I had windows and door installed by Install America and would highly recommend this companyThe sales person was very knowledgeable and very patient in explaining and demonstrating the products They arrived on time, did a very efficient job and a thorough cleanup

September 26, 2016Dear [redacted] ***.We are in receipt of your letter regarding our customer [redacted] *** [redacted] contracted with us on 4/24/for a new roof installation, His project was started and completed on 7/5/ [redacted] did call our office, post installation, to inform us that he had gotten water into his basementDuring the initial installation, we had to remove his existing gutter protection to install our roof and then reinstall his gutter protectionHe claimed it was not reinstalled properly, and that was why he had water in his basementOur installation crew was at his property days after receiving his phone call) to report the issueThey did some minor service work to ensure proper installation of the gutter protection, At this time, our installation crew asked to see the damage in the basement, He did not allow them to view the basement, but said he had gotten everything cleaned up already, [redacted] had called into our office then looking for monetary compensation for his alleged leakHe claimed there was three feet of water in his basementThree feet of water is not close to being possible given the amount of time that had passed and the amount of rainfall at that time, Also, during every phone call (including the last one approximately one week ago) he made to our office we offered to come to his property to inspect any damageEvery time he declined that optionWe stand behind what we do on every single installation, if this leak actually occurred, and it was inflicted because of Install America, then we would certainly compensate any customer for any damage doneHowever, we have never been permitted on the property to review such "damage", Our offer will continue to stand to [redacted] and he is welcomed to contact us to make such arrangementsRegards,Mike B

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the responseIf no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved] Complaint: [redacted] I am more so questioning this response rather than rejecting it because I still do not understand why I am paying $1,for something this company brokeI would like Install America to explain and provide a written quote for what exactly the $is covering and who the certified electrician will be coming to my home on Wednesday, as I was not given that informationI was told over the phone that the $had something to do with my electrical service not being up to codeThe electric line in question has been in place for over years at this home, so if it had not been broken all would have been fineI feel frustrated with this and am a year old man, I have a difficult time hearing on the telephone and sometimes forget to ask questionsIt would be easier for me to have things in writingI am thankful that they will be out on Wednesday to correct their mistake but am worried as to why I am paying for thisI paid through my homeowners for the roof repair, which is what I signed a contract forI will not sign a completion certificate on Wednesday until I receive the information I requested and am comfortable with the answerAfter the phone call I received, I tried calling back to ask further questions but still can never reach anyone on their telephone numbers Regards, [redacted]

August 21, 2015Dear [redacted] :Thank you for the opportunity to respond to the aforementioned complaintI have reviewed the complaint and the following is my response:The project installation was completed on March 19, 2013, There were some manufacturing defects related to the window installation, Services were rendered for all issues the ***'s had related to windows, All service calls are answered within a twenty-four (24) hour period.The records show Install America responded to service issues on 05/27/15; 06/04/15; 06/22/15; and 07/17/The last glass package that was to be replaced was slightly "off" in sizeThat glass package was reordered and scheduled for installation on 08/27/16, Service calls are not placed to homeowners until the parts have arrived on site, as soon as the manufacturer parts have arrived the services are scheduled on a timely basis.Install America services 100% of their homeowners and aspires for 100% customer satisfaction, install America wishes to apologize for any inconvenience ** [redacted] has experienced and pledges to provide quality service with any outstanding issue: in the future.Please feel free to contact us with any additional comments or questions, Thank you again for this opportunity,Respectfully,Susan WSafety/Compliance Officer

June 13, 2016Dear [redacted] ***: [redacted] set up an appointment on 5/26/at 7:PM to have a representative from Install America provide an estimate on a roofing project The representative initially measured the dimensions of the existing roof as well as examined the current condition of the existing roof, following the exterior analysis; the representative then went inside and discussed roofing options and solutions for their particular scenarioThe representative! provided all the information so the homeowners could be informed and educated concerning the roofing project, ( i.eroofing stylus, colors, and industry standards), After the homeowner's selection on the roofing system, the representative calculated a price that would be good tor one yearUpon further discussion the representatives calculated a second discounted price, if the homeowners participated in our neighborhood marketing program.The length of the appointment is directly related to the amount of questions the homeowners had The high pressure negotiation is misunderstood for enthusiasm and motivation.Install America prides itself with the must professional and highly trained product specialists in the industry, All representatives are polite, courteous and knowledgeable in their respective fieldsInstall America performs a quality assurance call to all scheduled appointment to ensure our potential customers received all the information on their next home Improvement project.Install America has removed the homeowner's telephone number from the data base, If there are any additional questions or comments, please feel free to contact Install America.Respectfully,Nick C.General Manager

***, I have attached the evaluation from a HAAG certified contractor that was sent to our current vinyl siding distributor Install America plans on conducting a service for the siding when the weather is warmer The reason for this is that siding tends to crack easily in cold temperatures Any siding replacement would be difficult at best as per our telephone conversation The distributor for Glidelock vinyl siding has surreptitiously relocated to another area (believed to be New York), but Install America chooses not to conduct business with him due to some unethical transactions by himI also feel it is important to note that Install America is willing to perform a service for this homeowner from an installation that took place in Pennsylvania state law requires a home improvement contractor to service installations for one year from the date of installation It is years since this installationInstall America feels any arbitration proceedings are unnecessary at this point in time We feel the resolution presented is appropriate moving forward Please feel free to contact me with any additional questions or comments Thank youRespectfully, Susan *W***, Safety/Compliance Of

Hello,My name is Bruce F [redacted] I am the new Service Manager for Install AmericaI am responding to the complaint b [redacted] ID # [redacted] which was submitted to you on 6/5/2017.I want to assure you that we have addressed the issues that the customer statesWhen I was informed on 5/19/that the customer still had complaints left messages for them with no return callWhen we received the Revdex.com letter indicating that they still had issues on Frió/9/called the customer again and left messages for them asking if I could personally come out to inspect the door myself on Frib/I have received no return calls from them as of today Tues 6/13/I called again today asking if I could come out and inspect the door but as of yet I have not received any response.The homeowners primary concern seems to be that the patio door was "installed upside down" This is incorrectThe patio doors that we sell are reversible so that they can work in multiple installation situationsThis is actually a common practice in the industryOne style patio door can be used for either a left to right operation or a right to left operation simply by switching the panels from left to right or right to leftThat is not an indication that the door was installed improperlyThe customer is correct that when the installer was there the first time he did not sufficiently shim the frame of the door which is essential for an footpatio door to operate properlyWe corrected that and an issue with the screen not operating properly and his other complaints.If the Customer desires this to Come to a resolution they need to return my phone calls and allow me to inspect the doorIf there are any issues that still need to be addressed I will ensure that they are taken care of.Bruce F [redacted] Service Manager Install AmericaI can be reached by calling [redacted] ***

I have two contracts with Install America, to do work on my windows and work on my roof May 8,2017, aug and oct 23, they were to do the work, and all three times they did not showI now have about 20,dollars worth of damage to my 3rd and 2nd floorsNick, Jay, and Jim the management team have been uselesswe were approved by [redacted] ***  back in feb of for the loan I have also set the information to the Pa and Delaware State AG

We agreed to a free estimate for a sunroom additionThe Install America rep provided a quote and a deep discount if we signed that dayWe were very clear that the only way we would do the project is by rolling the cost into our mortgageThe contract is also written this way A few days later we received a letter from [redacted] saying we were approved for a loan in the amount of the project at AprThis was not what was discussed We called [redacted] and canceled the loanWe tried contacting Install America and never reached a live person We've lefty messages and have not received a reply We also attempted to fax a cancellation notice within the cancellation time frame but the fax number provided did not answer We have record of when we faxed We've stopped payment on the $check and want documentation from Install America that our contract has been cancelled We have no intentions of moving forward

We had exteriors doors put on our home by Install AmericaThe installer was very polite, friendly, informative and super cleanHe worked the whole time except lunch and stayed with the job until completedVery pleased with workmanship and doors are beautiful!! Will recommend your company to everyone

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the responseIf no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved] Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: As stated in my original complaint, I said that Install America did pay me months of payments I also said that the salesperson who sold us the product promised us and had a hour discussion on the very subject of a month deferment I am having a very difficult time imagining that Install America is forgetting all of the conversations between myself and several of their staff about this issue Also, they seam to be forgetting that they called me about a month ago to set up a new appointment to give us a quote on remaining work that needs to be done When I told the person who had called that I was never going to hire Install America and why, I was told that I would be contacted in a day or two with an answer as to how to resolve this issue I had several lengthy conversations with this person about our issues with Install America and the "fired salesman" who sold me the windows She had told me that the Sales Manager was going to come out to my home to see what can be resolved I did not get the Sales Manager, I got a salesman who had no idea that I was upset with Install America and who had tried to sell me more products after telling me that I had to purchase more from Install America in order to get the rest of the months deferment that was originally promised me by a Salesman who is no longer there and by another person to whom I spoke to before the original installation of the windows Install America is very aware of the conversations that I had with there staff on numerous occasion both back in May and June and again in August and they are very aware of the practice's of the fired salesman as well Install America is very aware that I was given a verbal agreement for a month deferment and they acknowledged that back in May and in June I was not told in May that it was never put on the contract This does not excuse Install America from contacting me again and then trying to sell me more products when I made it clear that I was not going to purchase anything else from them ever It does not excuse Install America to come out to my home on the pretenses of resolving our past issues just to sell more product to clearly unwilling customerIn short, I am not a liar and I can assure you that we had made it very clear to Jim B [redacted] that we were not going to have work done until October of or later Jim B [redacted] promised us something that he could not produce...a month deferment Why because Install America stopped giving month deferments in 2013! I was also told that the promised deferment would have come out of his commission check How did I find this out? By the salesman that came out to my home in August I called before the work was to be done to be sure I got the deferment and was told that I had it I was told times by two different people at Install America that I had this deferment I don't really care that I signed the final work order I did not call you Install America in August, you called me! I do not appreciate that you have wasted my time and frankly I was going to leave this alone in June I wasn't happy then with the resolution and now I am just infuriated How dare you invade my home and demand that I purchase one more thing from you! On 4/16/a representative for Install America came to a property I own to discuss a new roof for the propertyOn 4/16/I signed a contract for the installation of a new roof at the property in Downingtown and provided the representative with a check for the deposit of $On 4/18/16, after reconsidering the contract, I decided to cancel the contract, and as per the contract, I signed and sent by priority mail, a cancellation of the contractInstall America received the Notice of Cancellation at their Mohnton office on 4/19/16, which was within the timeframe for cancellation, which was no later than midnight on 4/20/Install America cashed my check # [redacted] in the amount of $on 4/26/ According to the signed contract, all deposit funds will be returned within ten business days following the receipt of the cancellation noticeAs of this date (5/13/16) I have not received a refund of my depositI have called the office and left messages, asking for a return call regardi

July 9, Dear [redacted] :I am in receipt of your letter dated July 1, in regards to ** [redacted] [redacted] signed a contract with us on June 19, The contract was for $24,with a $5,down payment and the balance to be financed.Apparently ** [redacted] was promised that we would be out to his home to start work on Tuesday June 24, 2014, just three working days after the signing of the contractUnfortunately, because of the size of the contract, it did not go through our financing department until Friday June 27, 2014, Since it was not a net contract, we missed ** [redacted] s deadline of Tuesday.I had a long conversation with [redacted] on or about June 30, We have cancelled his contract as per his desireSince it was not a net contract for us his $5,deposit check was never negotiated at our bankI mailed his check back to him on June 30, We have agreed not to charge any fees to [redacted] .If you need additional information please do not hesitate to call us.Sincerely;

November 11, 2014Dear [redacted] :I am in receipt of your letter regarding our customer [redacted] , [redacted] contracted with our company on 9/16/for replacement windows and doorsThe contract also states for new buck frames to be installed on all of the replacement windows we were to furnish and installDuring our prejob inspection on 10/2/14, our project manager noticed this application was unusual and questioned the structural integrity of the wall framingHe was unable, at this time, to determine whether the existing framing was sufficient to support our new windowsIt was suggested to send our construction manager, who is much more experienced with framing and wall support, to inspect and review.Unfortunately, to no fault of [redacted] , we have had an extremely busy last few months and our lead times have become extended much further than normalOur communication to our customers has suffered, especially for [redacted] , to which we sincerely apologizeWe have since spoken with Derriek N [redacted] , who is on the contract with [redacted] , and have our construction manager inspecting their project today November The terms of the financing they were approved for were also reviewed with MrN [redacted] , and the documents sent to their home for review.We look forward to formulating an appropriate plan to complete their project per building code regulations, and will be sure to communicate with them throughout the remainder of their project.Regards,Michael B
