Joe was awesome! Definitely the type of person you feel comfortable having in your home or business. Extremely knowledgeable, as a Master Plumber should be. He explained in detail, step by step, what he was doing. I would highly recommend Joe to anyone looking for plumbing work done. And anytime I need plumbing work done, he will be the first person I call!

Bad experience such that we don’t plan to ever use them again. We had a huge problem with our water heater they had installed which was still under warranty. They acknowledged that it needed replacement but they asked for a certain amount in labor cost, which was way more than the original cost of the water heater. They blamed everybody else but themselves for the problem. We talked to the manager who brought the labor cost down some but it was still too ridiculous to even consider.

Amazing. Barry came out and was extremely professional. Diagnosed the issue and was able to tell me how to go about fixing it and gave me an estimate far lower than I was expecting for Deans to fix it. Will absolutely be calling Deans again for any electrical needs.

Serviceman Eric was sent out to fix our furnace. He took the time to explain what was going on and what the source of the problem was. Seemingly a simple fix for an experienced person. A extremely smart and very patient man. Very professional and I hope the next time we need something he is the tech we get. Very impressed.

Dean's serviceman Eric was friendly, knowledgeable. I would refer everyone to Dean's Professional plumbing, heating & air.

After we discovered frozen pipes in our kitchen and bathrooms we called three different plumbing companies on a Sunday morning. Dean's was the only company who answered their phone, which immediately impressed us. By noon that same day Brian was at our house for assessment and helped us get the water turned off to just the affected areas. We called him back on Monday with additional questions and for his recommendation on options to resolve this issue. He came back out to our house within a day, gave us a couple of options, and wrote up estimates. He was thorough with his recommendations and we settled on the work. He and his colleague, Andrew returned on Friday of the same week to complete the work. Timing was extremely important to us because we were heading into a weeklong stretch of subzero temperatures. The following Sunday, we discovered we did not have water in one of our bathroom showers that they had worked on, we immediately called Dean's and they sent Tim out that same day. He discovered that the faucet mechanism was loose, he tightened it, and we haven't had any more issues. In summary, Dean's team was professional, knowledgeable, and timely -- and they answer their phone! Their office staff was friendly and helpful, and their scheduler kept us informed on arrival times -- even sending a GPS link so we could track them en route. I would use them again and would recommend Dean's to others.

have used deans many times and have not been sorry

Great Service! Easy to make appointments. We love the tracking service they offer as well so we know when to expect them. Courteous.

Technicians left PVC shavings in drain lines, furnace would not work properly. Had to have another tech out to clean. Brand new furnace and it wouldn't work, disappointing. Works great after second tech appointment.

So as I am going over the Deans Bills From Feb 2017- Dec 2018. There are several double charges and also lots of work that was not needed. Also a maintenance plan that was purchased and never received the benefits of the plan. I have been calling them for a week now to speak to a supervisor and no one will call back. Also I have called because none of the invoices they sent match the carbon ones that we have. None of the invoices are signed by Chuck. This is a classic take advantage of the elderly sick person. They added a combustion air tube and we don't have a furnace so they did that and it cost $699 for nothing but to have cold air in the basement I am having so many issues with the boiler that we purchased that plan but I can't even get a call from the company.

HI ***,

I truly apologize for the delay to your concern. The original person your concern was sent to was on vacation. When you called on a Friday, I was sent your concern but was not in the office. I received this from the Revdex.com the following Monday. We also tried calling you a couple of days ago. I am very happy to know that our customer care professionals were sending you the items you were requesting. I went through the account and I show signatures on all work *** agreed for us to perform. All of our invoices are through email so there would not be any carbon copies. I also show that *** opened the invoice emails we sent him. We did perform the maintenance evaluations in 2017 and I show and have proof that we made several attempts through phone to reach *** to perform his evaluations under our maintenance plan in 2018 and one in January of this year. Two of the jobs we performed for *** including the combustion air job, were jobs where we provided estimates and *** called us back at a later date to perform the work. For the combustion air job, *** called us over a month after we provided the quote to schedule the work, on the other larger job, he called us 6 months later to perform the work. I'm not sure what your goal is with this, but the words in here to describe Chuck's experience with us is false. Our relationship with *** stems back to 2012 and he is a long-time valued customer of ours. Looking over the calls he made to us and the work we performed, I show no signs of us taking advantage of him no matter his age or condition. Combustion air is for gas fired appliances and the boiler in *** home is operated by gas, combustion air it’s not just for furnaces. Please see the following links for more information. https://codes.iccsafe.org/content/MMFGC2015/chapter-7-combustion-air?site_type=public and https://codes.iccsafe.org/content/IRC2018/chapter-24-fuel-gas. Lastly, I’m truly sorry you are experiencing issues with your boiler. We want to help and are available 24 hours a day to take your call to get you on our schedule. Please call us back to discuss this further as we have tried to contact you. Thank you.

I am rejecting this response because:This combustion tube they installed is just open in the laundry room and all kinds of cold air is coming in. Not attached to anything therefor it is useless. I can not schedule an appointment with this company as you have to take a whole day off of work. Also no one called since June of last year for this service plan that was paid for because I had the phone with me and no call. I finally had someone call me in January. I am looking for issues to be fixed or full refund. Also not a whole day appointment.

Dean's Home Services Response • Feb 06, 2019

Hi ***,

The combustion air is a tube the comes from the outside and is open ended into a room to bring fresh air into that room so there is oxygen for the gas appliances to combust. The end of the tube is open ended and does not connect to anything. Looking at the pictures from the job, it looks installed correctly and its doing its intended purpose. We did call two times last year and, we performed work in June with *** which was after our calls. We are more than willing and happy to look over what issues you have with the boiler. We can schedule you for the first job of the day so it’s not an all-day window. You have already spoken with our manager Adam today and he is calling you back to get you on the schedule.

Fantastic service - got us in right away and made our hot water problems (lack of it anyway) simply go away...nicely done Dean's!!

Steve E. Was very informative, friendly and patient. The problem was as bad as I thought and he gave me a couple of options. I guess I will be seeing him again.

On 12/12 Deans responded to a boiler issue warranty call. The technician determined the issue to be caused by 2 faulty vents connected to the boiler and a single vent connected to a radiator. To fix parts were required to be ordered Tech also explained connected vents were covered under warranty and the one not connected was not. We also determined the it would be advisable to replace thermostats. I agreed to purchase and have Deans install on return visit. I was quoted 100 for install and 461 for non-warranty vent work. I immediately questioned price and was told by Ben that the work was extensive. This seemed odd but I decided to wait and see how long the fix took before making too many waves.

On 12/27 Deans returned and performed all work. The 461.00 non-warranty vent took 15 minutes to install- I immediately asked tech (different guy from 12/12) why I was charge so much for such little effort- he could not answer as he did not give original estimate. I let him know I appreciated the work he did and called Deans mgmt. after the tech left. I ended up speaking with Tim. I explained that I was willing to pay reasonable rate for work done but 461.00 for 15 min (2 k an hour?) was not ok. He defended price and told me I should not have agreed to it. I told him I did not address n price alone - what I agreed to was Ben telling me the work would be significant and that I have no knowledge of how to determine weather I'm being properly quoted plumbing work or not- Obviously I was mislead

My past experiences with Deans have been professional, timely and the work has always reflected quality. In this case my issue is with Tim's reluctance to be reasonable and stance to defend the inflated price I was given (by the way Deans made me pay upfront which is fine, but I only agreed to 50% deposit. Instead they charged my card the entire amount on 12/12)

I strongly feel Deans over inflated price to compensate for warranty work

Dean's Home Services Response • Jan 11, 2019

Hi ***,

I want to thank you for your business and continual trust in Dean's to honor your warranty. I understand your frustrations and concerns regarding costs to do what we do. I show that we have total of 11 hours with the 3 people devoted to your two visits. What I can't tell is how much time out of this was spent on investigating and repairing warranty work vs other services needed and performed. We are a flat rate price company and we believe in providing a price up front so that there are no surprises. Some jobs may go better than planned and some go a bit longer than planned. In both situations there is no haggling with prices or adding/taking away what was promised.

We honor warranty work, and in most cases there is no other work needed or performed and also no money exchanged. To address your feelings that we inflated our price to compensate for warranty work, I assure you that our employee did not purposing raise price of the additional work we did to cover any warranty work for you, this would be very unethical and a very bad business practice. I'm sorry that Ben mistakenly charged you the full amount for the work instead of 50%. I will refund you $100 for the mistake in hopes of making this right for you. Thank you for allowing me to respond to your concerns.

Best Regards,

Jeremy

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Very efficient team! They answer the phones and respond with urgency and great follow up. The technician that arrived, Eric, went above and beyond! I called in with one issue and then discovered I had another.
I called the office and explained. When Eric arrived he was aware of both situations and just went to work. I was babysitting my grandchildren and they both were looking for attention. He was quick to respond to both. Once he completed the work he came to do he actually took the time to help my grandson with a problem he was having with a video game system! One of the issues got a little complicated and Eric actually returned to the house twice to clarify the problem! Love how attentive Eric was to my stressful situation!

Always showed up on time, prepared to work, friendly, helpful. A little pricy but up on current codes and great work done. Would absolutely use again!!!

My first experience with Dean's plumbing and it will be the last. I had two simple jobs that together would take less than 2 hours. I should have been suspicious when I learned they were available the next day to come out. The first task was to replace the cartridge in a 2 year old shower faucet. They quoted over $500 for that task. The second was replacing a drain in a bathtub with the wall removed and easy access. They quoted another $500 for that. Nate also said we needed a funnel on the basement drain to prevent back-ups into the water softener. The cost? You guessed it, another $500. I was ready to send Nate packing, but my wife insisted we at least get the dripping shower faucet cartridge replaced. He did that in about 30 minutes and still charged us $500. He did say their labor rate is $300 per hour, which seems very high, but then to charge $500 for 30 minutes work? That is $1000 per hour.
I think this company is a ripoff and I recommend no one even consider using them.
Bill

Crazily high price. They only want to be there to sell you their products with unreasonably high price. I will never use them again and advice people to stay away from them unless you don’t mind paying 3 times higher than other plumbing places

Dean`s Professional is the best plumbing experience we have ever had. Very professional in explaining everything and the options available. We also were impressed by the neatness, politeness and knowledge of what had to be done. Nate is a great asset to the company. He does quality work and makes it look so easy so you know the experience excels. We were impressed with all the communication the company does. So you know the representative is from Dean`s as in todays society we have to be aware. Will definitely recommend this company to anyone that needs plumbing.

Ben was courteous, neat, a good worker and did what needed to be done in a timely fashion.. I highly recommend Deans.

Professional and polite. Up front pricing. Would use again.
