Now that complainant has provided the police report that we've sought all along, we can conclude this matter after further investigation and will close the file. We have instructed the credit bureaus to delete the items from his credit.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

This account has been in our office since 2012. On July 25 2017 the complainant called our office. He agreed with the charges but claimed that he had provided our client with a secondary insurer that should have been billed. We have since spoken to our client and they have confirmed from their...

records that no secondary insurer was provided, although complainants primary insurer did process the claim. Complainant Has not provided us any evidence of his claim that he lived in Florida at time of service. Further, complainant never provided us with his attorney information, rather he told us that he had an attorney related to another medical claim of his. He never once instructed us to contact any attorney, and complainant is correct that we have the call recordings. Today we mailed complainant a full validation of his debt.

Complainant has had 2 accounts in our office since 2012. In September 2014 she called us to say that she'd had [redacted], however we explained that it was far too late to bill [redacted]. Her accounts were set up as 'cash pay' with our client, there was no insurance or [redacted] info provided. In April...

of this year she sent us 'refusal to pay' letters, and in May this year she called again reiterating the [redacted] story. Complainant owes both of the accounts in our office. We have no idea what she is talking about with respect to her comment that we have 'no contract' with her. We have a contract with our client, the healthcare provider, and that calls for us to collect money from patients that don't pay them, such as the complainant.

As you can see, complainant did not elaborate whatsoever as to what her specific dispute is relative to our response to her original complaint. That being the case, there is nothing else for us to add here, so we continue to maintain our original response. If complainant ever wants to resolve the accounts, our toll free telephone number remains [redacted].

If I have 5 accounts with his business why is this the only account being reported to all 3 credit bureaus? I have had many different "dialogues" with many people over the 7 years they have been reporting this debt. Are they really insinuating I haven't contacted them regarding this debt? That's absurd. I was actually an employee of this hospital at the time that they are claiming I brought a minor child in for care. I was never contacted by the hospital (my then employer) regarding this debt. My minor children still see the same providers they have seen since they were born which is an affiliate of this hospital. I have chesked with them and I don't have an outstanding balance in their office. So how was this bill generated? I have also since reached out to the hospital who states that they do not have any record of said debt and there is no balance owed by me to them. I have filed only one other complaint with CFPB regarding this debt because it has NEVER been validated. They have never sent me a contract with my signature showing that 1. I am responsible for this debt and 2. I then agreed to pay the debt. FYI there were 2 Octavia Porter's at the time they say I incurred this debt, she is a relative of mine. The only difference back then between her identification and mine was the day she was born on and the 1st 5 numbers of her SSN. Her birth month, year of birth and the last 4 of her SSN match mine. Her middle name is different from mine. I have explained this to this collection agency on more than one occasion over the last 7 years and that is the reason I deny the debt is mine. We have both been patients at this facility along with our minor children. I would like the debt PROPERLY verified via a contract with my signature on it. I have had to provide proof that other accounts at this facility were not mine because of the issue explained above. I cannot verify the debt with the original creditor as explained above. When I contact this collection agency the representatives are rude and vulgar, they yell and will not answer questions so I stopped calling and ask them not to contact me. I starting writing letters and filed that 1 complaint with the CFPB. This account/debt is not mine and I would like it removed from my credit file with all 3 bureaus until the account is proven to be mine. I also don't want this account sold to another collection agency and all attempts to collect this debt to cease until PROPER account verification has been established.

We have reviewed this matter and have concluded that the complainant fails to understand that in California, both spouses are responsible for the payment of each others medical necessities, whether or not they agree with that. I do not agree with the complainants version of events; he was VERY...

aggressive in his phone calls to us. In any event, after our manager spoke with complainant, we agreed to take his name off of the account so long as his spouse keeps her promise to pay the account. We also, as a courtesy, deleted the credit reporting of the account. All this was explained to the complainant on November 16, and so as far as we are concerned, the matter is resolved pending payment from the patient.

The complainant has 13 accounts in our office assigned over the years covering many service dates. She never advised our clients of a worker comp case, nor our office, until now. If these accounts are part of a work comp case, we will need to know the name of the employer, the comp carrier, the nature and date of injury, and the attorney of record. She can provide that information to our office by calling (800)518-7650, or mailing to: DRSI, 1 Centerpointe Drive #450, La Palma CA 90623. Once we receive this information we can begin a full investigation.

We have finally been able to locate the account that the patient refers to. Apparently the account belongs to a relative of hers that provided ID info on her. In any event, we have discussed this account with out client and our client has decided to cancel and close the account. We deleted the item from the credit bureaus on April 26 and sent a letter to the actual account holder on that same day.

This company knows exactly how they are operating.  In fact if they truly did have permission to withdraw funds from my account why didn't they dispute their ACH withdrawal complaint from me with the Federal Reserve when I filed the complaint about their illegal withdrawal from my account.  They did not dispute my complaint because the Federal Reserve would be investigated, and they had no such permission to access my funds electronically and they would be found out.  For some reason DRS has failed to answer to any of the demands I have made: to stop spoofing (calling from all different kinds of numbers and cities) me, to send me a statement with the account number and final amount I owe, and to send me a receipt upon final payment.  None of this has been addressed so what was the point of DRS's response to the Revdex.com?  I don't see how they claim this is resolution.  Get to the real issues DRS please, and stop wasting the time and energy of the Revdex.com and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.  Send me the single account number you say the account has, stop calling me, tell me my balance due, and send me a receipt when you receive final payment.  Please see attached ACH dispute claim form I submitted to my bank.  DRS did not dispute my complaint and my money was refunded to my account immediately.  I have paid DRS $1,000 out of $1,411.66.  Apparently they are more interested in harassing people than they are in getting their money.  People don't file complaints and write letters unless one has truly done something to make them angry.  Please ask them to just give me the information I have requested.  Thanks so much for your assistance.

The complainant referred to CMRE in her complaint against us, but CMRE is a different collection agency located in Brea. We are DRSI in La Palma. Complainant does have an account in collections in our office. Complainant agreed on October 12, 2015, to make 3 payments of $182.36 to resolve our...

account, but never made any payments. Then in December 2015 complainant mailed us a request to send a validation of debt, which we sent to complainant on December 28, 2015. We are reporting her account to the credit bureaus as 'disputed by consumer'.

The actions this company has taken against me has caused much grievance.  Therefore I will drop my complaint after this debt has been validated.I would like to see the original wet ink contract stating I owe this company a debt.  An accounting table that proves and shows how they arrived at the amount that they say I owe them.  I want to know the companies license number to collect debts and registration number.  I would like to see a contract giving them the authority to collect on a this so called debt as well.

Because complainant has multiple accounts in our office, there has been some confusion with different reps speaking to complainant. We are interested in resolving this amicably for all concerned, and the best way to do that is to speak to one another rather than going back and forth with this complaint dialogue. Complainant should call [redacted] toll free at [redacted], Ext. [redacted], to confirm status of accounts and resolve the 'deletion letter' issue. We regret that complainant feels that we have conducted 'unfair business', however complainant is asking for concessions that we do not ordinarily provide. Again, a simple call to our manager will resolve this.

We have mailed all relevant documents to the complainant as required pursuant to the tenets of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).

Interestingly, complainant has never contacted our office about his accounts, rather he has filed this complaint with the Revdex.com. We have sent letters to complainant and made many call attempts, to no avail. Complainant has 3 open accounts in our office. While he is correct that his insurance did...

process and make payment to all three accounts, he has co-pays and deductibles for each:For patient Dezi [redacted], DOS 3/22/16 at Marina Del Rey Hospital, he owes $268 (plus $23.20 interest)For patient Diago [redacted], DOS 9/7/12 at St. John's Health Center, he owes $145.40 (plus $46.57 interest)For patient [redacted], DOS 7/3/14 at Marina Del Rey Hospital, he owes $255.80 (plus interest $29.50)Complainant states that his insurance will verify that they paid 100% of these accounts. Complainant should forward that documentation to our office so that we can investigate further; we have confirmed with our clients this day that these balances remain unpaid and due from complainant. We are DRSI, 1 Centerpointe Drive #450, La Palma CA 90623, (800)518-7650

This complainant has filed this same complaint with various other entities and we have responded every time. The complainant has 5 accounts in our office, some where she was the patient to our client, and some where her minor child, for whom she is responsible, was he patient. We have sent her full...

and complete validation and verification of the debts. Instead of ever dialoguing with our office about the accounts, she simply files complaints against us. She owes the accounts, we have provided her all documentation to prove that, and the accounts are properly reported to the credit bureaus.

This debt was assigned to us on 1/13/15, for services rendered to complainant's daughter on 7/19/13. We called and spoke to complainant on 1/20/15; she informed us that she had [redacted], however the account was well beyond the one year limit that [redacted] allows for billing. The notices that we...

mailed to her were returned to us by the USPS. We called and spoke to complainant again on 4/28/15, she again told us about the [redacted] and we informed her that the bill is too old to submit to [redacted]. She said she would be in touch with us and hung up.

Did they actually see what my complaints were?   It does not seem like they did, because they did not address my issues which were as follows: 1) I'm disputing one bill, or specifically the interest charges for that one bill.  One of their reps, [redacted], said that they would waive the interest charges and send     me a deletion letter if I paid the original amount of $2,298.00.   After I paid that bill, [redacted] did not send the deletion letter as she said she would, and then would not     return one of my several calls to her.   Then a manager named [redacted] called me back saying that they would have to check the recording of the conversation     between myself and [redacted] and that she would get back to me after she listened to it.   I never heard back from [redacted], so I called her two times to see     what she heard on the recording and she never called me back.   Instead, yet another rep named Andre called back saying that he had not listened to the     conversation that [redacted] and I had and that I could not listen to it and that he would provide the deletion letter only if I paid the interest charges.  2) My other complaint is that twice they gave me contradictory statements regarding their policy for providing deletion letters, claiming that it was illegal for them to     email or fax deletion letters that involved medical bills, only to change that and say that if I paid other balances, they could in fact fax me a deletion letter right away.     I feel pretty sure that's tantamount to unfair business practices by Design Receivables Solution.
