The complainant contacted our office on Sept 30, 2016, and requested details about her accountWe gave her a full explanation over the phone, and mailed her an itemization of her chargesAlthough she had given us an updated address, the document was returned by the post office as undeliverable
Over the course of the next four weeks, we left various messages for the complainant at the number she had confirmed to be hersOn November 2, 2016, complainant called us and asked why she hadn't received the charges; we explained about the mail returnShe re-corrected the address, and we mailed the charges againOn November 15, 2016, the complainant called our office and CONFIRMED THAT SHE RECEIVED THE ITEMIZATION OF CHARGESShe said that her insurance should have paid, and we explained that her insurance DID pay some of the charges, and that the remaining balance was her responsibilityShe wanted to call the hospital to discuss this, and we explained that that was fine, but that the bill in our office was for the emergency physician group that treated her, NOT the hospital chargesWe advised her that if she had an issue with what her insurance paid, she should contact her insurance carrier and discuss her coverage for such charges, and perhaps convince them to pay this balanceThe complainant called us again on December 13, 2016, and said that she called the hospital and was told she had no outstanding balance with themWe explained that we had already told her that her charges were for the ER physicians and not hospital facility chargesShe stated that she never has balances due once insurance is billed, and we reiterated that if she had an issue with the insurance, she should call her insurance carrierShe refused to accept our explanation. As you can see, what she claims in her complaint is a long way from what really happenedFurther, we reviewed the telephone calls and our representatives were anything but rude; they made every attempt to have complainant understand, she just refused to do soThe complainant owes the balance, and the account is accurately reported to the credit bureaus

I regret any confusion the complainant experienced in dealing with several different reps in our officeWe will mail him the letters that he's asked for on the accounts that he has paid in full, however he still has some open accounts in our office that will not be included in the letters

The complainant referred to CMRE in her complaint against us, but CMRE is a different collection agency located in BreaWe are DRSI in La Palma. Complainant does have an account in collections in our officeComplainant agreed on October 12, 2015, to make payments of $to resolve our
account, but never made any paymentsThen in December complainant mailed us a request to send a validation of debt, which we sent to complainant on December 28, We are reporting her account to the credit bureaus as 'disputed by consumer'.

I reject this information from the company. I never agreed to pay this debt, because this company did not provide proper validation to me, and I have never had a contract with this company. Validation includes providing me a copy of the original charges and the services provided. This company instead sent me a screen shot of their system with my name and an amount that is different than what they are reporting. This does not constitute proper validation. I have never agreed to pay this debt, and I repeat, I do not have a contract, nor have I ever had a contract with Designed Receivables

Did they actually see what my complaints were? It does not seem like they did, because they did not address my issues which were as follows: 1) I'm disputing one bill, or specifically the interest charges for that one bill One of their reps, *** ***, said that they would waive the interest charges and send me a deletion letter if I paid the original amount of $2, After I paid that bill, *** did not send the deletion letter as she said she would, and then would not return one of my several calls to her Then a manager named *** called me back saying that they would have to check the recording of the conversation between myself and *** *** and that she would get back to me after she listened to it I never heard back from ***, so I called her two times to see what she heard on the recording and she never called me back Instead, yet another rep named Andre called back saying that he had not listened to the conversation that *** *** and I had and that I could not listen to it and that he would provide the deletion letter only if I paid the interest charges. 2) My other complaint is that twice they gave me contradictory statements regarding their policy for providing deletion letters, claiming that it was illegal for them to email or fax deletion letters that involved medical bills, only to change that and say that if I paid other balances, they could in fact fax me a deletion letter right away I feel pretty sure that's tantamount to unfair business practices by Design Receivables Solution.

Complainant has accounts in our officeWe received her letter in which she requested account details for two of her accountsWe mailed her full account records for those two accounts on August 11, We also followed complainants instruction to discontinue any further phone contact

The complainant has mailed us nothing, and in February he filed other complaints with the CFPB making the same claimsWe have discontinued any contact with the complainant, per his request, and we have informed the credit bureaus to which his accounts are reported that he disputes themThe
complainant chooses not to contact our office but rather file complaints about his unpaid collection accountsWe have done nothing wrong in pursuing payment of these legally owed debts

The account for complainant was placed in our office on October 17, Our client notified us that they received full payment on April 22, 2014, at which time we began informing the credit bureaus that the account is paid in fullIf the complainant has information to show that the account is not
showing as paid in full in their credit report, they should forward that to our office so that we can research this matter further

As you can see, complainant did not elaborate whatsoever as to what her specific dispute is relative to our response to her original complaintThat being the case, there is nothing else for us to add here, so we continue to maintain our original responseIf complainant ever wants to resolve the accounts, our toll free telephone number remains ***

The complainant states we have received his account from our client 'illegally', which is falseHe has an unpaid account in our client's office and after complainant chose not to heed our clients' request for payments, they placed the account in our office for collectionsWe don't need a contract
with complainant, we have a contract with our client to collect their unpaid debtsComplainant claims that he has asked us 'many times' to validate his account, however he has only requested this info once; days ago on Sept (see his letter attached)We are in the process of responding to his letter now.Complainant filed a separate complaint against us with another entity alleging that we 're-age' account in order to keep credit reporting itIn our response to this allegation, we informed the complainant that he owes this account for as long as he exists; medical debts in California do not go away simply because of non-paymentThe statute of limitations to which the complainant referred in his former complaint only limits the amount of time we have to file litigation, it has nothing to do with how long a debt is owed, contrary to complainants statementsThe credit bureaus list bad debt collection accounts, such as complainants, for seven years, and that is why the debt appears in his credit profileIt has never been, nor will be, 're-aged'It might do complainant some good to study some of the matters he makes complaints about before he does so wantonlyAs stated, we are mailing to complainant a validation of debt as per the Fair Debt Collection Practices ActWe are not bound to respond to the various other demands that the complainant has made or will make

I regret any confusion the complainant experienced in dealing with several different reps in our officeWe will mail him the letters that he's asked for on the accounts that he has paid in full, however he still has some open accounts in our office that will not be included in the letters.

We are aware of complainants call on the 28th, at which time we informed her that our letter was mailed to her on the 23rdWe have no way of knowing that she still has not received the letter, therefore we had no reason to fax to herComplainant is free to contact our office toll free *** and provide the fax informationOur office closes at 5pm PST, and we will reopen Monday at 8am PST

Hmm, apparently the complainant did not read our former response to the complaintAs we said we would, we mailed a full validation and verification of the debt to the complainantShe can continue to complain all she wants to whomever she wants, we have fulfilled our responsibility of debt validation

Since the complainant chose not to provide any specifics whatsoever as to why he disagreed with our response to his complaint, we are unable to add any helpful information in response to his rebuttalWe stand firm on our earlier response; complainant owes the balances due and has not provided shred of evidence that he does not owe them

I have contacted the company several times? During my last contact, Wednesday the 28th of September, the Supervisor stated, "I will issue a faxed letter on Friday if you do not receive the mailed letter." ? It is Friday and I have not received such letter? My home is pending refinance based on this information and it is needed ASAPFive more days would be too long and I was told I could receive a fax letter as of today

The complainant is partially correct; there is no contract between complainant and our officeHowever there are contracts in place between the complainant and the hospital from which she sought medical servicesAnd that hospital has a contract with our office to collect bad debt collection
accounts on their behalfThe complainant has such accounts in our office (as of this date) and we have every right and intention to collect them from the complainantThe complainant also says the accounts aren't owed, therefore they must either be paid or included in a discharged bankruptcy; we would love to see proof of thatMeanwhile the complainant presently owes $16,

Complainant has had accounts in our office since In September she called us to say that she'd had ***, however we explained that it was far too late to bill ***Her accounts were set up as 'cash pay' with our client, there was no insurance or *** info providedIn April
of this year she sent us 'refusal to pay' letters, and in May this year she called again reiterating the *** storyComplainant owes both of the accounts in our officeWe have no idea what she is talking about with respect to her comment that we have 'no contract' with herWe have a contract with our client, the healthcare provider, and that calls for us to collect money from patients that don't pay them, such as the complainant
