Today was our first time talking to the consumer...I have closed out the account as a dispute..Their will be no further...

They called my job regarding a credit card they claim I had 10 years ago. I have no knowledge of what they're referring to. The woman was very threatening, demanding a down payment of $50-$75. I explained that she could e-mail me the information, but I never had a credit card in 2006 so if this was indeed a legit claim, I would look into it. She again, was rude, and told me that wasn't acceptable and again, demanded a payment today. I hung up on her, and she proceeded to call my place of employment 3 more times before I threatened harassment charges.

Multiple times we were told that we would come to a resolution about this account...we hear this in our industry...

quite a bit...we have to pin down a day & dollar amount on what has to be paid...if you can't do the settlement, then we can do a payment arrangement until you can do a settlement.

I played the recordings & there was no use of profanity...She was actually the one using profanity that was...

recorded...She also paid us & then bounced the payment to our office....I contacted our client liason who told us she was 19 at the time....I will close this out anyway even though the debt is valid...we were never given a police report of fraud & the debtor admits that it is off her credit report & won't pay anyway.

I played back over 18 minutes of conversation & the word "garnishment" never came up nor did our representative ever...

discuss any of her children...In any case, I am closing the account out as a dispute...there will be no further contact from our office.

I am rejecting this response because: I don't understand what their response is to this matter. The reason I was calling that company was to inquire about a debt...

that isn't mine and wanted to see where this came from. Due to the manager screaming in the phone at me and insulting me I couldn't even get my view across. As stated this is NOT a debt of mine nor am I aware of any such card and I don't have this on my credit reports. If further harassment from this business persist I will contact a lawyer to resolve this matter.
