I spoke to [redacted] on 1/5/16 and advised him that the catalytic converter was ordered and the dealer, [redacted], would install it so he can pick up his vehicle.  Hed told me he was at the airport and leaving the country for a month and then will be in Florida for 2 months. He’s left the...

vehicle at [redacted] until he returns from his vacation. I’ve tried to call him but his phone is not accepting messages.  but we’re not able to reach him.  We would like to offer him $1,000.00 for his inconvenience and pay for any out of pocket rental expense he had while waiting for the repair.

[redacted] USA reviewed Mr. [redacted]s complaint regarding repair concerns and his request for a replacement motorcycle.  After a thorough investigation of the complaint presented, [redacted] USA has determined that the vehicle’s service history does not present an obligation for [redacted] USA...

to replace or reacquire the motorcycle.  The BMW Limited Warranty for this motorcycle provided coverage up to 3 years or 36,000 miles.  This motorcycle has been repaired per the active warranty coverage.  We empathize with this situation and will provide consideration for Mr. [redacted]s service loss and inconvenience. This complaint has been documented.  Although we are closing our file on this matter, our authorized BMW dealers are available to discuss any further issues with his motorcycle.

Please be advised we have determined that Mr. [redacted]’s vehicle is working as designed and no compensation will be offered. I advised him of same today.

Mr. [redacted] was not happy with the customer service he received at BMW of [redacted]. His issues were relayed to the appropriate management personnel. After discussing his concerns, Mr. [redacted] agreed that he would bring his vehicle to another authorized dealership and agreed to an appointment that...

we scheduled for him at Autobahn BMW with our BMW technical engineer.  The engineer made sure the headlights beams where correctly aligned and verified the lights were operating as designed. He also had the foreman drive the vehicle home overnight and he also confirmed the lights are operating properly and the vehicle was returned to him.

I am rejecting this response because: Customer disagree's with BMW NA's assessment. Please provide a copy of unauthorized service history from the alledged service providers and provide proof that an unauthorized center completed work on my vehicle.

We have concluded our review of the Revdex.com complaint, case number: [redacted] and request for reimbursement of the faulty oil filter housing unit in the amount of $8,416.29.  Our original position remains unchanged.  Additionally, this vehicle came with a four year or 50,000 mile limited warranty against manufacturing defects in material or workmanship.  Since the vehicle warranty expired on by date 03/27/2012, the request for assistance cannot be considered. Thus, no financial assistance or reimbursement will be offered. Although we are closing our file on this matter. I am rejecting this response because:[redacted] BMW replaced the transmission and the mount broke while it was in their possession while performing the replacement. BMW should replace the mount at their expense. This is a typical pattern of repair and return for [redacted]. The number of complaints across the internet aboutBMW reliability is astounding. You charge a premium for a product the that has a short shelf life.The pride of owning a 'fine tuned German Automobile' is diminished by the poor quality of partsand unreliability of repairs. Fix your cars so that have the 'bullet proof' reliability of a Honda.Replace the motor mount at BMW expense, not mine! Please prevent me from being one moredisappointed BMW customer on Facebook.Thank you

I am rejecting this response because: This is false BMW never made any such offer. BMW USA passes everything off to the local dealer.This statement is an insult. I received a phone call from Alexa from BMW USA Wednesday about my complaint.  I returned her call andnever heard back.

This case has been resolved. The customer confirmed she picked up her vehicle yesterday. I explained the delay was caused partly due to dealer waiting on insurance company to perform inspections and approve the claim. Additionally: the actual repairs that needed to be performed on the vehicle. I...

also advised as a goodwill gesture the BMW of Freeport put her in a loaner vehicle. She stated there were restrictions on the loaner. I explained she was not obligated to take the loaner, again it was a goodwill gesture and she could have gotten a rental vehicle through her insurance.We have declined any reimbursement of monthly lease payments based on the facts that this issue was caused by outside influence (her accident) and insurance company involvement.

I am rejecting this response because:BMW is responding in the same manner it has since I purchased the car.  They refuse to act in good faith,  regardless of the multiple service records since the time of purchase evidencing recurring unresolved issues associated with oil that have morphed into much larger issues.  My car has gone from a small oil leak that was not detected - and for which I had to constantly add extra oil -  to what BMW now acknowledges (since the car paid off and the warranty expired) as oil soaked damage that requires nearly $5000 in repairs. To respond that the repairs will not be covered because of the age of the car and warranty is to make a decision to simply ignore years of service records evidencing my attempts to get the oil related issues resolved.  I do not consider my complaint resolved.  Resolved means BMW acts in good faith and repairs the car that I love and that BMW knows had an undetected oil leak that has morphed into the need for greater repairs.

On Wed. 1/27/16 I called and advised Mr. [redacted] BMW NA is willing to pay 50% of 6 year/100K miles extended warranty which cost $2895.00, he stated he will think about it and to call him back in 2 days. On Friday 1/29/16 at 3:12 PM I called customer on [redacted], and left him a voicemail message.
