Hi [redacted]. First I would like to apologize about the customer service we have been working very hard to make it better and we have hired more staff to handle phone calls and customer service.
class="">  The order was for a prescription filled glasses which always takes a little longer since we have to fill the prescription and we have to make sure that there is no mistakes and we have to verify it.   I can see that you emailed us and it took longer than our promised time to answer and we did communicate with you after that. And we even shipped it for you Rush overnight. With no extra charge. You have received it and I really hope you like it. and you can actually see that our prescriptions are filled with highest quality.   I would like to ask you to give us another chance to show you that we have actually improved our customer service.   Thank You [redacted]

Our products are genuine. We sell only original Gucci products, and it is covered with the manufacturers warranty for any defect.

The Worst Customer Service and Product Delivery
I ordered a pair of Ray-bans at a really great, sale price for my husband's Christmas gift on December *. The [redacted] tracking number says it was picked up on December [redacted], however it never left New Jersey.
After a few days of no tracking progress, I begin emailing Designer Optics, receiving no replies. A couple weeks later, I phone Designer Optics, twice, and was dropped both times, after waiting for a total of 1.5 hours. The hold message says, "Press #, leave a message, and they will call you back... the pressing of the # accomplishes nothing; you cannot leave a message.
A few days ago, I finally get an email, saying they would look into it, then nothing.
This morning my cell rings at 6:30 A.M., the message is almost inaudible, but I make out the words Designer Optics. I call back, and do get a person. To sum it up, she will ship out another pair, and suggested 2 day air. I agree. I think great...
NO! NOT SO GREAT! She is going to charge me for 2 day air. I say no thanks. She said she could do so for $10. Alright, I bite. After she obtains my credit card number, she tells me the grand total, it includes the price of the glasses... AGAIN!
The rep assured me there was no issue, because if the first order ever showed up, I could return them for a refund. So, am I supposed to pay twice for something I may never receive???
Ended that conversation quick, with the direction, "DO NOT CHARGE MY CARD FOR ANYTHING, EVER." Luckily my first order is covered through [redacted], it will just take awhile to process my refund.

This business has a bunch of issues but most of my issues have to do with refunds and refund amounts. I have returned multiple pairs of frames back to this business and the first time around they completely forgot to process my refund for a product they already had for a week. I had to call to tell them to refund my money back to my credit card. Again I returned frames only to find out they charged me a 20% restocking fee. Their website clearly states "if the order consists of 3 or more frames we will charge a 20% Restocking fee. other wise only the shipping will be deducted" and the order I returned only consisted of 2 frames but they charged me anyways. The mistake was made bc I sent back 3 frames in one box for the sake of saving on shipping costs but they were from 2 different orders. This is business has terrible customer service and horrible business practices. How do they even still exist?

Placed order March 10th, seen these reviews and decided to email on March 15th. No email response as of March 19th and nobody answers their “customer service” phone lines. I’m hoping this is not a scam and I actually receive the item I paid $148 for.

Designer Optics has not refunded or replaced a Pulsar watch that was defective because the hands do not glow in the dark very long so you can not see the time at night. Pulsar told me this is not right. Send watch back as email told me to do. Have not heard anything from them in 30 days. Filed a Revdex.com report which this company ignored causing a D+ rating by Revdex.com. The 14 day refund policy is a joke.

I ordered glasses for my mother and they were shipped to us not once, not twice, but THREE times with the incorrect prescription. I begged and pleaded with Designer Optics to please refund us so my mom could purchase a pair locally. She is OLD and hasn't been able to correctly see in over 6 months, thanks to Designer Optics. My poor mom was so excited about getting nice glasses and Designer Optics has repeatedly told us they are not going to refund or correct the issue. Two eye doctors confirmed that the last pair they sent were wrong and even wrote a letter saying which numbers were off. Designer Optics still refused to help. Very disheartening. Will be letting everyone we know know about this.

Review: I ordered a pair of glasses on tuesday. Since that day ive seen my order "procesing" till today. I ordered it for [redacted] who was going to be in las vegas till wednesday. And the pair of glasses havent arrived yet.

Ive been sending numerous mails an lots of calls without an answer.

Review: This company took over two weeks to ship an order. When I tried to contact them to see what was going on, I found they are completely unreachable by phone (they say they have a voicemail line where you can leave a message and they'll get back, but the voicemail box does not exist), and they ignored all of my emails until finally shipping the package. Once my package arrived, my order was in the wrong color. And it was a $130 item, not a particularly small purchase. I have been sitting on hold with them several times throughout this afternoon to no avail. I'm doubtful I will ever get my money back.Desired Settlement: I want the proper pair of sunglasses that I ordered delivered to me in a timely manner. If the item is unavailable, I would like a notification from the company informing me of this. I do not think this is an unreasonable request.

Ordered made online on 1/*/16.

Followed up via email to their email they provided on their website and off their automated messenger when you call their number they provide online.

I wanted to confirm when the delivery date would be, due to me going out of town.

I figured maybe Id have an idea after the purchase.

Continued to check back to see if the status changed but it continues to state processing when I go online to check.

No one ever answers the number they provide on their website and they state they are closed and direct you to send an email for assistance.

On 1/*/16 I sent an email stating I wanted to CANCEL my order - the website leads you to believe you can CANCEL your order but when you click the CANCEL ORDER button it takes you no where. Same screen showing your purchase details.

My money is being held and Im paying for a service that isnt being rendered and thats illegal.

Compared to other reviews Im afraid this may be a SCAM!Desired Settlement: Id like my full refund of $111.17 back.

Review: I purchased a pair of dolce & Gabanna glasses in November. It took weeks for the glasses to come and when they arrived they were severely bent. I sent them back. I received another pair weeks later and they were also bent. I asked for a refund and I was told there was no refund on prescription glasses. When I received the pair again they had scratches on the front part of the frame. They would no longer respond to my emails. I spent $200 and I can't even wear them. I just went to a big name optical retailer to order the same glasses since I can't wear the ones I purchased from designer optics. My new pair cost $300.00. So I have spent $500 on glasses.Desired Settlement: I would like to return the scratched glasses because I can't wear them. It is like throwing $200.00 away.

I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GET A REFUND FROM THIS COMPANY FOR WAY TO LONG.THEY HAVE THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED.

Review: I just filed a complaint against this company recently, and I closed the complaint because the money was refunded to my card, but my card was charged again for the same amount. Here is my original complaint:

I placed an order with Deisgner Optics a few days prior to this complaint. After my purchase I was sent a conformation email telling me my order was completed any my payment went through. Although, it wasn't until after my order that I decided to read some reviews on the business. What I found was horrendous. I proceeded to email the business simply to confirm that everything was in order because I felt uneasy, and they returned the next with an email that said that the item I had ordered is on backorder and will not be available to ship until March [redacted], despite not having mentioned this when I purchased the product. I then returned saying that I would like to cancel the order and be refunded the money, but no response. I sent another email asking again to cancel the order and be refunded the money, but no response. I also called their customer support line twice but I was placed on hold for an absurd about of time.Desired Settlement: I wish to be refunded my money.

It never picks up just rings non stop. I have called them for 7 days straight with no answer. I don't believe they are legitimate.

Dear Customer,As discussed over the phone with you that you want us the ship just the glasses without the lenses since you wasn't able to get the PD in time, we did so and the glasses were delivered to you on the [redacted] of January, I will be more then glad to refund you for the amount charge for the lenses but as long as the case you opened with pay pal is open I cannot do a partial refund for the transaction, so please let me know when the case is closed and I will refund you the amount paid for the lenses immediately.

Review: I placed an order December [redacted] for glasses with prescription lenses. After reading reviews after purchased I immediatey followed up with an email to make sure these were in stock and would ship. I was told yes within a few days. A week goes by no glasses or contact. Email again and was told again they were getting ready to ship. I paid for upgraded shipping and another week goes by still no glasses. I cannot get ahold of anyone on the phone no matter how many times you call or sit on hold. I send another email saying I have contacted my bank, Revdex.com, and [redacted] to get my money back and suddenly I get a response saying they don't have all my information for my prescription..even though in the last 2 emails they were already being made and getting ready to ship. I asked them to please overnight my frames with no lenses and refund my money for the prescription. They did overnight the glasses and send an email saying I will get my refund in 2-3 days. It has now been a week and still no refund or response on my emails now. Horrible customer service!Desired Settlement: Refund money for the priority mail shipping and prescription lenses.
