Review: Hello I signed up for DC Singles this Summer and actually I was pressured to sign up for it with a guarantee that I will meet the right person. After signing up for the service and paying my $2000, the 4 men show no interest in meeting me that were sent to me as contacts. In fact one man told me that he was not a legal citizen and also shared some other strange information, which made fearful to go out with me. He also totally stopped calling me. The other two men never returned my call after talking to them once when I tried to set up time to meet with them and the last man told me that he was already seeing someone. I am highly disappointed in this service and the referrals that I was given. I tried to reach out to client service and was told that she would call the guy back to see what happened and call me back. During this call, I requested either 4 more contact or a refund of my money because of the lack of suitable men that were sent to me, but no response or return phone call.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund of my $2000 for the breach of the contract for failure to properly screen suitable men for me to date as promised and to respond to my concerns and complaints. At this point, I would very much like my money back because I got absolutely nothing out of this service and I feel that I was scammed me out of my money.

When we received word of [redacted]'s complaint, we left her messages to discuss this matter directly with her. We were able to speak with her briefly yesterday in which she stated she would call us back, because it wasn't a good time. We are still waiting to speak with her. We want to resolve any issues [redacted] may have so that she is happy with her program.Thank you for your time.Regards,DC Singles

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Review: DC Singles stated that they have a massive database of eligible gentlemen, they perform background checks to ensure their authenticity, and will refer eligible Gentlemen to me for review based on my selective criteria. They further stated that their background checks would enable them to weed out scammers and they would make sure the people forwarded are respectable people. I believe their sales pitch contracted with DC Singles and provided them with $2500.00 in which they will provide me with 4+2 referrals. I was also pressured to sign on July 10, 2013 and they would have a match for me by August 2013. Since DC Singles could not keep their word for August, I requested my money back. DC Singles sent a match at the end of September but he was not what I specified what I was looking for. Several months went by and I asked for my money back again. Again DC Singles sent someone totally different than what I was looking for. From July 2013 to May 2014, DC Singles has failed to hold up their agreement and I have asked repeatedly for my money back which they are totally against.Desired Settlement: Since DC Singles do not have the extensive database they claim to manage and failed to refer six respectable gentlemen according to my selection criteria, I would like a majority of my money returned.

Regards,

Review: August 12, 2013Dear DC Singles Corporation,I will start with the initial meeting on 6-24-2013. I met with [redacted]. She is a lovely young woman. Her process was thorough as well as direct. I paid her by check #[redacted] in the amount of $2500.00 in exchange for:Trial-4 referrals and 3 month freeze. To date I have many observations.1. I set up my profile and heard nothing 2. Once I inquired as to what was going on I heard back the same day3. I waited approx. 5 weeks and did not hear about any matches, today 8-12 I just got an email thanking me for joining dated from 7-10-20134. When I contacted you back on 7-26 I then immediately heard from you as well. You had found a match "coincidently" the very day I questioned what was going on5. The match did not have one quality I spent two hours of my time in an intense interrogation 6. I was then told just go out? Make the best of it till we get to know you? What was the point of the initial interview. 7. Then I was told I have a matchmaker? I have never met her and when I put the spotlight on whomever that was I got a phone call from yet another woman who said she would relay my messages about lack of matchmaking8. I then got an email back on 7-26 that said anyone over 5'7 with a real job would be a much harder match, it would take longer??? That was never mentioned when I signed the contract. To date I have done everything I was asked. The contract says the monies are non-refundable for services but since I have not received any I would like a refund check $2500.00 I have zero vote of confidence. Your business ethics are shady at best, criminal and civilly irresponsible. This is the classic case of bait and switch. Take money for services you have no intentions of honoring.Desired Settlement: Refund. No services were rendered and no contact was ever made that I did not initiate.

Date: 8/28/13 Re: [redacted]

To Whom It May Concern,

We understand that [redacted] may be somewhat frustrated since she hasn't found someone she has connected with yet. This is not to say that we have not provided her with everything promised thus far. [redacted] has mentioned some details about her account which are not quite acctirate. She has, indeed, received services and we have been working very hard for her. We are not a "scam" in any way and wc will provide all information we have on record for **. [redacted]'s program to date.

[redacted] joined our services on 6/24/13. After her interview, we immediately went to work for her. We entered her information into our system, created her profile, entered extensive notes from her interview, conducted her background check, uploaded her photos, discussed possible matches on her behalf, etc. [redacted] completed her profile on 6/2S and we received the following e-mail:

'Subject: [redacted] (112) completes the profile Date: 2013-06-26 09:27:32

Client ID: **

Name: [redacted] completes the profile on 06/26/2013 09:27:32"

[redacted]A few days later, we activated [redacted]’s profile and began searching for her first most compatible match. We had sent [redacted] an e-mail notifying her that her account had become active, but apparently, she did not receive them. She e-mailcd us on 7/10 inquiring about her status. We immediately responded and notified her that we were currently searching for her. We told her we would re-send the activation e-mails. We sent her the following again:

"Subject: Client Services Date: 2013-07-10 11:07:08

Hi [redacted],

We are very excited that you have decided to make this great change in your life! We have activated your account today and we will begin the search for you. It generally takes 0 to 8 weeks to find your first match; however, it could be sooner than that. It all depends on how quickly we can find a compatible person for you. You will he notified when we find an introduction, so please keep an eye on your profile on a regular basis.

We hope to find someone as soon as possible! Have a wonderful day and we're looking forward to working with you!

Regards,

The Client Services Department"

[redacted] responded and said that she agreed, to meet [redacted], but to change her height preference to 5'11-6'7. We explained to [redacted] that by changing her height preference up to 511 that it may take longer to find suitable matches for her. There are many men who are 5'8, 5'9.

5'10 who are great men and could be the one for her! We try to keep our clients open to all possibilities, as the more flexible they are with their preferences, the more opportunities they will receive to meet their special someone.

The following day, 7/30, [redacted] seal a long e-mail explaining the reasons why she thought [redacted] was not a match. One of our matchmakers, [redacted], contacted her to discuss her concerns. She explained that [redacted]'s matchmaker, [redacted], was out of (he office that day, so she was calling on her behalf. We wanted to address her concerns immediately. [redacted] expressed her feelings about her first match and [redacted] assured her thal we are very selective in our process and that we would search for her next match. We all work very' closely as a team.

We were searching hard for her, making sure vve paid special attention to her specific needs. In our Rules and Regulations pamphlet, which [redacted] agreed to reviewing in her contract under paragraph #1, under paragraph #3 it states: "Compatibility is very subjective and that we will send you referrals we deem, in our sole and absolute discretion as 'likely most mutually compatible' as indicated in your singles data. The final determination to meet a referral is yours and yours alone. You understand and agree that we wiU supply you referrals on an as available basis. Because we try to send compatible referrals, you understand and agree that there is no way for us to predict the frequency and time frame of each referraL However, we will search on your behalf on a monthly basis, but we will only match you with others that we feel you are compatible with. You further understand thal no two people are generally perfectly compatible and agree that we will use our best judgement in providing referrals that most nearly match your requirements."

[redacted] As you can see, we do not have an exact time frame in between matches, but we do search on everyone's behalf on a monthly basis. However, we will only set up a match that has the potential to become a long-term relationship. We will not match our clients with just anyone, as that is not what we do. We specialize in helping our clients find the RIGHT types of singles.

We have a record in [redacted]'s account that we had a gentleman in mind for [redacted] nn 8/21. We were in the process of finding out his availability in order to set up the match. We then received an e-mail from [redacted] today, 8/28, claiming that she contacted the Revdex.com and would like a refund. We are surprised to receive her e-mail and this complaint, as we have provided everything promised thus far and have been working very hard on [redacted]'s behalf. We may not be in contact with her all the time, but we are very busy working behind the scenes for her, as we are for all of our clients. However, we are always here if she needs us. We are not sure why [redacted] claims she has not been able to reach us via phone. We answer our phones and return calls. We also spend all of our time recruiting, interviewing, matching, etc. The matching process is one that especially takes much time. It's important for our clients to remain patient and positive during their time with us. [redacted] has also only just started with us.

[redacted] signed a contract which shows that our fee is non-refund able, per paragraphs 1 and #13. Also, she signed a client obligation form which states that she agrees she is required to meet all of her purchased matches so that she may give DC Singles the full opportunity to meet her expectations of the program. She also agrees not to go to any outside agency before trying to resolve the problem directly with our staiT. This includes contacting the Revdex.com.

We only want to help [redacted] find someone special, as we know that is important to her. We just ask that she is patient and works with us. We have her best interest at heart

Thank you for your time.

Regards,

DC Singles Staff

Subject: Re: Fwd: Response to DC Singles I do not want to accept their resolition but want a refund

To: [redacted] <[redacted]>

Hi [redacted],

I do not want to withdraw my complaint but it appears unless I am willing to pay legal fee's I am stuck.

Thank you for your time,

Review: I went in to their office in or near [redacted] Virginia [redacted] and tried to have a conversation with a sales representative. I was pleasant and courteous and a bit exuberant, explaining my beliefs and my experiences. Suddenly after a few minutes the sales rep got up and said she had a call from her division manager. She left me in her office, closed the door and didn't return. Suddenly I got a call on my cell from someone else who claimed she was the director or boss calling from a Maryland area code. Just after she called me a short stocky older man opens the door and orders me to leave, forcing me to leave through the parking lot exit.

I had talked to another rep [redacted] on the phone last night at [redacted] who was very nice to me and asked me write down a list of personality traits (2 lists of personality traits) in preparation for the 2 PM meeting today which I did immediately after talking to her last night.

I can't believe who rudely I was treated by this organization. When I went to visit the rep while I was explaining how I felt she showed absolutely no interest or reaction and in fact was intimidating.

They are not nice. They don't seem interested in helping people meet other people but only lining their pockets with their fees. They couldn't have been more disinterested in what I had to say.

I'm sorry I wasted a trip all the way from my home to their office for an appointment to be kicked out for no reason at all.Desired Settlement: I hope others will avoid this business. An apology is in order but I don't think they are capable. Their web ads are misleading and a misrepresentation of the real way they do business, the gruff unpleasant way of doing business.

6/2/14To Whom It May Concern,This is a rather interesting case. [redacted] appears to be leaving out some extremely pertinent information. Please note that there is a history with [redacted], and his behavior was completely unacceptable, which is why we asked him to leave the premises. We will explain below. One of our staff members used to work for another matchmaking company a couple years ago. At that time, this staff member had met with [redacted] and signed him up for the services. The representative who met with [redacted] was about to have a child – she was 7 months pregnant. [redacted] appeared to be interested in this woman, as he would constantly go to the office, bring her presents, ask her out, etc. The woman was very distressed because of this. It apparently became so out of control that the company had to terminate his membership. The woman he was interested in was fearful after this occurred. Now, [redacted] is still single and has shown interest in joining DC Singles. Ironically, the woman he met with at the other organization now works for our company. When one of our representatives spoke with [redacted] on the phone and scheduled his interview, we had no idea that this was the same gentleman. As soon as he walked in the door of our office on the day of his interview, the woman (originally from the other company) and [redacted] recognized one another. This apparently caused tension and he immediately became irate and hostile towards everyone. Before he even had an interview, he was very rude to our staff members, so our staff members called our Director who then called [redacted]. As she began speaking to him about the situation (and remaired very professional and polite), [redacted] began cursing and yelling obscenities. It was then that a gentleman who worked in the office next door to us came in to the room, and ordered [redacted] to leave.[redacted] then stood outside of our building and would not leave at first. The ladies in our office were so petrified and disconcerted that they were just about to call the police when [redacted] finally left. We have never had an incident like this happen before. We hope that [redacted] does not return to our building again. We absolutely will not offer him an apology, but we do wish him well and we hope he finds someone special.Thank you for your time in this matter.Regards,
