Review: Firstly, I was tricked into signing a bogus contract from a Cricket Wireless Representative, Telling me I was purchasing the phone. Then, After over-drafting my account 6 times and ruining me financially. The [redacted] representative referred me to a manager after stealing 600$ from me over the course of three months when the phone is not even worth that much. Then, The supervisor after arguing with me over the phone, tells me, that the account would be canceled if I paid them 300 dollars which I did through my bank and they said they never got the money!!!!!! After this complaint I will get copies of the money order to cricket wireless and [redacted]. After telling me to pay money which they "supposedly" never received in the amount of 300$ and that they would close the account. Which was a lie because they refused to me any proof that they would close the account after I paid them. Then, They repeated that they would close the account quote on quote "to shut me up." I am very frustrated!!!!!!!!!!! I can't afford to keep having them break into my bank accounts and steal all the money I own. HELP!Desired Settlement: 600 every bit of the money they stole from me I will return the phone I don't want it!!!!!!! I just want my money so I can survive!

Review: I was told, repeatedly, that my [redacted] Galaxy S3 was fully compatible on the AIO/Cricket Network. I was lied to. Firstly, I received the incorrect size of SIM card (received a mini-sim) when the phone only accepts a micro-sim. A new sim card was sent to me, which took several days to receive. Upon activation of the service, it became clear, very quickly, that my phone was in fact not compatible. I spent several hours on the phone with both [redacted] tech support and aio/cricket tech support with no success. The only reason I signed up for service is because I was told, repeatedly , that my phone was fully compatible 4G LTE on the AIO network.Desired Settlement: I only had the wireless service activated for about 2 days. I contacted aio/cricket to get a refund and they told me no. All I want is a refund of my money.

Dear Sir/Madam,

This correspondence is in reference to a complaint filed by [redacted]. In review of the complaint details, it has been determined that Mr. [redacted] is a customer on Cricket’s GSM network. At this time, our [redacted] offices have not been integrated to support customers on our new network and only have the ability to support Cricket’s legacy CDMA customers. Please note, Mr. [redacted]’s complaint has been forwarded to our Cricket Support Team located at [redacted], who will contact him to discuss his concerns.

We thank Mr. [redacted] for his communication. If he has any additional concerns, we ask that he contact Customer Service at [redacted].

Based on the aforementioned we respectfully request that Mr. [redacted]’s complaint is closed at this time, because we cannot assist in this matter.

Review: I bought a cell phone for my wife 11/2013, it was a gift. I bought it under the specific guarantee that although Cricket was 3g at the time, once they upgrade their towers it will work flawlessly in their 4g network. I was fooled like the majority of the customers unfortunately, because today I was on hold for 1.5 hours for customer service. I was told that my approx. 6 month old $280 cell phone CAN NOT be transferred to the new cricket wireless ( as promised), its not compatible. Also to top it off once the OLD Cricket network closes next year the phone won't even work anymore. The phone in question is a Cricket ZTE 4g LTE. It's worth ZERO credits as told to me by a authorized dealer in town, and to boot only customer service in corporate can handle cases. It was quite alarming that the authorized dealer doesn't even know how to navigate through the Cricket account. Basically what happened from what I've found out is that ATT has bought cricket as of 5/17/2014, and cricket is running away from their problems. My issues have started at exactly 5/17/2014, funny enough. Its quite strange there is an OLD and NEW Cricket that exists simultaneously. I was also told that my phone works in 4g as long a I travel out of [redacted] and [redacted], under the OLD network. My issue is that if this was the plan than why wrongly sell hundreds of these particular handsets in [redacted] and put customers upside down, and to make guarantees that were false. I've spoken to customer care, authorized dealers and got no where. Now when I call customer care my accounts don't exist. So I can't get a phone for the New network unless I pay out of pocket again, or I can get the exact model replacement as I was told, how would that help? So now that I live in [redacted] under the OLD cricket regime; I can barely make calls out, I can't web brows, email, or text, or take incoming calls as efficiently before. I think its only fair to me that I get a phone of the same value that will work in the new network. Too much to ask?Desired Settlement: I would be fine with a replacement but more than likely it will be the exact same model I have now, so I would rather get my money back to buy a phone that will work in the new cricket network. Its only fair that I get a refund to purchase an adequate handset that will not leave my current [redacted] wife without a dependable means of contact.

Online Complaint

Re: [redacted]

Revdex.com Complaint ID: [redacted]

Cricket Account No: [redacted]

Dear Sir/Madam,

This correspondence is in reference to a complaint filed by [redacted] regarding Cricket service. In his complaint, Mr. [redacted] states he purchased a phone for his wife in November 2013. He was told that although Cricket was 3G at the time, once their towers were upgraded the phone would work on their 4G network. He states he contacted customer service and was told that his phone cannot be transferred to the new Cricket Wireless because it is not compatible. He was told that once the old Cricket network closes in 2015, the phone will no longer work. He visited a store who told him that there was no trade-in value for his phone and he would need to pay out of pocket in order to activate on the new network. Mr. [redacted] states that he is experiencing problems with his service and cannot make calls, text or use data services. He is requesting a replacement phone or a refund so that he can purchase a phone that will work on the new Cricket network.

We apologize to Mr. [redacted] for any inconvenience or poor service he felt he received. Cricket strives to provide excellent service and we regret when that high standard is not met.

On July 12 2013, it was announced publicly that [redacted] intended to purchase Leap Wireless International (Cricket). The transaction was subject to review by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and the Department of Justice (DOJ) as well as other routine closing conditions. Until the transaction was approved and filings completed on March 13, 2014 we remained competitors with [redacted]. Upon completion of the acquisition, we notified our customers of the upcoming changes and although the financial transaction for our merger is complete, we still have a lot of work to do in order to combine our brands. As a current Cricket customer, there is nothing that Mr. [redacted] needs to do right now. His phone and phone number will continue to work and his monthly rates will remain the same. If he has a 4G LTE capable device, it will continue to work in areas where we have CDMA 4G LTE coverage ([redacted]).

We will be upgrading our CDMA network to a 4G LTE GSM network and expect to stop offering CDMA wireless service as early as March 2015. Mr. [redacted]’s CDMA device and phone plan will remain the same until these changes are completed in 2015. There will be ongoing promotions, incentives and phone trade-in options for Mr. [redacted], if he chooses to activate service on Cricket’s new network.

Regrettably, we are unable to issue a refund to Mr. [redacted] for his phone purchase because his purchase is outside of our 30 day return policy. New devices generally carry a one-year manufacturer's warranty from the date of purchase. Reconditioned wireless devices generally carry a 90-day manufacturer's warranty from the date of purchase. Most warranty claims are fulfilled through Cricket's centralized exchange by mail program and may not be fulfilled through an authorized Cricket retail location. To make a warranty claim, we ask Mr. [redacted] to please contact the Returns Center at [redacted] option * (Warranty Claims) for assistance. The support center will troubleshoot the device malfunction over the phone and provide instructions for the warranty return, if applicable. Please note, Cricket’s Handset Protection Program as well as the manufacturer’s warranty covers replacement for the same device only. In the event that the make/model is out of stock, a replacement device of like features and value will be provided.

We thank Mr. [redacted] for his communication and trust that this explanation properly addresses his complaint.

Regards,

Review: I purchased this phone from Cricket (at the time it was AIO wireless) in Feb 2014. I lost the phone, aio stated they would lock the phone till I found it. I found the phone less than 24 hours later. I called Cricket (aio) back to let them know it was found. They informed me it was unlock. I had to get another SIM card for it. Once that was done. When I tried to use it... they stated it was on the National lost and stolen list (blacklisted) that was in April. They were suppose to have the phone taken off the list, because they had proof that I purchased the phone and my identity. It's now June and it's not been removed from the list. They keep telling me that it was removed, when it fact it hasn't. They have opened several cases to resolve this issue, but it's not getting resolved. They tell me there's nothing they can do, when infact it is. I'm out of a phone that cost me 99.00 that I was only able to use a month. I have since changed wireless providers because of this issues.. but I still want to be compensated with a phone that I can use later or refunded.Desired Settlement: I wish to be refunded the 99.00 + tax for the phone or a replacement phone that is not blacklisted.

Review: I purchased a phone from Cricket and was told that in a little over a year they would be meeting with AT&T. I purchased my phone and within 3 weeks the LCD had 3 lines in it, period couldn't understand me, it refuses to read my sd card 80% of the time, my Muve Music world only half the time, and the phone had other general problems. I decided to go back to the Corporate store where I purchased the phone and was told they couldn't help me I must call the 800 number. I have made numerous attempts since 5/17/2014 to make contact with such warranty phone line and have had no luck. Also upon return to the store there was a new start of AT&T phones and was told that they had already merged and my old phone won't work on the new network. My phone is brand new and I feel very dupped. I can't believe they can do this and they are telling me my phone had no value as of 5/18/2014. Also, I have left my name and number with the duo called warranty center numerous times and never gotten a call back. The line always has at least 90-100 callers ahead of me. When asked to leave my name and number, no cash back. The other 40% of the calls I have made I have been mysteriously hung up on and forced to call back again. I have made repeated attempts to talk to a supervisor with no luck. I have gone back to the store and been told they can't help me and basically get a black stare and an oh well. I'm just so discounted with them. I left once before when I had them but I heard they got better so I went back and do I regret it. It was the worst mistake of my life because they don't care about their customers and they basically took my money for a broken product that can't even use their network anymore. You don't sell a phone to someone 3 weeks before you switch over to a new network and then just say oh well. It's wrong and I'm so upset and feel used.Desired Settlement: I would like a new phone that works on their new network because I was not told that this would happen within 3 weeks and because my "New" phone doesn't work whatsoever. I also think that they should be made to transition their customers into their new network not just leave them screwed over. I mean they have taken their customers and basically threw their middle finger up at us. I think that it is illegal and unlawful what they have done and honestly just downright dirty and underhanded.

Review: This is SUPPOSED to be a company that offers UNLIMITED TALK AND TEXT, you get "X" amount of data for a set price. My daughter and I have them, her phone bill is paid 9 days EARLY, they classed her account as FRAUD and shut her phone off! I was told by a SUPERVISOR, [redacted], that she VIOLATED her contract, for TO much usage of TALK & TEXT on an UNLIMITED Plan! Catch phrase, CONTRACT, they are a NO CONTRACT Carrier! [redacted] also stated he could not tell me how it was violated, when there is NO set MINUTES of usage, nor would he give me Corp info.He could re-instate her service if $40.00 was paid again, the amount of her bill! FRAUD!!!!!!!!!!!!Desired Settlement: Cost of paid in advance bill of $40.00 and the cost to change to a different cell phone carrier.

Review: On May 30, 2014, I went to a authorized Cricket dealer to purchase a new phone and switch to their new 4G network. I specifically asked the salespeople if tethering was available and they replied "Yes." once the sale was finalized and I tried to tether my internet which I am not allowed to do, I went back to the store and was told "Oh, no we don't offer that now." I mentioned that they said that I could a few days ago and I was told oh it was a mistake cause its not allowed. I called cricket's support number and was told tethering is against their policy and that there waS nothing to do. Also, I was charged an activation fee for migrating my account which the website says there are no activatiion fees associated with switching to the new service but I was charged $25 activation fees on each of my 2 phones. The support line says it was associated with the new phones which the website said nothing about. You have to buy a new phone to switch to 4G cause they take sim cards and the old phones don't. I need tethering for my online schooling that is why I specifically asked if it was available. Now out of $382 I spent I will only receive $208 back to purchase new phones from a carrier that has tethering. That's unfair especially since I was a loyal cricket customer for over 8 years. They won't even turn my old 3g service back on because they are trying to do away with it for the new network. So I can not recover any of the service fees because they do not give refunds.Desired Settlement: I would like all my monies refunded since they defrauded me in their service terms and fees and not having the ability to tether internet like the salesperson said I could.

Review: I have been with Cricket since I'm not sure of the exact month, but since 2008 and I have disconnected two lines of service as of 6/5/2014, which was my last day to pay my June bill and I was charge a full month of service for 9[redacted] and 9[redacted]. I paid $51 dollars for a bridge pay and still was disconnected for my line of service of 9[redacted]. After all these yers of service I did not expect this from Cricket.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund for this month's payment and my line of 9[redacted] restored immediately. Review: I attempted to purchase a new phone and service plan through their website, and was charged twice without ever completing the checkout process. Apparently they charge your card at the first step when you enter your billing information, and not when you actually confirm the purchase. I never received an email confirmation for my order, but still was charged multiple times. When I tried to call the support number listed on their website, there was no menu option for new customers everything's automated, and new customers are told to "visit the website." After a bit of googling, I found a number to reach a real live person at Cricket, who eventually directed me to their payment department. After spending several minutes on the phone with one of their payment specialists, I was told that they couldn't help me I'd need to contact my bank in order to get the phone number to request a refund for the charges that I'd never authorized in the first place. This complete lack of customer service and transparency is simply unacceptable.Desired Settlement: Cancel the purchases that have been placed on my bank account.

Review: This is in regard to my phone #[redacted], acct #[redacted] I cancelled my service on June 26, 2014 around 10:00am. My phone was completely dead by noon. On June 27, they took a payment of $53.13 off my debit card. I had been paid up at this point, the payment was for the next month of service which I did not want & had cancelled. I called them alot of times on June 28 to get a refund. They gave me a reference number of [redacted] to process this claim to get my money back. They said it would take 7-14 days to process. I called today, July 10, 2014 & they told me it had been denied. I didn't have a phone as of June 26 & I had to pay a month in advance for something I couldn't use!!! Then they told me I never cancelled the phone, even though it no longer worked!!! Then they told me this amount was unrefundable!!! Why??? Each department they sent me to told me the same thing "It's unrefundable" Please help me get my money back. I'm on social security & need this money. Thank youDesired Settlement: Just need the money $53.13. Is that too much to ask when the phone no longer worked.

Review: I ordered a SIM card with 1 month of service attached from Cricket the second week of June. They sent me a SIM with a number assigned to it, so I couldnt use that to port my number over. I called and they said they would send another SIM card out, but meanwhile I had to pay for another month of service with my current carrier. I received the SIM card a few days later with a letter that said to call when I was ready to activate it. I called yesterday to get the number ported, leaving enough time (4 days) to get the number ported. The rep I spoke to first told me I would have to visit a store to do this. I told them that was not possible, was there another alternative? The rep said they could create another account for me, have me pay for a second amount of airtime, and then they would credit me back the airtime I had paid for. I told them as long as I was not charged twice, I would be fine with this. After 40 minutes on the phone I told the rep I had to go, as my lunch was nearly over. The rep promised me a call back at 6:30 that same evening. The call never came. I called back the next day, and immediately asked to speak to a supervisor. The rep told me they were on a call that could take up to 10 minutes and they could take my info. I reluctantly started explaining the whole mess again (the third time I have done so). After 50 minutes of speaking to this rep, they told me that they had submitted the case and could do nothing more about it until it was resolved in another department. I told them I was angry and I needed this handled or I would be forced to pay for another month of service with my current company, which was not acceptable. I asked to speak to a supervisor (the second request of this). The rep refused as the supervisor was too busy with other cases. I stated I wanted to speak to someone or I wanted a phone number I could et someone above them. The rep then placed me on an endless hold for a supervisor that would never come.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund for the initial payment and I want the issue with the service resolved so I can port my number.

Review: I am reporting an issue with Cricket double charging me on my June bill for a payment which I made on June 06, 2014 in the amount of $50 and then an additional payment was made on June 12th in the amount of $20 which was the actual payment due for June. In addition to the $70 already paid, I made another advance payment for July/August cycle of $60 and have confirmation of all payments made. This payment was not applied to my account and my services are interrupted. I went into the Cricket store to show confirmation of my payments and was told I needed to speak with customer service. I called customer service several times and was told a case had to be created which has caused even futher frustration and my service has still not been restored. I should not have to go without my service because of a mistake that was made by Cricket updating the billing system and merging with another company. If an investigation needs to be conducted, they should restore my service based on the fact that I have text confirmation of the payments that were made by me. They refused repeatedly to restore my service, which is causing a serious issue with my job or family not being able to contact me. I have already spent my money for the service and I do not have the service.Desired Settlement: I am asking for a complete refund of my payments for month in advance charges. I plan to cancel this service and choose a different provider. I also want to be compensated for the huge inconvience this has caused me by not having phone service after I spent my money on it.

Review: I applied for the life line credit based on my reduced lunch that my daughter is on as well as my disability. Every month they find another reason to take the credit away and I have to drive 80 miles round trip to the store to get it straighten out because the customer service people say they can not do it. The first month they said someone was using my address so they took it off my account even though I had proof of residency with me and it was noted in the computer, second, third and fourth month I have had to drive the 80 mile round trip to do the household budget not once but all three months, this month when I got notice for the payment due in September I was told yet again I was going to have to do that round trip to again fill out the household budget. This is ridiculous. I have had this companies cell phone service for at least the last five years. I am tired of the fact that they keep taking the discount away and causing me gas and time to keep redoing everything they have asked. They need to get it right and quit jacking with people.Desired Settlement: I want the discount applied to my account and for them to quit hassling us with it every month. I also feel that since they keep hassling us that they should also reimburse us the gas money it is taking to drive up to their store to get what they request done monthly (that is another $10).

Review: Purchased the phone directly from the merchant's website (formerly AIO wireless, now merged into Cricket Wireless). The phone was advertised as coming with a $50 mail in rebate. After reviewing the wording of the terms and conditions no reason why I would not qualify was found. After submitting the required paperwork I receive now in the mail a notice saying that the payment has been denied because the activation occurred too early, that is outside the respective promotion. While the information about the start of the promotion was not clearly stated, the same promotion has been going on for months, this was the only phone I purchased on such a promotion and right now the price for the same phone is lower than what I paid minus the mail in rebate. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

[The wording of the mail in the terms of the rebate says that "the purchase must be made between these dates: 5/18/14 and 7/10/14". I purchased the phone ordering through the official website on 6/2/14 and I activated the phone upon receiving it, using the included SIM card. Please see attached the submitted paperwork which shows the same dates. Thus I followed the terms of the promotion presented to me exactly. What Cricket does is false advertising and poor customer service and I am going to make it noted. ]

Review: To whom it may concern; I have requesting a copy of my calls and text(no details) to prove that I was not text/talking on my mobile phone for the date 04/21/2014 due to the fact that I have a traffic ticket on the above date. I first contacted Cricket Wireless in May of 2014 which was the first point of contact at the store at [redacted] Rochester, NY 14605, where I spoke with representative and as well a manager, where they advise me that Cricket Wireless is now taken over by AIO wireless and the process which was to provide me a form then fill it out and notarized it was the normal process but that process doesn't exist anymore, then I ask what is the new process? the manager said she doesn't know of any process and should call the 800# at ###-###-####. After I contacted Cricket at the 800# on the day they sent me back to the store and said such info can't be obtained over the phone and I should go back to the stored, hence I went back to the store at 6[redacted] then again they said I should call back the 800# which I did after which a nice representative assist and told me a supervisor/manager is going to call me back before the day ends which I manager/supervisor did and advise me that they are working on it and it is top prior and they are thankful that I brought it to there attention because such plan was not thought of before as how a consumer will obtain such requested information. Since that time I have make several attempts to contact Cricket Wireless to resolve the issues and I have also been promised call back from manager/supervisor but I haven't got such a call/miss calls. The time for me to appear in person for an hearing I approaching which will be on August 26, 2014 and no resolution have been met.Desired Settlement: At this time I only require that all the information that I requested provided on time, otherwise.

Review: I was unaware that Cricket was bought by AT&T and that my plan was changed. I went in to purchase a new phone and was told that I have to "migrate" over to the new service. If I wanted to jeep the same price of plan I would need to buy 5 new phones and add an additional line to my service plan. Needless to say I declined and have in the same 12 hour period obtained new service with a different company. My bill was due yesterday and I called customer care and requested my money back, I was informed that because of the "terms & conditions" that I was not going to get my money back. I feel that they owe me atleast part of my money because I was not informed of any changes so that I could make an informed decision.Desired Settlement: I just want my money back
