least phones purchased within the past year or two. I will be switching networks before March. I will not do service with a company that steals from their clients.Desired Settlement: I think its only right that the company either replace my phone with the same type of phone that will work in the new network at no cost to me. Or refund me all or some of the money I paid them for the phone including the insurance I have been paying for every month which now is pointless.

Cricket Account No: [redacted]

Dear Sir/Madam,

This correspondence is in reference to a complaint filed by [redacted] in regards to her Cricket CDMA device not being compatible with Cricket’s new GSM network. In her complaint, Ms. [redacted] claims she was not told about the merger and purchased a CDMA device a year ago. Ms. [redacted] would like Cricket to replace her CDMA device with a device compatible with the new GSM network or a refund for the device and her insurance premiums.

We apologize to Ms. [redacted] for any inconvenience or poor service she felt she received. Cricket strives to provide excellent service and we regret when that high standard is not met.

On July 12 2013, it was announced publicly that AT&T intended to purchase Leap Wireless International (Cricket). The transaction was subject to review by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and the Department of Justice (DOJ) as well as other routine closing conditions. Until the transaction was approved and filings complete on March 13, 2014 we remained competitors with AT&T. Upon completion of the acquisition, we notified our customers of the upcoming changes and although the financial transaction for our merger is complete, we still have a lot of work to do in order to combine our brands. We will be upgrading our CDMA network to a 4G LTE GSM network and expect to stop offering CDMA wireless service in most areas as early as March 2015.

As a current Cricket customer, there is nothing that Ms. [redacted] needs to do right now. Ms. [redacted]’ phone and phone number will continue to work and her monthly rates will remain the same. We are unable to provide a replacement phone that is compatible with Cricket’s new GSM network. There will be ongoing promotions, incentives and phone trade-in options for Ms. [redacted] if she chooses to activate service on Cricket’s new network. We ask that she visit the nearest Cricket store for additional information.

We thank Ms. [redacted] for his communication and trust that this explanation properly addresses his complaint.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

[First off it would be nice if I was called by MY name instead of by multiple other people's names in one letter! Its clear the company sent is some kind of automatic response and my complaint was not taken seriously. I do not feel that I should have to purchase another phone when I just purchased my current one a year ago. I've also been paying insurance this past year and was told that I couldn't use that as a deductible to replace my phone for one in the current network so what was the point in paying for insurance all this time? My phone should be replaced for one in the "current network" at no charge or by using my insurance deductible . I should not have to pay for another phone. And stating that I can trade my "old" one in for payment towards another one is not acceptable considering the trade in value is less than $100 and a new one cost over $500.

Review: I purchased Cricket to lower my phone service costs on 9/14/13.I was required to fill out an extensive credit check for a prepaid service and a phone I was paying cash for, the total cost of $91. On 9/16, I attempted to return the phone as I was unable to get ANY service in my apartment. The rep made excuses as to why she couldn't take my return as well as telling me I would be required to pay a $35 restocking fee on the phone (a $15 return on the $91 I'd paid them for getting NO service). I phoned their customer service line, spent nearly 2 hours on the phone (my [redacted] phone) and was ultimately referred back to their corporate store. Today (9/27) I attempted to return the phone to the corporate store I was referred to. They advised me that I would have to take the return back to the store I purchased it from. At that point, I told them I would NOT deal with the other store, told them to keep the phone, and left it on their counter as I walked out. I've just spent ANOTHER 30 minutes on the phone with their "customer service" trying to make sure they don't take a dime out of my checking account.Desired Settlement: I realize I am not eligible to have any of the monthly fee refunded (even though I didn't use it). Review: I received a ZTE Z500 Phone for a Cricket Phone dealer in the [redacted] back in June 2012, I did not buy a maintenance Plan because I did not plan to have the service for long. (a few months). As it turned I I had to keep this service because of the cost of a regular carrier. I have been having problems with this phone from day one. I have gone back and forth to the store of purchase only to be told that they could only look at the phone and possibly reset it, nothing more. Also there are no records recorded from the store of purchase when there should be. I have been experiencing slow response using internet or call response. I have called the corporate number to have them assist me only to get the same type of assistance. Recently (Sunday, October 27), I called to complain about my internet connection not working (Call # 4 within the last 30 days) and I was told a Advance tier technician would call me within sometime that afternoon (10/27/2013). Every time I have called I got a run around. I called later that after noon and was told someone would call me within 48 hrs, well 48 hrs turned into 120 hrs or 5 days. I had to call them back because they called me on my cell phone which is the defective phone. I called them and I was told someone would call me back in 2 hour. Review: I was told I could use my iphone with cricket wireless and I could use my current phone number, I put in my iem number and they choose my sim card that would be compatable with my phone. They told me all I would have to do was activate the sim card online and insert it into my phone. I did that when I received the sim card, they ported my number to cricket from verizon and when I tried to power up my cell my phone would not work. I have been on the phone with cricket support, verizon support and apple support, none of which could help me. My cell service was interupted for over 36 hours when I went to walmart to have the Lady there help me port my number back to verizon. I lost over 8 hours at work and this is my only phone number so it is also a work phone, I am a LMT and know of at least two massages I missed out on. Cricket wireless knew they could not connect with my cell phone and sold me a service I could not use.Desired Settlement: A refund or a lawyer to help me
