Deck Helmet's sub contractor still has not started the workI spoke with him Friday 9/and the sub contractor is still in a dispute with Deck Helmet about the work to be performed? As of friday 9/the subcontractor stated "if I don't do the work they are going to have to get someone else to do it".? I am stuck in the middle Of a dispute between Deck Helmet and their sub-contractor.?

I am rejecting this response because: This company is making no effort to resolve the issue / complaint re: their false advertising and consumer fraud.  They are still pursuing payment $2500 for a product/service not provided to me and continue to avoid any response or effort to communicate to resolve the issue/complaint since Nov 2014.  This has gone on too long.  They merely painted my deck with a product similar to one that I could buy in home depot to restore my deck.  Cost for that product is approximate $137/5 gallon which is sufficient amount to cover my deck with 2 coats.

I am rejecting this response because in my opinion, Deck Helmet is still not providing me with the discount pricing that was advertised in the [redacted].  The advertisement clearly has a clip out coupon with the "deal of the century" pricing of 50% off (see attachment).  The estimator provided two verbal estimates for two different options:  $6950 for the full deck and $4900 for part of the deck.  I had not discussed the fact that I had the coupon from the advertisement with the estimator and when I then showed it to him, he stated that he had already included the discount in the verbal quotes that he had given me.  I feel that providing verbal and not written quotes, and then claiming that the coupon discount that had not yet been discussed with the estimator was included in that verbal estimate, was deceptive and misleading.  When I contacted Customer Service afterwards to complain about this, the representative of Deck Helmet claimed that the estimator had reported that he had given me more expensive quotes and then applied the discount.  This is not the case.

I contracted with Deck Helmet to have the Deck Helmet coating on my front porch and back deck as well as replace all of the stair steps to my back deck, add a support stringer on the underside center of the steps; and replace two sections of rotting wood railings on the front porch. The job was completed August 2, 2016. I signed the contract in December of 2015 and was very much aware that the job couldn't be started until the Spring of 2016. We had a terrible Spring, it was colder than usual and the month of May brought 3 weeks of continuous rain. Rafael was the Deck Helmet contact for my job. He provided great communication and returned calls promptly. The technician that was sent to my house to perform the work was meticulous in covering/protecting my property while applying the coating. He was also an exceptional carpenter building the support stringer, replacing all the stair steps and crafting the two replacement sections of railing on the front porch. He worked from 8:30am until after 7:00pm with no breaks the first day. It was extremely hot that day but he took no breaks. The second day he returned and worked from 8:30am until 4:00pm again with no breaks. A very hard worker, polite, respectful and cleaned up all debris before leaving each day. There was a language barrier in the beginning - but we worked through that and he knew what needed to be done so it was not a problem. He was such a nice person. Rafael was always a phone call away during the two days the technician was on the job. Before my contract job started; I had on several occasions placed a call into the Deck Helmet toll free number to ask questions or get information concerning my contract. On each occasion, my call was answered by very pleasant people that wanted to help and I always received a call back from Deck Helmet in a timely manner.
My experience with Deck Helmet was very good, I am happy and would definitely recommend Deck Helmet. I know they have had some bad reviews - so I am very happy to give them a positive review based on my experience. I have a beautiful front porch and back deck with a 10 year warranty.

 any contact that they claim they gave us, buy taking out the money illegally from our account. i'm taking them to court and filing charges, additional charges will be as
 as well and there will be fees attached to them as well, please let them know that. thank you so much!

I absolutely love this company and their great customer service. The workers were awesome from start to finish. They were friendly, cheerful, and seemed to enjoy their job. They worked long days to powerwash my deck, buff chemicals into the remaining wood to cure it, replace rotted boards, and paint my deck. They were careful to put up plastic over my siding so that paint would not get on my house. There were several boards after painting where the grain of the wood raised up and would have been a problem for splinters. The company sent a crew out to pull up those boards and repaint the entire deck the next day! The carpentry crew was kind enough to remove some heavy planters and a table off my deck before painting. After the deck cured for 3 days, they came back to my house to put the table back on the deck for me. I am truly amazed by the fabulous customer service this company provides. My deck looks brand new even though it is 25 years old. I am getting so many compliments from family and friends about how beautiful my deck looks once again. I highly recommend this company.
