I am rejecting this response because:  Deck Helmet's sub contractor still has not started the work. I spoke with him Friday 9/23 and the sub contractor is still in a dispute with Deck Helmet about the work to be performed.  As of friday 9/23 the subcontractor stated "if I don't do the work they are going to have to get someone else to do it". I am stuck in the middle Of a dispute between Deck Helmet and their sub-contractor.

[A default letter is provided here which indicates your acceptance of the business's response.  If you wish, you may update it before sending it.]Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and I have paid the balance owed to Deck Helmet.  The matter is settled. Although I have settled my issues by accepting Deck Helmet's offer of a 5% discount on the original contract quote, Jason fails to recognize and address the core of my complaint. The project did take a long time and Jason is correct in stating that most of the delay was weather related. He did not address the inconvenience, frustration and uncertainty that I encountered because of his company's  poor communication, failure to respond to calls, contractors showing up at odd hours ,  unscheduled, on weekends in unmarked vans and the blatant destruction of personal property. The 7% discount offered by Deck Helmet will be used to replace the new sod and perennial plants that were destroyed by Deck Helmet's negligence.

I am rejecting this response because:  I have documented several images showing the paint chipped off the deck and when you were there (in the dark with your flashlight) you saw that the between the boards looked horrible.  It does need to be cleaned but that is not the issue.  Also, you accused me of cleaning it with a powerwasher so this is getting absurd.  This should be covered under warranty since  the paint is CHIPPPING.
Also, you should not have been on my property without my permission to be there or giving me the day and time you were coming.

I am rejecting this response because: On Friday, April 29, 2016 at 2:49 p.m., I was called by a man identifying himself as Jason and the owner of the company.  He was quite rude.  He did not ask me what were my concerns.  Instead he berated me for submitting my complaint to the Revdex.com only two days after submitting my warranty request. He sounded angry.  He told me he wanted me to remove my complaint.  I said that I would not until my issue had been resolved.  My husband and I have had two other issues with the deck helmet product and are fed up with the run around.  Jason said that he was writing me an email accepting the warranty.  Later that evening I checked my email.  What I had received was an email stating the following...
[redacted]

Hello , Your warranty claim has been approved. Your completion date for your for your warranty is 7/28/2016. Your completion date is the date that your work will be completed by not the date the work will be performed. We give you this day as worst case scenario Due to unforeseeable weather conditions. In addition for every day that it rains are schedule moves up one day. This makes it impossible to give our customers an exact appointment date. We will however email you the evening before your warranty appointment Best Regards, The Deck Helmet Team
This response was not acceptable because this was a do not reply-email.  Also there was no name attached or a phone number for me to call to answer questions about scheduling, etc.  On May 2, 2016 I received another email from the same do not reply address for Deck Helmet stating....
Your warranty request has been denied due to  .You can however  schedule an estimate to get a price quote to repair the non covered claims by visiting deckhelmet.com. Best Regards, The Deck Helmet Warranty Team
As you see, there isn't a reason stated for now denying the warranty.  My experience with this company has been much below my expectations.  I see that on the company's website, there is no longer a way to "review" this business and the testimonials on the website are as recent as 2012.  The Deck Helmet company promises that their product will protect my deck for 10 years but only lasted 6 months.  I have attached the pictures of the chipping paint!  My husband and I are seeking a refund because this company does not know how to respond to customers.  The second email leads us to believe that owner of the company is not willing to make this right unless we remove our complaint.  Our complaint is legitimate and we would be satisfied with a full refund of what we paid, $3,922.00.

Date: Fri, Sep 16, 2016 at 11:40 AMSubject: Complaint ID [redacted]To: [redacted]@myRevdex.com.orgDear [redacted], In...

reference to my complaint listed above, I wanted to inform you that on Friday, September 9, 2016, a representative called from Deck Helmet asking if he could come that day to do the repair work on our deck. Prior to noon, two workers arrived.  After talking to Jorge about the warranty work he was going to do, the job was completed much to the satisfaction of my husband and me.  We were very pleased with Jorge answering our questions and the quality of work that was done to our deck by him and the other worker.  We did not ask for nor did we expect that there would be no charge for this work. However, this does not change our complaint about the service department.  This took much TOO long to resolve than was necessary.  The constant "run around" given to us was totally wrong.  My husband and I still do not understand "Why?" Thanks for your help during this process. [redacted] & [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:
We signed our contract on March 3rd. By mid March winter was long gone and therefore work could have and should have been completed. When we signed the contract, your salesman, Egor stated that as soon as temps were above 35 degrees the work would be completed. Additionally, we stated that the work needed to be completed prior to mid-May because we were expecting a baby and did not want the chemicals used around our newborn child. You had 90 days to complete the work and weather was not a factor. If you would like a list of all high and low temperatures from the date that we signed the contract through today, I would be happy to provide that to you. Sure the winter was brutal, but we signed the contract as we were transitioning to Spring. The only thing stipulated in weather-related terms on the contract is that temps must be above 35. In fact, your contract specifically states, "Deck Helmet Inc. requires temperatures above 35F to apply Deck Helmet coating. In the event that temperatures fall below 35 f. Your Project will be transferred to Spring 2015 and will be completed by May 31, 2015." Your argument that the weather was a factor is completely invalidated by this very sentence in your own contract.
As previously stated by your representative, Saul, over the phone, he said he would work with your accounting or finance (I don't remember which word was used as they are interchangeable) department and issue a refund. The only thing I will accept at this point is a refund. You did not hold up your end of the contract, the work was not completed in the timely manner that was promised and agreed to both in the contract and verbally with your salesman Egor, you do not return phone calls, and I cannot trust anything that you say. I will not deal with your company any further.
Regards,

Your job has been assigned an will be completed within next 30 days

We would be more than happy to fix the issue visit deckhelmet.com/warranty

 Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because refunding our $3,000 deposit does not begin to repair the structural damage that was done to our deck.  We have been having the deck "fixed and repaired" by Deck Helmet since August of last year, every time they have come out more damage has been caused.  We never asked for our deck to be ripped apart by Deck Helmet, but since their product bubbled all over the deck that was their solution.  We will be hiring a licensed deck contractor to make the repairs to the structural damage and request that Deck Helmet pay for the repair of the damage they are responsible for, $10,500 according to the estimates we have from two independent contractors.

I am rejecting this response because:
The statement made by deckhelmet is untrue. On August 12, 2014 I received an email stating "Warranty Work Request Denied Result #[redacted]"
The company is unwilling to stand by their warranty and unwilling to repair any damage.
