My phone began having connection problems, other parties could not hear me because of static interference and it started dropping calls about 7/2/18 and kept getting worse. After attempting for 5 days to contact the Customer Service on 611# as phone would drop call, I was final able to reach C.S. on 7/10/2018. After attempting some fixes that failed I was informer that phone was under warranty until 7/17/2018 and that I need to go to Cricket store and have sims card checked and tested and if that failed to return phone by 7/17/2018. On Sunday 7/15/2018 I went to Cricket store and was given a new sims card to try. After that failed I returned 7/17/2018 to do a warranty claim. I was informed that phone needed to be returned by 7/16/2018 and was no longer under warranty. After both myself and the clerk spoke with Cricket the refused to honor their word and stand up for their mistake. If I was given the correct information I could have done the warranty claim on 7/15/2018 or 7/15/2018. this is 100% Crickets fault and cricket should honor their word and replace phone.

Desired Outcome

Other (Requires Explaination) As Cricket gave me the date of 7/17/2018 to return phone for a warranty claim they should honor it. Had Cricket given me the correct dates I could have completed the warranty claim before it expired but as Cricket had declared I need to return no later than 7/17/2018 or the warranty would expire. I have been with Cricket since 2004 and if Cricket cannot honor their word and stand up for their mistake I will need to make a change. Please no phone calls as my phone doesn't not work properly

Cricket offers a $25 Refer a friend incentive. I have given THREE people, whom opened NEW accounts/lines and not a single of the three have been paid. They tell me the code wasn't used when the lines were activated which is A COMPLETE LIE of the three, two were opened in Cricket stores and one was done online.

1 - code issued
2 - code clicked or given to store associate
3 - wait while in service for 60 days
4 - SHOULD GET $25 -

Every time I contact them about it they tell me they see where the code was generated but it was never redeemed which is also COMPLETE LIE I actually did the second one myself, using an email that I sent to my parents!!!

Other (Requires Explaination) I want the refer a friend credits for all 3 - not just some $10 or $15 courtesy credit. I even had a rep tell me there were gliches in their system for this program!!! Yet they fail to honor it! Most recently I had a chat agent assure me the third refer a friend credit was there and I would get it - yet here I sit - This was January!

I purchased a phone plan with a free device on or around March 2017. I made this purchase at Cricket Wireless located at the Eastwood Mall location in Niles Ohio. After I made the purchase my daughter also purchased a phone from the same location. I set up auto pay for my phone bill only and it was authorized for $35.00 a month. Well after having the phone for a month or so my daughter had switched her service over to Boost Mobile. Her service was "ported" over to Boost. She ended up talking me into switching too. It was better service and a better plan, so I cancelled my service through Cricket Wireless and also ported my service and phone number over.
I have currently had Boost service ever since until present day. Within the past month I needed a bank statement for something and so I stopped at the bank for a statement (because I switched to paperless statements, so I never look at them because I know what is coming out of the account and in.) So when I picked up the statement I noticed Cricket Wireless was on the statement. Well then I find out Cricket Wireless has been taking $35.00 a month out of my account since July 2017.
I contacted Cricket and the woman said that I never cancelled the 'Other' phone. Which as previously stated I was the only one who had an automatic bill being paid with my bank account. I never had two phone bills come out of my account. Every month was $35.00. But they are not cooperating at all with looking into giving me any of my money back. This is over $500.
Account_Number: XXX-XXX-XXXX

Desired Outcome

Other (Requires Explaination) I would just like for them to return my money. They never were allowed to take it once I cancelled my order. There had been no activity on those phone lines due to the phone numbers being ported to another phone company.

Dear Sir/Madam,

This correspondence is in response to a complaint filed by ***. In the complaint, Ms. is seeking assistance with the recovery of her payments made via Auto Pay from July 2017 through September 2018. Ms. claims that she ported out the number to Boost Mobile and Cricket Wireless failed to close her account.

Cricket Wireless Escalation Manager, Damaris spoke with Ms. on June 5, 2019 to explain that she did not port out or cancel her line ending in 5979. This number was active on the Cricket's network until September 2018 when it was suspended for non-payment. She understands that she was using a new number with Boost Mobile and never ported her number from Cricket Wireless. Additionally, Cricket Wireless does not have a request to cancel her service. We informed her that without notification from her to discontinue the line, we are unable to cancel a line that is being paid for on a monthly basis.
Ms. request for a refund was denied. We ask that Ms. please see the agreed upon Auto Pay Service Program Terms and Conditions located at: https://www.cricketwireless.com/legal-info/auto-pay-authorization-terms.html.

Additionally, per our Terms & Conditions, service charges are non-refundable and account balances are not transferable, refundable, or redeemable for cash. If an account is suspended or cancelled for any reason, any remaining account balance will be forfeited. Additional information can be found online at www.cricketwireless.com/terms.

We thank Ms. for her communication and trust that this explanation properly addresses her complaint.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The phone number they are referring to was being used on Boost Mobile and was ported out. Myself and my daughter physically walked into the Eastwood Mall location in Niles Ohio the day we went to boost to cancel it out and switch the other line over to Boost Mobile. Both lines were cancelled out and they continued to take payment. Further more, when I realized they were still taking my money and contacted the manager on customer service they said it was not cancelled like they are saying now when I explained that I went there they were supposed to look into the refund and they were to turn off the payments but STILL KEPT TAKING my money out of my account again. I had to close my account because they continued taking it still. I do not accept this response it was personally cancelled more than once and they continued taking my money.

Dear Sir/Madam,

This correspondence is in response to a rebuttal to a complaint filed by ***. In the rebuttal, Ms. repeats her claim that she ported out the number to Boost Mobile and Cricket Wireless failed to close her account. This led to her making payments via Auto Pay from July 2017 through September 2018. Ms. wants all payments refunded.

Cricket Wireless Escalation Manager, Damaris spoke with Ms. on June 5, 2019 to explain that she did not port out or cancel her line ending in 5979. Ms. has failed to add any additional information and therefore Ms. request for a refund continues to be denied. (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I do not understand why the incompetence of one of the employees working at that cricket location makes it okay to continue to take someone's money. My daughter and I ported both phones over to boost and was on a family plan which we still are present day. The only reason they did that is because that number was on auto pay so they are trying to say we ported omw and not the other but that is not true. My daughter was first to port over and find the family plan and that is why I then ported my XXXXXXXXXX number over as well but now because I did not see that they were taking my money until I needed a print out for ssi and questioned it were they trying to say I cancelled one and not the other. Why would I pay for my daughters line through you when she is paying it every month through boost. I spoke with several managers over the phone who said repeatedly they would get the issue resolved and never did. That is why I had to contact Revdex.com. I'm not going to just accept something that is wrong. I'm sorry that one of your employees did their job incorrectly but that does not make it okay for you to keep talking my money when it was cancelled more than once in person and via phone. This is not okay at all something needs done. This is not right for them to continue to take someone's money who is on disability because you knew they did not catch it I need my money back I never once in all the time used any of your services if you pull up your records there is not one second of talk or text and not no data used in the whole time since it was cancelled because it was cancelled. Please show where I used your services after I cancelled. You can't. Please make this right

My cell phone service provider Cricket Wireless, allowed me to set up a 'Bridge Pay? on August 12th, 2018. A bridge pay allows a customer to make a partial payment (usually a little less than half the full payment), then pay the rest or balance six days later.

I paid $50.00 from my cell phone through the Cricket Automated pay system by dialing '611'? , on or about August 11th, 2018. I received notification that I would have to pay the balance of $60.00 which includes a $10.00 bridge pay charge, before 11:59pm (CST) on Saturday, August 18th, 2018.

If the balance was not paid in full before 11:59pm (CST) on August 18th, 2018, my service would be suspended and the entire balance of $110.00 would be due to restore my cell phone service.

I attempted to pay my cell phone bill seven (7) times on Saturday evening August 18th, 2018 before the 11:59 pm deadline. I tried dialing '611', the Cricket Customer Care Automated Payment line? five times.

I called at 11:19pm, 11:26 pm, 11:27 pm, and 11:35 pm. each time I received a recording stating, ? Thanks for calling Cricket, we are currently updating our systems, and we will be unavailable at 10:00 am Eastern? (Referring to Sunday morning August 19th, this obviously will cause the payment to be late)

I attempted to make my payment on the Cricket Website ( at cricketwireless.com) , two (2) times, when's at 11:23 pm and once at 11:24 pm. However, I received a message reading:
? Be back soon!'
? Our team is making an update for the next couple of hours'

I called Cricket Wireless on Sunday morning August 19th 2018 and a recording stated that their Offices were closed and reopen on Monday morning August 20th, 2018.

Cricket Wireless has since suspended my cell phone service.

I called Cricket Wireless on Monday morning August 20th, 2018 and explain the situation to the first representative I spoke with. The representative informed me that she checked with her sources and she was told the charge of $110.00 is a valid charge.

I told the representative that I have been a customer for a long time and I have never had a problem making payments. I informed the representative that I would only paid the $60.00 balance and nothing more because the Cricket system was down on Saturday evening August 18th.

A short time later, the representative stated that Cricket would give me a discount of $20.00 off my bill leaving the balance at $90.00 due. I again told the representative I would only pay the $60.00 balance.
I then asked for another representative. After explaining the situation to the second representative, she informed me that Cricket would give me a 1 time courtesy by giving me a $30.00 discount off my bill, and I would only have to pay $80.00

I informed the representative that I would not pay anything other than the $60.00 because Cricket's system being down on Saturday Evening was no fault of mine.

The Representative stated that she could not do that.

I contacted my Attorney and my Attorney sent Cricket Wireless a letter on or about August 23rd, 2018.

A Cricket Wireless Representative contacted me on Monday evening October 22nd, 2018, nearly two months later and informed me that Cricket's Incident Management team looked into my claim and determined that their system was not down as I had claimed.

To make matters worse, the representative said 'why didn't you just pay the extra bill, and then make the claim afterwards'?

I told the representative that I shouldn't not have had to pay a bill with extra charges attached that was no fault of my own.

The representative then stated that there was nothing they could do and that all four lines had been canceled.

I am prepared to provide evidence that Cricket Wireless? system was down on both the automated phone payment systems and their website on the evening of Saturday, August 18, 2018.

Consequently the canceling of all four of my families telephone lines was totally unjustified. My small business phone number was one of the telephone lines that was canceled.

I had been a paying Cricket Wireless customer for several years. My explanation to Cricket and my not being at fault was totally ignored as they never asked for proof from me that their system was indeed down.
Product_Or_Service: LG //
Account_Number: XXX-XXX-XXXX

Desired Outcome

Other (Requires Explaination) I am requesting that all four lines be restored and that I am only charged the $50.00 that was due. Additionally any restitution that would be allowed under the law due to the stress this has caused my family and I.

This correspondence is in response to a complaint filed by ***. In this complaint, Mr. stated that Cricket Wireless allowed him to set up a Bridge Payment to extend his payment for 7 days. He states he attempted to make the payment before the end of the allotted timeframe but was unable to, due to errors with Cricket Wireless' systems. He is asking to have his service restored by paying only the remaining balance of the original Bridge Payment.

Mr. has reach out to us through various agency complaints and his issue has been resolved. Please see resolution below.

Mr. complaint was first addressed by Cricket manager Chiquitta. Chiquitta created a new account for Mr. and allowed him to process the payment originally owed of $60 to restore his service and sent complimentary SIM cards in order to activate his service. Cricket manager, Damaris spoke with Mr. and provided one month of account credit as a courtesy

I had a monthly pre-paid service with Cricket mobile. I went to up-grade my wife's phone. I was told by the salesperson, the store does not carry the phone I wanted, but I could purchase the phone from the Internet website.

On 02/22/2018, I went to the Cricket Internet website, ordered the phone paying $628.34 with my Bank Card. I received a conformation number for the order.

Then the next day, I received a notification from Cricket, that the order was canceled. I notified Cricket to ask what the problem was since I received a conformation number. I was told they did not know way the order was canceled and I would have to re-order the phone if I wanted it. I asked if they could do it over the phone and I was told no.

On 02/23/2018, I placed the second order for the phone paying $628.34, using my Bank Card and again I received a conformation number.

This time I called my Bank to see why the 1st order was canceled. The Bank told me there were no cancellations and that they were in the process of processing both orders.

I then called Cricket and explained what the Bank informed me of. Cricket's attitude was that it would take between 7-10 Business Days for Cricket to reimburse me. I stated that, that resolution was not acceptable and the 1st order needs to be canceled and no extra $628.43 taken from my account.Again, the Cricket Agent said, there was nothing could be done and it would take 7-10 Business Days.
The phone conversation was ended. It should be noted that Cricket did cancel the 1st order that day, however, never notified that my issue was resolved.

On 02/27/2018, due to Cricket's Business practice and attitude towards customers in resolving problems, I canceled my monthly pre-paid service. It should be noted that Cricket deducted $151.00 from my account for the pre-paid monthly service fee and has refused to reimburse me since I did not have an active account for the month of March.

Then Cricket refused to unlock the phone that I was trying to up-grade, that was purchased on 12/25/2017, saying it would be 6 months befor they would unlock it.

On 07/07/2018, I went to the Cricket Store to have the phone unlocked, and was told they would not unlock the phone because their policy states the phone has to be in use for 6 consecutive months. I stated that I did not a have contract with them and the phone was purchased through Cricket. The salesperson's indifferent attitude stated, "that was to bad and there was nothing that could be done".
Product_Or_Service: LG //
Account_Number: XXX-XXX-XXXX

Desired Outcome

Other (Requires Explaination) For Cricket to reimburse me the money owing for the monthly prepaid service that was canceled. And to have Cricket unlock the phone I purchased from them in December of 2017 and have been unable to use. This practice is extortion (forcing a customer to remain with Cricket Service) and allowing Cricket to cheat customers out of their purchase price of the phone if the customer is dissatisfied with Cricket's Service.

Wanted to add a 6th line. Asked rep in store if better to add to existing or create new account. She said she added a 6th, didn't get a discount but bill was $140/mo which is exactly what my math figured I would be at. First bill comes in and bill is $170. Customer svc said I changed my plan and the plan I had doesn't exist anymore. Explained to them what happened and that store rep to me what to do. They said they cant help since plan I was on has been removed. Spoke to people in store and they just keep saying need to take new plan which takes bill up. Yesterday at 3:06pm I purchased transferred 2 lines and added another, purchasing 2 phones. Today at 2:21pm I returned them because I was Lied to, received horrible service, and was NEVER told about the refund policy. I searched for it online and also found it on my receipt. During the purchasing process I was told by the store manager that insurance was included in the $90/month price. When I questioned it because I was shocked, he nodded his head yes. After the transaction was complete the girl who did it said it was included in the "today quote price." Not the monthly price as I was previously told. Then I was told it would take a couple of hours for my phone to reach more than 1 bar of service. At 9am this morning I still had 1 bar even outside of my house and my calls were static. When I returned them I was told a block house can mess with reception. Again that is a FALSE statement because I've always had great service inside and I do right now as well. 4 hours after switching to another provider. They also tried to tell me that it could take several days for it to "jump towers." Another FALSE statement as I have had full service no problems less than an hour after my switch today. My transaction was done on the right side of their counter. Their "return policy" is on the left, I have pictures. I decided to buy 3 screen protectors for the phone under the assumption this was a good change based on what I was told before the transaction. One of the protectors was not put on correctly and when returned I was lied to again that it had something to do with the type of screen. The other 2 didn't have a problem, nor have any of the other 10 phones I've had them on. After she put it on she said it would take a little bit for it to dry. The wet spot is the same spot I was told today was due to the screen. Some more bs. They refunded me the price of the 2 phones I paid for and that's it. I spent $389.18 yesterday and less than 24 hours later only received $149.78 and that's all I was getting.
Account_Number: XXX-XXX-XXXX

Desired Outcome

Other (Requires Explaination) I would like my ENTIRE refund as I was lied to, had horrible service, and had it for less than 24 hours.

Someone has resolved this matter.

In August 2018, I contacted Cricket to request an extension to have some additional time to pay my cell phone bill. I spoke to their representative who recommended a bridge payment plan option that would give me a seven day extension. That involved making a partial payment of $50.00 on that day while speaking with him and subsequently making an additional payment of $70.00 to complete the $110 monthly payment, plus their $10.00 fee for the bridge payment. I agreed to make the $50.00 payment and as instructed by the Cricket representative, I was to make an additional payment of $70.00 by September 1, 2018.

When I attempted to make the additional payment of $70.00 on September 1, 2018, by using my cell phone I learned my service had been terminated. I utilized a desktop to log in to my account and made the payment on that date, which was a Saturday. I subsequently followed up with Cricket to learn why my service had been interrupted. They informed me that because they pushed a text message to my cell phone as a reminder to make a payment on August 31, 2018, and I had not paid, they terminated the service. I informed them that I was instructed to make the payment not later than September 1st.

Because the Cricket Customer Service recorded message states their calls are recorded, I requested that the Customer Service representative locate that recording to ensure they were not mistaken because I was told to pay the balance on September 1st. They did not do so. My service was terminated and when I spoke with Customer Service I was instructed to make an additional payment of the entire next month's service bill in advance, which would have amounted to $110.00. I protested and the representative compromised on an additional payment of $45.00 to be applied to the next month's bill. I made that payment at a local Cricket outlet while the representative was on the phone with me.

I called numerous times, asked for a supervisor and to hear the recording of the call for payment on 8/30/18.

In August 2018, I asked Cricket about a partial payment plan to pay half on due date and half at a later date. I was introduced to their Bridge payment plan which would allow me to split the payment. I was instructed to make a payment on the day I phoned them and pay the remaining balance by September 1, 2018. When I paid the $50.00 payment the day of the Bridge pay request, I paid the $70.00 payment they instructed me to pay on September 1, 2018. On September 1st, I paid the remaining balance but Cricket terminated my service. I went to a local Cricket outlet only to learn there was nothing they could do to help. I was instructed to call Customer Service where I was harassed about making a payment late; they said Cricket informed me to pay the remaining balance on August 31, 2018. I repeatedly told them that I was instructed to pay by September 1st to no avail. They continued to insist I was informed to pay on August 31st. When I repeatedly asked them if they heard the conversation, they refused to answer. The recorded message while on hold indicates Cricket's calls are recorded for customer service purposes. I asked a supervisor but no one ever offered evidence of the recorded call. Despite paying the $120.00 for my regularly scheduled $110.00 monthly payment, I was forced to pay another $70.00 to have the service reinstated. Initially, they insisted that I pay a one month advance payment of $110.00, which I informed them would not be possible. I had to argue with them that this was highway robbery and if I had that kind of money I would never have needed the Bridge payment plan in the first place. They agreed to allow me to pay the $70.00 and the following month I was forced to pay my monthly payment of $110.00 Instead of a Bridge payment charging me $10.00 additional dollars I was forced to pay $70.00 which was never credited to any future payment of my account.

Account_Number: XXX-XXX-XXXX

Desired Outcome

Other (Requires Explaination) I want my $45.00 refunded or applied to my account because I paid in good faith and I expect Cricket to act in the same good faith. No one should pay for services they do not receive and businesses should not charge customers for the same. Cricket currently has my money and I have nothing to show for it but a debit from my bank account. No business should be allowed to bait and switch and deceive its customers as Cricket has done in this instance. I paid Cricket an additional $70.00 which they pocketed and did not apply to my cell phone bill account. I was later told that $70.00 was liquidated damages. Each time I contacted customer service I was speaking with people in the Philippines and there was a cultural gap which did not allow us to reach any agreement. I paid as I was instructed, they played bait and switch.

This correspondence is in response to a complaint filed by Ms. ***. In this complaint, Ms. Newsome states that she paid for her services and then called and spoke to customer service and the rep told her the payment was not received. Ms. Newsome is requesting a credit for the over payment.

After reviewing the account, it does show that Ms. paid 2 times for the account. Therefore, we did issue a credit to the account per Ms. Newsome's request.

We value feedback and apologize for any inconvenience. We thank for his communication and trust that this explanation properly addresses his concern.

You have indicated the case was closed due to insufficient information for you to process. Can you please let me know what additional information is needed? The account number is XXXXXXXXX. There are four lines associated with this account, but there was only one line that is associated with the additional payment, which was never credited to my account and which I was told was liquidated not applied to my account, nor refunded as a credit. I included two phone numbers associated with this account in my complaint.

Please let me know how much more additional information you need.

Thank you.

I purchase a cell phone on Crickets online website, I have been a customer for many years. Received the phone 05/22/2018 actived it and all on 05/22/2018 with Cricket rep online. The next few days the phone was not working right. I went to the Cricket store in Gastonia NC, they tried working on the phone but it got worst. I then contact Cricket by phone, they tried they could not fix it-Cricket rep told me to contact Samsung. I contact Samsung rep they remote in by an APP and tried to fix it and could not. Samsung rep told me the phone was DEFECTED to contact Cricket for a replacement, I called them and spoke with Cricket Warranty, they have a a RA # to send back. NEVER once was I told that I would be recieving a REFURB phone in its place. You can call and request the call me pulled, I have the reps name and ID # that I spoke with on June 1, 2018 at Cricket. I took it to the UPS store on June 1, 2018 and returned as instructed. I received yesterday by UPS, June 06, 2018 a package with a REFURB phone in it and with parts in baggies dated 03/2017. I paid for a NEW phone, that I only had a week that was DEFECTED. I was on the phone with cricket for over 2 hours yesterday June 06, 2018 and could not get this resolved. Cricket owes me a NEW phone. This is FRAUD!

This has already been resolved

In Oct. 2018, I purchased a cell phone from Cricket store number seven.zero.two.zero.four.zero.one.five.eight, in Ewing, NJ. The phone was defective and I went back to the store on 10/19/18, just a few days after the purchase, to request to have my former phone model back and negotiated a swap with the manager of the store. At that time, he also suggested I purchase additional memory, so I purchased a 32GB SD card (a $40 item). There was no paperwork generated for the phone transaction. (At that time, I was not aware they were selling me with a 'demo/display? phone, not a new device.)

On Dec 29, approx. 11:30am, I went to the Ewing store because my phone would not function due to memory issues again. When I arrived to the Ewing store, the associate (Jalissa T.'), was sitting at the front of the store, music blaring. I showed her my phone and she just kept telling me, 'there's nothing I can do, you have too much on your phone.? I hardly have anything on my phone and told her I needed to know how to clean up the cookies, junk files, etc. She said, again, there was nothing she could do. She said I needed more memory. When I began asking her questions, she just stared at me. I left the store and still could not use my phone. There was no manager present.

I returned about an hour later to attempt, again, get some help and Jalissa was still there alone, with a visitor. She was very impatient and texting during our conversation. She would not give me names of any supervisors and she was not wearing any badge or name tag. In order for my phone to operate properly again, I had no choice but to purchase a 64GB SD card. She installed it into the phone and did NOT use the external method of transfer of information from one device to the other. This is the recommended way Cricket wants their retailers to do that transfer. This is the way my information has always been transferred at Cricket. She then told me to wait 2 hours for it to update! I went back to running errands.

I returned to the store 3 hours later, now my THIRD trip to the store, still unable to use my phone. She had other customers in the store and there was now an additional associate there with her. The second associate's name is Javier and it was his first day at that store. When I showed her the card STILL had not uploaded, she became visibly annoyed and in a very unprofessional manner said 'I told you, you have too much on my phone'. Javier took me aside and showed me how to clean up my phone. I DID NOT actually need to purchase additional memory. When I confronted Jalissa about it, she started cursing ('Oh my God, I'm f*g going home!? Javier had to calm her down. She went into the back room and was laughing and cursing and speaking to someone, either on the phone or in person, I couldn't tell. Javier showed me how to clean the junk files and I left the store.

However, I discovered my telephone texting feature now was not working; it kept shutting down. I called Cricket Customer Care three times for help and they could not trouble shoot the issue. I then call the store on Sunday, hoping to get a manager, but no one answered the phone. They typically never answer the phone.

Monday, 1.31.19, I called the store and Javier answered and said he could help me and to stop by the store. When I arrived, he had elevated it to the highest tech support and was already communicating the issue to them. During the process of trying to fix the texting issue, we were told my phone was a 'demo/display? model. The manager never disclosed that to me at the time of purchase in October, nor was there paperwork produced at that time that disclosed that information. Tech Support told us they are NOT supposed to sell the demos. The phone was irreparable so, I had to purchase another phone. Javier called a manager to get permission to replace my phone, but she would not allow it. She said that it was incumbent upon me to know that it was a demo and they would not give me another phone to replace it. The demo I unknowingly purchased in Oct was sold it to me with the packaging, etc., but a customer would not know anything about what to look for to detect they are not buying a new device. There are ID's on the back of the phone that identify it to Tech Support as a demo. So, in the end, I was sold a demo without knowing it, sold extra memory I did not need and then had to buy another phone in order to function.

Account_Number: XXX-XXX-XXXX

Desired Outcome

Other (Requires Explaination) After all this aggravation and deception, the least they could do is refund the cost of the extra memory unnecessarily purchased. $60 that I did not have to spend that day. I also think Cricket should be aware of the business paradigm of that store. Poor representation of Cricket and other customers in the store were defending my position, several warned me about getting scammed there.

Our first attempt to resolve the complaint was unsuccessful due to us initially not being able to get in contact with Ms.. However, we were able to reach out to the local Authorized Retailer where Ms. purchased her first device from. They set up an appointment with Ms. to visit the store for a refund. Some of their representative gave misleading instructions and caused me to be charged for extra money and wasted lots of time. I used to have 5 lines using 5GB plan for $100 per month under their old promotion. I paid $100 for 5 line on May 21 (which covers May 22-June 21).

On June 1, 2 lines were removed and a new friend requested to add to our account so that we would have 4 lines. Cricket does not offer the old promotion and has a new promotion, i.e, 4 lines with unlimited plan for $100, so I though we would be better off with this new promotion. I called their customer service about how to make these changes (add a new line and get the promotion). The representative asked to upgrade the 3 lines and then order the sim card for the new line. I followed his instruction. However, I was charged $45 for upgrading the 3 lines. I didn't expect this fee and was told that I need to wait to activate the new line and then downgrade all lines to get back the $45 credit. I also paid $55 while ordering the new sim card online.

On June 5, my friend received the new sim card and I called to activate this new line. Immediately after activating the line, I was charged $55. I called their customer service and downgraded all lines to 5GB plan (as they advised previously) and received $40.5 credit back.

Then I called again and reached one of their supervisors. She was helpful and helped me figured out the charges: $27.50 for the new line for the remaining 16 days, $19.83 for upgrading the 3 lines.

However, I'm not satisfied with this result. I have spent about 5 hours on this issue, which should have been a simple one. I have been so cautious that I called their customer service every time before making any changes. Some of the representatives gave me wrong instructions and explanations and led me to pay more and wasted so much time. Why should I pay for their mistakes'!
Account_Number: XXX-XXX-XXXX

Desired Outcome

Other (Requires Explaination) I want a $55 refund and to be properly compensated for the wasted time and headaches.

In Mid-September, 2019 I started to experience serious problems receiving and making any calls on all three of my phone lines from my home. This problem occurred inside or outside of my home. I never received any signal bars on any of my phones. I called Cricket and informed them of the problem and opened a work order. They said they would look into it. I called back every two weeks to check on the status. I was told that the cell tower is down and it will be repaired in a week. they told me the same lie every time I called. Finally in December after not having ANY service for three months I talked with a floor manager and he told me that the tower is still down and the area is in the red (That did not sound good). I told him to take me off the auto pay plan since I am not getting the service they promised me I should be getting. He told me that if I did not pay $90 a month then my service would be terminated. I could make and receive calls if I drove more than 10 miles from my house (I would be on an active working cell tower) and I also did not want to lose the three numbers I had. He left me no choice but to pay for nothing. I have contacted Cricket nine additional times to date and talked with many people who all lied to me with the same lies (tower will be fixed in a week). I escalated this problem 4 times with no result. On 2/27/19 my phone rang when I was at home for the first time in 5 1/2 months. It appeared fixed. I called Cricket and asked Ernesto Mejia to speak with a floor manager to discuss a refund. He refused to transfer me and to give me his employee id. but he offered me $25 credit for the inconvenience. Every time I called in and talked to either a supervisor or floor manager I was told that I must continue to pay $90 a month and they will give me a credit once it is fixed. They said they can only give me a one time credit. TO ME SERVICE IS ONLY WHEN I CAN RECEIVE AND MAKE CALLS FROM HOME AND NOT HAVE TO DRIVE 10 MILES TO STARBUCKS TO USE MY PHONE.

This correspondence is in response to a complaint filed by ***. Mr. states that he experienced service issue at his home and would like five months of service credit.

Mr. filed a complaint and rebuttal with the FCC as well as this complaint with the Revdex.com. Upon receiving each of Mr. complaints, we thoroughly reviewed his account. We found no coverage issues and found consistent usage of his service during the time frame mentioned.

Per our terms and conditions (www.cricketwireless.com/terms): "Services may be interrupted, delayed, or otherwise limited for a variety of reasons, including environmental conditions, unavailability of radio frequency channels, system capacity and constraints, priority access by National Security and Emergency Preparedness personnel in the event of a disaster or emergency, coordination with other systems, equipment modifications and repairs, and problems with the facilities of interconnecting carriers. We do not guarantee the availability of the wireless network or any Wireless Services. You must be in the Cricket coverage area to place or receive calls." Additionally, coverage may be "affected by terrain, weather, foliage, buildings, signal strength, high-usage periods, customer equipment and other factors."

On March 7th, 2019, we contacted Mr. via telephone to ensure that his service was working properly. He confirmed that his Cricket service is working and stated that he could successfully text and call. We subsequently offered Mr. a month of service credit, which he declined. We also contacted Mr. on April 25th, 2019 to ensure his services were working properly. He again confirmed that his service was working. We again offered a credit for a month of service, which he again declined. As a result of this complaint, we spoke with Mr. on June 4th, 2019. Mr. confirmed that his service is working. We made a final offer of a month of service, however Mr., again, declined our offer.

My outage due to cell tower problems was from September 2018 until the end of February 2019. The times they contacted me I had service but that was not within the timeframe that I am talking about it was months after. They need to look into my history file. As I stated it was escalated by four different floor managers because there was a problem. They would not have escalated it if there was no problem with the cell towers

On 7/12/18, we attempted to upgrade a ZTE phone on our plan to a newer iPhone. Note, our
ZTE is in perfect working order. The iPhone was found to be defective before we left the store but after the SIM card was used. This took over 2 hours as we were told that the iPhone needed to charge. The clerk eventually refunded our money for the phone but refused to refund the activation of $25 plus tax. We left the store with our original phone. We were told that the phone we came in with was not working but would eventually; it just needed time to adjust and update.

After calling 611, I spoke with a Cricket representative who refunded the $25 but not the tax. This took another 1/2 hour of my time.

By 6PM, the original ZTE phone was still not working and we returned to the store. The clerk did admit to his error and fixed the phone. I explained to him that I also wanted the $2.18 that was charged for tax. He told me that he would not refund the money because we received a new SIM card to get our original phone to work. I do not accept this. We came in with a working phone and expected to leave with one. We did not receive a new phone or upgrade and therefore should be eligible for a full refund, tax included. I also asked to speak with the manager/owner of the store which the clerk called but refused to let me talk to. This trip took another hour of my day. The store is refusing our tax money back.

Just a further side note, this is the authorized dealer on Transit Rd. in Depew, NY. This is the first time I have written a formal complaint, but not the first time I have had issues with a clerk and the owner. The owner refuses to speak with customers who have issues and/or questions. Terrible customer service and staff that is not well trained.

Desired Outcome

Other (Requires Explaination) I expect at least my $2.18 back. I understand this a minimal amount, however, I feel that the time invested in resolving this error on Cricket's part well justifies this.

Suppose to have unlimited everything plus the additional weathering. Doesn't work 90% of the time. Called and called, said ZTE phone wasn't great needs updated phone, went and wasted another $192 to get Motorola phone, still getting in and out service, mostly out, dropped calls or can hear them they can't hear me. Have tried to explain to them I'm disabled, fall a lot, need working phone in case I have to call 911 plus would be nice to talk with my kids.
Keep getting excuse after excuse that they are working on tower, doing maintenance to tower, tower down not our fault, it will he better in the morning, it will be fixed by July 4.
Everything worked fine for about the first month then just went to ***.
So I basically have no phone most of the time, text are iffy, data/internet is just horrible and doesn't work so can't communicate with my children. But yet they still are happy to bille every month even after their customer service has been notified numerous times over the past 3 months or so.
And was told today that I could drop them and go spend more money to go buy another phone and go with another service. Asked if they were willing to purchase all my phone's back and refund me for the 2 activation fees that they charged me to upgrade to Motorola phone and refund me for the time I have wasted on their horrible service. The employee laughed and said no they can't do that.

Desired Outcome

Other (Requires Explaination) I would really like a working phone and services that I am paying for, if they are unable to provide the service they have promised me, then I would request a refund for all money wasted on phones, activation fees, and at least partial for lack of the service for past 3/4 months that I have begged them for. I hate to phone shop again and go through all the stuff and time that entails of switching to another company so I really hope that they can provide the services that I am being paid for

Long story short; I went to switch to Cricket. Talked to the Rep and she helped me pick out 3 phones, she put SIMS cards in (with my help, as her nails were too long to do it herself) and put them in the boxes, I picked out 3 items for $39 and wrote a check for $259! (which were 2 cases and a car charger). So, nothing was transferred from my old phone to new phone. Got home and tried to do it myself. Well, after how many days of calling them and them telling me to put an SD card in (I put one in, but unbeknownst to me took out the sims card), so phone didn't work for 1.5 days. I finally decided to go back and have them transfer everything. Now, I find out the phone that she sold me had half the gigs of my old phone. Well, no wonder not everything would transfer. Hmmmm.....if she would have done her job and transferred everything the 1st day, she would have known that! So, I spent 2.5 hours on Thursday with Rep trying to get everything to transfer, which was NOT going to happen. Then, I spent 5 hours on Friday and after talking on the phone for 1 hour with customer service, decided to switch phones so that I could have one that was same gig as old one and add an sd card...brilliant! Nope - was told it couldn't happen because they have a 7 day return policy, which I was not aware of and not told about! Eventually, after giving her my old phone I paid $70 for and getting credit of $35 and turning in my "old" phone (Samsung 7 Edge), I paid $110 for other phone and can't exchange my phone charger for one that would fit my phone! I am so disgusted with this Cricket store, I can't tell you! I had been more than patient and if I had been told the truth from the get go, it could have been fixed the 1st night!!

Desired Outcome

Other (Requires Explaination) I would like to be able to return (still in package and unopened) my car charger for a charger I can use with my phone, which was my intention to begin with. Also, I would like to be credited the $110 I had to pay for the phone that eventually worked! And, return my "old" Samsung (from U.S. Cellular) to be my router for my hot spot at home. I am 51 years old and never have I been so disrespected in my life. Unhappy...... I would also like an apology from "Brook" the Manager of store.

Cricket Wireless Response • Jun 06, 2019

This correspondence is in response to a complaint filed by ***. Ms. filed a complaint after being denied the option to return a car charger that she did not use.

Our records indicate that this complaint was resolved via complaint #XXXXXXXX. The resolution is provided below.

After contacting Ms., we explained that there is a 7-day return policy effective the day of purchase. Products that are not sourced through Cricket will be go by the return/exchange policy of that particular Authorized Retailer. Ms., unknowingly, had missed the 7-day return policy. She was also not able to return the unusable car charger, due to store policy. For these reasons, we have provided a credit to Ms. account. Due to the lack of communication regarding policy, we have forwarded this information to local management to have them further investigate the store transactions and provide additional training where needed. Ms. has my direct number, should she have any additional questions.

I was repeatedly lied to by agents in the call-in customer service department. This was regarding a cancellation of an online order. I believe the company intentionally misled me in an attempt to avoid issuing the refund I was due.

I ordered a SIM card and one month of service on June 13th, paid by credit. 5 minutes later I realized I used the wrong shipping address, so I called to change it. I was told it was not possible to change the address, but I could cancel the order. Agent #1 promised to call back in 2 hours to confirm the cancellation and full refund (though the refund would take 7 days to process). 2 hours later no call, so I called agent #2, who said the order was still processing and could not be cancelled for 1 more hour. In 1 hour I called agent #3, who said he handled the cancellation and I would receive an email confirmation in about an hour - also that the charge would not even post to my card. No email, so I called agent #4, who promised the same thing. No email, instead, I received a notification that the SIM card was shipped. So next day I called agent #5, who said that now it was not possible to cancel the order, so I should wait until it arrived, reject the package, and that Cricket would issue the full refund. (Meanwhile the charge posted to my card.) I rejected the package and it was returned to Cricket on June 20th. I called the next day and agent #6 could not find that the package was received, then hung up on me. Called agent #7 who confirmed the package was received and the refund would be processed by June 25th. No refund, so I called agent #8 who said it was still processing as the timeline was 7-10 business days. Got bronchitis and couldn't call back until July 6th - agent #9 promised she was handling it and would call me back in 1 hour. No call, called agent #10 who said a full refund wasn't possible, only the service charge. Spoke to a supervisor who said they actually had no way to issue refunds, and my only option was to dispute the charge!

Other (Requires Explaination) Please explain how it was possible for so many agents to give different and inaccurate answers, fail to follow up as promised, and simply lie to me to get me off the phone and avoid issuing a refund. I spent hours on the phone in total over this issue, and it's still not resolved - my credit card company's legal department now has to get involved. That's ridiculous. I imagine most people give up and Cricket keeps their money? Run an honest business and issue me a proper apology for this mess!

Cricket is accusing me of using the phone as a mobile hotspot. Which they had then suspended my line and told me I had to purchase a new phone and add hotspot to my new phone. The reason I'm filing this complaint is because I'm not using that phone as a mobile hotspot. They are in the wrong by turning/suspending the line. They won't turn the phone back on because they claim it's being used as a hotspot but it's not being used like that.
