I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this is satisfactory according to the call  I got from John ###-###-#### who promise to give a $200.00 reduction and be at my home on Monday, June 16 between the hrs of 9am - 12pm. If that does not happen I would like a complete refund

I am rejecting this response because:
As we have posted in our complaint, Deck Helmet has had their chance to fix the issues and now the contract is not only SIX months past due for completion, it was not completed as they advertised to begin with.  Both my wife and myself have taken multiple days off of work to schedule these reviews and Deck Helmet has not shown up to any of them. I told Deck Helmet back in June that I was home after 4 on every day of the week all year the first time they asked us to do a "site review".  Have they been out once?  No.We've taken time off for the employees to show up and do the job, several of those occasions they've not shown up.  Then one time they do show up, it's at 8AM Saturday morning with power tools. They don't even bother to call saying they weren't coming.  I have email after email, over 100 pictures of bad work and damage to my decking and property, and Deck Helmet's own contract and checklist saying they'd complete the work in 90 days. One of their employees was disrespectful both in talking to me and rolling his eyes at me while on my property.  This has been a bad experience from the get-go, and as we have posted before, Deck Helmet will no longer be welcomed on my property.The damage to the decking includes Deck Helmet cutting 1/4 of wood off of the side of the deck planks.  This damage is irreversible regardless of how many site inspections they want to do.  Are they going to glue the wood back on the deck?I can provide photos to evidence the damage and poor workmanship if it helps.

I am rejecting this response because:
Deck Hemet claims their product protects decks for 10 years when I have pictures that show otherwise. At the time we had deck helmet applied, our deck was not at the terrible state it is now. In fact, the sales person assured us that our deck could last another 10-15 years with deck helmet. It lasted 8 months before we had to call for someone to come out and resurface the deck. 
The Deck Helmet website claims the following benefits/guarantees are stated:
• 10 year warranty on product
• 24 month warranty on workmanship 
• Dramatically reduces maintenance requirements 
• Significantly lengthens the life of your deck 
• Mildew resistant finish 
• Adds a smooth, long lasting, protective helmet
Every single one of these benefits have been broken by the company. Every single listed "benefit" is untrue. 
The product is not a "helmet" as is claimed by the company.  We paid $12,000 for this company to apply solid wood paint. It peels from both the old and newly replaced wood boards that were initially replaced by the company. 
I have been calling for someone to repair the damaged deck since March. I have taken every step necessary and have gone above and beyond the scope of what any consumer should have to do. The warranty has been broken. The product did not protect the deck as was promised. Instead the paint has peeled and the wood has been exposed to the elements which caused the wood to rot. 
I WILL NOT PAY FOR ANY BOARDS TO BE REPLACED. THE BOARDS ROTTED BECAUSE THE SURFACE PEELED AWAY AND CAUSED THE BOARDS TO BE EXPOSED TO THE ELEMENTS. IF THE PAINT DID NOT PEEL AWAY THEN THE BOARDS WOULD NOT HAVE ROTTED. WE PAID FOR DECK HELMET TO APPLY A SURFACE ON OUR DECK BOARDS. THE SURFACE DID NOT LAST AND PEELED AWAY.  DECK HELMET IS RESPONSIBLE FOR STANDING BY THIER WARRANTY - THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE BOARDS THAT HAVE ROTTED DUE TO THE PEELING PAINT.  THEREFORE, THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR REPLACING THE ROTTED BOARDS AND RESURFACING THE ENTIRE DECK WITH THE PRODUCT THE SALESPERSON SHOWED US, NOT THE SOLID WOOD PAINT THAT IS CURRENTLY ON THE DECK.  IF DECK HELMET IS UNWILLING TO STAND BY THIER WARRANTY THEN THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR REFUNDING THE COST.
