Review: I have been a customer with Cricket Communications for many years and have had ongoing problems but they had seemed to be rectified. However, the third [redacted] cell phone I purchased from Cricket full service store at [redacted] has become defective again. It has always been the same problem where the person on the other end of the line can hear me but I can't hear them. Since the phone was easy to use and I liked the phone, I opted to re-purchase the same phone, albeit the same problem. My primary concern is that when I went to what I thought was still the same Cricket store at [redacted] I found there to be a whole new group of personnel, who were scurrying around and really did not know much of what they were doing. I had told them that I wanted to see what was wrong with my phone and then I decided that I would purchase another phone. They had the same [redacted] phone marked with a price for sale on the shelf but told me that, "the phone was discontinued". I then asked why they still had it out on display and got no answer. I also believe that despite the fact they told me they were a Cricket full service store they lied and are not. I am wondering if they are a scam team since they really seemed like they did not care about doing business or know what they were doing. The phone was not right when I left and I did not realize it until later. I was awaiting a very important business call and did not get the call due to the fact that the phone was not operating properly. The sales person, [redacted] who said he was from [redacted] and sold me the phone did not really have much knowledge of the phone. I had contacted Cricket's technical support representative who verified that the store I went to was not on the updated list as being a "full service Cricket store" but I was told by the people operating it that it was.I will have to contact my bank about this purchase since I put it on my debit card and I am not at all satisfied with the service nor do I feel confident that Cricket has authorized such unprofessional, ignorant people to operate one of their stores.Desired Settlement: I know have to go to a full service store tomorrow (I thought I already was at one today but was misinformed)and expend more time and energy to see what was going on at the store where I purchased the new phone that really does not meet my expectations.

Review: I ordered a SIM card with 1 month of service attached from Cricket the second week of June. They sent me a SIM with a number assigned to it, so I couldnt use that to port my number over. I called and they said they would send another SIM card out, but meanwhile I had to pay for another month of service with my current carrier. I received the SIM card a few days later with a letter that said to call when I was ready to activate it. I called yesterday to get the number ported, leaving enough time (4 days) to get the number ported. The rep I spoke to first told me I would have to visit a store to do this. I told them that was not possible, was there another alternative? The rep said they could create another account for me, have me pay for a second amount of airtime, and then they would credit me back the airtime I had paid for. I told them as long as I was not charged twice, I would be fine with this. After 40 minutes on the phone I told the rep I had to go, as my lunch was nearly over. The rep promised me a call back at 6:30 that same evening. The call never came. I called back the next day, and immediately asked to speak to a supervisor. The rep told me they were on a call that could take up to 10 minutes and they could take my info. I reluctantly started explaining the whole mess again (the third time I have done so). After 50 minutes of speaking to this rep, they told me that they had submitted the case and could do nothing more about it until it was resolved in another department. I told them I was angry and I needed this handled or I would be forced to pay for another month of service with my current company, which was not acceptable. I asked to speak to a supervisor (the second request of this). The rep refused as the supervisor was too busy with other cases. I stated I wanted to speak to someone or I wanted a phone number I could et someone above them. The rep then placed me on an endless hold for a supervisor that would never come.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund for the initial payment and I want the issue with the service resolved so I can port my number.

Review: I purchased this phone from Cricket (at the time it was AIO wireless) in Feb 2014. I lost the phone, aio stated they would lock the phone till I found it. I found the phone less than 24 hours later. I called Cricket (aio) back to let them know it was found. They informed me it was unlock. I had to get another SIM card for it. Once that was done. When I tried to use it... they stated it was on the National lost and stolen list (blacklisted) that was in April. They were suppose to have the phone taken off the list, because they had proof that I purchased the phone and my identity. It's now June and it's not been removed from the list. They keep telling me that it was removed, when it fact it hasn't. They have opened several cases to resolve this issue, but it's not getting resolved. They tell me there's nothing they can do, when infact it is. I'm out of a phone that cost me 99.00 that I was only able to use a month. I have since changed wireless providers because of this issues.. but I still want to be compensated with a phone that I can use later or refunded.Desired Settlement: I wish to be refunded the 99.00 + tax for the phone or a replacement phone that is not blacklisted.

Review: I had 3 lines of service with Cricket Communications. On 10/6 @ 4:13 and 4:15 (I have screenshots) and 10/7 @ 338, I attempted to contact Cricket to disconnect one line of service since I did not have insurance and my daughter got a new phone from her friend. The number was ###-###-####. When I called, I was informed that I could not reach a customer service rep and sent back to the automated system. I called again on 10/14, 4days after my due date to finally get through to a customer service rep. The rep disconnected the phone, but stated that I would stll have to pay the full months service. I advised that I was a loyal customer and would not be paying this and the rep disconnected the phone. On 10/16, I made a bridge payment of 34 dollars for two phones. This keeps the phone connected for 7days. Well, when I called Cricket this morning 10/23, I was informed that I still have to pay for a line that is disconnected. When you call the phone there is no service. It is not right to penalize a customer that attempted to get this situation resolved 10/6 and 10/7 but was not able to get through to one of their reps. Also, why would I be charged for a phone that is not connected a full month? I understand maybe I am at fault for not calling constantly (which I should not have to do) prior to my due date, but prorate should be available. Also, I advised the reps that I have the proof showing I was calling prior to the due date. Not once was I informed to go to the cricket store to assist with this issue. Unacceptable service to provide to a loyal customer.Desired Settlement: First, policy should be put in place for customers trying to disconnect services, where the charges are prorated. Second, be available at all times to assist a customer or hire more reps.

Review: I purchased two phones online 9\26\2014. I tried to cancel the orders because I moved and had put the wrong address. I was told that day that the order was cancelled and that I would receive my money back on my credit card in 3-5 business days. After 10 days I called to find out why I hadn't received my refund and was told that the order shipped and was not cancelled. I was told UPS had the phones. After talking to UPS I learned the phones had been returned to sender and received by the sender (cricket) on 10\13\2014. I called cricket again and they informed me that my cases was closed and no refund had been issued. So now cricket had both phones and my money. I just want my money back.Desired Settlement: $238

Review: When I purchased the new phone plan the deal was 4 lines for $100.00 per mo, We only needed 3 lines so we got them for 90.00. The store rep put each phone on a separate account so when its gets billed the charge of $40 per line in order to get the multiple line discount is to have all three phones on same account. I have been to the store for three billing periods in a row and the store rep cannot figure out how to put all phones on same account, after I was their once again on Mon 13 2014 the rep again could not figure out how to put the lines on same account and suggested I pay 40 per line so my phones wouldn't shut off. That would be a charge of 120.00 for the 2nd month in a row.The store that I opened the account cant figure out how to sell their plans and at this point in time I belive this is a case of deceptive advertising.Desired Settlement: Please put all phones on the same account and refund the the difference of the 30.00 I paid in sept of 2014. the other phone numbers are [redacted] and [redacted]

Review: This is in regard to my phone #[redacted], acct #[redacted] I cancelled my service on June 26, 2014 around 10:00am. My phone was completely dead by noon. On June 27, they took a payment of $53.13 off my debit card. I had been paid up at this point, the payment was for the next month of service which I did not want & had cancelled. I called them alot of times on June 28 to get a refund. They gave me a reference number of [redacted] to process this claim to get my money back. They said it would take 7-14 days to process. I called today, July 10, 2014 & they told me it had been denied. I didn't have a phone as of June 26 & I had to pay a month in advance for something I couldn't use!!! Then they told me I never cancelled the phone, even though it no longer worked!!! Then they told me this amount was unrefundable!!! Why??? Each department they sent me to told me the same thing "It's unrefundable" Please help me get my money back. I'm on social security & need this money. Thank youDesired Settlement: Just need the money $53.13. Is that too much to ask when the phone no longer worked.

Review: I have properly followed the rules of the rebate I signed up for at the start of my Cricket phone service and the rebate for $200 was not sent to me for sending in my Apple 4s iPhone. I received an email on December 12th stating that my trade-up refund was approved and to allow 6-8 weeks for refund but since then I have not heard from this company or been refunded my money. I would greatly appreciate if someone to take time and contact them regarding this, because I could have sold my phone myself and got the same amount or better but for them to get a new iPhone and I get nothing in these tough economic times is an injustice.Desired Settlement: I just need my $200 that is due to me.

I spoke with someone at Cricket and sent the initial email that came in July/August in addition to one sent in December. Why she hasn't received it is unlikely, if this is that much a problem why wasn't my iPhone returned back to me?

I can be reached at the same number Mrs. [redacted] called me on if the email she asked for hadn't be received. I don't want any problems just my money or my iPhone, thanks.

Regards,

Review: I attempted to purchase a new phone and service plan through their website, and was charged twice without ever completing the checkout process. Apparently they charge your card at the first step when you enter your billing information, and not when you actually confirm the purchase. I never received an email confirmation for my order, but still was charged multiple times. When I tried to call the support number listed on their website, there was no menu option for new customers everything's automated, and new customers are told to "visit the website." After a bit of googling, I found a number to reach a real live person at Cricket, who eventually directed me to their payment department. After spending several minutes on the phone with one of their payment specialists, I was told that they couldn't help me I'd need to contact my bank in order to get the phone number to request a refund for the charges that I'd never authorized in the first place. This complete lack of customer service and transparency is simply unacceptable.Desired Settlement: Cancel the purchases that have been placed on my bank account.

Review: I bought a cell phone for my wife 11/2013, it was a gift. I bought it under the specific guarantee that although Cricket was 3g at the time, once they upgrade their towers it will work flawlessly in their 4g network. I was fooled like the majority of the customers unfortunately, because today I was on hold for 1.5 hours for customer service. I was told that my approx. 6 month old $280 cell phone CAN NOT be transferred to the new cricket wireless ( as promised), its not compatible. Also to top it off once the OLD Cricket network closes next year the phone won't even work anymore. The phone in question is a Cricket ZTE 4g LTE. It's worth ZERO credits as told to me by a authorized dealer in town, and to boot only customer service in corporate can handle cases. It was quite alarming that the authorized dealer doesn't even know how to navigate through the Cricket account. Basically what happened from what I've found out is that ATT has bought cricket as of 5/17/2014, and cricket is running away from their problems. My issues have started at exactly 5/17/2014, funny enough. Its quite strange there is an OLD and NEW Cricket that exists simultaneously. I was also told that my phone works in 4g as long a I travel out of [redacted] and [redacted], under the OLD network. My issue is that if this was the plan than why wrongly sell hundreds of these particular handsets in [redacted] and put customers upside down, and to make guarantees that were false. I've spoken to customer care, authorized dealers and got no where. Now when I call customer care my accounts don't exist. So I can't get a phone for the New network unless I pay out of pocket again, or I can get the exact model replacement as I was told, how would that help? So now that I live in [redacted] under the OLD cricket regime; I can barely make calls out, I can't web brows, email, or text, or take incoming calls as efficiently before. I think its only fair to me that I get a phone of the same value that will work in the new network. Too much to ask?Desired Settlement: I would be fine with a replacement but more than likely it will be the exact same model I have now, so I would rather get my money back to buy a phone that will work in the new cricket network. Its only fair that I get a refund to purchase an adequate handset that will not leave my current [redacted] wife without a dependable means of contact.

Re: [redacted]

Revdex.com Complaint ID: [redacted]

Cricket Account No: [redacted]

Dear Sir/Madam,

This correspondence is in reference to a complaint filed by [redacted] regarding Cricket service. In his complaint, Mr. [redacted] states he purchased a phone for his wife in November 2013. He was told that although Cricket was 3G at the time, once their towers were upgraded the phone would work on their 4G network. He states he contacted customer service and was told that his phone cannot be transferred to the new Cricket Wireless because it is not compatible. He was told that once the old Cricket network closes in 2015, the phone will no longer work. He visited a store who told him that there was no trade-in value for his phone and he would need to pay out of pocket in order to activate on the new network. Mr. [redacted] states that he is experiencing problems with his service and cannot make calls, text or use data services. He is requesting a replacement phone or a refund so that he can purchase a phone that will work on the new Cricket network.

We apologize to Mr. [redacted] for any inconvenience or poor service he felt he received. Cricket strives to provide excellent service and we regret when that high standard is not met.

On July 12 2013, it was announced publicly that [redacted] intended to purchase Leap Wireless International (Cricket). The transaction was subject to review by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and the Department of Justice (DOJ) as well as other routine closing conditions. Until the transaction was approved and filings completed on March 13, 2014 we remained competitors with [redacted]. Upon completion of the acquisition, we notified our customers of the upcoming changes and although the financial transaction for our merger is complete, we still have a lot of work to do in order to combine our brands. As a current Cricket customer, there is nothing that Mr. [redacted] needs to do right now. His phone and phone number will continue to work and his monthly rates will remain the same. If he has a 4G LTE capable device, it will continue to work in areas where we have CDMA 4G LTE coverage ([redacted]).

We will be upgrading our CDMA network to a 4G LTE GSM network and expect to stop offering CDMA wireless service as early as March 2015. Mr. [redacted]’s CDMA device and phone plan will remain the same until these changes are completed in 2015. There will be ongoing promotions, incentives and phone trade-in options for Mr. [redacted], if he chooses to activate service on Cricket’s new network.

Regrettably, we are unable to issue a refund to Mr. [redacted] for his phone purchase because his purchase is outside of our 30 day return policy. New devices generally carry a one-year manufacturer's warranty from the date of purchase. Reconditioned wireless devices generally carry a 90-day manufacturer's warranty from the date of purchase. Most warranty claims are fulfilled through Cricket's centralized exchange by mail program and may not be fulfilled through an authorized Cricket retail location. To make a warranty claim, we ask Mr. [redacted] to please contact the Returns Center at [redacted] option * (Warranty Claims) for assistance. The support center will troubleshoot the device malfunction over the phone and provide instructions for the warranty return, if applicable. Please note, Cricket’s Handset Protection Program as well as the manufacturer’s warranty covers replacement for the same device only. In the event that the make/model is out of stock, a replacement device of like features and value will be provided.

We thank Mr. [redacted] for his communication and trust that this explanation properly addresses his complaint.

I received a notice via the US mail from Cricket stating the following: "We appreciate your purchase, but your submission for the Cricket Wireless Rebate was declined for the following reason(s): -Activation date prior to campaign start date"I purchased the particular model phone because the rebate was promoted by their sales agent and representative. This individual provided me the rebate slip. Additionally, I have had service for the required 45 days. Additionally, there was the following statement on the notice that I received: "Questions: Please call ###-###-####. However, when I attempted to contact this number it was all prompts and automated responses with no live representation to answer questions.Desired Settlement: Based on the fact that immediate activation was promoted based on the rebate I expect my rebate of 50.00 or that Cricket allow me to return the phone for a full refund.

Review: I was told, repeatedly, that my [redacted] Galaxy S3 was fully compatible on the AIO/Cricket Network. I was lied to. Firstly, I received the incorrect size of SIM card (received a mini-sim) when the phone only accepts a micro-sim. A new sim card was sent to me, which took several days to receive. Upon activation of the service, it became clear, very quickly, that my phone was in fact not compatible. I spent several hours on the phone with both [redacted] tech support and aio/cricket tech support with no success. The only reason I signed up for service is because I was told, repeatedly , that my phone was fully compatible 4G LTE on the AIO network.Desired Settlement: I only had the wireless service activated for about 2 days. I contacted aio/cricket to get a refund and they told me no. All I want is a refund of my money.

Review: My plan is $50 a month. Per Cricket online I'm supposed to get muve music and have not received it since I got my phone. When I inquired about it with customer serivice Im told to check with my local cricket dealer and they should be able to assist me on that. When doing that I end up being told to call customer service because they're the ones that are able to help me with this situation. I finally got a customer service rep to help me and I was told that I needed to activate new muve music which I did and I still am not able to have access it. Basically I'm paying for a service that isn't being used so I believe I should be compensated for this. I have spoken with cricket customer service as well as cricket dealers and no one seems to be able to help me. As I've written, all I want is to be compensated for the months that I have not had access to the muve music services. Which is from 2010 until recently now 2013.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive a refund for every month that I did not receive cricket muve music service

Yet they happily took my payment for services I never recieved. This is a scam company they gave me a defective phone to beginning with and sent me another defective phone or maybe all their phones do not work just a scheme to get your money and not provide any kind of customer service plus they keep hanging up on me everytime I ask them a question they have no answer too.Desired Settlement: I want a refund for the month of November and to be done with this company.

Review: To whom it may concern; I have requesting a copy of my calls and text(no details) to prove that I was not text/talking on my mobile phone for the date 04/21/2014 due to the fact that I have a traffic ticket on the above date. I first contacted Cricket Wireless in May of 2014 which was the first point of contact at the store at [redacted] Rochester, NY 14605, where I spoke with representative and as well a manager, where they advise me that Cricket Wireless is now taken over by AIO wireless and the process which was to provide me a form then fill it out and notarized it was the normal process but that process doesn't exist anymore, then I ask what is the new process? the manager said she doesn't know of any process and should call the 800# at ###-###-####. After I contacted Cricket at the 800# on the day they sent me back to the store and said such info can't be obtained over the phone and I should go back to the stored, hence I went back to the store at 6[redacted] then again they said I should call back the 800# which I did after which a nice representative assist and told me a supervisor/manager is going to call me back before the day ends which I manager/supervisor did and advise me that they are working on it and it is top prior and they are thankful that I brought it to there attention because such plan was not thought of before as how a consumer will obtain such requested information. Since that time I have make several attempts to contact Cricket Wireless to resolve the issues and I have also been promised call back from manager/supervisor but I haven't got such a call/miss calls. The time for me to appear in person for an hearing I approaching which will be on August 26, 2014 and no resolution have been met.Desired Settlement: At this time I only require that all the information that I requested provided on time, otherwise.
