Review: I went into the store at Cricket Wireless to pay my monthly bill and to get assistance with my Blu phone. The representative took the payment then told me that although the phone is sold by Cricket they do not give technical support for the phone. After 2 hours of not being able to assist me I call customer service. I decided to switch providers and port my number to the new carrier. Since the bill was paid until 7/5/14 I told them I wanted to change the device and number to another phone from Cricket. I was told it would be no problem just bring the phone and the IEM number can be changed. Until today when I called to customer service who is saying my account was cancelled since the number was ported. But they are refusing to give back the $50.00 from yesterday. This is unacceptable and STEALING!Desired Settlement: Please refund my $50.00 that I paid to Cricket Wireless on 6/6/14.

Review: Went to an Authorized Cricket store to port my number and start service. That store had issues so they sent me to another store about 2 miles away. That store had issues and we (Cricket and I) were on the phone with customer service for about 2 hours. At that time they stated Cricket had an issue with their system and I would need to come back tomorrow. I returned and we went through everything another 2 hours. They stated one phone would be ready, done with port at 7:49PM, the other around 8:20PM at 8PM both phone lost connectivity and could not dial. I called Cricket and they stated that it would be 12 hours before I could call, the porting was not complete. 9AM next morning still nothing, I called Cricket they had no idea what to do, I called Verizon Global support and even visited a Verizon store, they were the old provider, they could not help. I returned to the Cricket store they could not help. I went to ATT and within 30 minutes I ported my numbers to ATT and my phones were up and running. Cricket never could give me any service, they could not activate any of my lines. I called them 4 times, I called Verizon, I visited the Cricket authorized store 4 times. Nothing would work so I had to go to another provider to get my phones working again.Desired Settlement: I am looking for a full refund on these two accounts, the first is $77.44 and the second is $87.44 for a total of $164.88. Cricket just wants to refund the SIM costs of $9.99 each and the activation fee of $25.00 each or $69.98. They refuse to refund the 1st month service of $45 and $50, total $95.

Review: Cricket sales person sold me an unlimited plan. Explained to me unlimited- minutes, text, Internet, pictures, unlimited everything that's why I purchased plan. Since I have had plan. My payment has changed 5 times from $32,- $42, $37, $42, now $37.05...cricket told me if I set up automatic payment my plan is $5.00 off per month.. Then cricket sent me a text raised a dollar on my plan. Then they ran auto-pay. Then Charged me same amount with no $5.00 discount as promised. Terrible customer service that doesn't listen to anything customer says, hold times are ridiculous. Cricket texts me every other day telling me my my plans time is running out. Just paid my bill may 3rd, 2013, 5 days ahead still getting texts from cricket.Desired Settlement: Need to know what my bill amount is every month with autopay with$5.00 discount. Send me my original paperwork when I signed up for cricket. Customer service to quit wasting my time!![redacted]

Dear Sir/Madam;
This correspondence is in reference to a
complaint filed by [redacted]. In his complaint, Mr. [redacted] states that since he
signed up with Cricket his bill has changed every month. Mr. [redacted] also states
that he set up automatic bill pay which comes with a $5.00 discount. Mr. [redacted]
was charged his monthly bill with and states the $5.00 discount was not
reflected. Mr. [redacted] also states that he has had a very bad experience with
customer service. Mr. [redacted] requests three months of free service for his
inconvenience.
We apologize to Mr. [redacted] for any
inconvenience or poor service he felt he received.
We spoke with Mr. [redacted] on May 9, 2013 to
discuss his complaint. We informed Mr. [redacted] that the auto bill pay was added to
his account on February 08, 2013 and the discount associated with that feature
started reflecting on March 08, 2013. A credit of $5.00 was given on May 02,
2013 to adjust for the month that the auto bill pay discount did not reflect.
At this time we are unable to fulfill Mr. [redacted]’s request for three months of
service credit towards his account, however a credit of $38.05 was applied to
Mr. [redacted]’s account for the inconvenience he experienced.
We thank Mr. [redacted] for his communication and

Review: This complaint is about Cricket wireless They basically stole my $60 dollars an is saying they don't do refunds. I moved outside of the coverage area a year ago an my phone has been working fine, I got a text message from them saying my rates was going to change, I called to ask about it an the sales guy had no idea what he was talking about he had me even more confused about what it meant. I had always known my text an internet may not work, but I was never told I would not be able to get or make calls! The day I paid my bill $60.00 they turn off my phone an I can no longer make or get calls. I explained what happened to several managers an supervisors an they all basically told me I wasted my money an there's nothing they can do. They don't do refunds so I cant have my money back, I wont get service that I paid for. An I can buy a pay go phone an pay for activation an pay as I go. I will never use Cricket wireless again they have horrible customer service an is a rip off. Also the call center did not want to give me the number to the corporate office, one lady acted like she couldn't here me. An now when I call cricket I get a message saying no one can help me. I can no longer reach customer service.Desired Settlement: I WOULD LIKE MY MONEY BACK They should change there refund policy for things like this. It seams like they don't care as long as they get paid.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
this is another reason why I do not recommend cricket. They stated my services has been working since the 11th . That is only because I came back in the coverage area . AN THE SERVICE IS NOT WORKING. Now I am only able to text an make calls. The data service I paid for is not working at all. An I'm in the coverage area. And as I stated I can not call cricket because they blocked me from calling. This says a lot about your company. An just for the record. When I called before they blocked me an asked what the text message meant the representative had no clue. An told me that it was about the option to change the data plan not that I would no longer get service.

Review: My son purchased a cell phone to use due to his being damaged. The phone they sold him could not be activated. The staff refused a refund.
The phone my son purchased for $115 had a [redacted] on the face, but could not be programmed. He went back to get his money back but was told the owner had a strict no refund policy. I talked to an employee on the phone who told me the owner was not there, but the owner was the one that had sold my son the phone. When my son got there, the owner was not there, and the man I spoke to told my son that he had NEVER told me the owner sold him the phone. My son told me the guy there, was the one that had sold him the phone the day before. When I spoke to the employee, he assured me that he would have another phone of similar value to exchange. My son told me the phone he tried to exchange was an older model, thta we had found at another outlet for $25. I have never heard of a business that has such a strict no refund policy. Afterall, there product did not work. It was a 24 hour old transaction. Why wouldnt he do the right thing and simply refund the money. Irritation caused this complaint, but being called a liar by an irresponsible employee caused me to proceed and file this. Terrible customer service!!! If I had the ability, I would stand in front of this business with a sign warning anybody to stay away from this place.Desired Settlement: Take back the phone that will not allow re-programming, and refund our money. Simple as that. I told the employee that a person can legally return a car within 3 days and get a full refund under the law. Why would anyone do business with a company that doesnt care anything about customer service, doing the right thing, or at the very least standing behind their product.?

Review: I have been going through cricket for years now, and have activated many lines on my account. Today I call and I am going through the recording and following the commands. I select the option to add a line and the recording proceeds to say there is a fifteen dollar activation fee that was required at that time of activation, then gives you the option to pay with check or debit card. When I selected debit card it sent me to a customer service agent who proceeded to tell me that for a used non smart phone it would cost 21 dollars. I let them know that they had false advertisement and they did nothing to help the situation. I am tired of this service and the way they treat their customers, when I let them know about the recording they said I was the first to complain and that their technical support was going to be changing the recording. So then I hung up and recorded the recording of how they said it was 15 dollars.Desired Settlement: I just want them to be reprimanded for their false advertisement and their failure to make their customer happy. I would like for them to make the situation right, whatever that may entail. Maybe a free months of service something.

Cricket Account No: [redacted]
Dear Sir/Madam,
This correspondence is in reference to a complaint filed by [redacted] regarding Cricket service. In her complaint, Ms. [redacted] states that she called Cricket’s automated system and selected the option to add a line. She states that the recording told her there is a $15.00 dollar activation fee that is required at the time of activation, and then gave her the option to pay with a check or debit card. She states that she selected debit card, and was then transferred to a customer service representative. The representative told her that it would cost $21.00 to activate the phone. Ms. [redacted] feels that Cricket falsely advertised a $15.00 activation fee. She is requesting that Cricket be reprimanded for false advertisement and requests a credit for a free month of service.
We apologize to Ms. [redacted] for any inconvenience or poor service she felt she received. Cricket strives to provide excellent customer service and we regret when that high standard is not met.
All wireless activations include an activation fee for each new line of service. The fee amounts are $15.00-$30.00 depending on the activation and device type.
· A $15.00 activation fee applies to a new Cricket device that is added to an existing account during an Add-A-Line activation or for a device that is activating on Cricket’s network for the first time.
· A $20.00 activation fee applies to basic phones that have been already activated with Cricket in the past.
· A $30.00 activation fee applies to smartphones that have already been activated with Cricket in the past.
On June 9, 2013, Ms. [redacted] requested to activate a basic phone that had been previously activated on Cricket’s network. The appropriate activation fee for this type of activation is $20.00 plus tax. Ms. [redacted] informed Cricket of the $15.00 activation fee that was advertised on the automated message. We advised Ms. [redacted] that the advertisement does not state specifics. We advised Ms. [redacted] that we were unable to activate the device for $15.00. We offered Ms. [redacted] a $6.00 service credit for the misunderstanding, if she would agree to pay the activation fee of $21.00, the credit would offset the cost to be equivalent to the advertised price. Ms. [redacted] declined this offer and decided not to activate a second line of service.
We are unable to fulfill Ms. [redacted]’s request for a free month a service. Should she decide to add a line of service, we will honor our original offer to apply a $6.00 credit after the $21.00 activation fee has been collected. This will be notated on her Cricket account.
We thank Ms. [redacted] for her communication and trust that this explanation properly addresses her complaint.

Review: Although my bill was paid before the actual date, it has been turned off twice due to non payment. First occurance took a day to fix. Three days later it was shut off again. That has been over three days ago. Despite repeated visits to my local cricket store and even talking to corporate customer service, there seems to be no solution. I also know of several cricket service users that have been experiencing the same thing. I don't recommend Cricket to anyone. I am going to go get a new phone and service provider on Sunday as it is my only day off.In short. Cricket sucks.Desired Settlement: Repay the amount of $69.00 that I paid for service in the month of June 2013. Lack of service has caused me to miss calls essential to my work that has cost me much more in lost revenue and wasted time.

Review: I purchased a wireless telephone & monthly account from Cricket on 3/17/13. I could, within the first 24 hours of use, tell there were some problems with my phone; it was not working properly. I tried to return the phone to get another one, a refund or have it repaired AND WAS REFUSED ON ALL THREE OF THESE OPTIONS!! Since then I have encountered many mnay problems regarding this phone's malfunctioning: it cuts off calls in the middle, the setting for ringtone automatically switches off to a SILENT MODE and my voice mail doesn't work, for example!! I HAVE ATTEMPTED TO RETURN THE PHONE TO GET MY MONEY BACK, GET A NEW ONE OR HAVE IT FIXED AT ABOUT 10 REGIONAL CRICKET STORES SINCE MARCH OF 2013 AND (1) THE CUSTOMER SERVICE PEOPLE HAVE BEEN VERY RUDE AND UNHELPFUL, (2) THE MANAGER HAS REFUSED TO SHOW ME ANY CONSIDERATION ON THIS AND THE CORRESPONDING WIRELESS INTERNET DEVICE (CLEAR), (3) AT ONE OF THE STORES, THERE WAS LOUD NOISE AND DISTRACTIONS, (4) THE PROBLEMS WITH THE PHONE HAVE GOTTEN WORSE,(5) I CANNOT USE MY PHONE NOW FOR REGULAR CALLS, (6) THE VOICE MAIL SYSTEM DOESN'T WORK AT ALL NOW. THIS HAS INFURIATED ME AND IT WOULD SEEM THAT THIS COMPANY'S ACTIONS ARE FRAUDULENT, IRRESPONSIBLE AND VERY UNPROFESSIONAL TO ME!! Now I am stuck without a phone to use and cannot use the number for this phone so I'm inconvenienced in many ways by this awful service!!!Desired Settlement: Since I cannot use my phone number or phone device with this company for regular use, I have to go out and purchase another phone with another phone carrier. This would to me represent gross inconveniencing of the customer and I feel I am entitled to a refund of $1,050.00 plus I am considering taking futher action on this matter.

Review: I purchased the new [redacted] phone for $299.00 plus tax in February 2013, unfortunately the phone had some issues such as: 1. The screen blacks out continuously. Therefore I am unable to make any business call that requires entrance of numbers. The screen goes blank before you get a chance to enter a number i.e. a zip code, phone number etc; and it takes several seconds before it lights up again (this is ongoing for the duration of every call.)2. Also the phone will randomly dial contacts without touching it. 3. I'm unable to utilize caller ID because the screen will not stay lit long enough to view the screen for incoming calls.4. There are other issues as well.I filed two claims since I purchased the phone in February,2013 and both were replaced with new phones that was the same model. I am now using the third phone and unfortunately I'm experiencing the same problems with this phone. Today I contacted both Cricket and [redacted] (the insurance claims department for Cricket);I explained that the phone must have a defect within the structure of the phone. I asked If I could have a refund; and both refused, but offered to send another phone(same model) after I pay a $10.00 shipping fee (claim id [redacted]). I must mention that [redacted] once attempted to replace the "[redacted]" phone with an "Engage" which is a down grade from the [redacted] and the price difference was $100.00 less, therefore I refused, considering that the problem existed when I bought the first phone. I am very disappointed with Cricket's customer service and I am now seeking a new wireless carrier, however I need the refund to purchase another phone.Desired Settlement: I would like a complete refund from Cricket for a defective phone that was sold to me in February 2013; which has been replace twice and now the third phone is also defective. I need a reliable wireless phone for both personal and business calls. However, cannot afford to buy another phone, without first receiving a refund for the damaged phone that was sold to me by Cricket.

Review: Bought two phones, two cases on June 20, 2013 and paid a total of $315.59. Did not get service in or outside of our home. Returned phones July 14th (withing 30 day period) was told the total amount we could be refunded was $103 - restocking fees, no original wrappers cases, etc. ( However, our salesman took our cases out of their wrappers, placed them on the phones and threw the wrapping away knowing full well we would need that wrapping for a refund.) Not happy about it but said okay. Our original payment was on a debit card but we were told Cricket was not equipped to refund on debit; we would have to take cash. Fine, except we were then told they didn't have that amount in the register just yet and to come back later. We got busy and didn't return again until July 18 and was told we'd have to come back that Sunday when our original salesman was there. We returned that Sunday only to be told he couldn't refund us because it was now 31 days, and we only had a 30 day return policy. The salesman called the owner who said they could send a tech to the house, but couldn't tell us what good that would do. The gentleman then said "I TOLD you to come back later that day!" I have faxed and mailed Cricket and haven't heard from them. I feel I'm entitled to my refund since we were there in the allotted time but they could not provide either the service or the refund. The attitude that we could just come back when told was pretty annoying too.Desired Settlement: I would like the $103 dollars for the phones and the $24.99, $29.99, and $11 for the cases and screen protector we were not allowed to return because we didn't have original wrappers.

A guy who referred to himself as [redacted] listen to me very briefly before saying I will see what I can do and hung up in my face. I tried multiple times to call the store back but kept getting the voicemail. I called Crickets 1800# and spoke with a lady who told me nothing had been notated on my account when I asked to speak with a supervisor I was placed on hold twice for more than several mins and never spoke with a supervisor. I called the store back and a lady answered. I told her the issue and she placed me on hold after several mins she returned and asked for my pin # I gave it to her and she allowed me a 3 day extension. WHen I informed her my main concern was the rude employee she stated you have your extension now there should be no problem. Here is the problem though. I have been a very unvalued cricket customer for many years and I must have my phone for my job. Since the guy didn't even bother to pull up my account she just stated he would try to get me the extension then hung up on me. If I would not have called back My phone would have been disconnect because he failed to do what he said and I would have lost my job. If this is the way cricket is going to allow their workers treat customers people are gonna get screwed over and over thinking something was done that was never completed.Desired Settlement: I would like Cricket to contact me so that I can explain this situation to them. They are allowing their employees the right to screw up other peoples lives and that is just not okay. I have kids to support and for me to lose my job bc of cricket would have been very bad for me and my family when I did my job and called them. I understand the 3 day extension is a courtesy but being treat the way I was by every person I interacted with was ridiculous!

I have already been told by the nm Revdex.com that not having a system in place to assist a disabled customer who cannot get into a store is disability discrimination. I want my account credited for what I have already payed.

Review: I made a payment to cricket. they said at first they did not receive a payment, and ask for a copy of my bank statement to prove I make the payment. I fax that off and called the next day they said that the money was declined and sent back to my bank so I called my bank they said they have not received anything. so I called cricket back that day the supervisor was very rude and hang up on me. the next supervisor said they sent it back. I called today and they are saying to talk to my bank my bank dose not have it. I am with out a phone so if the school call about my girls I will not know. I just want my money back.Desired Settlement: 94.00

Review: Took phone to [redacted] store to re-activate and change sd cards for more memory. Employee changed sd card and phone hasn't worked right since. The employee said "I don't know what to tell you. Your going to have to buy a new phone."...Really??? Then I was told to go to [redacted] store, went there and was told by that "supervisor" he talked to the manager at the [redacted] store and to go back there. Called Customer Service and was told I had a 1 year warranty because the phone was bought new. Went back to [redacted] store where the employee and her "supervisor" [redacted] decided I was lying about the employee breaking my phone, and in front of a lobby full of customers not only accused me of being deceitful but said no one called her (even though her trainee admitted hearing the conversation the previous day) then told me the sd card just happened to stop working when her employee took it out, then said the crack at the top of my "waterproof" phone from 4 months prior is what caused it to stop working at that moment, AND THEN proceeded to talk to me like I was garbage from the moment I stepped away from the counter until the exit door shut completely. Yelling at me in front of all those people and talking to me like that? I don't think so. This is who represents Cricket and even the Corporate Office employee who oversees these "customer dis-service reps" wouldn't return my calls. I've used Cricket for years and Im appalled by the way I was treated that day. What a looser company, but what else can you expect from a cheap, poorly managed business like Cricket.Desired Settlement: All I wanted was my cell phone to be working the way it was when I brought it into Cricket. The employee even sprayed computer duster in it. But after the way I was treated by their staff, it would take 3 New top of the line phones and a free year of service and thats only if I was feeling generous. I am posting this incident on all the public blogs and forums I can find and highly recommend a different plan such as the Walmart family plan. BEWARE OF Cricket, they are no good!!!!

Review: I recently changed my service with Cricket. This change of service required I go into a store as it could not be done online. I went to my local store and changed service. I had to pay a total of $82 to change this service. I requested that it just be put on my bill. They said I had to pay this up front and it would show up on my bill later. Only $22 showed up on my account. A separate $60 charge never appeared. When I spoke to Cricket customer service...They said I should not have been charged the $60 charge and go back to the store for a refund. I returned to the store and they refused to credit the $60 charge. I then spoke to cricket customer service and they said they would credit my account. After 4 attempts and being told each time they would credit my account...The $60 credit has still not been done. I have spent hours and days of my time to get this corrected. At this point...It is not just the $60...But I want everyone to know how Cricket rips people off and gets away with it!!!!Desired Settlement: I would like my $60 credited to my account and an apology from the CEO of Cricket. I want to ensure the senior management knows what poor service his company gives their customers. Hopefully this will prevent this from happening to someone else.
